  • I’m not a scent freak by any stretch.  Gotta say though, Kirsten looks amazing in these promo shots.

    • Second photo (in the string of photos): you can see old Hollywood in her eyes.

      • Sobaika

She looks very Marlene Dietrich there. Or is it just me?

        • I was thinking Garbo, but either would be a flattering comparison.

Isana Leshchinskaya nails it, below: Harlow.

  • LLuL

Should have gotten Brad Pitt to do it.

  • Isana Leshchinskaya

beautiful campaign. she looks so much like jean harlow in pics 3 and 5. those sleepy eyes. never thought her a great beauty but she knows how to work that camera and it loves her.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

See, I find sleepy eyes annoying.  I really like the one where she is looking up and smiling.

      • famousamy

I agree. Her sleepy eyes are annoying and sometimes read as a bitchy eye-roll.

  • charlotte

From the thumbnail I thought she was Diane Kruger. Now that they’ve played the same queen, they should play sisters in a movie.

  • egl48

    Those eyes!

  • shirab

I don’t know, I’m finding her right eye in pic 3 a little creepy–it’s rolled up higher than the left and makes her look a bit unbalanced (physically and mentally).

    • charlotte

Yes, I think she looks consumptive or at least drugged in that one.

  • JillSpill

Why does she have lilies coming out of her armpit?

    I kid, these are beautiful.

  • Love it, mostly because it reminds me of her as Marie Antoinette.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

She looks lovely in most of these, but that first shot is totally wackadoo. “Finally! The perfume I’ve been waiting for my whole life! Thank God!”

I will be attempting to smell this as soon as possible, because I am scent obsessed and love jasmine.

    • Lori

That first pose is just weird. The rest of them are beautiful though.

  • Sobaika

    She cleans up reallllllll well.

  • kschwarting

She has a great, sophisticated look in these photos.  I agree with Isana–the third photo screams Jean Harlow.

  • I know not everyone is a rabid fan of hers but I think she is absolutely gorgeous.

  • SapphoPoet

These are beautiful (apart from #3, where her eyes look rather odd).

  • EEKstl

She really has that 1940’s Austrian Ice Princess thing DOWN!

  • decormaven

The scent must have a little opium in it, as she looks like she’s ready to recline in the den after a whiff.

  • MilaXX

My she has come a long way. It’s a very pretty look on her.

    • Funny. I was just thinking how very much she looks like Claudia in these, especially when she’s glaring at the camera.

  • She always has struck me as peculiarly bloodless, and these photos do nothing to change my opinion.  Hitchcock would have used her in one of his Ice Princess Blonde roles for sure.  I don’t “get” her appeal at all, and I don’t think she’s a particularly gifted actress either.  There, I’ve said it.

  • trisker

Why, when the perfume is named My Black Jasmine, is she making love to a bunch of calla lilies??  She looks absolutely lovely, though.

  • That’s some of the best face I’ve seen Kirsten give.

  • LauraWL

Have to admit I love the Bulgari campaigns. They have a certain aesthetic and stick to it. I think Ms. Dunst works really well into that aesthetic. Also, the makeup in these ads is always just lovely. Understated but beautiful.

  • alyce1213

The shots with sleepy, unfocused eyes make her lips thin and bitter-looking.  Don’t like it.

    • crash1212

       My exact thoughts!

  • stellamaris73

    Greta Garbo!

    • Judy_S

Yes, I think that’s closer than Harlow.

  • fishmermaidman

She looks great, totally a mashup of 1930s divas. It was confusing trying to parse what was lilies and what was shirt in the first image.
The scent itself is pretty crappy, btw. There was a funny review on Now Smell This:

  • I thought she was an incredibly beautiful child, and a really-not-that-spectacular young adult.  As she matures, though, she’s getting a much more interesting (and therefore beautiful) face.

  • HengRu

I only have eyes for that (presumably Bulgari) necklace she’s wearing. Adding it to my list for Santa. 🙂

  • Judy_J

This has a real ’50’s vibe about it.

  • Carla_Charlton

This was the first post I looked at this morning, skipping the others, because I think Kirsten Dunst is very underrated as an actress and as a beauty.  These photos don’t disappoint, as they play up her old-fashioned quality.

  • granddelusion

In the right hands, she looks awesome, as in the stills. The video is just stupid, and she looks vapid in it.

  • poggi

I really like the pictures where she is smiling.   It makes me want to try this perfume.  The one where the flowers are closing in on her seems less successful and involuntarily makes me brush imaginary irritants away from my face.

  • granddelusion

I see Dina Merrill here, especially in the last one. They’re way too classy for Harlow.

  • The older she gets, the better she looks.

  • tereliz

Love the sweetness, but even more than that, how lively and happy she looks. This is a woman I want to smell like, lol.

Kristen, take a look at Kirsten. THAT is how you model for a perfume ad.

  • snarkykitten

I got a sample of this perfume in my Birchbox…it’s really heavy. Made my head swim. But the ad is gorgeous!

  • She looks like a silent film actress, but not a particularly interesting one….

  • TieDye64

She looks pretty gorgeous in most of these, but that first shot is rather odd looking. Strange pose and her expression looks bizarre.

  • jmorino08

Bulgari, the fragrance of nap time.

  • PeaceBang

The first one looks manic, like she’s been holding the pose for so long she’s about to snap and start screaming. She’s best at the Bacall-esque “down under” gaze (and yes, I see Dietrich as well) — in those she’s amazing and luxe and all the things they want for their brand. The hair is spectacular.

  • afabulous50

OMG I have such a headache but I’m smiling anyway!!

  • Ninety thousand times better than the photoshoot that Brad Pitt did for Chanel. She looks great.

  • quiltrx

She looks very beautiful in a nice old-school glamour kind of way.

  • She’s another one on the “Worst tippers in Hollywood” list.  So you can put her in whatever you want Bulgari; she’s still white trash.

  • BrightsideSusan

Shes looks great but why are they selling jasmine perfume with her surrounded by lilies?

  • ccm800

sometimes her eyes tell the tale and sometime her eyes are dead as door nails.

  • I just got a weird, bargain priced “boudoir portrait” vibe from the sleepy eyed looks. Ick.

  • bluefish

Love her to death.  A truly unique looking young woman — She looks beautiful in these.

  • kevin foley

just don’t like it.  too busy–lines/flowers all over, dumpy clothes while she pushes a bottle of perfume in your face.  Her eyes are beautiful and I agree Garboesque, especially with the poppy lipstick– they should have showed more of her, less of the flowers–a simpler theme rather than so many design breaks in a one minute commercial— this is very non-Zen

  • guest2visits

Beautiful ad; she looks wonderful and the callas and lilies are very evocative; but they are not in the jasmine family. Jus say’in.
