  • Clueless_Jock

    Babe Paley snaps.

    • quiltrx

I have to thank you for my “learn something new on Google” moment of the day…don’t know how she’s avoided my gaze all this time!

  • mmgk

Well, it begins and ends with a bang.  Somewhat mixed in the middle though.

    • Sobaika

And yet, she’s still werqing that diaper skirt better than the model.

  • Insidiously

  • Trisha26

She poses well. The gowns are gorge. Hate the top w/pants and the red coat dress. The feather horns are an appropriate touch.

  • Laura

First photo shoot of her I’ve ever liked. Almost no fish-face!!

  • jocelyn arias

Are they shrinking her body but keeping her head the same size? The velvet dress shot is particularly disturbing in a serving up Hannah Höch realness way.

    • MRC210

Yes, so weird.  Her head looks unnaturally huge in the pose with the Dior top and pants too.

    • ballerinawithagun

      Hannah Hoch, perfect!

    • Beth G

You’re totally right.  Both of those look like there’s not enough body to keep the head up.

  • Rhonda Hanson

working hard to promote her new movie.

  • Judy_S

A fine actress. She looks great in all these period costumes.

  • victor liu

The white “help it’s eating me” dress is back and hungrier than ever.

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

she is more lovely than any of these models.

  • kimmeister

Hey, there’s that amazing red coat that Leelee Sobieski wore recently!

Keira is giving off major HBC crazyface in some of these shots.

    • littlemac8

Thanks, kimmeister, I couldn’t remember who I saw wearing that red coat dress!

  • Imasewsure

I really don’t like her much as an actress but I like her a lot as a model (to be fair I hated hated hated the Pirates series and I can’t stand any version of Little Women)… Love the red coat and feather-horns pose in particular. It surprised me and made me laugh… in a good way.

    • Cassie

I agree – I can’t stand her as an actress and still haven’t gotten over the fact that she will be bringing her pushing-out-the-jaw acting to goddamn Anna Karenina, which is my favorite book – but she’s a hell of a model, it can’t be denied.

      • ojosazules

The guy playing Count Vronsky looks very hot. It might be worth putting up with the jaw. And the clothes, of course.

    • Elizabeth Bauer

      Little Women?

      • Imasewsure

Yes it was something else I saw her in – was she in a version of Pride and Prejudice, maybe? I actually like that book but I am cold to her alas….Sorry for the misinformed complaint!!

        • kschwarting

Yes, she was in a version of “P&P” about five years ago playing one of my favorite characters of all time, Elizabeth Bennet.  Not that there’s another Elizabeth Bennet after the Jennifer Ehle/Colin Firth BBC version.

          • Laura

She was awful in that version of P&P. There is NOTHING but the Colin Firth version for me….

          • Dora K.

Aw, I absolutely fell in love with her in P&P. She was great. It helps that I’m not a huge fan of the BBC series.

          • TieDye64

See, I liked her in P&P as well.

          • MoHub

The best version of P&P was a BBC miniseries with Elizabeth Garvie as the perfect Lizzie and David Rintoul as a tall, dark, and imposing Darcy. Moray Watson was on the money as Mr. Bennett. In fact, all the casting was spot on. The only downside was that they eliminated Kitty without seeming to realize the importance of her relationship with Lydia.

          • Tanya Wade

I actually prefer the Keira/Matthew McFayden version of PnP over Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth – but I know all our mileages vary. But as for this photo shoot – I bought the issue for it. Love it, love the Grace C. styling. And I look forward to Anna K.

          • TieDye64

I’m with you, though it doesn’t seem to be a popular opinion here. I also like almost every one of editorial shots. Especially the b&w Armani Prive.

    • ojosazules

When I first saw her I thought she was Winona Ryder. She’s like Winona with a big jaw. It was Winona in Little Women.

      • CozyCat

She actually got her first big movie part as Padme’s double in the prequel star wars movies becaue she looked so much like Natile Portman.

    • LesYeuxHiboux

She’s rather over-the-top dreadful in Pirates but she was lovely in The Duchess.

      • DeborahJozayt

Yes, I loved The Duchess! (Not the orange one, but the movie!)

    • MilaXX

I like her in Love Actually, well to be honest, I loved everyone in Love Actually, and I liked her in Bend it Like Beckham. Not a fan of the Pirate movies and the only other thing I’ve seen her in was Domino, and she was horrible in that. However, she can wear couture like a pro.

      • Cassie

Love Actually is great – I liked her well enough in that, but all she really had to do was be the Pretty Dream Girl and be super telegenic, which she does like a pro.

      • AnaRoW

I must be the opposite of everyone else because it’s only the Pirates movies that I can stand her in. I suppose she was okay in Bend it Like Beckham and Atonement but I hated Beckham and was bored by Atonement.

I also think the above pictures are ridiculous especially the second one.  I don’t know if that’s really her fault though.

      • Snailstsichr

There was someone other than Johnny Depp in those movies???

      • TieDye64

I still love her in Bend It Like Beckham, though I’ll readily admit the Pirate movies weren’t great and Domino was gawd-awful.

    • luciaphile

I wish she’d give up acting and just model. I might be able to stand her then.

  • Catherine L Kronenwetter

This looks like a Photoshop montage to me.  Visually interesting but I find it kind of creepy like her head has been added to the pictures.

  • SewingSiren

I love veils. They are so flattering.

    • ballerinawithagun

Except for the Armani veil. That is downright depressing. Looked horrible on Kate Hudson in Bazaar also.

  • Jane Patterson

Someone has been studying her Dovima/Suzy Parker.

  • Kim Elmore

I would sell my soul to have somwhere to wear that first dress

    • PastryGoddess

Why not on a Starbucks run :)

    • quiltrx

      Me and you both!

  • marlie

These clothes were made for her. Gorgeous. My favorites are the white and the red. A few of the others could have been perfect with some tweaks.

  • quiltrx

I hate her with an unreasoning passion, and now I have to be jealous of her for wearing these beautiful clothes.  The rest is hard enough to take, but her in *my* Chanel (I should be looking like a swan, not her) reminds me what a lucky squinty-faced tart she is!

    • MRC210

I too hate her with an unreasoning passion and am trying to mentally photoshop someone else’s face onto the shots so that I can enjoy those stunning clothes without having to look at her duckface.

  • kingderella

this is pretty good. but the background is a little boring, and i dont love the colour story.

  • Donna Tabor

Wow, gorgeous. Although the hair is freaky, to me. But she can really pose, can’t she?

And her mouth is closed in more than half the photos. Shock.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

These looks have such a sense of whimsy to them that one doesn’t normally associate with Ms. Knightley, I actually giggled out loud when I saw the red Dior shot. She’s makin’ the Chanel work with that fierce face of hers. It’s a fun editorial all around, without sacrificing fashion cred or fierceness.

  • MilaXX

Girlfriend can work a camera! I like every shot of her better than the runway version.

  • Zippypie

Compared to Marion Cotilard’s Dior shoot, this is scary.  She is so skeletal and is jutting her head forward in almost all these photos in a way that makes her body look inhuman.  Apropo for Halloween, I suppose.

  • Kristin McNamara

She looks like she is with child in that fourth one. Even the pose is pregnant-lady-esque!

  • egl48

    She ought to consider eating.

  • Joyce VG

    MEH!  Just kidding. FIERCE!

  • lindsey

I see this, and I see that it’s called “haute couture” and I guess I’m just even more confused about Project Runway and its haute couture challenges and the objections to the stuff created. Because this doesn’t look that crazy?

    Am I crazy?

  • turtleemily

I love her. The stylist needed to stop with the veils, though.

  • Janet B

One of the few actresses who model well.

    • CozyCat

She’s a good model for an actress.  But this shoot could have been better with a truly great professional model.  Can you imagine what La Evangilista would have done with these clothes?

  • MinAgain

She looks fabulous in all of these, but I am in love with the blue gown.

  • Carla_Charlton

Is it me, or do the Keira faces almost look they’ve been stuck on?  However, the clothes are all gorgeous.

  • kategs

My lord can that woman wear clothes (not to mention sell them!).
I would kill for that red “New Look” dress…

  • Lilak

    1) She was made for big dramatic gowns — I think they’re the only styles her proportions and angularity can trust 100%.

    2) Re the Valentino: Those sapphire/lapis/ink tones are so gorgeous on just about everybody, I’m surprised you don’t see them worn more often.

  • Teri Brinson

Wow. Except for that headless one three pictures down. The rest are amazing.

  • Lauren Lynch Fox

    a girl can dream….

  • LLuL

    The first shot is STUNNING.

  • Ezmartin

    these are breathtaking

  • Onika K Morris-Alleyne

I want to see Melissa McCarthy wear that Valentino, with a slightly lower neckline.

  • guest2visits

The trailer for Anna Karinina looks fantastic. Can’t wait. The white swan dress is beautiful, and the Dior outfit is also perfect on
Keira.  I like the blue Valentino gown better on the model; the fabric looks more real and alive, less dark and ominous.

  • rjeujune

Frankly, I’ve had it with La Knightley’s modeling career. You can’t open a magazine or watch TV these days without seeing her prancing around in those faux-movie bits, hawking perfume or clothes. Granted, she’s not that good an actress and I’ve given up seeing any of her movies, but I wish they’d hire other spokeswomen (or men) and give my tired eyeballs a rest. No!!!! Tell me they didn’t pick her to play Anna Karenina! It’s a sacrilege. So who’s Vronsky? Gerald Butler, maybe? Sheesh!

  • Sarah Souffriau

Not a fan of every item, but the girl knows how to wear couture and give face, that’s for sure.

  • RzYoung

Yeh, she was born to wear all of that

  • korilian

Let’s see. 1)I can’t move in this dress. 2)I don’t know what I’m doing. 3)What happened to my face?!?! 4) Guy’s are we almost done? My back is starting to hurt from all this posing. 5) Just take the shot already.

I kind of like 4 to be honest.

  • decormaven

The sheen of the fabric on the Valentino is gorgeous. Her pose in the red Christian Dior is reminiscent of a ’50s shoot. May have to do a little digging to find a similar shot.

  • cleverlady

Knightley, Coddington, D’Ys and a bevy of beautiful outfits!  Who could ask for a more winning combination?
    Fabulous… all of them.

  • SapphoPoet

    LOVE that orange coat.

  • Judy_J

Very reminiscent of the early 1950’s Vogue editorials.  I love it all!

  • crash1212

This is perfection. That last Valentino is gasp-worthy. Lovely work all the way around.

  • nancylee61

I think Mario Testino is the most overrated photographer ever. Really – why are these pictures in Vogue? I could take them with my point and shoot. And I know photography, so I am not just talking out my ass.

Really don’t like the face veils, but love a lot of the clothes. And Keira is a great model!!

  • Ten Ten

That 4th photo of Keira is FAB!

  • piecesofconfetti

Love this little wisp of a thing.

  • RocknRollmom

I might seriously consider selling my first born for the red Dior or the Valentino gown.  I am sure she wouldn’t mind.  The Valentino gown is one of those “this is why there is haute couture and very wealthy skinny women who can wear them and I am ok with that as long as I get to look!”  Keira kills in this spread.

  • Louise Bryan

This woman is so beautiful.  Just a shade too short to be a super model, but she is photogenic to the extreme.  Even doing the lips parted pouty thing.

  • Allison Woods

Grace Coddington is the greatest stylist on the planet. The end.

  • hoshizora

If I ever have the good fortune to attend (and get a front-row seat!) a Christian Dior show, I don’t think I would wear my Nike running shoes.  And I don’t think I would have any problem staying awake either (8th photo down).

  • Michael Owens

Most beautiful woman in the world.
