she funny looking! did she have a rib removed? what’s going on there?

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/BJTY6KY7LOR7MDOD6QCZUC3VVI Donna Tabor

A very tightly laced corset, I’d bet.

        • http://twitter.com/purpleprose78 purpleprose78

That is exactly what I was thinking.

      • Joseph Lamour

she looks a little bit like she’s playing the part of a “wild italian woman” who will throw a wine glass at your face in anger but then make sweet sweet love to you.

      • http://twitter.com/YrAmericanGurl YrAmericanGurl

When you wear corsets, the two lowest ribs (that don’t protect anything) are pressed in more, so you have a more hour-glass figure. No rib surgery required or necessary.

        • http://twitter.com/OhFaerieNuff Laurie S. Neilsen

Exactly. Keep in mind that back in the day when people wore corsets, there was no such thing as anesthesia. So surgery was not only incredibly painful; it was also fatal nearly half the time. No one would have ribs removed under such conditions just to look prettier.

          • MoHub

Actually anesthesia was developed in the 1840s, and there were indeed Victorian women who had ribs removed to allow them to lace more tightly.

            • In_Stitches

Well that’s the most horrifying thing I’ve learned today.

            • siena Mystic

Nopers, that’s a fable, and one my old costumes curator had to rebut again and again. Here’s the Snopes take on it: http://www.snopes.com/horrors/vanities/ribs.asp

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/YJIH5O5GD2CXTBYKYYU2H6SWMM rainy d

guys where are RPDR all star reviews? thanks

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Her eyeshadow is almost bizarre enough to distract from the brutality to boobs that is taking place. I love this Vivienne Westwood silhouette, but this is too tight in the bodice and too old-West-Brothel in the back for me. Nice earrings and very nice arm candy though.

      • Jacqueline Wessel

Yes, crooked boobies and cockeyed eyeshadow…beautiful color on the dress though. Love his tux and shiny new shoes and beautiful blue eyes.

      • Jill_3

         Her eyeshadow makes children cry.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1314255041 Irina Ryabchuk

The blue “highlights” in the inner corners of her eyes are neither on trend nor flattering, weird decision from her make-up artist.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Lucía-Gavello/1253586868 Lucía Gavello

Jem and the Holograms go West!

    • choco

HER: blechh. its just all waves and wrinkles. I think the texture of the dress would have worked if her her hair were sleek. Right now I’m just reminded of bride of Frankenstein meets Western strumpet. But DAYUM she has a small waist! O_O

      • kimmeister

It’s not really that her waist is *that* small, it’s also that she has fairly broad shoulders too.  I have a similar shoulder/waist ratio and it’s a bear to get jackets to fit right!

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Louise-Bryan/1177213326 Louise Bryan

I think it’s a pretty dress, but it seems an awfully girlish choice for a woman with such a fierce looking body.

    • bookish

That is some *crazy* eye makeup she’s sporting!

      • JDreesen

it leaves me shaken (not stirred).

        • Judih1

        • lovelyivy

           *starts slow clap*

      • http://twitter.com/iJenmac Jennifer McClory

She looks like she graduated from the SJP School of Eyeliner Application.  Yikes!

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_64HSRZWCSJ5RBFGCWDLFQOICYM G

That is one fabulous Vivienne Westwood dress… she looks great.  Perfect for a Bond girl.  Bond, on the other hand, looks like his jacket could have been a skosh larger, but love the 2 tone.

Yes, Ashleigh, she is certainly corseted in!

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Maya-KC/537771651 Maya KC

Either she has inhuman proportions, or that is some Dita level corsetry going on. That dress is not Dita level fabulous, though. I hate the boob horn look.

      • MRC210

I know.  The boob horns always look like they’re pinching.

        • MoHub

I think I’d like that dress if the bodice were either smoothly arc’d across the top edge or sweetheart-shaped. The horns do not play well with a woman’s natural shape and make for tortured tits.

    • MaryanneGirl

Holy MOSES I keep staring at her uneven eye makeup! Who thought that was a good idea?? The dramatic dress AND the dramatic (unbalanced) look? No bueno.

    • http://twitter.com/jeremiahcapz Jeremiah Capacillo

Her eye makeup’s sort of scary…

    • CozyCat

She’s a beautiful woman working really hard to hide it with the worst makeup ever.

    • hughman

You, ma’am, are no Helena Bonham Carter.

      • NC_Meg

She looks like HBC and Catherine Zeta Jones (or Keira Knightley) had a baby. And then that baby applied her own eye makeup.

        • crash1212

OK…your comment just made me gaffaw at work, thus totally busted for playing around on the internet instead of getting stuff done! Well worth it though! Thanks for the giggle!

        • PeaceBang

Just snarfed water all over my screen, dernit.

          • NC_Meg

I’m sorry I made yall spit water on your screen and get in trouble at work but I’m glad you GOLed (guffawed out loud. Use it, love it.)

      • kschwarting

Ugh!  I just said the same thing above, but not as concisely.  Should’ve scrolled down first!

      • PeaceBang

        I was thinking poor man’s Catherine Zeta-Jones.

    • jilly_d

Him: jacket sleeves coulda been a skosh longer, but he still looks like sex.  Love the two-tone; fashiony but not overboard.  Her: hot rumpled mess.  Bad makeup.

    • Corsetmaker

I love the dress but it’s a little short in the bodice for her. She could’ve done with an extra inch or so.

But the bustle is great, more bustles as far as I’m concerned. Hair and make-up aren’t too good.

Aside from that I’m going to get a cut and paste standard Westwood post for these occasions :D built in corset, 17th/18th c stays, conical, pushes boobs up, doesn’t hurt (they squish), etc etc.  ;)

    • PrunellaV

That red is just so… obvious, or something. And her boobs need leveling. Craig looks edible, as usual.

    • ChelseaNH

That’s some saloon girl couture, there.  Also, very territorial.

      Mr. Craig looks very Bond-ly.

    • http://www.facebook.com/ediekemp Edith Beumer Kemp

There’s a woman in a dress in that picture?

      • jjfg

    • sk8tfan

I love how in the first photo, she appears to be snarling. I assume she has poison in her ring and is just waiting for a private moment to slip it in his martini. He is the rare example where the  whole is better than the sum of the parts. Thinning hair, squinty eyes, big ears, and yet he’s totally hot and I completely believe he’d have sex with her and then kill her with his bare hands without breaking  a sweat. The perfect Bond.

      • http://twitter.com/stellaphone Stella Zawistowski

Not his martini, his Heineken (blech! why?!).

        • In_Stitches

28 million pounds is why.  Movies aren’t a safe bet anymore, even a bond film and product placement helps get them made.

    • Mike Owens

I want to eat him. He looks absolutely, indisputably, delicious.

    • http://michjeff-quiltersparadise.blogspot.com/ Michelle Young

Well, he is eye candy no matter what he wears, but I think he looks especially Bond-ish this night.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_L6FKGKUXWF6QSWWYAHJZYKKI3E Adrian

She: needs to loosen that corset, damn. He: looks very Sinatra, but also, high. I mean, check out his red eyelids!

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/KBNJ6GJTXYEE6BON3WGK6KEGT4 Elizabeth

Adrian … According to the press I read, Craig was somewhat under the weather and ill. Despite not feeling well, he showed up due to the enormity of the event (Prince Charles and Camilla were in attendance … sheesh, those Brits love their Bond). I agree with the Rat Pack vibe; I think he looks fantastic. That Tom Ford tux is a great modern take on a classic look.

    • EEKstl

He, as always, is yummylicious.  She has beautiful hands; not a big fan of the dress – the babyheads fussiness of it all.

    • Anathema_Device

That eye make up is insane! Leave it for the editorial pages, honey, it doesn’t play in real life.

      • Nelliebelle1197

        It’s horrid.

    • StellaZafella

It’s the under liner and dark lower eye area that doesn’t work with this look…without it she’d be pulling more towards Sophia Loren territory in all the rumpled red.
The dress is typical Westwood, others wear this thing better, it’s a matter of attitude (ala Helena Bonham Carter) …she’s giving it a good try, tho’.

Mr. Craig, on the other hand, (and I do mean other hand), makes a straight forward monkey suit look good enough to eat.

    • Ruth Preston

Babyheads + two burnt-holes-in-a-blanket eyeliner + hepatitic lip color. Amazing dress aside, girl looks rough.

    • nc17

I’ll give Craig a WERQ for this suit. Berenice would get a WERQ if she was Helena Bonham Carter.

      • kimmeister

That jacket is gorgeous!  Love that it’s navy.

    • sockandaphone

      he: does no wrong ever
she: tone it down by at least 10, darling. and brush that hair.

    • Janet B

Love, love, love the tux.  Her dress has an awkward bodice, but it certainly is showy.

    • http://twitter.com/lenabena_ Elena

HAAAATE her eye makeup. So unnecessary. Not really a fan of the dress either. Daniel looks like perfection though.

    • MilaXX

He looks  good. I like that he always manages to wear a bit of blue to bring out his eyes. I hate her dress.   The bust sits way too low, like it’s hanging off her nips, and the rest of it looks a salon gal /Ms Kitty.

    • decormaven

Like her ring and bracelet; can’t study the earrings too closely because of the wonky eyeliner. HBC would rock this dress; on this actress, not so much. His jacket photographs very well, as does he.

    • YoungSally

All I can think with her top is “that’s gonna leave a mark!!”

    • Sara Noonan

Daniel Craig is hot and looks great, but he’s not really my flavor (where has Tom Hardy been hiding these days, by the way)?

However.  Berenice, despite the scary make-up and questionable hair, has earned my love and respect forever with that…breathtaking, spectacular, mind-blowing bitchface she’s serving up.  Good lord, I feel scorched with that look of disdain all the way in St. Louis.  I’ve never heard of her before, but I think I love her.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_4E7CJS2B4AWYGLHEB33ESGF5HM Go!

Daniel Craig was (literally) hot and had to wipe the perspiration from his brow at the London premiere.
Berenice got her exotic looks from her French mom and Cambodian dad.

        • gabbilevy

Yes! As soon as you said that, I could see the Cambodian (spent some time living there). Wondered, briefly, why I didn’t see it before, but then scrolled back up and was so horrified by the makeup that it made sense.

    • NCDFan

      That dress looks dangerous

    • AlexisPayne

Love that dress, but it needs a few inches off the hem. He looks amazing, full stop.

    • Dagney

She does not look…..quite…right…I can’t put my finger on it. Am I alone in this?  Maybe the hair needs some neatening up or something….the makeup is a little Sunset Strip.

    • kschwarting

Vivienne Westwood seems to require master’s-level styling and wearing…and the only person I’ve seen who truly pulls it off is Helena Bonham Carter.

      • http://twitter.com/ktbassett Katrina Bassett

This does look like HBC’s dress, and only hers.

    • zenobar

This seems to be some sort of unattractive trend – I don’t understand what’s going on with all this dark shadow on the inner corners of the eyelids and up to the inner brow.  It’s universally unflattering – it makes one’s eyes look like two lil ole raisins in the middle of a custard pie.

    • http://twitter.com/ktbassett Katrina Bassett

I wish TLo would comment on the length of the sleeves in his tux. Aren’t they a little short? Almost the entire cuff is showing.

    • Kimberly Cruea

One boob looks twice as huge as the other. She also looks pissy. You’re at a premiere. Lighten up, for christ’s sake.

    • margaret meyers

Does that dress needs to be tugged NORTH about 2 inches?  CAN it be tugged North?

    • gabbilevy

Hmm, I think he looks sexy n’ all, but that jacket looks like it belongs on a casino employee in his first Bond movie, rather than on the star.

    • http://twitter.com/sarahohmygod Sarah Oleksyk

      Devil tits.

    • ThaliaMenninger

He looks ok, but she’s wearing the drapes from a whorehouse.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=14301272 Kate Gorton

Bond and his Bond Girl. Smashing all around.

    • http://twitter.com/LianaBrooks Liana Brooks

I’d look ready to murder someone if I were stuffed in that dress too. That bodice design needs to be be burnt.

    • ghopping

Why anyone would want to do that to their eyes is beyond me.

    • MrsJulien

If a James Bond premiere isn’t worth it to them to hem her loaner dress properly for her, what is? Having gotten that off my chest, I must now focus on resisting the temptation to lick each of the pictures of Daniel Craig.

    • AtticWife

    • SapphoPoet

He looks great. I’d like to yank her dress up about about a foot or so. I don’t like the neckline, but the rest of the dress is fabulous.

    • quiltrx

      He looks awesome.

Something looks just wrong with the front of her dress.  Like the cooter curtain part is supposed to be pulled down more, covering that tight gathery portion of the lower skirt.  The back of the skirt is great, but I don’t get the front.

    • Valerie Jones

Too tight, too shiny, too much makeup, too much puddling at the ankles. And that’s just him.

    • http://twitter.com/Wint3rhart Winterhart

The dress is fabulous; she didn’t need the eyeshadow.

He, on the other hand, looks spectacular.

    • Pennymac

Girl, thats’ so not your…well…everything! Dress, makeup, styling, did I say makeup? Cause theres so much of it I had to say it twice. Thats an HBC dress, fo sho.

Mr. Craig, on the other hand, is making up for Ms Marlohe.(How many accents and umlauts does one need in ones name, anyway?)
He is the best Bond since Connery, no lie. Perfection!

    • ojosazules

Love her big red dress. Especially the back. Her eyes are freaky. Cute date!

    • LesYeuxHiboux

Why did she let my seventeen-year-old sister-in-law do her eye makeup? The girl has no concept of “enough”!

    • boweryboy

I’ll try my hand at pairs division:

She looks like she had a late night, passed out in her dress and woke moments before the premiere without an opportunity to iron the dress or comb her hair. Westwood’s aesthetic is an acquired taste but this dress is a big ol’ mess. Also, the bodice is too small. Side spillover babyhead action is not ok or sexy. Plus raccoon eyes. 5/10

He looks likes he’s been on a bender and has the red bleary eyes to back that up. Either that or he has pink eye and gave it to Berenice which would explain her raccoon eyes. Also the jacket looks a skoosh too small and the sleeves look too short. Pants hem is perfect but shoes are boring. Even so he still looks good, just not my cup of tea. 7/10 – and just barely a 7.

Combined score: 6/10 They both need to go back home, sleep off their hangovers for a good 8 hours, and try again.

    • nankipoo

They both look insane, like they’re coming down from a six day crank orgy.

    • formerlyAnon

That dress works better than it ought to, given its component parts. I think she has BEAUTIFUL arms and shoulders, which is why this works despite the reckless saloon girl vibe that the semi-trammeled boobs and the semi-bustle in the rear set up.

I didn’t think she looks any more cinched in than many women do in these gowns, I just thought she had lovely strong shoulders & the dress is cut to emphasize the waist. (Not to say she’s not wearing some kind of corset, it’s certainly as likely as not built into the dress. It IS a Westwood.)

I gushed over him on his own post the other day. Statements still stand. Takeaway: wannabes under 40 who maybe don’t know better & deluded ones over 40: stubble is not required to look manly. And if you don’t got it, a chin full of mange isn’t going to give it to you, in most cases.

    • SophieCollier

Her eye makeup is distracting.  It gives her a bad case of creepy-face.  The dress is fine, if a bid Evil Queen.

    • http://twitter.com/jennsaysmeow Fifi LaRoux

Can she please ship that dress over to HBC so she can rock it the way it is meant to be rocked?

      • l_c_ann

Doesn’t HBC already have that dress in her chosen color in-your-face purple?

    • Judih1

She looks like a female version of Count Dracula. Looks funeral looking even in bright red

Does Vivienne Westwood design anything other than weird bustier looking dresses? What was once a fresh and exciting look is now old and tired

    • RzYoung

Hang on, when I saw him on the telly I loved the blue jacket and thought ‘what a lovely navy suit’…but is he wearing it with black trousers?! Is that allowed now?

      • l_c_ann

I think it’s intentional that the black trousers match the black accents (and especially the lapels) on the tux jacket.  I got the same WTF when I saw it because the main tux fabric is not our (ha) run of the mill tux fabric.

    • ZnSD

Hooker in the red dress is ok but damn, he is a vampire of my heart. Those ears? Straight up vampire. No wonder his pants are so stuffed.

    • http://profiles.google.com/sauchih Sau-Chih Feng

I feel bad for her boobs.

    • In_Stitches

I don’t get all the distaste for her; she’s playing a Bond girl, that is: beautiful, sexual, and ultimately a replaceable accessory.  A corseted confection that draws all eyes to her makes sense.  The crazy makeup and hair, well that I can’t explain, but the dress works.

He really knows how to wear a tux.  He has the presence to not get lost in the formality of it all which is a rare skill.

    • http://twitter.com/Chucko78 Chuck Barthelme

I think she just has a bad stylist. That makeup isn’t doing her any favors. Daniel looks great, as usual. Bastard.

    • sunflwrmoonbeam

There’s something about that dress that screams saloon girl.

    • jmorino08

They both look great. She needs to work on her red carpet face, though. Always be smiling, baby!

    • http://www.facebook.com/bert.keeter Bert Keeter

The Royal Albert want there curtains back!

    • Miss_Led

How could you be on Daniel Craig’s arm and look so pissed off!? Put me on his arm & I’ll show you some smiling…

    • stubbornthoughts

There’s a woman in some of these pictures? I hadn’t noticed. I’m too busy eye fucking Daniel Craig.

    • Trisha26

Daniel is stunning! Love that midnight blue jacket. I hate that asymmetrical bodice on Bérénice – the entire thing looks very Scarlett O’Hara “I’m making a dress out of the cheap red satin drapes and don’t give a f—.”

    • notanotherusernameforchrissake

      boob claw strikes again

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

There’s a bit of a titscrepapncy in the bust, but otherwise, it seems like typical anonymous-Bond-girl drag to me.

And I LOVE that Daniel Craig’s jacket is navy with polka dots (or whatever that texture is). LOVE.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_F73LIJ3SJGI5AJQMXMWXCKILHI Pamela

      Oh.  Daniel.  [drool]

    • Zippypie

Her makeup is absolutely frightening!  But who cares about her.  Even a bright red dress can’t overshadow Mr. Bond.  YUMMMM

    • littlemac8

HBC is calling and she wants her dress back!  Horrid eye makeup!  It’s really kind of hard to tell what she even looks like.  Happy Halloween!!!

    • guest2visits

Craig is gorgeous of course, but it looks like he’s in some kind of Bond trouble with the apparition holding his arm.
She looks alittle like a Scarlet-villainess in her devil red antebellum gown; and the eye make-up is taking on a life of it’s own.

    • allj

Love her dress, but the eye makeup makes her look cray-cray

      • Candigirl1968

    • belfebe

He looks great.  She, on the other hand is a) wearing a bad prom dress, and b) her makeup and hair were fixed by her worst enemy.

    • http://twitter.com/ddaniell_e dani

She looked so beautiful in Skyfall. Totally different from this… Something’s doesn’t look right here…
