so shiny and red and lacquered. She looks like a designer barbie. She is so very pretty, I think she could go edgier.

      • Dollsaga

no, she is not a designer Barbie but a playline Barbie.   Her dress is a corcet  Barbie would wear underneath her formal gown.   As a doll,   this one just wont sell.

        • IrmaLaDuce

how about Deconstructed Saloon Whore Barbie?

          • Nelliebelle1197

             Circus Circus Showgirl Barbie

            • EveEve

Rockettes Christmas Extravaganza Barbie. The detachable skirts become the giant Christmas tree’s skirt in the grand finale.

      • drdarke

I disagree, @CPK1:disqus – I think her looks says, “Yes, I’m pretty and I look all innocent – but I’ve also got just a bit of a taste for nasty sex. Are you Big Bad Wolf enough to eat me…?”

    • Manuel Fonseca

Is she doing a second part of Little red riding hood? if so, that should be part of the costume design.

    • Mary Lauer

Honey, please don’t match your lipstick to your dress. kthxbye.

    • Jane Donuts

Wish she had worn a different lipstick, but you can’t say she didn’t turn it out here. Modern Barbie. Looks like an American Marion Cotillard.

    • HomeOfficeGirl

The bottom part of the skirt is odd…

      • 3boysful

The bottom’s odd and the top is ugly.  The whole thing needs the balancing (and the corset-covering) of the overtop thingy on the model.

    • random_poster

The shiny dress fabric looks like it’s meant to for a halloween costume.

      • AmandaCathleen

THIS. The fabric just looks so damn cheap! This would definitely be an “OUT” for me.

      • gillian holroyd

Right. Cheap halloween costume. Face and hair are great though.

      • out for a walk

The fabric and the finishing both. Seeing the end of the boning so clearly and little loose threads is pissing me off. And the hem. Blegh, it really does look like a cheap costume.

    • PastryGoddess

the more I see it the more I like it.  That color looks good on her.

My only quibble is the corset/not corset bodice…meh

    • LLuL

Not working. That dress is just silly.

    • decormaven

Doesn’t help that the beige in the dress is almost the same hue as her skintone-makes the detailing look like cutouts. Shoes don’t set off the look; the designer’s choice makes more of a statement.

    • SophieCollier

      Hot pink taffeta.  Really?

    • Ass Kicking Adviser

It is skating a little close to a Moulin Rouge costume but I like it. She’s young – and oh so pretty – and can pull it off. I think she looks cute.

      • l_c_ann

Young, but a lot closer to 30 than to 20.

    • nnbb

She looks like an old fashioned ice cream shoppe waitress.

    • MilaXX

I don’t like the top without the capelet, but I don’t see her as one to pull off wearing it.

    • Imasewsure

I don’t usually like shiny but she looks gorgeous… kind of clean-slutty which I like

    • l_c_ann

The dress would work well in the “Hey big spender” song from Sweet Charity.

    • afabulous50

She looks like she’ll be performing on the high-wire any minute now!

    • Sara LaBatt

Huh.  She looks a lot like Madonna.  Right down to the bustier.  I do not like this dress.  Too shiny, weird beige bra color outlines, skirt looks tacked on.  Just doesn’t look like a dress to me, but a home ec project with mom’s old red corset maybe.  And I’m not convinced that color on her lips is her friend.

    • enid soto

      Candy cane dress.

    • Sobaika

I was never fully onboard the underwear-as-outerwear thing.

    • Emma Liberman

the face is sex, the outfit is Christmas tree topper.

    • rissa42210

No.  That looks like a Fredrick’s of Hollywood bustier roughly sown onto a christmas tree skirt.  No.  Also, close your mouth on the red carpet, girl.  Sexy means not having to try that hard.

    • sashaychante

I’m not fond of the dress but at least it FITS her.  Her lipstick seems harsh.

    • Annabelle Archer

Amanda Seyfried attends the 24th Annual Adult Film Awards.

    • ojosazules

She’s being dissected by the Spirit of Christmas. Her breasts are in danger.

      • kimmeister

Ha, like being drawn and quartered.  Er, “sixthed.”

    • librarygrrl64

Too shiny for me, but the style and color work on her, and it fits her beautifully. I love a gold shoe with this, but I’d love it more if the dress weren’t so shiny.

    • anotherkate

I kind of miss that goofy jacket with it. It’s ugly, but it adds another tier to the whole “tiered look” thing.

    • BrooklynBomber

Ugh. The way the model is styled gives it a “yeah, I’m wearing this, go fuck yourself” attitude. Without that it’s just toooo much.

    • aka Darth Mommy

Saloon girl Barbie…hate it…all she needs is the fishnets and feather in her hair…

    • kittenmasks

She needs the front part of the dress.

    • Clueless_Jock

      Agent Provocateur with a skirt.

    • alyce1213

The editorial (runway) version is much nicer. I dislike corset-inspired dresses in general (and especially wedding gowns).
Only Helena Bonham Carter can pull it off.
Cute girl, though, and gorgeous hair.

    • Katrina Bassett

I think she looks gorgeous. Props for doing something unusual on the red carpet.

    • Isadora Paiva

Too shiny and it looks oddly unfinished (that hem!). She does have the best hair in the business though, so shiny!

    • eowyn_of_rohan

Stoned duckface + cheap shiny fabric = NO THANK YOU.

    • MissMariRose

I see she’s dressing up as a sexy candy striper for Halloween.

    • EEKstl

Is this what Candy Stripers looked like at the Moulin Rouge?

    • Meghann

Not good. That dress looks like a cheap saloon girl costume that a drug store would have in their Halloween section.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

I really like this silhouette on her, but the dress itself looks too much like a costume.

    • Lilithcat

It’s a great color on her.  And that is the only good thing about this dress.

    • quiltrx

This is an odd look anyway (tomato red with old bras is not a color combo I go for)…but it is much, much better with the topper.

    • sleah_in_norcal

she’s a whole new kind of candy striper!  a candy stripper?  anyways, what a beautiful girl.

      • Elizabeth

Yes! This! A candy stripper. She’s a beautiful woman, but this is just so obvious. She looks like a sex doll, which mightn’t be a bad thing in the right circumstances, but just seems cheap on the red carpet.

    • JauntyJohn

“Hey you guys, what if Wonder Girl worked in an English Music Hall?”

    • schadenfreudelicious

      “Cigars, cigarettes”……

    • Molly Geipel

I think hair and makeup look fabulous, but that is one cheap-looking, ugly dress.

    • marlie

My immediate, visceral reaction was “Honey, NO.” I don’t know if it would be better or worse with the weird cape thingy that the model has. Regardless, it looks like a cross between a design-schoool project and lingerie.

    • rainwood1

This looks like the bridesmaid dress that goes with those terrible P’nina see-through corset wedding dresses.

    • NurseEllen

She looks like a blow-up sex doll that used to be advertised in the back pages of questionable magazines, right down to the gash of red across her face (aka lipstick).  No wonder you haven’t bothered to leave a comment, TLo, and just left it up to us.  No, no, no.

    • crash1212

That dress NEEDS the little jacket thingy – without it she looks like a slightly updated version of a saloon girl. And the lipstick is making me want to attack her with a tissue…not a good choice.

    • Cloveradams

      Belle Watling’s kicking-around-the-bordello outfit.

    •!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

I know it’s anathema to just replicate the look from the runway, but this just doesn’t seem to work without the cape and shoes.

    • AlexisPayne

Feels very Holiday, also don’t know that I like the drop waist.

    • Chuck Barthelme

I don’t want it to be shorter, but the hem looks too long for the overall proportions of the dress. Plus, I just don’t like the look at all.  It looks like a cross between lingerie and a clown costume.

    • Trisha26

Did the old West saloon gals have lipstick that matched their corsets, too?

    • foodycatAlicia

Steampunk Wonderwoman is just a pair of laceup boots and some gold cuffs away.

    • belfebe

I would have liked it with the top that the model is wearing.

    • jennsilentcrow

Thought i loved it till i saw the whole thing and up close. This is a good color though,IMHO.

    • jennsilentcrow

replying to myself. It does NOTHING for her which is weird.

    • jelenawoehr

The fabric looks like it belongs on a Savers $7.88 Halloween Costume.

    • Mary229

I love her but I sort of hate this look from head to toe.

    • HazellC

It’s like she’s recycling her Jingle Bell Rock costume from Mean Girls.

    • neofashionista

I question if this is in her wheel house but she is working it so good for her

    • nannypoo

Sort of an SM look, wouldn’t you say?  Like a naughty Santa’s Elf.

    • PaulaBerman

      Bordello wear.

    • margaret meyers

Trick rider in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.

    • understateddiva

Why must everyone’s lipstick be seen from space??  This is becoming a Thing.

    • Call me Bee

Well, given that this is basically an undergarment with a skirt, it’s kinda cute and fits well.

    • butter nut

      clown lingerie.

    • Jennifer

I swear my homecoming dress, circa 1989, looked like this. Not good.

    • RzYoung

hmm, think i prefer it with the funny shoulder thing.

    • Jeff Warhurst

I think the jacket is fabulous, or could be with a pair of stovepipe panys.  The dress is for a Christmas hooker.

    • sophie elliott

I actually really like this. A mix of sexy, sassy and classy.

    • guest2visits

Even though she wears it much better than the model, this is really a cheapy looking fabric, color and design.
The corset portion isn’t bad, but the skirt looks like a troup of Brownies made it for a Christmas tree-stand.
She is gorgeous though, and it looks like the shoes and clutch are very nice.

    • littlemac8

While I appreciate the fact that she doesn’t have baby heads (which keeps her from looking totally like a tartlet) that shiny, shiny fabric looks cheap, cheap, cheap!

    • Corsetmaker

Ooh, the finish isn’t very good is it! Look at that hem.
I really dislike cupped bodices. Hate them when Dolce & Gabbana do them too, just don’t like. It looks better a little shorter and fuller as it is on the model too. It all seems a bit skimped and limp on her.
That coral red is quite pretty. That’s about all I can say in it’s favour.

    • B_C_J

I like the corset portion of the dress. The skirt attached to it is not my favorite.  Love the coral color especially because she is a very beautiful but pale woman.  The hair is lovely.

    • annmarmae

      Madonna Prom circa 1987.

Nip that skirt into a pencil silhouette and we can talk.

    • CMS

I really really like the shoes on the model

    • ccm800

looses all charm without the capey thing and could she please stop making the 976-call me face already?
