Darlings, who wants to jet off to Paris and hit a fabulous bar where we can all lean back in our chairs and see what we’d look like with facelifts? We do!

Ciel de Paris, Montparnasse Tower

Oh, right. The Final Four, which will probably wind up being the Final Three.

We hate to say it, but we’re not at all emotionally invested in any of these contestants. We honestly don’t care who wins it. That’s bad, right? Worse, we saw all of their collections walk the finale runway and we can barely remember anything about them. Also bad, right? Maybe the home visits will help us pick one to root for.

Gosh, what do you think the final twist could be? You don’t think they’d ask them to make another look do you? That’s CRAZY TALK.

Coooooool bar!! Sign me up for some champers, of course. I’m rooting for my home girl Melissa. I have a horrible feeling Dmitri is going to get the boot. Not cause he deserves it, more, rather, because he does not.

    • dress_up_doll

I never noticed Fabio’s scissor tattoo. That’s actually kinda cool. Too bad he’s getting the auf. Maybe…

      • MilaXX

Actually my money is on the pet getting the auf, in Lifetime’s not too subtle attempt at a fake out. Nonetheless I am so underwhelmed by this season I feel like I’m just going through the motions watching now.

I guess I’m team Fabio because he’s my crush, but I think the preordained one is Melissa.

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_64HSRZWCSJ5RBFGCWDLFQOICYM G

I loved Fabio’s collection – so I hope he survives tonight.

          • MilaXX

I loved it too, but really this has been such an underwhelming season. It sad that the best thing about this season is that all the designers can sew.

        • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

I hope to God little pet Christopher gets the auf!

        • dress_up_doll

I’ve also gotten the vibe that Melissa will probably win. Either her or Heidi’s season fave, Costello-lite.

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_ZBFH32YG44LIIZYLSQPMBXMYCU Sarah

Me too. I think he’s a really bo-ring designer, personally, but I know that doesn’t count for much. I kind of suspect that if it’s not him, it’ll be Dmitry, simply because he’s so calm and can’t be riled up, and that makes for lackluster television.

    • Stubenville

Bla, bla, bla, love your collection, Boris Badanov Dmitry. You’re out.

      Wanna bet?

      • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Already in your camp, my friend.

      • Call me Bee

        Yes–and I has a sad about the whole thing…

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Let’s not forget-women will want to wear your clothes as another kiss of death phrase from the clowns(oops, I meant the judges).

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

        NO!!!

    • Winter_White

At the beginning of this season I was happy that, for the first time, I did not loathe any of the designers’ personalities.  Then I realized it was also the first time I didn’t love anyone’s work.

      • DeTrop

My feelings exactly.  They all seemed tolerable and then I came to realize that they are a talentless bunch.  There were a few highlights I admit but no one stood out as the one to beat.  I’m thinking this crew is not very bright.  They show up with 3 designs to wow the judges and each and everyone of them had problems.  Fabio’s was delightful but did not look couture.  That print bra/top looked cheap and his clothes overall did not look like they belonged on a fashion runway.  Did he use the right materials?  Chris’ were downright sad.  Enough said. Dmitri’s tops were dreadful especially the one with the beaded neckline and fluffy cap sleeves. What?  Melissa’s was okay and she did send out outfits that spoke of her but the cuffs on the jacket????  Very Captain Hook.

    • SapphoPoet

Ah, the City of Light! I’m always up for going to Paris. A glass of iced water with a lemon twist, please. Oh, let’s go crazy and make it a lime twist. I’m feeling a bit queasy, which means I haven’t drunk enough water today.

As usual, I’ll be watching the episode online tomorrow morning. I like these designers as individuals (well, except for Costello-lite, who gets on my nerves), but I can’t honestly say that I was wowed by their collections. As TLo said, perhaps the home visits will convince me to cheer for someone.

One more chemo treatment to go, Kittens. Sending good health karma to my fellow chemo Kittens. Remember: FIGHT LIKE A GIRL!

      • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

You’re gonna roll right through this last one, my friend,

      • bitchybitchybitchy

One more chemo for you-you’ll get through this, I know!

      • Call me Bee

Oh yeah–you’ll do great.  We’re all sending good thoughts and good vibes!

      • NDC_IPCentral

Good for you, girlfriend, on seeing the infusion endline (when is it?  Hope your infusion center nurses make a nice farewell fuss over you.  Mine did in August, and then like a bad penny, there I turned up two weeks ago.)  My feet neuropathy seems to have receded slightly under vodka and tonic ministrations, which probably means time was the factor.  Hope yours is fading, too.  I would find numb fingers to be really difficult.

And I did trademark work on a variation of FIGHT LIKE A GIRL! a while back… memories, memories.

        • SapphoPoet

Final chemo treatment is next Wednesday. Then a few weeks off, then six weeks of daily radiation. So not done yet, but getting close. Onward!

Glad your feet neuropathy is fading. That must feel good.

I was putting together a scrapbook today for my son (he’s just started Montessori preschool and we were drowning under all the drawings and such that were coming home). Anyway, I was all butter-fingers putting that thing together. Could hardly do it. Also, my family has a genetic hand tremor which has kicked in a bit. My oncologist and the head nurse feel this will all clear up once I’m done. I certainly hope so. It’s been fairly mild, I think, but my fine motor skills are definitely affected.

        • formerlyAnon

Good to hear that the neuropathy seems to be receding. ONWARDS!

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

GOOD, WONDERFUL, AWESOME great health vibes to you!

      • formerlyAnon

So glad you’re almost done with the chemo! Good luck with the neuropathy, hope this is an extraordinarily good week!

      • Susan Crawford

So good to hear you have only one more treatment – I’ll join you for a champagne flute of iced water and lemon. Been powering through treatment myself and dealing with the queasiness and a random metallic taste to almost everything. (You think I might have swallowed one of PR’s industrial-strength zippers? Maybe that’s it, amirite?)

Love your advice, SapphoPoet: FIGHT LIKE A GIRL. I may have to start needlepointing that.

I’m late to the TLOunge tonight, and won’t catch the episode until tomorrow, but I dearly would love to see Costello-Lite get his little po-face comeuppance. I know he’s the little prince, so I must be strong. Still rooting madly for Comrade Snape.

        • formerlyAnon

All good wishes to you as well. Hope this is a good week and that you get a few of life’s small boosts to help you through the treatment slog.

      • olivelovetree

Fight like a girl!!! You’ve got this!

    • MilaXX

I could use a drink tonight. Such a long day.

      • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

I hear ya! Mine is only half over. I’ll be seeing the show tomorrow morning, as usual. So join me for some good bubbly, we’ll get virtually hammered, together.

        • MilaXX

it’s a deal. Start pouring and keep em’ coming

          • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

You got it, babe! Garçon? Encore de champagne! Who else is in?

            • bitchybitchybitchy

Allow me to sidle up to the bar!

            • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Here’s your glass, I saved a good one for you, baccarat.

            • Winter_White

Kiltd, you are a lovely person.  That’s all.

            • Call me Bee

I am!  I am!  Sorry about those bad days (huh–I’m apologizing because you had a bad day.  That’s what yer RC up-bringing gets ya…)
Anyway–youse guys can tell me all about it.  I’m always ready to lend a sympathetic ear…

            • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Wait till I get all blowzy and bibulous. You’ll get an ear full.

            • UsedtobeEP

Oooh, I had a bad one, too. Yuck.

            • baxterbaby

              “That’s what I said, Bub.”

            • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

I knew someone would pick up that reference. Thank you, Margo Channing,

            • baxterbaby

              In this heavenly crowd?  Inevitable!

    • everest19

All four of these contestants are great at making clothes in their own ways, but not one of them has an aesthetic I’m particularly drawn to. I’ve found myself rooting for Fabio and Melissa throughout, and I’m glad they made it this far, but I would not be unhappy, per say, if any of them won. I suppose if Christopher won I would be a bit disappointed just because its such an obvious choice.

      • SapphoPoet

        Well said.

      • Kate4queen

        This, exactly. :)

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

      Go home, Baby Christopher.

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

        Thank you!

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_ZBFH32YG44LIIZYLSQPMBXMYCU Sarah

          Indeed!

    • Call me Bee

      Look at the view!  Gorgeous!
I’ll join Kiltd in sme champagne if that’s ok.  I’ll get the next bottle.  I spent the day helping to finish costumes for the ballet’s production of La Boeme–set in Paris of the 1950s instead of Edwardian Paris of the original opera.  Chapagne seems the way to go!
I’m sure they’ll cut the finalists to three tonight.  I hope it’s not Dimitry that gets cut!  Though, I won’t be watching right away–have to see the debate tonight.  I’ll record and watch PR after the late news.

      • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Sounds like an interesting design approach. Are there sketches posted anywhere us interested PUFs can see them?

        • Call me Bee

There are a few rehearsal photos at milwaukeeballet.org, but no costume glimpses.  I’m sure after next weekend when the production is over,  there will be photos on the website.

        • Call me Bee

I doubt it.  There are some rehearsal photos on the Milwaukee Ballet website, but no costume glimpses, I’m afraid.  After next weekend, when the production is over, there will be lots of pics.

ETA: I looked at the website again. If you click on La Boheme, and find the link for the Program Guide–under a photo of dancers–you’ll see just a couple of the costume sketches.

          • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Give us the link, when its up!

      • Stubenville

It’s the best view in Paris, because you can’t see la Tour Montparnasse.  :^/

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=588149191 Rex Griffin Pyle

I’ll take a bourbon, neat, but there’s more important stuff than Project Runway on TV tonight.  Happy for DVR, but sad I’ll have to avoid spoilers until tomorrow evening.

    • bitchybitchybitchy

After the EWWWW that was season 9 of PR I’m on one level relieved that the remaining four designers can sew and construct recognizable garments. On another level, that is a sad comment on just how far this show has fallen.

Paris, however, looks fab. Let’s all jet over and pop some bubbly!

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

Analyzing Twitter feeds to find out the auf.

Christopher is “so excited” for tonight’s episode. Does he go through tonight, or is this him being the fake-y overreacting queen he always is?

Dmitry’s focused on fan favorite voting. Nothing against him, but with Elena’s hippie rallies, she’s kinda got it in the bag. (Nothing against Elena either. I’m all for saving endangered tigers, and besides, Elena’s proven herself to be kinda lovable.) Maybe he wants to win fan favorite because he’s auf’d tonight.

Melissa created a contest that is meant to give her more fan favorite votes. Maybe she’s auf’ed.

Fabio has said nothing, but he never really tweets anyway. Recently, he’s found out that the reason he’s stuck at 1% is because the “Fabio Costa” twitter on the official Lifetime website was a DIFFERENT guy. Poor Fabio. Anyway, dunno if he’s auf’ed ’cause he’s been a little inactive.

    • NDC_IPCentral

Oh, Tom and Lorenzo, I am so on board the Boredom Train.  I really don’t give a hoot about these four.  I’m opting for the Biden-Ryan debate instead, with a couple of flickers back and forth if necessary.  I’m counting you heroic gentlemen to do the heavy lifting and enlightening me tomorrow morning.  Politics over producer manipulation tonight.  Yes, yes, there’s manipulation of quite another sort going on on PBS, but… there’s a little more at stake.  Not that Bunim-Murray, the overwrought Lifetime voiceover guy and Frau Heidi would have one think.

      All the best,

      NDC

      • Winter_White

NDC_IPC, on behalf of the citizenry, thank you for doing your civic duty and watching the debate.  (My husband is watching; he’ll let me know what I missed…right now I am too frightened and freaked out to watch myself!)

      • http://profiles.google.com/shannonlstewart Shannon Stewart

That was my plan too — I could catch it this morning but the Biden debate was simply unmissable.

        • NDC_IPCentral

Shannon, you and I made the right choice.  That debate was pretty riveting TV, very lively, and Ms. Raddatz was an exceptionally good moderator – on top of the issues and she herded the men masterfully without appearing overbearing.  As to last night, looking at Our Boys’ recap post, I’m even gladder I opted for politics.

    • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

I’m totally on board with Dmitry making it to the final three.  As long as that happens, I’m content!  Although of course, internally, I’m hyperventilating….

      • Call me Bee

I am rigt there with you, Lisa!  Dimitry is the only one talented enough to be in the finale.

    • GorgeousThings

Mmmm, Paris – je t’aime! I’ll have a glass of Veuve Cliquot. I’m celebrating a very big thing tonight!

Left to right in the photo:
      Meh, Meh, Meh and Meh.

I don’t care who wins, though I can say that right now the one I’m rooting for the least is Christopher.

      • NDC_IPCentral

Care to share on The Very Big Thing?  Inquiring minds want to know!

        • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

I’m itching to know too! Thanks for asking.

      • MilaXX

Congrats on your very big thing

        • Winter_White

“Congrats on your very big thing.”  MilaXX, if you’re not currently employed with Hallmark as a greeting-card writer, you’ve missed your calling!  ;)  (Hope your kitten-girl and cat-boy are well?)

          • MilaXX

Kitties are well. Stormie has doubled in size. She goes to the vet next week for vaccines. Sadly having a kitten has made me see how old a 19 year old cat is.

            • Winter_White

Will Stormie be tested then, and be able to officially meet him?  My husband’s family had a cat who lived in good health until the age of 23…but of course, no matter how long they live, it’s never long enough because we love them.

            • MilaXX

yep, that’s the plan. She’ll get tested and vaccinated. Aloysious is good, and I will take whatever time I have with him. maybe playing with Stormie will be good for him.

            • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_ZBFH32YG44LIIZYLSQPMBXMYCU Sarah

I have a 3, a 4, and a 13. When the 3 year-old came into the 13 year-old’s life, and they began to play together (4 came later, I inherited her after my mom passed away) it seemed to put new life into him. He’s friskier now at 13 than he was at 10.

      • Call me Bee

Pray,  tell of this Big Thing.

      • formerlyAnon

Congrats on the Very Big Thing!

    • Janet B

I’m more excited about baseball tonight.

Like so many of you I don’t have any favorite designers, but I do like Dmitry’s sense of humor.  I’m hoping Costello-Lite will be auffed.

    • StellaZafella

Raven! Shannell ! JuJu B.! for the final 3!
Wait, wrong show, sorry, I’m ah’ready over this…

oh well, make mine something sweet, lite and no-alcohol I just wanna look at the pretty view!

      • batshitmomma

        that view IS gorgeous!
sure beats having an apple for dinner while bathing 3 kids, helping w/homework, organizing an auction, and doing laundry  while DH has a bad cold and is taking midterms 30 miles away.
ahh, Paris…(lots of carbs and ETOH given the current predicament)
ps when’s RU back?? I miss my Monday night pick-me-ups. That has me more interested than who wins next week.

        • Stubenville

RuPaul? Drag Race All Stars starts Monday October 22nd.

      • MilaXX

Did you see th Real Housewives spoof Latrice and Dida Ritz made? It’s hilarious!

    • Funkykatt

I am so bored with Project Runway. The only reason I watch is to be able to enjoy your comments. I keep waiting for Project Runway 4 AUS to show up online so I can watch that instead.

    • bitchybitchybitchy

That photo cracks me up-three of them in black, and Fabio’s wearing a bedsheet?

    • notdorothygale

I absolutely agree with you. I used to actually think about the PR finale for a couple of weeks before it happened. Now it’s “oh look, a post from TLo…oh yeah, the finale. Who are those people? I can’t remember their names.” Yet still I watch….

    • http://profiles.google.com/singingraisin ali meowmeow

Still hoping Elena manages to win it somehow.

      • KAJO11

        Me Too!
For the first time ever in Project Runway History!!!!  A Decoy Collection wins because it is far superior to any of the others!
Ever since Elena was aufed, this show has been a snooze. Especially knowing she had the best runway show IMO.

    • MintaHallWriter

I dunno. I kinda liked Melissa. I was DEEPLY disappointed by Dmitry’s final collection–I think either he gets auf’d this week or he just choked…and I was so OVER Christopher about 6 weeks ago.  Sigh…oh for the good old days…

    • libraangel

Come on T&L, admit that you are in LOOVE with Dmitry!!!

      • http://www.tomandlorenzo.com/ Tom and Lorenzo

        Uh…no.

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

        Yes!

    • http://www.facebook.com/bert.keeter Bert Keeter

      ZZZZzzzZZZ…

      • Stubenville

        [poke] Bert! Wake up!

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_ZBFH32YG44LIIZYLSQPMBXMYCU Sarah

Oh, lets just get rid of Christopher, shall we? He’s really not that good, all things considered. Quite the seamstress, but design wise, I could take it or leave it. Leave it, I mean. I would be thrilled to see his face on the auf, too. I got perfectly horrid news from the world of college financial aid yesterday, so in spite of my inablility to get properly drunk these days, I’m going to do my damndest by mixing up some Malibu and pineapple orange juice, taking pharmaceuticals, and pretending I’m someone else this evening. Someone with a paid for master’s degree and a LOT of money for clothes, and a private jet.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

Not sure if anyone remembers, but last week, Fabio was getting WAY WAY WAY more screentime than anyone else.

I was thinking he either getting set up for a win or an auf on that challenge, but neither of those things happened.

But now, a new theory. What if he’s getting a season-winner edit? That would be GLORIOUS.

    • baxterbaby

What can I drink to take the edge off, allow me to sleep and get up early and bright eyed for Housing Court tomorrow morning?

Maybe I should stick to eau avec gas; it’s as boring as this finale promises to be.

    • libraangel

p.s. Sappho Poet – Glad you are DONE with chemo!
p.p.s Maybe this season is boring, BUT remember Anya who could only make dresses, not pants, not sleeves! Couldn’t STAND that she kept winning!!!

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

This is going to be a boring as dirt episode, isn’t it. I am hoping for Fabio or Dmitry to win the whole thing, but thankfully none of them are offensive to me so I’m mostly like “whatevs bro.”

    • Amy Ennis

I am a whole other sort of nervous today. I entered a writing contest (I write trashy romance novels), and tonight is the last night to vote to see who goes on to the finals. It’s public voting, so I’m at the mercy of whoever has the most friends. However, I will stop panicking long enough to watch my boyfrand Dimitry.

    • guest2visits

That is quite the lounge!  Are there really mountains in the distance.. wow…

      • l_c_ann

No, Paris is on a Plain with the river cutting into it the least little bit.  Those are clouds off where mountains might be.

        • guest2visits

yup – I see it now; I must have been at the bar too long.

    • l_c_ann

A vague memory of something Tim said before the season started about expecting the viewers to be up in arms about the judges’ decision to auf a favorite.Has that happened yet?

      For me, it hasn’t.

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

        I hope it’s Christopher.

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

They said “early favorite” and “before the finals”.

Whether we’re in the finals now is debatable, but I’m pretty sure that shocking elimination was meant to be Ven.

        • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

True, but no one was up in arms about Ven being auf’d.

          • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

And for Tim Gunn to EXPECT the viewers to be up in arms over Ven is odd, considering Tim had a poorly-veiled dislike for him.

            • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

True again – so I’d still think (hope!) it’s Christopher.

            • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

              Don’t forget that Dmitry’s gained a really heavy following…
(Just for being a class act, I hope he isn’t auf’d. His collection does kinda blow, though)

            • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

You’ll hear me cry from NY if he gets the auf!

    • StelledelMare

I’m with you on the lack of emotional investment this season.  The final collections left are so boring and I still say we all already know who they’re giving this one to. I’ll watch for a bit maybe and probably just tune in for the last half hour of next week’s episode.

    • littlemissstrange

I don’t think anybody really cares with this season. I actually watched it though… don’t know why. I quit halfway through the last season. This one’s not any better. Dmitry and Fabio are all right. But they don’t make sense to me as Project Runway finalists. And the other two don’t even make sense to me as designers.

I have however been watching Seth Aaron’s season now, which I never saw on TV because it came after the Lifetime move and the horrible LA season and I was all kinds of pissy. Season 7 was actually pretty good though, tons of talent there. I long for talent.

Gonna drink my drink and reminisce about the good ol’ Project Runway days now.

    • Sara__B

Boring, indeed. Not one of these four made a final collection that makes me interested to see what else they can do. They seem likeable — and I adore Dmity’s wry sense of humor — but I don’t care who wins, or who makes it to the final three.  (If I cared enough I’d go back and count how many of the 80 some comments before mine use some form of the word “boring”.)

    • nannypoo

Christopher will win, that little drama queen. Give him a tiara now, why dontcha, so we can all perform our civic duty and watch the debate. Either way, I will need a bottle of Malbec to get through this night.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Give Christopher the tiara, a sash that says “PR Season 10″ and let him weep his way down the catwalk blowing kisses….
Unfortunately I forgot to get the case of Merlot for viewing this week’s trainwreck.

    • BrooklynBomber

Hmmm. Debate or PR? (Or have I missed the debate already?) Sigh.

      • Stubenville

BB – watch the debate if you haven’t made your mind up. Otherwise stay here and dish.

        • BrooklynBomber

Debate won. I can watch PR later.

      • NDC_IPCentral

Debate starts on the hour – 7 minutes from this post.  I recommend debate, BB.  PR lacks the gravitas, and these are important days and weeks.  No bad cess on TLo, of course, but PR S10 the penultimate show – not in the same league as the debate, to say the least.

        • BrooklynBomber

I watched the Biden Ryan Hour.

    • littlemissstrange

Also I am super excited/terrified for the upcoming second season of PR All-Stars. Wendy Pepper. Andrae. And I forget who else but just the fact that those two are coming back…. I am giddy about seeing Andrae again and horrified at the return of Wendy.

So yeah…. fuck season 10, I’ll read what happens on here but I ain’t watching that shit NO MO.

      • Stubenville

I’m secretly hoping for a team challenge with Wendy Pepper, Ivy, and Josh forced to work together.  BWAHAHAHA!!!

        • littlemissstrange

Oh my god…. OH MY GOD isn’t Suede coming back too? I just remembered seeing that little shit in the promos. Now I don’t know if I’ll be able to watch the show. *shudders with disgust*

Nah you know what, I’m not gonna give him the satisfaction of having disgusted me, I’m just gonna put a piece of paper over him on the screen and fucking pretend he’s not there.

Team challenge with Wendy and Josh would be enough entertainment for me. Team challenge with Wendy and anyone actually. That’s quality reality television.

        • http://twitter.com/Alloyjane Alloy Jane

If you check the White Board, the first challenge is a *gasp* TEAM CHALLENGE.  Put on your Jerry Tam originals, it’s gonna rain blood!

      • judybrowni

I’ve only read about this season here — much more fun.

Tried to watch one episode on the Lifetime website, but yawn….

Howsomever, the return of PR All-Stars brings back some Bravo favs and horrors, I will watch that ‘un.

    • Lilithcat

I’m not invested in any of the contestants, either, though I’d rather Christopher lose as I think he will be insufferable if he wins.

    • Stubenville

I just read that Mila has opened an online shop.

      http://shop.milahermanovski.com/

    • Stubenville

Mila opened an online shop, but Disqus won’t let me include a link. Just Google Mila Hermanovski.

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

        Mila is amazing.
And she wasn’t even the winner of her season! Ah, I miss the days of talent.

      • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

:sigh: It’s all too rich for my blood.

      • ChristinaRi

        Thanks for the notice!

        http://shop.milahermanovski.com

    • alula_auburn

Ugh, I just turned the channel to Lifetime and now I’m mad about Christopher  going and Sonjia being aufed all over again.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

It begins. Meanwhile, I just had a drink with Bison Grass vodka in it. I recommend – it’s a delicious flavor of vodka with coconut and vanilla notes.

    • ChristinaRi

      Hola Chiquitas!

The only one whose collection I liked from the pictures was Fabio.   I love Dimtry the most, but I didn’t like his collection.

      • Pennymac

I poured over them when they were first posted and don’t remember a thing about any of them.  Hmmm. Not good.

    • Stubenville

More awkward shots of Tim trying to drive!

      • http://eclectictsunami.blogspot.com/ Cassie

        *snerk*

    • http://eclectictsunami.blogspot.com/ Cassie

Five weeks for a NYFW collection? That is such crap.

But – STOP THE PRESSES! HEIDI IS WEARING PANTS!!!11!

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Heidi is surprisingly covered up-thankfully after last week’s frightfest.

        • zelavie

One of the nicest outfits she’s worn on the show!

    • Kimbolina

      Massapequa!  My uncle lives there!

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

It’s along the same LIRR line to my boyfriend’s place – he’s in Babylon.

      • baxterbaby

I grew up in Massapequa Park AND in an Italian-American family.  His  family, the house, the neighborhood, jeez…deja vu.

        • Kimbolina

Oooh, awesome.  Technically, my uncle is also in Massapequa Park.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

Tim’s outfit is double-plus fab. TLo, please include screenshots! (And possibly links so I can window-shop for the boyfriend).

    • SnackBandit

      “I just added a zipper!”
      Of course you did, Christopher.

      • Stubenville

        Nobel Prize worthy!

        /snark

    • Stubenville

Can’t wait to hear the Korsotron 3000 on that print!

    • MilaXX

Christopher aimed haunting and alluring and landed on boring

    • Pennymac

Okay, that back xray of his mom’s is just creepy!

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

It really is.  Who the hell would want that as a print?

        • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

is he a mama’s boy, or what?  i’ve had enough back surgery, thank you very much.  “this is my workspace”.  come on, baby, that’s your mama’s den.  and who’s the guy.  we hear all about his sisters, but, i didn’t even hear them introduce the guy.  love interest, brother, groupie, random hobo, back-up dancer, what?

          • l_c_ann

I think they gave the guy’s name and his status as “Boyfriend” at the bottom of the screen.

    • Stubenville

Oh Tim; just measure the little twerp for his crown tiara.

    • alula_auburn

Huh, I wondered what was up with that print in his final collection.  Having seen the explanation, I still think it’s between “meh” and “fug.”  And way too literal.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Somehow it’s creeping me out. When I shop for clothes I really don’t want to buy a gauzy print of a person’s x-ray.

    • lessax3

I bet those sisters have some stories about their brother the princess.

    • Kimbolina

Aww, his family seems nice though.

    • ChristinaRi

Well,  Christopher’s back story of tragedy is coming from such a middle of the road American family.  :D

      • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

well, his grandmother died and there were, ladybugs, you know.  shed a tear.

    • zelavie

I kinda like the x-ray as a print.

    • zelavie

      “It’s not the money.

Lie.  I would love the money.”

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

That was hilarious!  I loved it.

    • MilaXX

I cannot believe how sexy I find Fabio.

      • ChristinaRi

That’s cute.  I really like him, but can’t imagine doing anything sexy with him.   Wasn’t he the one with a really cute boyfriend?

      • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

i’m with you, although i know he plays for the TLo team.  there’s something deep and sensual about his face and his manners.  that he’s brazilian fits right in, although i had been puzzled by his ethnicity.  mid-east, north africa?

    • Stubenville

      Granny Clampett boots!

    • http://eclectictsunami.blogspot.com/ Cassie

Fabio, will you be my best friend, please? He just seems lovely.

Oh my god those pants hurt my feelings.

    • Kimbolina

I like Fabio’s pieces but man, those boots are fug.

      • ChristinaRi

I don’t remember the boots from the runway photos, but heavens!  i understood Tim completely.

    • dress_up_doll

Oh no, Fabio. Fringe is never your friend.

      • dress_up_doll

        I meant, Dimitry.

    • ChristinaRi

      oh my god Dimtry —

      No fringe!

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Step away from the fringe, Snape. It is not your friend.

    • MilaXX

Tim didn’t tell him that yellow dress is ugly!!!!

    • ChristinaRi

Have to say, I’m disappointed in the tea bags, Dimtry.

    • Stubenville

So B&M gave up on having Tim attempt to drive a car for the camera.

      • CozyCat

They probably didn’t want to shell out the big bucks for the insurance.

    • http://eclectictsunami.blogspot.com/ Cassie

“I really love fringe…” OH GOD NO STOP RIGHT THERE PLEASE I LOVE YOU BUT STOP.

      • Tapetum

Unfortunately nearly every high-end dancer I’ve ever talked to loves-loves-loves fringe because it amplifies movement. So I think Comrade Snape is being done in by his past as a ballroom dancer.

        • http://profiles.google.com/gillianholroyd gillian holroyd

And, just reviewing some of the Divine Bennett’s final collection, she used a lot of fringe, marabou feathers for movement but hers looked, well, divine.

          • Tapetum

If I remember correctly, her fringe was much finer than Dimitry’s, providing more delicacy and movement both. There are times when I love fringe and the movement it provides, but fringe of leather strips never looks anything but wannabe cowboy to me.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

Oop, they’re talking about when she learned how to sew. Melissa’s going to win. >.>

    • Kimbolina

One good thing about the finalists, they’re all so nice to each other so we don’t have to deal with stupid drama BS.

    • Jasmaree

      That work space is GORGEOUS.

    • dress_up_doll

You know what’s missing from this episode? A villain. They’re all so happy, likeable and nice.

      • Carol Melichar

I have to admit that I am fine with everyone being nice and liking each other .  I’m not a fan of that kind of drama. But I agree with whoever said they had switched to story lines instead of creation and that I a sad about. I enjoy the drama of bringing an idea to fruition.

    • http://eclectictsunami.blogspot.com/ Cassie

Christopher doesn’t think that Melissa sufficiently pushed the envelope. Oh my god, dude.

    • Stubenville

What sorcery is this? The designers are being supportive and nice to each other? Blasphemy!

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

I like it.  Call me a sap, but I like when they’re nice to each other.

      • alula_auburn

Except you can count on Chris to be a little snotty in his interviews.

      • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

as opposed to the first season, where they had to hide the sharp objects.

    • Kimbolina

      Fabio’s “Hi Tiiim” is adorable.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/DBSIHWVY4ECXGNXAXFXJMSCNIE Katrin

Are they required to show up in NY with work left to do? Because you’d think they’d be done with everything, since this is Project Runway and last minute challenges/changes/toddler outfits do tend to happen. I wouldn’t risk not being able to finish my hems and zippers, because I have to suddenly design a pair of pants out of whatever Fabio is carrying around in that pouch.

Talking about Fabio, why is everybody so excited about the “color” in his collection. What color? I see mostly white.

      • Stubenville

Jeffrey Sebelia showed up with everything finished…. and was accused of cheating.

        • http://profile.yahoo.com/DBSIHWVY4ECXGNXAXFXJMSCNIE Katrin

I get that they have to make alterations to fit their models, but shouldn’t everything else be done? I’d be working through the night at home!

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_357TFVPV6EBXLSKZ3HHJMCLYZU Victoria

And I was so mad at Laura for accusing him. If anything, he was the smartest – plan to get as much, if not all of your collection done by the time you go to NY bc you know there will be a “twist” and will have to create something else. I know Jeffrey-Angela-Angela’s mom was awful but I really loved Jeffrey’s final collection

          • http://twitter.com/Alloyjane Alloy Jane

Yeah, that really made me angry too, the accusation.  And back then didn’t they have twelve weeks to work on their collections? It was such a thrill when Seth Aaron showed up with 25 looks to NYFW his season.  It just goes to show.

          • http://profiles.google.com/shannonlstewart Shannon Stewart

Me too.  A) there was never going to be anyway to prove it even if it was true, so why mention it at all?  And b) looking at the difference between where he was working and where she was working, I’d expect to him to have far more done — it’s not easy to work with kids running around like that.

      • alula_auburn

Yeah, but compared to most of this season it’s a rainbow riot.

        • http://profile.yahoo.com/DBSIHWVY4ECXGNXAXFXJMSCNIE Katrin

I’m still hoping for a challenge that bans black, grey, white and brown.

          • l_c_ann

That challenge won’t happen as long as it’s New York.

Move it to Miami and sunlight and warmth and watch the colors shift.

      • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

        In 5 weeks?

    • MilaXX

Oh Dmitry you got a bit of pot/kettle going on there.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/DBSIHWVY4ECXGNXAXFXJMSCNIE Katrin

The most exciting thing so far is Tim’s knitted tie.

    • alula_auburn

How is having to show three looks to the judges shocking?  Why wouldn’t they have thought about this beforehand?  I never understand these things.

      • http://viridianpostcard.blogspot.com/ viridian61

Presenting a mini collection has certainly been done before in PR history …should have been expected, in my opinion.

        • zelavie

Absolutely should have been expected – that’s what they do every time they announce that not everyone is guaranteed a spot in the finale.

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/DBSIHWVY4ECXGNXAXFXJMSCNIE Katrin

It’s like not having ever watched the show before was a prerequisite for getting casted.

        • formerlyAnon

Really, I’ve been wondering about this for several seasons now. I have come to suspect that if you seem too intimately familiar with the show you’re eliminated from the casting pool.

Because the only other plausible theory is that designers who make the show are stupid, or at least clinically deficient in the capacity for analytical reasoning.

    • MilaXX

Like those tiny drops of bleach are even noticeable unless you’re up close.

      • Stubenville

They look more like dirt to me…

      • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

        In the pitch-black runway? Hahahahahaha.

    • MilaXX

This episode is making me feel all stabby!

    • Kimbolina

Yeesh, Dimitry’s middle look…  The top is super tacky.

      • ChristinaRi

tbh, a lot of his collection looked tacky.  Made me want to cry.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

I really like Dmitry, but that sheer black top just sent me into hate mode. And the damn feathers and the jeweled thing? Overworked to within an inch of its life. On the other hand, I like the white pants, the dress is pretty cool, and the jacket is a good piece (would have been even better w/o the fringe)>

    • Kimbolina

And why the hell are the model fittings like 2 seconds before the runway?  WTF?

      • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

i wondered when they were going to mention the models.  it’s like, since they don’t have their own show anymore, lifetime thinks they’re just hangers.

      • 3boysful

“Designers, you have an hour to fit your models . . . but no time to make the alterations!!”

    • alula_auburn

The sheer volume of yogurt commercials during these episodes is hilarious to me.  Oh, Lifetime.

      • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

Right? I’m about to go to my fridge for one. (The power of suggestion.)

    • ChristinaRi

Dimtry — don’t be stupid.   Don’t be stubborn.

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

I’m freaking nervous as hell for him!

      • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

really.  if you’re going to use color, show them.  they’re not gonna let you explain anything.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

UGH JOSH IN A COMMERCIAL I DON’T NEED MORE OF HIM CAN HE GO HOME FIRST?

      I apologize for that punctuation-free all-caps outburst.

      • Jasmaree

There’s a good chance he’ll leave early. Pretty much everyone there is better than him.

        • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

We can only hope. Because otherwise the producers might make him win the whole thing. /gag

      • Stubenville

Please no; I want to see Wendy Pepper and Ivy torture him.

        • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

          That would be priceless.

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/DBSIHWVY4ECXGNXAXFXJMSCNIE Katrin

He looks so much bigger. Like, bulkier. Did he work out? That’s a scary thought.

      • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

maybe he’ll explode before the season starts.  one can always hope.

        • bitchybitchybitchy

An explosion of spray tan and steroids, coming to your TV! Josh goes out in a very big way!

      • VicksieDo

I’ll start watching that one ONLY when he’s gone, I loathe him.

    • ChristinaRi

Dimtry looks like he’s wearing a cast off skater’s costume.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

So, I basically spaced out the entire episode before just now. I missed basically nothing. /yawn.

    • MilaXX

yeah cause there’s a HUGE difference between berry and red lips.
      ::eyeroll::

      • Jasmaree

And two designers with berry-lipped models? Absurd! The judges would surely comment on that.

      • ChristinaRi

no,no, no.   It was BLOOD red lips.   That’s the difference.

    • alula_auburn

Oh, Dmitry, why the eyebrows?  I don’t understand, even if you are adorable when you stick out your tongue while you think.

Speaking of styling, I also don’t get Fabio’s model’s hair.  Also, Melissa really needs to lose the dark lipstick.  She looks so much better in her talking heads.

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

I’m nervous for him, but I still think he could be in this.

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

i’m in the middle of a commercial here.  can i propose a toast in the tlounge to my darling matilda dog who went to sleep yesterday at age 14 yrs.  she was the very best dog ever.  RIP my angel.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Yes, you may- and my sympathy on your loss. A wonderful dog is a true companion and a blessing.

      • formerlyAnon

RIP indeed. They deserve it, our furry buddies.

My daughter’s dog – a Very Good Dog – left us today, also at [an estimated] 14 years, he’s been in our family for 11. It was time, and he died peacefully.

Hugs to you, it sounds like Matilda was a heart dog.

        • BrooklynBomber

So sorry to hear this. As mentioned above, I just marked the 2nd year since my own little sweetie departed, so I have a good idea how you feel. Condolences & hugs to you and your family.

RIP, Matilda. It’s so hard when our friends have to go.

      • BrooklynBomber

Oh, dear, I’m so sorry! Tuesday was the 2nd anniversary of the day my little sweetie pup left me; I still dream about her. So very sorry for your loss.

    • Kimbolina

Not a fan of Fabio’s hair styling choice…

      • MilaXX

         yeah like 2 Stooges

        • Kimbolina

I think at least 50% of the boys in my elementary school had that same mushroom cut.

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

At least he changed it for the final runway to tasteful braided ponys.

    • MilaXX

I am embarrassed for Bobbi K & the entire Whitney Houston family for this train wreck that is being released on the world.

      • Stubenville

Money makes the world go round…

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/DBSIHWVY4ECXGNXAXFXJMSCNIE Katrin

Isn’t she getting married to her “brother”?

        • MilaXX

yeah, they but they aren’t blood relative. Just a stray Whitney took in. He was never formally adopted or fostered.

          • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_357TFVPV6EBXLSKZ3HHJMCLYZU Victoria

But weren’t they raised together since they were little?

            • MilaXX

I think he was 10 or so. Not 100% on that. Still if she has always known that’s not her brother. Honestly I’m not that invested in them to care if they do get married.

            • MilaXX

Saw on the news this morning he moved in when he was 12.

    • Kimbolina

I honestly have no idea who’s getting the auf.  There’s a lot of questionable choices in everyone’s looks.

    • Stubenville

      Hate Dmitri’s tops…

    • ChristinaRi

I wish you the best Dimtry.  Good for you that you never know what the judges will do.

    • lessax3

Who are all these women who go around town in see thru tops?

      • Stubenville

        $1.95 hookers.

        • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

or off-duty models during fashion week.

    • Stubenville

Christopher’s look like hoochie mall clothes

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

Christopher’s seems less like a Fashion week collection and more like a capsule collection for Scoop on All On The Line.

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

To me, they’re pre-Joe clothes. Ick to all of them.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/DBSIHWVY4ECXGNXAXFXJMSCNIE Katrin

I don’t hate the xray print. What is wrong with me???

    • Stubenville

Fabio’s just looks like a snooze, except for the hiddy shoes.

      • CozyCat

But he will benefit from the fact that it’s the only collection that isn’t black and white and leather.

        • Stubenville

True. He’s a nice guy so I hope he goes on. They’re all underwhelming.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

Fabio has the mot thoughtful collection, but i’m not sure how that translates to just showing three pieces….

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

      “i’m a project runway all-star”  no, you’re an ass-wipe, josh.

    • Stubenville

Melissa – ugly top and boring LBD. Yawn.

    • Jasmaree

I feel like Melissa’s collection has the least personality.

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

For a “rocker chick”, her collection sure did have a lot of variations on the same boring dress.

    • Kimbolina

Man, I’m really unimpressed with all of them.  Mehhhh.

    • ChristinaRi

      I think Melissa is IN.

I don’t know about the other three.

    • MilaXX

      Dmtry – 1 nice, 1 borderline hoochie , 1 fug
Christopher – meh, meh, and blah ( like Costello original version he confuses same color with cohesion)
Fabio – meh, top is wonky, like
      Melissa -rocker, nice, meh

I don’t know darn near don’t care who’s going/staying. This entire ep feels like filler

    • Jasmaree

“My life is a lifetime movie.”

So…you’re constantly being chased by your murderous, crazy ex-boyfriend?

    • zelavie

The fit on Fabio’s crop top is AWFUL.  It is highly unkind to boobs.  The back is cute, but seriously, did he even put that on a woman before bringing it with him??

      • ChristinaRi

From his comments, I thought he wanted the top that way.   But it violates Heidi’s rule  of No Crimes Against Boobies.

        • emily mcginnis

but Heidi has committed many crimes against her boobies this season.

          • ChristinaRi

            And not only her boobies!

    • UsedtobeEP

Ugh. Have had a bad day, have bronchitis, and now I think Dmitri is going to get sent home for that black sheer top. That’s three strikes, people.

    • reganmeister

Dimitry’s last look is the only thing that makes me sadder than his lack of friends and store bought cookies.

      • AnneElliot

I noticed that — has he no friends and family to meet Tim?  First time I’ve seen that on PR.  I was hoping for a look at his significant other.

        • reganmeister

Well–Kenley didn’t, ’cause she’s awful, and Ulli didn’t, ’cause she, like Dimitry, is a loooooong way from home.  And I guess Ulli and Dimitry are both a bit older and more serious–“Just look at my stuff, Tim, and tell me what you think.”  But still-that visit was like dropping by Grandma at her new condo.

    • guest2visits

Why does it appear they all chose the oddest or worst of their collections to show.  How many leather shorts are there in the world….

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1344922354 Eric Scheirer Stott

They are playing to the home audience?

        • guest2visits

So.. it turns out some were saving their best stuff to ‘wow’ the judges at the big show. But if the point was to give
the final ‘auf’ judgement – why show the least and most boring? (Dimitry + Fabio showed what they considered their best).
It’s probably me; I have issues with ALL of their RW collections that I peeked at.

          • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

It’s not really that Dmitry and Fabio showed their best. They both have better pieces. It’s that their collections aren’t made of “plain dress i pulled out of my trickbag” filler otherwise.

            • guest2visits

… but I surely heard Fabio say THAT was his favorite piece (the dress or the 3-piece mess?); and didn’t
Dimitry say he wanted to bring the judges a good representation of his collection (don’t recall the exact
phrasing), and his pieces really seemed to reflect the rest of his line’s aesthetic. -?-
Anyway; I think I get your point.
There appears to be more wresting over these somewhat disappointing collections than the more
superbly imagined and pleasing designs of RWs past.
Which brings me back to wondering – how  in the world can the designers take advantage of the judge’s
last minute advice when everything has already been completed, except for some styling pointers, ?

eta: please pardon if this somehow appears twice; disqus has me puzzled today. (again)

      • hoez

No time is the chief reason, I imagine. Also things didn’t fit models and they had zero time to alter.

    • ChristinaRi

Fit on Dimtry’s white dress is odd.

      • alula_auburn

I hated to say it, but yeah, it’s not quite as impeccably fitted as usual.  I’m not sure if it’s because of the number of cutouts, or just that it isn’t on his regular model.

    • Kimbolina

WTF are Fabio’s necklaces made of?  It looks like that plastic backing stuff you use for those latch-hook carpet kits or whatever.

Also, the fact that Nina said Dimitry’s was sophisticated…?  And Kors likes the fringe on that jacket?!?  What the hell is going on??

    • alula_auburn

I love Dmitry, but that jacket ain’t simple or pure.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

I did think the judges were correct in pointing out that Dmitry sent out pieces that were overworked. I liked the jacket, but I would have liked it much more if he had given the sleeves a simpler treatment. There is enough going on with that jacket without fringed sleeves.  He might also have sent that jacket out with a simple black tank top and those white pants that he sent down the runway with that overwrought sheer top(which I hated).

    • Stubenville

Dmitri sounds like he’s safe. Fingers crossed…

    • dress_up_doll

Thank you, Heidi. I, too, wondered why on earth Christopher selected those two shorts looks. They’re actually kinda tacky.

      • Stubenville

        It worked for Gretchen…

      • hoez

“These are all that fit me right now” :x

    • Kimbolina

How many times has Melissa made that dress??

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

After her layered “woman on the go” look, she basically defaulted to that dress for the rest of the competition. Even her winning look.

        • l_c_ann

I’m tired, I read that as
          “Even her whining look.”

    • MilaXX

please those handbags are etsy shop

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Praising the handbags was another sign of desperation. The judges have invested too much to send Melissa home.  I don’t mind her, but I hated that wacky top with the shorts-will designers please get over this compulsion to show off the midriff?

    • MilaXX

oh Nina I love you! “Just cut them off.”

    • Joe J

Oh Nina, just decapitate them and spit on the bloody stumps.

    • Jasmaree

And we finally get our Nina moment of the season. I felt like, for those few seconds, she was back.

“You have to do something with those sleeves.”
      “Yeah…they can go down like–”
      “Just cut them off.”

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

TLo, please do at least one Ninacap before this season ends.

Thank you Verizon. My channel just dropped out and I have to reboot the set top box.  Grrrr.

      • http://twitter.com/TorrinPaige Heather

Mine started doing that. After resetting it 5 times a day, I finally called. They overnighted me a new one (with three times the DVR capacity!) and it has been smooth sailing ever since. So call and tel them!

    • Kimbolina

Ok, as much as I like Dimitry, I just really do not get the praise they’re heaping on this stuff.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1344922354 Eric Scheirer Stott

They’re nice, but not half as nice as he thinks they are.

    • ChristinaRi

Shouldn’t all of us be watching the V-P debate??

      Nah.

      • Stubenville

No need to for me. I made my mind up ages ago.

        • ChristinaRi

Me too.   I don’t want any facts getting in my way now.

        • Kimbolina

Same here.  I just want Election Day to get here so I can vote and not have to see all of the annoying campaign ads anymore.

          • Stubenville

But you realize that the day after, there will be whining and accusations and finger pointing and claims of a rigged election, right?

        • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

      • hoez

It looked like something was hanging out and NO ONE MENTIONED A THING. What the heck? hahahaha

    • ChristinaRi

I think they are all going to be IN.   Maybe I’m just hoping.

      • Stubenville

        It has happened before.

        • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

I’d be okay with that if a final four meant Dmitry’s in.

            You called it, Stuebenville!!!  WHEEEE!!!!

      • Courtney Ashe

      • dress_up_doll

        Tou were right!

        good call!

hahahah Fabio “all my saging worked!”

      Oh please. Bor-ing.

    • MilaXX

      whatever!

    • Kimbolina

      BIG SURPRISE.

I feel like I’ve wasted my time. Definitely feels like a planned moment.

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/6PQUNH7VYANAXMRMEEM763V3EU victor liu

EXACTLY. Am I not the only person who thought that?
        Anya 2.0 anyone?!

Next thing you know they’re all getting $500 and a trip to Mood.

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

LOL!  RIght?  I don’t even give a crap, just so long that Dmitry got through, it’s all good!

      • Kimbolina

Honestly, I feel like they were trying to save Melissa’s and Dimitry’s asses too.  It seemed like Fabio was the only one they really had a lot of good things to say about.  Melissa’s was just whatever and everything they said about Dimitry’s sounded so forced.

        • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

I do agree with you about Melissa’s – they really tore her up.  But they seemed to have a good response to Dmitry’s – they just didn’t like the styling or the way he put the seperates together.  But they used the term “Gorgeous” about his clothes a few times – the one who shocked me was Nina!  She had a really positive response, after calling him a one trick pony last week.

      • Linderella

I called it!  It was so obvious that Christopher lost, so I said to my partner, “They’re all going to show because the producers will NOT allow Christopher to go home.”

        • bitchybitchybitchy

For me the most entertaining moments were watching the judges trying desperately to find something redeeming about Christopher’s skanky mini-collection.

      • hoez

It seemed more like “Melissa disappointed us wildly but we NEED to have her in because an all-male finale on Lifetime is just NO.” Did no one else think this all season?

        • MoHub

I’m of the same frame of mind. It’s Lifetime; gotta have at least one double-X chromosome in the final mix. Also, a requisite hetero male, so the win may well be between Melissa and Dmitry.

    • Ezmartin

I want the last hour and a half of my life back. What a waste of time.

    • formerlyAnon

Sweet Jesus. I’ve been raising my blood pressure watching the v.p. debates. I hope this episode will have something pretty or fun to offer when I watch it tomorrow. My soul needs soothing.

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

they all did fabio a favor by showing all black and white.  and christopher:  don’t talk about your mother’s insides on the runway.

    • alula_auburn

There’s a mean part of me that thinks Christopher came up with that print because he wanted to give the impression of a traumatic backstory.  Like if I try to sell my Great American Novel about my mom’s carpal tunnel.

      • Stubenville

Personally I’m thrilled that it wasn’t photos of a colonoscopy.

        • Beth Gardner

      EVERYBODY gets a pony!!!!

Give me a freaking break. Based on the commentary that they played, Melissa should have gone home (who knows what they said that got edited out). Once again, thanks heaps Bunim Murray – you fucked it up and made the whole thing less interesting. But with the initials BM, we have grown to expect nothing but shit from you.

      • formerlyAnon

Hahaha! C’mon, GT, stop holding back!

    • SewingSiren

Is this the third time that Christopher had to bring a length of fabric out on the runway to help his design along?
Needless to say he is the one I thought should have gone home. 2 shorts and 3 sleeveless looks.

      • hoez

He was wearing it as a scarf somewhat like how Fabio had some of his fabric in his hat.

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

how do these designers consistently show up for fashion week and, when asked to choose three looks for the judges, they don’t choose their best looks.  or at least that’s what they claim.  could be “the dog ate my homework” or “my other look was a dior”.

      • Stubenville

Now I have this vision of Christopher standing on the runway saying “My dog ate my Dior” with an angelic look on his face.

        • bitchybitchybitchy

That’s a wonderful image- I can see that little judges’ pet standing there now, big Precious Moments eyes tearing up as he gulps and tells them his tale of woe.

          • khh1138

“big Precious Moments eyes tearing up”  – you nailed it – Christopher pushes my buttons just like those crappy creepy little statues.  I’m the kind of person who cries at those old Folger’s Christmas commercials when “Peter” comes home in his big cozy cream Fisherman’s sweater and everyone cries “Oh Peter!” because they’re so happy he’s home.  I’m not the least bit cynical.  But Christopher makes me want to puke.

            • bitchybitchybitchy

I knew there was something about Christopher’s face that bugged me, and it finally hit me tonight-Precious Moments.

        • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

God, I”m glad I haven’t had breakfast yet.  That image makes me want to hurl, because I could JUST see that!

      • SewingSiren

But when Mondo showed his bubble gown, the Judges held it against him when they were judging the finales. They had seen it “before”.

        • bitchybitchybitchy

Ah, you know that consistency is a dirty word in the judges’ lexicon.  They trot that out when they need to justify some WTF decision they’ve made.

      • DeTrop

As I mentioned in an  earlier post, they don’t seem very bright.  (They certainly did not understand avant garde).

      • rab01

I think they all had their looks picked out beforehand but had to vamp for the cameras because there was nothing to do until the models came.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_OQG2B3GDOIKSFYT6YDXFVOMEM4 A. Lure

Fabio’s is the only collection I truly liked (the finished product as displayed in the photos). It’s serene and ethereal yet gritty, deconstructed, and deliberately graceless. I respond to the artisan elements: the shading/dyeing and especially those geometric necklaces/neck embellishments (hand-crafted by him, I think). I like the grungy shoes, too.

Dmitry: I’d have no problem with his winning this whole thing. He’s displayed superior tailoring skills and professionalism. I do feel, however, that his collection is quite overworked. While I appreciate the architectural sensibility (infused with a certain fluidity), I think there’s too much disparity in some of the looks (such as the fringed jacket paired with that mesh top with all its triangular constituents). Contrast that look with his cutout dress. There’s harmony and balance in the latter and discord in the former.

Chris: Nope, not liking it at all. I thought the producers would get tired of his round-eyed “I’m BURSTING with empathy” shtick, but evidently they didn’t. I found his collection to be utterly amateur, derivative, and inconsistent. Oh, let’s not get started on that tit-torture device created by the piping in one of the looks.

Melissa: Nah, I didn’t like it when it was first posted, and I don’t like it now. It’s bland. It’s limited by her lack of technical skills. It’s as if while studying/working to be a designer, she made a checklist: I need to know how to execute a jacket, I need to know how to make a dress (why not a ruched, high-collared one with a clunky asymmetrical hem), and I need to know how to make elementary tops, elementary vests, and I’ll have to learn to make pants, too. I don’t think she’s ready yet.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1344922354 Eric Scheirer Stott

Dimitry should work for a store where he can design beautiful pieces and then have someone else pair them up and style them.

        • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

That’s actually a pretty good point, but he also needs to learn to do that for himself.  He could watch how *that* person does it.

      • CozyCat

Dimitry needs someone to visit his studio from time to time and say:  “No, Dmitry!  That’s a dance costume!”  when warrented.  Sometimes (eg, the fringe) he reverts back to his old career designing high end ballroom dance costumes.

    • altalinda

Dear Producers:  Normally, I’m a fan of the 90 minute format, but tonight was tedious; it felt like 60 minutes or more of designers saying, “I’m so worried.”  With material like that, you could have given us a lot more of Tim’s visits to the designer’s homes.  Sheesh.

      • Judy_S

This was EXACTLY what I thought. I was really disappointed with how quickly the visits were over.

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1344922354 Eric Scheirer Stott

There were no choice Uncomfortable Tim moments.

        • rab01

But, Tim spent very little time with each designer — according to the chyrons, he was in San Francisco the morning after seeing Dmitry — and each of their “homes” was boring.  Fabio and Dmitry weren’t even working in their own spaces so there was no possibility of Tim being shown turtle poo or jumping on a trampoline.

    • guest2visits

      None of the collections outshown the other – it even looked like they collaborated on the pieces they chose for the mini-RW;
      equally off, boring or problematic.
But geeeezz…. Tim.  Do you not particulary like Dimitry?  Twice you had the opportunity to set him straight about the oddness of
his pieces and the overworked elements; but instead you just made poopy-face. We all winced at home at the site of his well-made
pieces; they were half gorgeous, half stunningly bizarre. That was the time for helpful direction.  Fabio, Melissa, and Christopher
seemed to get much more detailed input. This may just be the result of editing – but geeeeezz Tim!
The information and the direction from the judges panel was very much on point for all the designers – imo.
I like what Fabio did with his shoes; it was one of the style elements I remembered from his RW as fun and working with the aesthetic.
Can’t believe Melissa slapped those wigs on; she must have thought she needed MORE of anything.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1344922354 Eric Scheirer Stott

To be fair to Tim what we’re seeing is all edited- and possibly scripted.

    • Pupioso

      I didn’t bother with tonight’s episode.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_PBGUD7Y6KYRNL7PCKYNPD2UGSM Carol

Here’s my Judging the Judges prognostication for next week:
Heidi – Okay, Ms. Titzalot. Put them away. Really, they aren’t what they used to be.Nina FTWJennifer Hudson, undoubtedly in Michael Kors – honey, nice try, but the whole product placement thing is getting old. And, excuse me, but why, exactly are you in the chair tonight? Why were you not there two weeks back and why is Zoe Saldana not sitting there tonight?I’ll check back after the finale to see how I did.

         Here’s mine:

        Hudson: Terrific! 4.5/5
(I doubt it is her fault for the product placement, but lips just might very well be.)

        Garcia: Slammin’! 5/5
        (How does she do it?)

Klum: See how much work goes into looking hot for you guys? 3/5
(What? You think this is high? Remember that the Wookie dress got an ample 2/5.)

    • NCDFan

Five weeks is 35 days or three and a half days per look. Tim visits 7-10 days before they are due in New York. They only get 3 hours to fit their models with their dresses. This is not a recipe for impeccable, Nina. I should have watched the debate.

      • e jerry powell

I think the invisible hand of the producers had something to do with that Nina-ism.

The time compression makes for high drama in general, but it makes for shitty clothes (as opposed to fashion) as well.

      • guest2visits

Yes, this!  And even though the judges gave good advice; how are the designers supposed to implement the new ideas to
a collection thats already made and currently being fitted to their models?  Did they bring bolts of extra fabric?
How is there time for anything other then some last minute styling changes or slight construction issues – do they perhaps
bring extra looks along to sub-in for designs that don’t really impress…?

      ON THE BRIGHT SIDE:
We get to see “-ology”s for four designers.

      • Stefanos Mantyla

My prognostication on that (which may very well be off since I do not have their work in front of me):

Chris: boring, dowdy, colour-adverse. Devoid of any creativity whatsoever. Has the producers to thank for making it this far.
Dmitry: did better than I remembered, looking at his track record. Unfortunately, he is trying to relive his highs by reapplying the techniques in the Final that got him his wins later in the competition, and to not so great effect. Had the judges not dissed his bubblegum dress by neglecting to vote it to the top, he might have chosen to include something like it in his Final collection, too. Taken on its own, though, his track record is pretty solid, more so than I remembered.
Fabio: made it this far purely on merits, considering he has not been getting judge-love throughout. He made it past former judges’ pet Ven, so that is something. I just wish he made more things I can actually remember.
Melissa: initially seeming colour-adverse, then adopting it. Never overworks anything, as far as I can remember.

        My prediction on Finalists’ rank:
        1st – Melissa; 2nd – Fabio; 3rd – Christopher; 4th – Dmitry. Let’s see just how off I am with this one.

      • e jerry powell

I’m not convinced that that’s an upside, unless we’re actually looking forward to being extra-bitchy about trite and bland design; in which case, carry on…

    • Susan Crawford

Here’s to Matilda and to all the joy she brought into your life.

    • Susan Crawford

Ah, Massapequa Park! Lots of memories of cousin-festivals in the summer and pizza from Musicaro’s and my Aunt Elinor lying on the chaise lounge holding a sun reflector up to her face. Happy days, happy days.

    • Susan Crawford

This was supposed to be a reply to baxterbaby . . . Disqus strikes again.

    • DCSheehan

I’m not invested in any of them winning either and I think it’s because of the blandness this season. None of them have made anything truly outstanding. I give it to Snape, based on his overall performance. His candy dress was probably the best thing I saw all season. I love Fabio so also don’t mind him winning. Actually i dont mind any of them. At least there isn’t an Anya or Gretchen this year.

I know, right? That dress was amazing — and the judges talked about it last week in raptures — when it didn’t even place in the top three. Which means the three that did should have been effing amazing.

Anyone remember the top three of the candy challenge? No? Stupid show.

    • Pinup Ghoul

OH GOD DMITRI. Why is he allowed to wear pants that fabulous?
There were other things happening in the episode? Says whom?

      • https://twitter.com/LisaF1163 Lisa

I know, I know… he’s pretty glorious!  I’m gonna be sad to see this season end!

    • fnarf

I vote for “none of the above”. None of the remaining contestants have a single interesting garment in their “collections”. In fact, none of the contestants in the entire season had any interesting garments. The whole thing is just tired and bland and boring.

      • e jerry powell

And the truly sad thing is that All-Stars 2 doesn’t look that promising either.  I’m amusing myself with trying to figure out who the Mondo is supposed to be for this second go-round. My guess is Uli, but Laura Kathleen may have more to prove after the decoy collection she put up in her season.

Oh, God!  Was that the dullest episode of PR ever???!!!  If not, it was sure close.

I was disappointed with each and every one of the final four designers.  Their collections make me feel depressed and dowdy.  Let’s hope two days of polish and restyling makes a difference.

      • janierainie

It was so dull even the contestants looked sleepy! Did you notice that?

    • dschubba

I’m glad I watched the debate live.

    • nannypoo

When you have to choose your 3 best pieces to impress the judges and you decide to send a couple pairs of shorts down the runway you should be going home. But no, you’ve made a fabric from your mom’s Xray, so you’re fabulous! Dmitry and Fabio clearly had the best pieces, especially Dmitry’s white dress, but my money is on Chris for the Big Surprise Win.

      • http://twitter.com/jen_canary Jennifer Ford

It’s the only explanation for the no-elimination thing. They were afraid their darling boy would be out so they kept everyone. I hate him with a fiery passion.

    • http://twitter.com/urban_gypsy Tess Danesi

I’m usually so excited about the home visits, this time I fell asleep right before the runway portion. Luckily, or not, I woke up around 2AM and found it was replaying in pretty much the same place I dropped off. And I still missed the elimination, if there was one.  What a boring ass runway.

      • unbornfawn

There wasn’t an elimination, so your time was well spent sleeping.

    • afabulous50

Hasn’t everyone been complaining about PR for easily the last 4-5 seasons?  Why are we here then?

EDIT: I still love the show, btw.

    • MoHub

I was at a theater rehearsal and recorded the show. I made it home in time to catch the last little bit in real time, then started watching the recording until I fell asleep from sheer boredom. Nothing impressed me particularly, although I’m now in Camp Fabio.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1344922354 Eric Scheirer Stott

I think the fact that Fabio is a sweetheart is carrying him a bit.

      • mhleta

He’s such a doll. His designs belong in J.Jill, but he’s a darling man.

    • mhleta

I love Melissa’s jackets, but was surprised as hell Michael didn’t call and audible on the crazy crotch on those pants. It looked like the model was supposed to have junk but someone forgot to put it there. I found Christopher’s fabric concept–his mother’s Xray– to be both too random and too personal. I liked the way the brown and black mixed, but I don’t see rushing out to Neiman’s to purchase a skirt featuring a middle-aged woman’s broken back. Would have been more interesting for an art project, but not fashion. Having said that, his gown is spectacular and he clearly could not stop fawning over it, so I can’t for the life of me figure out why he didn’t send it down the runway. That shorts outfit was such a nothing.I see the producers’ meddling hands in this, ’cause otherwise it doesn’t make sense. Heidi looked wonderful. About damn time.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=10910518 Erica Woods Tucker

This is so disappointing.  I feel nothing for any of them. I’ve always loved Fabio, but he does well when there are more creative people around them.  Melissa should have gone home with the Rockette’s challenge.  She’s definitely a Project Runway archetype…skinnny, somewhat talented, flighty….

    • http://twitter.com/danielleRwest Danielle West

It’s Monday, and I still haven’t watched the episode.  Agreed that I just don’t have a vested interest in who wins.  I’ll eventually watch, but feeling pretty indifferent.
