IN or OUT: Emma Stone in Valentino

Posted on October 16, 2012

Miss Emma is betting her bottom dollar that tomorrow, there’ll be sun, but we’re not sure we’re sold on this look:

Emma Stone attends ELLE’s 19th Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration in Beverly Hills, California in a Valentino dress accessorized with a Valentino clutch, Neil Lane earrings, Irene Neuwirth rings, and Ferragamo pumps.

Valentino Resort 2013 Collection/Model: Elena Bartels

We don’t know, you guys. It’s not that this look is bad necessarily, just that it might be a bit too much. On the other hand, if there’s anyone who has the verve to make this Little Orphan Annie look work, it’s Emma. If someone like Elle Fanning wore it, we’d probably hate it on sight for being twee as fuck, but Emma’s got that knowing, smirk-in-her-smile quality that helps the look a bit.

Vote Now!

IN! It clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow, till there’s none!

OUT! It’s a hard knock life!

The Bitter Kittens surprised themselves by mostly admitting that Kate Bosworth’s Stella McCartney sequined bathtowel is not bad. But they still voted it OUT.

Hating this look from head to ankle – those shoes are perfect though. I need them!

    • buildmeatower

My reaction exactly. I barely recognized her, which makes it an automatic OUT for me.

  • VanessaDK

She’s got as many alters as Chloe Sevigny but without the perversion.

    • Right does this girl know who she is? She doesn’t seem to have a personal style yet.

  • famousamy

So close. I think it would be in if the sleeves didn’t bunch so much.

    As it is.. OUT.

    • JimMcC

See, the sleeves are my problem with it too, but I love the rest of it too much to be anything but IN.

  • Jangle57

I hardly recognized her as being Emma Stone.  That being said, the dress is still cotton candy sweet and makes my teeth hurt to look at it.  The shoes don’t help.  OUT

    • Watts

My first thought – “Wow, Melanie Griffith looks REFRESHED.”

      That’s not good, Emma.

      • pattyw

I made the Melanie Griffith connection too. Let’s hope that’s not the route Emma takes in 30 years.

      • Oh dear lord you’re right.  That means little Miss Stone is OUT.  Plus that hair, blech.

  • MoHub

Love the houndstooth shoes. The dress: not so much. The girls seem to be riding a little low as well.

  • I think she looks adorable, and normally I am immune to her charms. I should hate this dress, but I find myself liking it on her.

    Still find her annoying though.

  • VeryClaire

Cute right down to the shoes! The color is a bit bright, but ultimately it works.

  • Mary229

I think I might love this if it didn’t have the sleeves.  With the sleeves…it’s a bit much.   Also, I know Emma is a natural blond but I miss her red hair something fierce.  She’s lovely as usual though.

    • mountainFashionista

Wow — I wonder how she would look in this color as a redhead?

  • IAmJ

I almost didn’t recognize her. I LOVE this on her, and the shoes were an excellent choice. IN.

    • DarcSwan

I love this too!  I get Cher Horowitz vibe more than a little orphan Annie… Cher did love herself a sheer sleeve.  Totes in.

  • Alli Hance

As an Annie enthusiast – IN!!!

  • Michael Owens

She’s adorable, no matter how she’s wrapped.

  • EveEve

Out. Love it from the collar up and the knees down.  The dress is too literral and does nothing for her – especially at the bust and waist

  • Squarah

I actually like the dress, but I’d like it better on someone with a more sultry look to counteract the cutsie factor. I think I’d prefer it with hair down as well. I’d still give her an In though.

    • Kristin McNamara

I can’t with the hair. Those are some MAJOR booms!

  • afabulous50

OUT – and wtf is up with Valentino??  Between today & yesterday two horrid looks.

  • Sarah Casarella

I think the sleeves need to be a little more tailored but I love it! Great accessories and hair and makeup for Miss Stone

  • Oh my god shoes. I need them on my feet. Or around my neck. To somehow show them off.

    But out.

  • In. The shoes make it.

  • altalinda

Sorry, Annie, Daddie Warbucks forgot to write you into his will.  OUT.

  • nannypoo

I don’t like the color. Navy blue maybe.

    • 3boysful

That is a truly garish shade of pink, no?

    • holdstillnow

That color is NOT her friend.

      • curiouserandcuriousest

Yep, it’s what makes it an OUT for me. I shall take her shoes home with me when I visit to deliver the news.

  • chelwi

I’m going to say IN. I like her hair and makeup, and I LOVE the shoes. I’m not a huge fan of the dress, but she doesn’t look bad at all.

  • charlotte

Remember when Mayim Bialik covered up her arms at the Emmys and it looked too… forced? I think that’s what Emma looks like, too.

  • veronkimo

    IN! She looks awesome!

  • IMNAngryLiberal

In — I would like the dress better in almost any color, but I think we need to give props whenever possible to young (and not so young) actresses who don’t go out showing (everything) on the red carpet.

  • lalahartma

I’m not excited about it.  Not an In and not an out.  Love the shoes tho!

  • Joyce VG

naw it’s not a good look. For Easter maybe but not for a Hollywood event. The shoes are glorious but not the rest.  It’s too sweet. OUT.

  • Kristina Toma

I want to love this. Actually, when I crop off her head, I *do* love this. It’s the hair/makeup where it gets lost for me.

    Partial in? Partial out?

  • No one loves pink more than me, but laws, I just went into sugar shock. I agree with the other bitter kittens who want the houndstooth shoes, though. Now that’s my kind of sweet.

  • Love the shoes (even if they are too big). Hate the rest of it. Out.

  • cute as HECK

  • Adelaide Blair

IN!  I love the brightness and the nonmatchyness of the shoes/clutch.

  • Loving the shoes, hating everything else.

  • BazoDee

I love love love the shoes – perhaps enough to give it an in…..I think maybe I would love it in person. IN

  • mrslilypond

if it wasn’t so pink maybe it would work…and why the hell did she go from being a redhead to a blonde?  It annoys me to no end when redheads go blonde…I don’t have anything against blonde.  But I haven’t seen a blonde color that looks good with a redhead’s natural skin coloring

    • ecallaw1977

      She’s not pulling a Lindsay, she’s a natural blonde.

    • lbl

She’s a natural blonde. I also prefer her as a redhead though.

    • FashionShowAtLunch

      She’s actually a natural blonde.

However, I do like her better as a redhead.

    • hazydaydreams

      Actually, she’s a natural blonde.

  • thecitysleeps

I love this dress, especially paired with those shoes, and also the clutch.  I severely dislike the hair and am ambivalent about the make up.  But then I just want red head Emma back, and then the dress wouldn’t work at all.

  • IN IN IN. I absolutely love this. Those shoes are to DIE for, especially with that dress.

  • maggiemaybe

IN! I adore this look. She looks fantastic.

  • IN, and I say that as a woman who hates pink. LOVE the shoe pairing with this dress.

  • bitchybitchybitchy

Emma Stone has worn out her welcome in my household.

  • EditKitten

I love her, but I feel like she’s fading into generic-ness — I barely recognized her here. I like it when she’s being smiley and quirky and nerdy-gorgeous, and here, she looked like Rachel McAdams (nothing against her, either, but it’s not good when stars start looking alike) or any other young starlet. I’m disappointed.

  • lbl

The dress is definitely kind of twee (I wonder how it would look without the sleeves), but I think she pulls it off well. My problem is with the hair. The bangs with that dress cross the line straight into juvenile and then add the studs and it’s just too much.

Bless her for generally picking fun shoes with her dresses though. I love that about her red carpet style and this look is no exception.

  • formerlyAnon

I don’t mind the style of the dress at all, but there are some colors that (if dominant), look gimmicky in almost any setting. This is one.

Also, while the shoes are nice, the b&w houndstooth paired with pink is sending me back to bad club outfits for seeing post punk new wave pop (very pop) bands.

  • tonibaloney

I would like those shoes to walk into my closet ASAP.

  • jilly_d

IN!!  It was a scroll down LUV for me.  Just ok until I hit the surprise houndstooth.

  • AlinaValero

IN. love her hair like that and the shoes are perfect for this dress, even if i don’t like the dress all that much. also she’s making that color work.

  • IN!

  • kschwarting

Love the houndstooth shoes with this, and that shade of pink is great on her…but what is up with the sheer sleeves?

  • Isana Leshchinskaya

    pulling it off. IN.

  • Out. Sorry Em.

  • ojosazules

I would give this an in except she doesn’t look like herself. I like this, and she is pulling it off, but where is Miss Em? Out.

  • GorgeousThings

OUT. The shoes and bag are great, but the rest of it is too derivative of previous looks, and those previous looks should be locked in the 70s and the key should be destroyed.

And BTW, it doesn’t look any better on the model.

  • elemspbee

IN. I think this is working. Love that houndstooth shoes that cuts the pepto-bismol pink. I do think it could have used a thin black belt and something’s off structurally with the sleeves. But I like that she, or whoever dresses her, is always trying. Having said that and knowing this is about the present look, still an In.

  • Call me Bee

Looks like I’m in the minority, but I love this whole look.  On her.  On anyone else it would be way too twee, but Emma looks adorable.  IN!

  • AlexisPayne

I kind of love this and she’s got the look to pull it out of twee town. In.

  • I don’t know, my gut reaction was “Hey, re-write Annie as an adult and instead of orphan make her a secretary with questionable moral judgment.” But I don’t know anything about fashion.

  • momogus

It’s a little twee, but I also think she looks great and perfectly accessorized. IN.

  • Pants_are_a_must

It’d probably be a lot better without the Orphan Annie collar and cuffs. OUT.

  • I love love love this look. The shoes were the perfect choice. IN!

  • mozzer0906

out, hate it.  Hate it all. Color, style, fit, hair, makeup, everything.

  • alyce1213

I scrolled past the pink dress (I do not like), right down to the houndstooth shoes which deserve an IN  all by themselves.
I want them so bad but damn, they’re $950.

  • Bozhi

In.  I love the dress, clutch and really really love the shoes.  I found them at Nordstom.  They are $950.  That breaks my heart.  I want them.

  • IN!

  • call_me_schmeg

i hate not to support one of my fellow Pale Ladies, but this is just too much… pink? OUT.

  • NCDFan

In. I love the pink. The skirt is long enough to keep it out of baby doll territory. Love those shoes too.

  • MilaXX

I’mma give this an out. It’s somehow both twee and a bit aging. It’s looks like something  1970’s starlet would have worn to go talk with Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show

    • HomeOfficeGirl

      You’re right!!

    • Kayceed

Yes, and as much I love me some 1970s starlets, this is a big ole out.

    • Yes! Thank you for verbalizing the inchoate mess in my head. I get an immediate ‘mutton dressed as lamb’ reaction from that dress, which I loathe. (And Emma Stone isn’t old enough to be mutton, so it has to be the dress.) Overall, out. The shoes are larceny-worthy, however.

  • IN! The shoes make it all work, love them!!

  • Super IN. This is so witty. Love the shoes paired with the pink. Sleeves are a dite long but I don’t care.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

J’adore the shoes and bag…but I fervently wish that the collars and cuff didn’t exist. I am not crazy about the hair and not convinced that this is her shade of pink. Something a little darker, more berry than bubblegum, would look nice (though she’d really look like Annie in a darker pink).  As much as I hate to say it this is just barely an OUT, Emma darling.

  • librarygrrl64

OUT!!! That color, especially on that style of dress, makes me want to gouge my eyes out. Little Orphan Annie Barbie. Bleh.

  • In. Works for me

  • leftcoastpickle

Out, ugly dress fabric and colour.
Incidentally, I think Emma Stone looks like Rachel McAdams in this photo. Both lovely women.

    • HomeOfficeGirl

Yes, maybe that’s it.  She doesn’t look much like Emma, that’s for sure.

  • I’m in the minority here, but I give this an In. I like that it’s different and that she had fun with the accessories.

  • Cathy S

I love the shoes, but the rest of it is out.

  • Imasewsure

The shoes put it over in to the IN category for me. Pushing the edges a bit but serving up Haute Couture Petulia Clark and I like it!

  • JanieS

The dress is awful; the hair is unfortunate. I’d probably like the shoes in a different context, but still. OUT.

  • Gener1c

The sleeves in and of themselves make this an OUT.

  • TieDye64

Pairing those fantastic shoes with this dress almost makes it work for me. I’ll give her a minor IN, since the accessories keep this from going too twee,  but I’m not loving the dress. I WANT the shoes!

  • kolokOlchik

I think it’s sassy enough to take it away from twee.  I wish she’d kept the belt.

  • Beardslee

Out.  Love the shoes but the dress is twee and most of all, she doesn’t look like herself.  The personality has been styled right out of her.

  • Yikes. Love the shoes, hate that dress and indecisive hair (is it up, is it down?)!! OUT

  • Nope. Just plain, nope.

  • In. The shoes save the look.

  • piecesofconfetti

Love the color, and those shoes. For me, it’s an IN, but barely

  • I’d love it if it were a different color—I hate that shade of pink!! The shoes are beautiful.

  • Drop the sleeves, and maaaaaybe. As is? OUT.

  • phrenk

I don’t know why this is working for me, because it shouldn’t.  I think it’s the color, which I am finding really pretty on her.  IN.

  • LLuL

    IN. Makes me smile.

  • butter nut

i want to hate it.  i really do.  but each piece is freaking adorable.  and put all together it’s even more adorable.  but i have to give this a pre-halloween costume-y pass.  it’s ridiculous, but not annoying. IN.

  • fashionzombie

    IN. LOVE IT.

  • Mary McClelland

I was all sorts of prepared to hate this, but then I was like awww…cute! It’s a little twee but the color and the shoes make it edgy cute. So IN, Emma Stone.

  • IN! I feel like I should hate it, but I can’t. She looks great and pulls it off completely. LOVE the shoes with the dress. (I still can’t wait for her to be a redhead again. I don’t think the blond suits her as well in general.)

  • in

  • wow those shoes are fab!
the look is a little costumy, but what the hell, IN.

  • Out. Out. Out.

  • twocee

She looks like she’s been coated in Pepto Bismol.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

A reluctant In.  I would have preferred the dress in a hounds tooth pattern and pink shoes.

  • Judy_J

    Made me smile.  IN.

  • Orange Girl

That outfit is wearing her.  It’s just not Emma.  I think Alexa Chung could pull it off.

  • JoDo11

I’m voting in – I think the sleeves actually add interest.  Not loving the hair.  But in.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

Great.  Now I have “Downtown” playing in my head.

  • Alyssa Stanfield

In, but only on Emma Stone! I love the shoes!

  • Tatiana Luján

In, but the hair looks old fashioned.

  • lalagigi

In, but that’s my Barbie’s dress from 1971. Give it back.

  • Out! Too much. Needed jbf hair.

  • Synnamin

Weirdly, I’m giving this an in. It’s silly and fun.

  • Lisa Kramp

That’s way too much pink. Out.

  • MzzPants

In.  Sometimes a girl’s just got to be…well…girly.  I’d have kept the belt.

  • In!

  • Kate4queen

Out too much pink and I love pink.

  • someone got paid to do her hair like that?  the bump on top would have sent me back to the mirror to start again.  the little white collar and cuffs are saying “please, daddy” and all that hot pink chiffon is making me a little nauseous.  OUT.  i’ll take the shoes, though.

  • ChelseaNH

It’s the opposite of a scroll-down fug:  I hated it until I got to the shoes.  Which are fabulous, but not quite enough to compensate for the dress.  Also, the hair and makeup are making her look like Rachel McAdams, which is freaking me out.

So OUT, in the end, because she failed to pull off something very difficult, which should probably not have even been attempted, but kudos for ambition.

  • In because of the shoes.  Love them!

  • mmc2315

Narrowly OUT.  The fit on the bodice is doing nothing for her girls.  Needs the belt so she has a waist.  Yes, it’s a whole lot of pink. The hair is good up, but maybe without those long pieces hanging down on each side.

  • amf0001

I’m not sure if it’s the lighting,  but hte model looks like she has a sheerer panel, at the collar.  It feels less heavy and shiny than Emma’s version (but again,  it might just be the way the light is hitting the fabric) I perfer it a touch less shiny.

  • LuluBI

Out.  I like almost everything Emma Stone wears, but this is a bit too much.  Plus the hair and makeup are a little Angie Dickinson to me

  • Dhammadina

In.Out. In. Out.  The shoes transport her to a magical checkerland. But then I look up at the dress again. Out.

  • SewingSiren

Early 70’s realness. She looks like an Angie doll , who was way cooler than Dawn. IN.

    • lalagigi

Uhh, what? Dawn totally ruled in 4th grade. I had many….

  • Violina23

Out. That’s not her shade of pink, and the bad eyeshadow killed it.

  • Janet B

Love her shoes so very much.  I don’t like the sheer pink sleeves.

  • IN! I love it. Love. Love. She’s a first grade teacher from a bygone era. Good morning, Miss Molly.

  • Anna Tree

Pink is not her color. OUT

  • RocknRollmom

I personally wouldn’t be caught dead in the dress, would kill for the shoes.  I think she looks great.  It is fun.  We need fun.  So that is an IN. Though I could easily see an “out” on just about anyone else. And yes belt would help and the hair is in need of a little help.

  • bryterlayter786

So I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I LOVE this.

  • IN – she’s adorable

  • I don’t want to like it. But I do.

  • OUT with the Pepto Bismol dress.  The shoes are great though.

  • p_capet

  • L.

    IN. Its just fun.

  • Dot

I freaking ADORE this. IN. She looks darling and is killing this look. Love the shoes paired with this.

  • jw_ny

In another color I’d be more receptive to this look, but as is, It’s nauseating. (pepto bismol always made me feel sicker after taking it…)

  • Larkin21

I love the shoes but that dress is way too much. Don’t like the style or the color. OUT.

  • SapphoPoet

In, but only because of those shoes.

  • kimmeister

IN, unreservedly.  I adore this look.  The only thing I’d change would be to add a little black belt.

  • IN. This dress is rockin’ and those shoes are too.

  • Snailstsichr

OUT. My immediate reaction was “Patsy stone, the early years.”

  • The shoes are too graphic for that awful chiffon nonsense.  If you tore the sleeves and collar off and added a black belt I’d be on board, but as it is she looks like she needs medication.

  • Noelle Haland

I love this look – the dress is great (I especially love the sleeves), and the shoes are killa. IN.

  • tereliz

Love the shoes! The dress has too many little problems.. too shiny, too bulky, too pink, too sheer, too wrinkly…

  • B_C_J

The bodice is  not fitting well.  Moreover the sleeves should either have been more voluminous to add softness or as fitted as gloves. As is they give her a lumpy look.

  • I like it only because I remember my Mother wearing it in black in the mid 80’s (by Albert Nippon I think), and it made me think of her, so I will give her an “In” for the memory.

  • If it was black instead of neon pink I might like it. MIGHT. Out.

  • In.  Although I wish her hair was a little more severe like the models to give the look a little more edge.

  • tired_mommy

    Out. Barbie secretarial pool.

  • I would totally love it if the sleeves were a couple of inches shorter

  • Srw27

IN to the shoes (love!) but OUT to the pink Lil Orphan Annie Fanny look.

  • PrunellaV

Very sweet, but I think she can pull it off. IN.

  • In, I love the shoes, and she can get away with the style and color.

  • nancy

Just the shoes, please. I’m needing some pepto bismol to help me deal with that color.

  • butterflysunita

OUT.  Another ugly Valentino dress–what’s going on?

  • This looks like something Iola would have worn on “Mama’s Family”. Iola always wore pink.

  • Monabel

    Dress is fake as hell.

  • Trisha26

IN/OUT Take off the sleeves & it’s an IN!

  • I read this as a Goldie Hawn impression.

  • Aly Light

Remember how you were saying that Kirsten Dunst can wear pink without looking like Barbie? Emma Stone can’t. OUT.

  • Can do no wrong in my eyes.

  • Jennifer Coleman

The sleeves make her arms look freakishly long.
I like all the pieces here, but they don’t add up to a stellar look. I give it an IN, but without enthusiasm.

  • OUT

  • aykayay

    Fucking adorable. The end.

  • mountainFashionista

  • DinahR

    IN  it’s a look.  And it’s a good one.

  • I like it. I’m guessing cause the shoe choice was perfect.

  • crash1212

IN. She looks fab in pink and while this is a LOT of pink and I abhor sheer sleeves, I think she’s working this look. Also, love the shoes for a little edge. Hair and make-up are perfect for this look. Well done!

  • MissAmynae

out. What Chrissy from “Three’s Company” would wear to a formal party. Me no likey-  even though the shoes are cute.

  • Vickiefantastico

Oh Heavens, no! The color is terrible (I’m sorry, I will never sign off on neon pink – neon never needs to return), the fit is way off, and the collar is both childish and ancient. Like her just fine, but I hate this. Obvious out for me!

  • rissa42210

Hate this!  Out.  It’s not a bad dress on the model because it looks a little ironic, but something about Emma increases the sugar content of this look to unbearable levels.  Also, what’s wrong with this girl and her feet?  She NEVER wears the right size shoes – they are always too big.  Grrl, if I can see into the insides of your shoes when you are standing in them, it’s time to size down.

  • HATE. And what’s with the shoes? I like the high collar though.

  • Haley Buchanan

I love the in-your-face pinkness of the dress.  And the shoes are KILLER.  Gonna have to give it an IN.

  • LC

    love it! definitely in.

  • not as a blonde…

  • It’s pretty close to working, but that this dress could never, ever work on a blonde. If she were still redhead…that would also be tricky. But I feel like I’d give this a full IN only on some brunette with even better cheekbones than Miss Stone here. So OUT

  • kaycem

it’s too much and i love it.  IN.

  • FashionShowAtLunch

I think she’s pulling it off.  Sure, it’s not my favorite dress of all time, but it’s a cute look.

  • IN. I was prepared to hate it, until I saw her shoes. This is the perfect dress for those shoes, and the shoes themselves a rocking.

  • VicksieDo

I think it’s cute as cute can be.  If you can’t wear that color when you’re young, famous and rich as she is, when could you?  And I WANT those shoes.

  • LeifBallard

LOVE her shoes! I think the look would work WAY better if the dress was a different color…Not feeling the bubble gum/pepto bismo color haha

  • TSkot

    She looks great: IN

  • The bodice is way too tight and the sleeves are too long

  • Don’t like the hair, or the dress, really, but she’s pulling it off so much better than is logical that I have to give her an IN.

And ohmigod do I lust for those shoes.

  • Out.  OMG are we 12?

  • Kathleen B

IN! definitely in. She looks fab.

  • Judy_S

IN. She’s a pop of color. But I like it. The shoes help.

  • Gabbi Trimmings

Cut off the sleeves and I’d probably love it but they just look a bit frumpy as they are
    adore the shoes though

  • Karen Dickerson

I actually adore this!! Oh my GAWD I need those shoes.

  • DominoEstella

    IN!  I love it.

  • guest2visits

She’s pretty enough that this dress almost works. I like the color; but the cuffs and collar are irritating.

  • ThaliaMenninger

I hate it. And I hate her as a blonde.

  • Tracy_Flick

Something in this is aging her tremendously. Hair and makeup, maybe? The dress itself I like, but in this case it’s contributing to the middle-aged-waitress vibe.

  • lucasuk82

In, I guess.  The color is flattering, the cut is classic, and yet I can’t say I really like it.  I’m giving it an in because I love the shoes and flattering isn’t always something she achieves.  I think she needs to embrace that she’s not traditionally pretty and go for striking.  She’s gorgeous, but this Barbie type look doesn’t seem to fit her style of beauty.

  • Cute, and I like the choice of shoes. IN

  • LambeeBaby

  • Cousin_Rose

It’s a bit too neon for me but Emma is so lovely that she can sell almost any look. Love the shoes.

  • AnneElliot

Too damn twee for anyone over the age of 13, unless you are Michelle Williams.  That’s all.

  • Patricia Gillett

IN. I could not wear this dress but she looks cute. I could wear the shoes, though. I’ll take ’em.

  • IN. Perhaps barely but IN all the same. Cause she’s Emma freakin’ Stone and she’s just trying to keep herself entertained.

  • No. And taking off the belt just made it more TOOO MOORRROOOOW-y.

  • IN. adorable.

  • mayavaly

A definite IN for me. I think she looks amazing.  Two minor quibbles: her lipstick just doesn’t seem right, and I think the dress is a little too shiny. In the model pic, it looks matte; in reality the luminescence of the fabric is nudging things into gypsy wedding territory. Emma’s cred is mercifully saved by a funky-ass pair of shoes though.

  • margaret meyers

I think this has crossed the line from clothing to costume.  Shouldn’t she have 14 chorus boys toting her around the stage while she’s singing something from Promises, Promises?

  • bailey debruynkops

the shoes are whatever but the dress is OUTSTANDING. love that she wears the luminescent colors. INNNNNN

  • quiltrx

    Out.  Twee as fuck.

But I would cut every bitch I have EVER known for those shoes!!!!

  • Melissa Brogan

It would almost work except I really hate that shade of neon pink with her complexion. Out, barely.

  • lesmaha

I love those shoes!!  Can it be an IN on shoes alone??

  • Lilak

This probably looks better in three-dimensional real life, with a real girl moving around in it.
In this case, it’s actually  the hair that’s driving me mad.

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

Can I just have the shoes?

  • crackineggs

  • aristida_girl

IN, only for her…I don’t think this work would work on anyone else, but on her, it’s good…

  • lrhoff

She looks wonderful — love it!  She’s the person to pull it off, too.  Nicely done.

  • I have to vote IN on this one……just too cute and different not to.  LOVE the shoes.

  • demidaemon

I love the shoes. However, it IS twee as fuck. OUT.

  • Mariam Nael

it’s “cute” and it works on emma and it works for her (looks much better on her than the model). not bad, but she can do better

  • RzYoung

It’s a ‘just about IN’ from me

  • Its WAY too pink. Eye searingly pink especially under that light. But I love the shoes. Have to say OUT though cause that is one epicly pink dress that I can’t say that she’s pulling off

  • mbelchic

Maybe at the Easter country club brunch in Atlanta??

  • lehen

Oh- I think she looks cute and fun.  No one else could make this work, but I’m liking it on Emma.  IN

  • Verascity

LOVE LOVE LOVE those shoes. They take the whole look to IN for me.

  • sweetlilvoice

Like! The pink is adorable and so are the shoes. No matchy matchy.

  • No nononono. She looks like a jar of pepto. Also, I’m pretty sure my roommate bought this exact dress from an antique shop like 5 years ago. She ripped it up for a Halloween zombie costume. Which was a much better use for it.

  • No. The sleeves are too much and she’s just. Not. Selling it.

  • neofashionista

  • I actually think this is quite cute.  *shameface*  In.

  • granddelusion

  • nancylee61

Love the shoes, hate everything else. Maybe if the dress was in a different color, like dark blue or green, I would like it more?

  • Elleachaudaucul

    In! She’s selling it.

  • i feel like i SHOULD like it, but i hate it on her. i don’t know who could make this work look, but it’s not emma. and i didn’t even recognize her, either.

  • stagmania

IN. I love this whole look.

  • I’m not sold on the sleeves, but the hounds-tooth shoes were genius. In.

  • oohsparkley!

In. I like it with the shoes.

  • Toto Maya

It’s bad. No one over age 16 should even try to wear that.

  • Carol Que

I love the shoes. That is all. OUT.

  • OUT.  Either the silhouette or the bubble gum pink, but not both.  Respect for trying, though!

  • trisker

I Love this whole look!  Great shoe and hairdo choices.

  • Sort of looks like a film costume, for the brady bunch.

    • Candigirl1968

      ITA.  OUT.

  • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

Love the color on her.  Hair and makeup look great.  The dress is twee, but she’s pulling it off.  ADORE the shoes!  IN.

  • Kristy Evans

I LOVE. Her hair looks fantastic, the dress is twee, but perfect for miss sassy pants, and those shoes are KILLA. Love love love. IN.

  • PeaceBang

Love her at all times, plus that lyric about the cobwebs and the sorrow cracked me right up. IN! IN!

  • I’m reading you guys and watching Fashion Police at the same time, Kelly Osbourne votes it a big fat IN
