Stacy Keibler in Monique Lhuillier

Posted on October 22, 2012

Miss Stacy is unquestionably gorgeous in this slinky, dark Monique Lhuillier.

Stacy Keibler attends the 26th Anniversary Carousel of Hope Ball Presented by Mercedes-Benz in a Monique Lhuillier dress paired with Neil Lane jewelry and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Monique Lhuillier Fall 2012 Collection

Love the neckline, which really sets off her athletic frame nicely, while still keeping her looking tall and willowy.

So, yes. Gorgeous. Now let’s nitpick.

Do we love the hair? We’re asking. We think she’s got just the neck for a chignon, and from the sides and back it looks great, but from full on, it’s kind of giving her lighbulb-head, no? And are we wrong for thinking this honey color she’s sporting now makes her look… we don’t know. “Matronly” doesn’t seem like the right word, but more like a local newscaster or something. It’s pretty, but she really does look better as a lighter blonde – and we almost never say that.

I like the hair from the side/back too, but from the front it looks like a flat bob.  Not good.

I dress is amazing on her!  I love the color combo, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it in a formal look before.

    • eowyn_of_rohan

Maybe she’s wearing an “older” do in an attempt not to highlight the age difference between her and Dr. Doug Ross.  Either way, the gown is gorgeous.

      • onefifteen

        Haha. Love the ER reference!

    • Sobaika

She looks incredible – but I agree that the hair color is not the most absolute flattering. She should either get a lighter/darker hair shade or stop tanning.

      • RebeccaKW

Yes, I think my biggest problem with the hair color is that is almost an exact match to her skin tone.  Some contrast is needed.

        • 3boysful

The color on my monitor looks like the Lady Clairol “Ash Blonde” my mom used to use.  TLo is right–surprise?!–she needs to go blonder.

    • Anathema_Device

She is stunning in this dress. What a bod. I agree on the hairstyle: I think if it didn’t cover her ears quite so much, it would look better. I like the color of her hair, though. It looks very natural.

      • twocee

I think you nailed the problem – it covers the tops of her ears.

        • pattyw

Yes, I keep wanting to tuck the hair behind her ears.

    • quiltrx

      Fabulous dress.

I like the color of her hair, but not the style.  From the front it looks so ‘soccer mom’, which does NOT go with a hot gown like this.

    • fringebenefit

Exquisite. I have never said this about a George Clooney girlfriend but he is damned lucky to have her. Just love her personal style–including the hair.

      • raininmai

I also love the picture of them smiling at each other. It’s such a refreshing thing to see on the red carpet. The dress looks terrific on her and I think the color of her hair is fine; I just don’t like the style very much.

      • peacockprincess

Have you forgotten how she use to dress when they first started going out?  Mark my words, George has his stylist working on her.

    • Valdri8

Perhaps George has commanded that she look less fetal.

    • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

I’m not crazy about the hairdo or the colour. The dress is amazing but I really hope that’s not a pelvic bone or hip bone there and is a part of the dress.

      Also? Plus? George Clooney…*droooooooool*

    • leftcoastpickle

      Gorgeous dress and escort.

    • almondemy

it is the wrong chignon – they gave her a backcombed chignon, which is a terrible thing for pictures, though perhaps it looked nice in person.  The dress is stunning and seasonal without being on the nose.  Love the look.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

Ha! I had the same questions about the hair while looking at her. Is it b/c the hair isn’t pulled tight enough.  She does need a bit more lightness to her hair color as well.

    • ghopping

I feel like that’s a “Girl On Fire” dress.

    • Michael Owens

Suburban-hockey mom, -tennis player, and matronly all came to mind when I examined the hair. She’s undeniably beautiful and stunning, but she also looks a little generically pretty here. Reminds me of those party pictures in Town & Country of events in Houston, Dallas, or San Francisco. Maybe what I mean is she looks provincial?

      • mountainFashionista

Her hair makes her look like a middle-aged-but-hot Realtor from a mid-sized American city.

        • sweetestsith

I was thinking 30-something former pageant princess, but I like yours better….

    • ojosazules

I don’t like the colors of the dress, personally. But she is wearing it. Blonder is definitely better for her.

    • boredbyopen

I like the idea and shape of the dress, but I must confess that to me it looks like someone’s charred entrails.

    • MaryAtRealityTea

I totally agree with the hair! It’s Junior League. The color, the style – it’s not chic and fresh, it’s society matron in training.

    • In_Stitches

That hair needs to be pulled tighter and tucked behind her ears.  Right now with it pulled back over her ears loosely, it looks like she’s literally wearing a helmet.

    • alyce1213

I love the dress and disagree about the hair. I think the slightly darker color is better on her, more elegant and tasteful.  I’m starting to really like her, which means they’ll probably split up soon.

    • HomeOfficeGirl

It’s a WERQ for me – she looks amazing and once again actually draws attention from THE man! She has a better body for this dress than the model does!

    • veronkimo

Hair is really bad. I agree with you all that from the back it doesn’t look so bad, but from the front, it looks like a bad haircut. And yes, she looks better with the lighter blonde. it made her look more glamorous.

    • crash1212

Gorgeous. Glad she ditched the belt. I think the hair would’ve been more successful if the bangs had been made a bit more wispy/chunky instead of swept to the side all severe-like – or maybe the sides tucked behind her ears instead of over them? It is odd.

    • anne.landre

At first glance, I thought she had cut her hair – it looked odd enough to be distracting from that gorgeous dress.

    • lalagigi

Almost too much genetic perfection for one post.

      • HomeOfficeGirl

        Honestly!

    • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

once again, she has failed at her goal:  still no ring.   girl, when you gonna get the clue?

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/BJTY6KY7LOR7MDOD6QCZUC3VVI Donna Tabor

It’s very possible she doesn’t want one. I mean, look at his expression: he’s looking at her like rare husbands look at wives. Who’d want to mess THAT up?

      • formerlyAnon

Hahaha. You sound like my mom.

I dunno, though. She’s 33 & he’s 51 (and a verbal “confirmed batchelor”) Unless they want babies, in which case I’d advise the legal toeholds marriage provides, it might work better like this. Short of him dying & leaving a widow – so much less likely than a divorce – I wonder if what she’d be able to gain given the probable pre-nups would make up for trading boyfriend for husband.  He’s never shown any interest in settling down & I’d be surprised if he’s not enormously spoiled, even if just in a ton of small, unconscious ways.

        • pokokpuding

“enormously spoiled, even if just in a ton of small, unconscious ways.”

You have just succinctly explained my feelings of vague annoyance towards my new boyfriend.

          • formerlyAnon

And when they can’t see it, they can’t change it. Assuming they wanted to.

    • decormaven

Thank you for providing the Pretty of The Day. Gorgeous, well-fitted dress, thoughtfully-chosen accessories –including the man.

    • LLuL

Her body and face are so beautiful I had to scroll back up for the hair evaluation. Did not even recall what it looked like. And then I got totally distracted looking at the dress again. I have determined the hair doesn’t matter in this case.

    • Kayceed

Perhaps the turning of the seasons? I always go darker come fall. Hair shade, I mean. I like the style – it’s a bit retro society lady.

    • Le_Sigh

Lightbulb head bwahahaha – now I can’t unsee it.

    • B_C_J

The dress fits her PERFECTLY! However, I am not in love with the color palette. The red and black looks a bit severe.  The hairdo is fine but i agree that the color should be a tad lighter.

    • http://profiles.google.com/scaponigro Sarah Caponigro

      George Clooney is hot.

      • raininmai

         George Clooney is hot.

        This should be repeated.  :)

    • kolokOlchik

I completely agree with you.  It’s not the best color for her and the shape of the hairdo looks very strange and aging from the front. The dress is killa, though
I like how George is looking at her adoringly :)

    • GorgeousThings

I think she looks fabulous. Yeah, I don’t love the hair style, but the color looks fine, and I know from experience that keeping your hair blond-blond can really damage it.

Now. Here’s what needs to happen. Stacy needs to call up Juliane Hough and take her out to lunch where they have the following conversation…

S: Julie, honey, we need to talk.
J: Sure! About our super sexy boyfriends?

S: (indulgent smile) We’ll come back to that. Jules, you need to fire your gays
J: Gays? What are you talking about? I don’t have any gays.

S: (trying not to laugh) Okay, well, here’s the deal. We both are alumni of Dancing with the Stars, right? I came in third in Season 2, you won a couple of times.
      J: Yeah, isn’t that great?!

S:It is, sweetie. But here’s the thing. We both spent a lot of weeks with rhinestones plastered to every inch of skin, and spray tans that aren’t found anywhere outside of the Jersey Shore. So it’s only natural that we want to go in another direction. I get that. I even embrace it. But honey, you’re what, 25?
      J: 24

S: Right. 24. That’s such a great age. You can wear just about anything and get away with it. Twee as fuck? Not at your age. Want to get your Ke$ha on? You can do it like nobody else, and people will just smile and say, “oh, it’s okay, she’s young. She’s finding her personal style.”
J: I know, right?? I just LOVE wearing all these great designer clothes!

S: No. Stop. Jules, your mother dresses younger than you do, hon. And she’s dressing her age. Just stop. Go hit up Century 21, fly to Tokyo and get your Manga on; spend some time in London finding your groovy. But stop with the mother-of-the-bride dresses and the old-lady hair and makeup. Trust me. You do that, and you’ll see that men fall all over themselves for you and your hotness. I mean, look at me – I landed Clooney!
J: I know! That’s so cool! And I got Ryan Seacrest – he really likes me! He’s the manliest man I know, next to my co-star Tom Cruise! You and me and George and Ryan should all go on a double date!

      S: … Riiiiiiight.

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

I can’t find anything to criticize about her look here—or about the way Clooney is looking at her.  She may have toned down the hair color, but clearly not the heat.  She also looks better in the dress than the model does, which is a rarity.  Brava, Miss Stacy.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Julie-Chase/731391326 Julie Chase

She looks phenomenal. I can’t even nitpick about the hair, she’s so elegant in this.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/DNWEFT2SVBX5T3NPMROQCT4U2U jennyv

Yes! The hair is killing the look. And I agree, lighter blonde was so much prettier on her.

    • unbornfawn

The hair is a little sporty for this gown. Love the fit.

    • ecallaw1977

Spot-on assessment.  I also miss the belt, though.

    • Tatiana Luján

I think her hair should be even darker than it is in this pictures. That would bring up the beautiful color in her eyes and fade away her trophy wife look.

    • jw_ny

She looks pretty.  Her hair does look better from the side, but still she looks beautiful from the front too.  She could totally work a short cut.  I kind of agree that her hair color does seem a bit flat, but it doesn’t look bad by any means….probably close to her natural color. (?)  Maybe more highlights and low lights needed.  My little nitpick is that I kind of wish her brows were 1 shade darker.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=4501978 Martha Jackson Deutsch

George seems to like brunettes. Maybe she’s gradually going darker for him.

    • Trisha26

She looks lovely. I don’t mind the hair style & I think the color is great – she’s not trying to look younger or hipper.

    • AuntJentie

Completely agree on the lightbulb hair!

    • lehen

      eat a sandwich.

    • Rand Ortega

Schoolmarm immediately comes to mind when I look at the hair. A sleek ponytail would’ve rocked it. The dress is fantastic.

    • swissgirl

You can’t go wrong when you accessorize with George Clooney.

    • bitchybitchybitchy

There was someone in the photo besides George Clooney?
It’s a great dress, like the neckline.

    • kmk05

OMG *swoons* she’s just gorgeous. Not really a fan of the hairstyle, but that’s so minor, considering she is PERFECTION in this dress.

    • http://twitter.com/lenabena_ Elena

Matronly hairdo or not, this chick is so lucky. So beautiful and banging George Clooney to boot. And she gets to wear beautiful dresses like this. Sigh.

    • MilaXX

I think she looks great. I don’t mind the hair, but  I think I would have preferred it down and back.

    • mjude

i never pay attention to her but she really looks lovely.

    • http://www.lindamerrill.com Linda Merrill

Okay, the closeup of Stacy and George – I literally said “woof” when I got there. I think her hair is a great color because it’s natural looking. She already cuts a striking figure, even without her hot arm-candy-in-a-tux, the naturalness of her hair and her classic features tones down what couldn’t be an overwhelming “look”. She looks real – something very much lacking in Hollywood.

    • Candigirl1968

The hair up works given all that’s going on with the dress.  The hair color with the spray tan does give her a local newscaster look.  If she took one of the two items down a shade (my preference would be the tan, not the hair), she might look fresher.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2P2ANLRZ6YAVGONA36I2AQJYGI VicD

I love it, full stop.  Plus, her accessories are better – I’ll take Cloons over that unnecessary leather belt any day!

    • EEKstl

Her hair color is actually working for me, I think it’s the front of the ‘do that is making her look a bit matronly, hairily speaking. The gown and that killer bod are winners, tho. She looks really lovely and is pulling it off in spades.

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

I’m obviously obtuse, because I don’t see one damn thing wrong with this look.

    • Call me Bee

Love it from head to toe.  This is a WERQ!

    • PinkLemon

my first thought was ‘wow that hair is aging.’ so, agreed. but i think it’s more the style (from the front) than the color.

    • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

Oh god, anchor hair!  I couldn’t put my finger on it, but it’s really not right for her.  Especially with such a gorgeous gown.

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

what a beauty, and what a fabulous dress!  i like the chignon, but would prefer it a bit higher on the head.  and i love the honey color.  perhaps it makes her appear a bit more appropriate with george, age-wise.  but he still looks like her grandpa.

    • Wellworn

Respectfully disagree about the hair.  I love the color and style, a little softer and more flattering, although the more I stare at it, the more I see Carol Brady in the final season.

    • http://www.facebook.com/notadouche Jeffrey D Foldenauer

‘Matronly’ is the exact word I would use to describe her hair. It looks exactly like Allison Janny’s hair in American Beauty. It is an unfortunate updo for such an otherwise fabulous dress and fitting.

    • nannypoo

I like the new hair color and the dress is great on her. George looks like a still-hot old man. I wonder how he’d look if he were in a real relationship. Probably like a still-hot old man, but somehow more connected. Well, we all make our own choices and he has made his.

    • drdirection

all I see from the neck up is that gorgeous smile and those beautiful eyes

    • http://TheDoseofReality.com/ The Dose of Reality

Oh, see…I was just thinking how much I like this hair color more than the lighter. I think it’s much more flattering.

      • alyce1213

More sophisticated, less tacky bleached blonde, too.

    • pookiesmom

Yeah, not a huge fan of the hair and the makeup. It says “politician’s wife” to me. The hair color’s not doing her any favors, and the style is just not flattering.

    • librarygrrl64

Re: the hair, maybe some highlights/lowlights?

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

Not loving the hair. The first thought that came to mind was “politician’s wife,” (which is kinda apropos), but “news anchor” works too.

And I’m not a huge fan of this dress. I sort of wish she’d kept the belt.

    • http://twitter.com/MandySCG MandyJane

      She’s gorgeous.

    • formerlyAnon

      HOT DAMN.

Somebody keep her away from those modified racer-back swimsuit/built-in sports bra/yoga clothes dresses. Also the ones featuring high, high, slits in the chiffon/thin satin/icky (technical term) draperies.  THIS is how she should be dressing.

Face on, the hair is very anchor woman/bad wig. I think the style’s the problem not the color. She’s still young enough to get away with the color, barely. IMO.

    • Zippypie

The hairstyle makes her look like what she is – trophy girlfriend.

    • LesYeuxHiboux

The combo of the chignon and the darker blonde is giving her Kate Gosselin hair. No one wants Kate Gosselin anything.

    • Jackie4g

Let the girl give her roots a little rest. Anyway, it’s autumn. She can be light blonde in the spring. The dress is gorgeous.

      • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

Ooh I bet she’d make a smoking brunette too though.

    • understateddiva

she’s hitting it out of the park lately, full stop.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

Looove the dress. But I agree that she could probably pull off something a little edgier with her hair; nothing too out there, but something a little closer to the bombshell she is.
Also, I love how seasonal this dress is. It’s energizing me for fall.

    • margaret meyers

Yikes!  She’s schooling the runway model!

    • DeGuz

      Jaw-droppingly gorgeous, nuff said.

    • Qitkat

Georgous, oops, did I spell that wrong? ;p
Double lottery winner. Has she ever taken a bad photo?
      Beeyoutiful gown.

    • http://www.facebook.com/kanewatkins Kane Watkins

      MEAT WORMS!

That is such a lovely, well-cut black dress, and it’s just the silhouette for her. But is anyone else alarmed that she has a severe infestation of MEAT WORMS! Run, George Clooney, run for your life! Save yourself–you can’t save her, they’ve taken over!

      MEAT WORMS!

    • julesj

The dress is stunning. She looks great. I just have a problem with that this is all she has on her plate: look good for her guy with untold money and time at her disposal.

    • l_c_ann

I expect men were slipping her their phone numbers.  (Possibly a few women, too.)

She does make him look old and gray.

    • crackineggs

Wish that man would get out of the way so I can appreciate how awesome she looks ;)

    • guest2visits

Gorgeous dress on her, agree hair is pretty from back and sides, alittle square-ish in the front view.

    • http://twitter.com/Sugarbeetle Sugarbeetle

You know what I like about her hair? It’s her hair, there’s no extensions mucking it up. It’s fine and she’s owning it. Snaps.

    • RzYoung

It’s a righteously beautiful dress but the hair does frump it up a bit

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Louise-Bryan/1177213326 Louise Bryan

Tsk, tsk, so nit-picky.  Sure, she should probably go lighter, but I think she looks pretty fabulous.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/3DRRZR36XZSTQSLON4LXERKRHA Stephanie

From the front angle all it needs is the fan spray to look like how Kate Gosselin used to look.

    • mmc2315

This is a WERQ for me.
