    Of Kors!

  • no boob and no thigh?  what’s going on here?

    •  I thought the same thing! Where’s the cleavage and thigh with this dress?  It’s only an “of course” for me because of her posing…and I think I hate the shoes

    • Janet B

Don’t care for her makeup, but the rest is ok.

    • Kristin McNamara

I know, right? This is downright demure for her!

  • Sobaika

Do I have to be the one to say it? All right then:

Of course. Also the length is all wrong and she needs a new hair/makeup team stat.

    • MinkaL

I’m starting to get the sense some people are just reflexively throwing out “of course” in relation to her even when it’s undeserved….?

      • Sobaika

Feel free to disagree, but I think it’s pretty much deserved here.

        • VioletFem

How?  This dress does not have a ridiculously short hem, an excessive amount of cleavage,  an really high slit, or a really low back. It is downright demure, compared to what she usually wears. I am sure than in some not so distant date she will wear yet another outfit that will very much deserve the “of course”. This however is not the outfit.

          • patticake1601

The “of course” is getting tired.

      • HomeOfficeGirl

        Team Bitter Kittens.

      • ChiliP

Yeah, I have to agree with you. I always thought the “of course” reply was used when she wore something revealing too much leg and/or boob. In other words, trying too hard to be sexy. Neither of those conditions apply here, and this is an overall rather demure look.  I can’t imagine this would warrant any criticism other than that it is a tad boring if worn by another starlet. I understand why a lot of people are put off by her constant RC vamping, but as far as the clothes go, I think she looks very nice here.

        • SassieCassy

naww i took it to mean ‘how expected’ and this falls right in the lea michele playbook

          • ChiliP

Again though, what is expected, the vamping or the clothes? The vamping I get, but I’m not sure how a nondescript black dress can be describe as within anyone’s playbook. Especially Lea’s, who gets criticized for wearing revealing clothing from what I can tell. This dress shows neither leg nor boob, and isn’t overtly attention grabbing or sexy- what’s “of course” about it? I’m neutral on the subject of Ms. Michelle- I’m neither a fan nor an adversary- but I have to admit, I’ve started rolling my eyes a bit at the “of course” responses. I understand why people make them, but I don’t think they’re always justified. Just my $.02.

          • SassieCassy

her posing, that heavy and overhighlighted hair (it looks polyester sometimes omg) that makeup which i think a few other have pointed out, besides i think tight and spangled isnt exactly revolutionary for ms. michele.

          • ChiliP

Fair enough points. I agree about the hair, which is a shame, because she actually has really beautiful hair.

          • SassieCassy

she does! or at least she did during the first season of glee idk what she or her stylists are playing at

          • mountainFashionista

Most of the people featured on this blog aren’t “exactly revolutionary” in their style choices.

Ever since the “of course” thing started (which was hilarious the first few times), I’ve found myself using it as a yardstick for everyone, and it works a majority of the time.  It’s a punchline whose time has passed.

For the record: I’m also neutral on the likeability, etc. of Lea M.

          • SassieCassy

so sorry we havent passed your test

          • mountainFashionista

Jesus, I wasn’t talking about you.  I meant “the people featured on this blog,” as I said in the first sentence.

          • MinkaL

I don’t want to be confrontational, so please don’t take offense as that’s not how I mean it, but this is now frankly a bit ridiculous. Her posing? So Lea is now banned from ever doing an over the shoulder, or just standing sideways,
pose like every other starlet out there? Never mind that the majority of
her pictures are just her standing there smiling, and she’s still smiling in that side pic…. She’s not exactly
unique with the odious ombre hair trend, and inconsistent makeup is also
not a “tragedy” that befalls only her. And tight and spangled isn’t
revolutionary for anyone, not just Lea. And regardless, it is a simple black dress worn to a charity

At least it’s become clear to me that “of course” really is now simply a
reflexive, therefore meaningless, and essentially conditioned response from some.

Not to be confused with the genuine hilarity that is “of kors.” 🙂

          • mountainFashionista

“Of Kors” is genius, and deserves 100s of likes.

          • curiouserandcuriousest

I agree with you – it’s at the point now where I hardly bother to read the Bitter Kittens’ responses to posts about Lea. Mind you, glad I did this time, since I would otherwise have missed that genius ‘Of Kors’!

As for the outfit – the dress bores me. The one-shouldered thing seems dated. Her lipstick is an abomination and the fringe doesn’t suit her. But I for one am glad she has chosen a slightly more discreet look 🙂

    • SassieCassy

shes so tiny, couldnt she get the hem altered for her? and i know BKs have been railing against her hair forever, im afraid that will never change

      • ballerinawithagun

        I like the length.

        • SassieCassy

k but it doesn’t hit her where it hits the model and the length + t strap makes her look shorter so

          • joaniemouse

And looking short is bad evil evil bad?  I mean, she IS short.  Why not embrace that?

          • So what? it was necessary because she was performing that night, & sitting down to do so. The length of the dress (at her knees when sitting) ensured there was no danger of audience crotch shots while she sang.

  • GorgeousThings

    Of course.

  • VicksieDo

    I think that’s a really pretty look.

  • If it were 1994, this would look GREAT

  • NC_Meg

I think she looks great. Sexy but not that LOOKATMEI’MHOTRIGHT? kind of sexy she usually does.

  • Huh. For Lea Michelle, it’s almost demure. I’m not sure how she’s contorting her body like that without throwing out a disc, though.

Anyone know what the letter tattoos are about? She seems to have a P on her foot and an N on her shoulder.

    • The tattoo on her shoulder is two musical notes, and I think the one on her foot is a butterfly.

  • Patricia Gillett

    Needs jewelry.

  • Andrew Schroeder

    Bien sûr.

  • OMG. I like this. I feel faint.

  • That eye makeup is terrible.

  • No ‘of course’ from me. She’s actually covered! Alleluia!

Too bad she only assumed that dressing up the dress meant only wearing gaudy fake eyelashes. She could’ve done more with this look. The shoes are nice, though.

  • Miss_Led

The length is weird but for her, this is good.

  • SummerSquash

Lovely. The only picture where I said, “Of course,” was the over the shoulder pose.

  • lalahartma

    I hate her foot tattooes.

  • Scarlet39

It’s kind of an unremarkable dress.

  • Imasewsure

I like the disco eyelashes… they are kind of an accessory to this rather toned down look which I like (except for the strange posing). Don’t like the shoes much but this look is inoffensive and actually pretty. Shocker!?

  • Rhonda Shore

Prefer the model’s shoes but think she looks better than usual.

  • Quick, someone swat the spiders off her eyelids before they blind her!

  • OMG – she looks great!! (Why am I so shocked to have written that?) Not too tight, not too short, not too boobalicious. It could use an inch or two off the hem, but I’m afraid that telling her that would thrust this dress into gyno-skirt territory, so I’m fine with it as-is.

It’s a cute, sexy little dress, and the shoes are fine. She could have used some color somewhere, but I’m not going to complain about this one.

  • VeryClaire

If you’re just going to say “of course”, why bother posting pictures of her at all?

  • MilaXX

Finally a look that doesn’t make me scream “Of course!”

  • alyce1213

Exhibiting some restraint in an unremarkable dress.  The eye makeup bugs.

  • imperfectlaura

I don’t think this is deserving of an “Of Course.”  She’s covered up for her and her diva face is really toned toned down. The only thing that’s really irking me is that there isn’t any color in this look besides black.  I don’t love this look.  But I don’t hate it either.

    • l_c_ann

There is color in the look,  unfortunately it comes from her tats, and they look as if she ran through blue green mud and forgot to wash.

  • She isn’t orange. This constitutes a marked improvement.

  • Not bad. Hair is not too cocker spaniel. A little, but not too bad.

  • ccinnc

She looks great – love everything.

  • sk8tfan

I’m almost disappointed because I actually like the outfit. Drat the luck.

  • decormaven

Toe cleavage, but that might be the design of the shoe, rather than the architecture of the foot. Dress is standard, but at least there’s more dress than skin.

  • AlexisPayne

Not sure about the shoes but it’s nice to see her in something where most of her body is covered and the hem is at a very modest length. Of course it is skin tight…

  • j_anson

First thought: Oh, Lea Michele, see how nice you look when you just stand up straight and give a big smile?

Then I scrolled down and saw the legs. *sigh*

She does look pretty good, though. It’s sexy but not over the top, aside from the posing.

  • j_anson

Also, it just hit me how much she looks like she could be Sarah Palin’s daughter.

    • Snailstsichr

       I was thinking Marlo Thomas.
You can really tell what a wee little thing she is in this outfit. I never noticed that in more revealing outfits. I hope she gets a lot of positive feedback for this look; it is definitely a much better look for her.

      • homespunner

Time for a “That Girl, The Musical.”

  • TSkot

Sexy without being over the top.  Good girl.

  • Borderline TOO THIN.  This girl needs a steak. STAT.

  • It’s demure for her. I can’t stand her but the dress is awesome.

  • briecee

  • Jessica O’Connell

Other than the terrible hair, I actually like this. It shows off her curves without having to show us her upper thigh and sternum all at once. While it’s not far off of the beaten path for her, it’s a nice little mix-up from the typical gyno gown!

  • guest2visits

This is a simple, tasteful dress for Michelle and it looks good.  I really like her shoes too but not the collapsed way she’s standing
on her feet.  I’m guessing thats part of her standard pose.

  • quiltrx

She obviously toned down the T and A for this event, so I’ll give her a good mark for that.  But that eye makeup is scary…we’re talking nearly LIZA scary here!

  • Call me Bee

OK–I’m gonna duck after saying this, but I think she looks pretty good.  it’s a really nice dress–no boobs, no slit… her hair looks…well…the same as it always doesand I really dig the shoes.  All in all–a great effort.

  • I’m usually first on the ‘of course’ band wagon, but even I’ve got to admit she toned it down a bit here. Good for you, Lea – keep going in that direction.

  • She looks great!

  • plinkiedoodle

I honestly think she looks nice here…great dress, wholesome make up, hardly any fuck me poses…it all works for me.  And I am NOT a LM fan.

  • Tamara Hogan

    Nicely done.

  • In_Stitches

I can’t get over what she’s done to her hair.  She had SUCH beautiful hair…

Okay, I got over it.  Her dress is fine.  Actually, for the event, it’s pretty damn perfect.  It’s not a big red carpet affair, so it doesn’t call for a full on gown, but she is a celebrity so some sparkle made sense.  It’s not a pretty enough dress to stand on it’s own though; some earrings may have helped elevate the look a bit.  And her shoes?  They’re flat out ugly.  On a 1 to 10, she’s clocking in at a 6.

  • jw_ny

This is such an improvement over her usual slutty looks.  Simple, classic and pretty…with just a bit of sparkle.  It’s refreshing to look at a pic of her and not immediately say ‘wtf?’

  • NCDFan

Wow this is the least slutty I can remember her being.

  • tereliz

Wow. She’s got all her bases covered in this dress. For her, this is a winner.

  • alwaysanswerb

This actually doesn’t strike me as being too “of course.”

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

Well, perhaps you will boo me, but I like it all.  I like the shoes.  I love that dress.  I like her pretty smile.  I think she looks lovely and not slutty.  OK I will say that the last pose is sortof weird – like she’s stepping on her own toes, which I’m sure is some kind of metaphor, but I like it.  No ‘of course’ here.

  • julnyes

    Surprisingly demure for LM.

  • sarahmichelef

So, when I was a kid, I would make my Barbies look freaky by turning their waists and necks so that their feet and heads pointed one way and their boobs pointed the other.

Which is EXACTLY how Lea looks in the first picture.

Nice dress. I appreciate not feeling like I need to buy her a drink before I look at her picture.

  • Daniel Morris

    Of course.
