In or Out: Hailee Steinfeld in Mary Katrantzou

Posted on September 21, 2012

Haillee Steinfeld, it’s time to face it like a woman. The Bitter Kittens are going to have their say.

We ask you, darlings…

Hailee Steinfeld attends ELLE & Sundance Channel celebrating ‘All On The Line With Joe Zee’ in West Hollywood in a Mary Katrantzou dress. Sandals by Brian Atwood. Minaudière by Rebecca Minkoff.

Mary Katrantzou Spring 2012 Collection

Is this an adorably sassy teenage melange of styles or does it just look like ass and she’s going to cringe when she happens upon these pictures in 2037? We love every piece she’s wearing, but we don’t think we’re going out on a limb when we say it’s a … unique blend of items.

We sound more disapproving than we actually feel. We think she looks cute. You’re the ones that are going to have to dispense harsh justice. Don’t be afraid. Opinions about celebrities are the lifeblood of the internet, kittens.

Vote Now!

IN! Fly your Freak Flag while you can, little girl!

OUT! Oh, honey. You’re going to regret this some day.

And can we say how much it sucks that we couldn’t attend this party? We were invited, but a hop out to L.A. just after Fashion Week was not in the cards. Then again, we would have probably stayed in a corner all night and silently judged everyone because “Hi, Hailee. Nice to meet you! We’re going to be putting your dress up to a vote tomorrow.” isn’t a great ice-breaker.

Cobie Smulders’ “Imitation of Lana” dress got an IN.

  • I would have loved it if that shirt had just been black, but I cannot get behind the glasses over her boobs. NO. OUT.

    • MoHub

      Boob specs!

That shirt looks as if it came out of Edina Monsoon’s closet.

    • I’m so nearsighted that if boobs could use specs, mine would probably need them.  But these ones just push the rest of the outfit into OUT! territory.

    • ralish

Exactly. This would’ve been super cute with just a plain black shirt. That skirt is awesome.

    • I have to agree.  Boob specs is just wrong.  Boob headlights, boob babyheads, boob fireworks are all wrong.  I really love the dress on the model, and it would have been adorable on Hailee.

Count my vote as an OUT.

    • Vickiefantastico

      Agreed. Out.

    • mshesterp

I love all of it EXCEPT for the boob spectacles.  That’s just weird.  The rest of it is working for me.

      • kimmeister

I don’t find anything particularly unusual about the blend of items besides the boob glasses.  Everything else is working like gangbusters.

    • Minors should not be inviting adults to look at their boobs. This is a fashion rule that cannot – indeed, must not – be broken.

  • If only the glasses weren’t there..out

  • Her boobs have sunglasses.

I mean, seriously, her boobs have sunglasses.

I can’t see anything else. Just sunglass-boobs. And I wonder: are they prescription lenses? Do her nipples have an astigmatism? Does she press her chest against the machine at the DMV? What does it look like when she winks?

    • God I love your sense of humor! I’m rolling out of my chair here at work. Thank you for that. And I’m thinking “How does she clean her glasses?”

  • Sarah Masson

    In in in!  Super cute.

    • Jill_3

I agree! I think this look is all kinds of crazy cute. I even like the boob specs. Maybe it’s because I’m young and probably wearing and outfit right now that I’ll look back on in the year 2037 and want to retroactively destroy. But well done, Hailee. I love that it’s interesting and not a folded frilly paper napkin nude colored princess dress. IN.

    • perfectly appropiate for her age, Fun,Funky and irreverent

      • CozyCat

I agree.  While a plain black shirt might have been more “tasteful,”  the spectacles shirt is exactly what the average girl her age would pick.  It makes me like her even more.
And even by bitter kitten standards, it would have been much, much worst to chose the top shown on the runway.  WAY too mature  for her!

  • blogless

  • stchoo

We still need to remember that she’s 15, she looks cute and like she’s having fun.

  • Lilithcat

Why is she wearing glasses on her boobs?

In other words, the skirt is cute but the shirt is ridiculous.

But she gets an in for being generally adorable.

  • I actually love it on her. A teenager. I might hate it on a grown woman, but on her I think it is near perfect!

    • Agreed.  IN for the teen!

    • lindsmh

Agreed. IN! She looks fantastic. Sure, she might regret the boob glasses shirt 20 years from now, but who cares? She’s young enough now to pull it off and the rest of the outfit is fabulous.

    • MidArmJewel

I agree with you.  This is really cute for a teen in designer duds. IN!

  • VioletFem

IN. Super cute. I’m not usually a fan of Mary Katrantzou’s work, but Hailee looks really good in this outfit. I really like the mix of colors.

  • nicole seligman

IN! i love this and would wear this in a heartbeat. bonus for the boob-framing glasses.

  • Myrlin Hermes

Well, I suppose that’s one answer to the “My eyes are up HERE” problem.

    • blogless

      Oh that’s good.

  • BrooklynBomber

  • Super cute and youthful, so IN. Just wish she’d worn her hair up in a sleek ponytail.

  • G

Like everything but the boob eyeglass shirt.  Tough, but OUT.

  • Fly the freak flag while you can!  In!

  • Sobaika

She looks great. I’d wear that outfit at my age I think (minus the shoes, necklace, and toe polish)

  • The skirt is too tight and therefore wrinkled (the print is phenomenal, per the usual from MK), and it doesn’t pair well with the t-shirt.  Jewelry and shoes read “I borrowed these accessories from my mom.”  But she is so youthful and adorable, I have to give her an “in.”

  • PinkLemon

    oOo! This is adorable. IN

  • Pants_are_a_must

It’s not a bad combo, but I sadly think the skirt doesn’t fit well enough, which sabotages the outfit, and for that give her an OUT.

  • ojosazules

She looks cute, but, and I never thought I would ever say this, the skirt is a bit too long. The shoes are too old for her and seem a bit much for the outfit. And, yes, no one ever needs boob shades.

  • Christy Cricow

In as can be. She is having fun with her clothes….would that most celebrities could say that.

  • I love everything about it, esp. the fab shoes and pedi.

  • Karen Dickerson

IN! I think she looks totally adorable. If she would have worn her hair in a ponytail, this look would be perfect.

  • It’s a tough call. Boob glasses would be unforgivable on someone with actual boobs – but are just kind of icky on someone who’s still not all quite there in the boob department.

On the other hand – the t-shirt improves the dress by at least 1384% (.027, if you must know) and the necklace is just right, and her choice of toe nail polish was perfect. The shoes are also kind of unforgivable but in a good way. But – is that even a bag or is it a pencil case?

It’s a hell of a lot of look – but she’s pulling it off. IN.

  • random_poster

My pre-teen daughter informed me that mustaches are the new trend by wearing a shirt with a sparkly mustache located in the same spot as these sunglasses. I give Hailee a pass because she is a teenager, so IN.

    • LesYeuxHiboux

This reminds me of the adage that by the time the fad reaches the pre-teens it’s over. Mustaches were huge with the hipsters in hipster-heavy Arcata, CA in 2010-11. Finger mustaches, mustache rings, mustaches window-clings, sticky gel ‘staches, mustache-shaped ice cubes, mustache necklaces, mustache-shaped breath-mints…I am mustached out.

  • msdamselfly

    OUT that shirt is fugly

  • Leslie Allen

In! I think the glasses are a fun nod to the adorable secretary vibe she has going.

  • Sara__B

Call me an old fuddy duddy, but the golden boob glasses seem wrong on such a sweet young thing. Boob glasses: OUT. Everything else: IN.

  • In! Although I just can’t with the boob glasses tee. Love everything else though.

  • Love everything above the neck and below the waist. So 2/3 IN.

  • teensmom99

IN because she’s a teen.  and she is adorbs.

  • mjude

  • Clueless_Jock

It’s a silly outfit but she’s young enough to make it work.

  • I say she’s IN! She is working that look as only a teenager can.

  • Definitely adorable and age appropriate. IN

  • Qitkat

As startled as I was, she gets an IN from me. I only wish I had flown my freak flag at that age.

  • Out – sunglass boobs are never a good idea.

  • aeb1986

    In! Super cute and youthful

  • In. Cutie pie.

  • aeb1986

    In! Cute and youthful.

  • TheLaurenJean

    I love it! In!

  • IN, she’s a teenager and gets away with it..

  • Julie Parr

In in in in in in in.
This is one of her best looks.
She is super-adorable. I wish she had been Katniss.

    • Spicytomato1

Haha, she was my fantasy Katniss, too!

      Agree that she’s way IN.

  • frannyprof

    In, even with the boob-glasses.

  • i really like this for a 15 year old, i think she looks cute.

  • Jangle57

I can’t picture that shirt looking good with anything because it’s just ugly.  It seems a shame to be harsh when she’s as young as hse is, but she’s got to learn sometime.  OUT

  • call_me_schmeg

    boob glasses. still, IN.

  • Nappysue

I consider myself a fashion forward 59-year-old, and I would wear the skirt (a few inches longer), the shoes (a few inches shorter), and my toenails are currently that color.  I would not, however, wear the t-shirt with the eyeglasses on the boobs (plain black for my fantasy outfit), but I love it on her!  IN to the nth degree!!!

  • fungstyle

IN! Love it. I think the glasses everyone hates so much are fun, the yellow clutch was the perfect choice, and the green toe nails with the bronze shoes are great together. My big complaint is the big ass chain necklace. There’s enough going on without that on top. I still say it’s an in though.

  • tereliz

She’s a kid, it’s cute and age-appropriate. In. And am I the only one going insane over Mary K’s work? It’s a lot more wearable than it seems at first, and I love the unique melange of prints and inspirations. I think this is a great use of separates for a young lady star. Sure, a plain black tee would have been my choice to pair with the skirt, but I’m over thirty.

  • j_anson

IN. I think it’s cute – although it’s hard to tell against that background. Whose brilliant idea was it to have a black background for photos?

  • Chloe May

In. I would wear that exact outfit as is.

  • DaveUWSNYC

    Perfect top for nearsighted nipples.

  • harleydear

Even with the glasses, I think it’s an IN. She looks adorable and bully for her for making slightly unusual styling choices.

  • LongTall_Sally

IN — she’s adorable.  But I wouldn’t be sad if she decided to never wear the boob specs again.

  • gabbilevy

In In IN! Love every bit of this.

  • BlondettaChick

Boobs should not have glasses. OUT.

  • SewingSiren

Fly your freak flag! I like the way she’s styled it better than the runway.

  • Lisa Dugan

In.  It’s pretty weird but adorable.

  • samitee

SO IN. Love all of it. No apologies.

  • IN.  never lose your freakiness!  mary k. is my very favorite designer, so hailee gets an in just for the attempt.  too bad about the cropped t-shirt with the boob glasses.  everything else is perfect.

  • Victoria Sharoyan

The skirt is eye-catching and sits on her beautifully, and even I, platform-loather extraordinaire, think those shoes are killer. Too bad she ruined the perfect pairing of these with a black t-shirt by choosing THAT black t-shirt.

  • MilaXX

IN – Not sure why, I think it shouldn’t work, but  for me it does.

  • Francesca Blom

Love it. If you can’t wear boob specs when you are 15, then when? IN

    • MoHub

  • Emily Roach

    In!! Yay for her!

  • I need that skirt. IN

  • Jessica O’Connell

I kind of love it for being fun and teen-y. IN.

  • Remove the boob specs and we’re fine.  IN, but honey, in future, don’t confuse freaky with trashy.

  • Cathy S

No way. The shirt just ruins it.

  • Scimommy

I like everything except for the yellow… pill holder thingy. IN.

  • Judy_J

IN.  She’s adorable.  I’m not a fan of that t-shirt, but she just looks so cute that I have to give her an in.

  • Am I the only one thinking how an underage teenager can be allowed to wear shoes like that? I wouldn’t allow my (non-existent) daughter to wear high heels at that age let alone platform high heels! Not really healthy & too sexualized for somebody that age. Skirt is great, shirt is a little bit weird but might be fun with jeans, she looks adorable but the shoes really freak me out.

    • Candigirl1968

Down here in Atlanta, a lot of 15-16 year old girls are teetering around the mall on a Saturday in heels like this.  They might as well own stock in the Steve Madden store.

Loving the skirt.  The skirt, shirt, necklace pairing is one that no one past the age of a high schooler could get away with.

  • lalahartma

  • Glasses on boobs are pretty funny but I still give her an IN. Very fun and funky and age appropriate.

  • Erin Nice

So very IN! I think this is great on her.

  • OUT. If she stuck to a plain black tee, this would have been an IN but that tee looks like she’s trying everything in her wardrobe on.

  • meowing

In, even if she WILL regret it in years to come–isn’t that the whole point of being a teenager?  Good lord, if I had access to the choices she does back in the Olden Days when I was a teen, there’d be a million pictures of me looking quite atrocious!  (Well, there are atricous pictures anyway).  Keep trying on different personas, honey, and have fun each and every day!

  • MK03

Yeah, she’ll look back on this in 20 years and facepalm. But hey, at least it was in couture…

  • Judy_S

    I love it, IN.

  • belfebe

I like the top (althought yes, I did think “boob specs”), and I like the bottom.  Just not together.  OUT.

  • Call me Bee

Eh–She’s a teenager.  Let her wear silly clothes like the rest of us did.  (There better not be any pictures of my fashions of 1969 floating about….)

  • Jellybish

IN. I choose to think of the sunglasses as charming.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

IN, perfect teenaged outfit. I was going to add a caveat for the shoes, which skew a little streetwalker, but then I realized that that is also perfect teenage style. Only potential embarrassment I anticipate is the fact that her breasts are wearing spectacles.

  • IN.  she’s too adorable and yes the glasses over the boobs is a little weird, but somehow she’s working the look.  it’s a bit much, but i think her age provides for some wiggle room.

  • ChelseaNH

It’s a toss-up, but I’ll give her the in.  If you just get rid of the eyeglass frames, the outfit gets soooo much better.

  • piecesofconfetti

  • lilibetp

I think it’s really cute, but the booby-specs are out!

  • janetjb

She looks adorable and she’ll probably laugh at it when she’s older.

  • stagmania

Yep, I would have gone for it if not for the sunglasses on her shirt. OUT.

  • In-dorable.

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

Unless her tits need bifocals so that they can stand up straight or something, there’s no excuse for that shirt.  OUT.

  • Wendi126

Quite the visionary. Would prefer a plain black T and I can’t not think toenail fungus when I see green polish. But I’m giving her an IN cause overall she looks cute and her confidence is awesome

  • PastryGoddess

She is a teenager and should be wearing sorts of things that don’t go together.  Even if they do cost the sun, moon, and stars.

  • Cute!!! IN!

  • bellafigura1

I love it, sassy and a little silly and very girlish, which she is.  She’s allowed.

  • I love the skirt, shoes, toenails, shiny hair, fresh makeup…but that SHIRT. I tried to get past it, but I can’t. Sorry, Hailee. OUT!

  • MzzPants

I’m torn about the boob-a-vision.  Otherwise, it’s fresh and cute.  She gets an ‘IN’ cause I like to be gentle the first time.

  • boomchicabowwow

I’m not a huge fan of the look, but I love Mary Katrantzou so much that anybody who wears her gets an automatic IN in my book.

  • Laylalola

IN. I’m going by her age group — I cannot for the life of me imagine the vast majority of girls her age thinking this is not super kewl.

  • LuluBI

I think it’s all quirky and cute – boob specs included.  If you aren’t going to wear boob specs when you are 16, then when??

  • I LOVE the sunglasses boobs! IN!!

  • Out. Too busy to be chic, but love the toenails and her hair looks great.

  • Julie Fountain

I think she looks like a fun, cute, teenager and I love the glasses shirt so I say IN.

  • I’m not loving the t-shirt but I do think the look works as young and sassy and age-appropriate and cute AND I think that the viewer’s discomfort may have been her teenagery intention, so: IN.

  • marilyn

In.  She is cute, and the sunglasses on the boobs don’t offend.

  • MsMajestyk

Mostly IN, even with the boob specs.  I say mostly because those shoes belong on a fierce queen, not a 15 year old.  Also, her hair is gorgeous.

  • The unblended eye makeup for me takes this from intentional fusion of styles to unsuccessful attempt at being sassy.

  • Tracy_Flick

I wish there were something in between IN and OUT. The skirt and shoes are great, and her makeup is lovely. But the boob specs and giant chain necklace just take over the look.

Sigh. I guess it’s an OUT. I can’t give the BoobNez an in.

  • barbarienne

I don’t particularly dig the dress on the model, but at least the top half of the model’s outfit has some connection to the bottom half.

I wore some pretty mismatched shit in my teen years and you know what? It was mismatched shit. Being young and cute doesn’t magically make a dog of an outfit acceptable.

Aside from the whole “that top doesn’t go with that skirt AT ALL” issue, glasses for your boobs are only permissible if your name is Fannie and you’re sitting in the last seat on Match Game 74.

  • RocknRollmom

Ok, no more lurking.  The mom in me felt compelled to vote a big IN for the lovely teen.  Having raised two daughters through the 15 year old stage, I think this is perfect and an excellent example of her trying to figure out her style while having access to clothes and shoes my daughters (and me for that matter!) can dream about.  She is more or less dressed adorably age appropriate, having fun, and all the pertinent body parts are nicely covered with any obvious ink or piercings!

  • Joy

    Adorable teenager, IN

  • clevRcat

She’s adorable and should enjoy wearing these fun things.  You sure as hell can’t get away with boob specs when you’re 50.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

IN…But next time get boob contacts.

  • chitowndg

Out because the boob sunglasses are way too casual with the other accesories she chose for the skirt.  She is young enough to get away with the T shirt itself, but worn with that necklace, clutch and shoes, it is too jarring, and hence all people can see is “her boobs are wearing sunglasses!”

  • IN!

  • kolokOlchik

Adorbs is what I say.  IN

  • lizajane1776

Out. One bad choice pushes it from quirky to yuck. And in my opinion, that bad choice was the glasses tee shirt. Everything else is great. Too bad.

  • Cute! IN.

  • CQAussie

If her boobs weren’t wearing sunnies, I’d be loving this look… it is though, OUT.

  • Adorable in a manic-pixie-dreamgirl sort of way.

  • IN. Why the hell not? And the shoes and pedi are cute.

  • PeaceBang

In this case, too much = too cute! Love it. I am choosing to ignore the sunglass boob situation, which I AM sure she’ll regret in 20 years.

  • rumcg66

IN. She looks absolutely adorable. She only has a few more years at best to pull it off, she might as well have fun now.

  • Cat

I love that skirt so much I have to give this an “in”…but pairing that shirt with it makes me have a sad.

  • Elizabeth Denton

    Its perfect. That’s all.

  • zelavie

Absolute IN.  Age appropriate, kinda funky, cute as can be.

  • ThaliaMenninger

    It looks like ass. OUT.

  • Imasewsure

Adorable… totally cute and IN – I love everything about this look on her – anyone older and it would look horrible though… IN IN IN

  • GTrain

    Sunglasses for boobs = OUT

  • phrenk

    Ugh, she looks adorable. IN.

  • Cousin_Rose

Love it right down to the green nails.

  • alyce1213

It’s impossible for her not to be adorable.
Nonetheless, OUT, but in a good way. Her children and grandchildren will be laughing about this.

  • jw_ny

It all just feels way too random.  I do like the individual pieces (skirt and tee) but that tee and skirt do not belong together.  The necklace competes with the sunglasses, the shoes are kind of tacky. hate the yellow clutch…other than that, she looks pretty.

  • luciaphile

OMG, that would be one giant OUT.

  • Verascity

I actually love everything but the shirt, but I really hate the shirt. OUT.

  • SorayaS

IN! It is a strange mix of items but I honestly can’t pick anything that looks bad (well, blue/green polish is not my thing)

  • Elias Pineda

she is young   INN   nd that skirt is   stunninggggggg

  • DeGuz

Adorbs!! (sorry TLo, had to say it). IN!!

  • holdmewhileimnaked

everything other than the dope dealer chain &, particularly, even the idea that her boobs need vision correction works for me. could live w/o the pencil case purse but, you know, it’s a quibble.

  • demidaemon

I feel like her boobs are staring at me. Also, the hair is a might tragic. Still, I love the skirt. But the staring boobs=OUT.

  • quiltrx

IN.  She looks really cute, looks like she’s having fun, it looks especially great from the side, and her hair looks awesome.

  • siriuslover

It’s cute, but I don’t know about the whole glasses on the boobs thing.

  • IN!  I think she looks adorable, age appropriate, and edgy.

  • RebeccaKW

In.  She is adorable.  This would look like ass on anyone over 20, but on her…too cute.  I also want to beg her to never pluck those glorious eyebrows!

  • This child is impossibly adorable.

  • I hate the “pretend my boobs are wearing eyeglasses” t-shirt. The skirt is cute and fun, and so are the shoes. And she’s so f-ing adorable I can’t stand it.

  • In. This is totally what I would wear as a teenage starlet.

  • Oh gosh, I love it. No one but a teenager could pull it off, but she is a teenager and looks cute as hell. IN.

  • IAmJ

I like this girl. She’s ballsy. IN.

  • IN! I say she looks cute!

  • Sara Hoverstad

    She’s adorable and appropriate. In.

  • LuxuryLime

Gorgeous skirt, accessorized perfectly, shoes that actually fit properly…so what if the shirt’s a bit strange? She’s an IN.

  • TieDye64

I absolutely love everything but the boob glasses. Still, an IN.

  • blue_hedonist

Super cute, but I hate the chunky gold necklace and I agree she could have done without the boob spectacles. Still, IN! She looks young and sassy!

  • nannypoo

Cute. And much better than what they did to that poor model.

  • TomBord

She’s super adorable by why’s she wearing her mama’s shoes?

  • L.

    IN! (Lose the chain, tho)

  • I like it. IN. She’s a teenager. Boob specs are acceptable, if ridiculous.

  • a_liking

I don’t even care what you say, I LOVE this. IN.

  • unbornfawn

She’s a teenager. Time to have a little fun. That window to get away with this kind of stuff is very short, enjoy it while you can. Doesn’t matter what she wears, she’ll cringe in a couple of decades anyway. IN.

  • Michael_Jones

Really cute.  Absolutely an IN for me.

  • Bozhi

Out.  Even the young have to know how to accessorize, and this was not done right.  The skirt should have been the center of this outfit, and that shirt should not even been considered as a possibility.  Those shoes and purse should never be used at the same time.  I hate the necklace.

  • Claudia Fernandes

In, she’s 15, the age to do this funny crazy things

  • This is in for me. IN

  • Sweet, chic, and fun as fuck. IN!

  • ChaquitaPhilly

Has to be IN! Let her run wild and free while she still can!

  • chelwi

In. She’s young and she looks adorable.

  • MoHub

I love a better look at the shoes on the runway model. They look great from the front!

  • Trisha26

Out. She’s 15. Sure this is a fashion event, but she looks 25. The look isn’t terrible, but although the tee is cute, it’s too casual for the skirt. I hate the necklace and shoes.

  • sweetestsith

In! She looks age appropriate, everything fits & covers the important bits without looking stuffy or 30+. The boob-glasses are awesome, and I think a simple print on the shirt gives the skirt balance.

  • StrandedFashionista

I’m not all right with the fact that she put a t-shirt over the cocktail dress. OUT

  • RedRaven617

In. The glasses on the t-shirt are ugly, but she is too freaking adorable to care.

  • guest2visits

Cute outfit, love the skirt; but the glasses ruined a good look.

  • Out. Her shirt is just too stupid.

  • Sara R

LOVE!  Remove the chunky necklace & I’m stealing this outfit.

So cute and age/venue appropriate. IN with bonus points.

  • IN

  • In. Completely adorable.

  • Werq! It’s weird and charming.

  • The glasses over her boobs are definitely weird, but the look is so fresh and young and cute I think I gotta IN it anyway.

  • In because she’s 15 and looks adorable and comfortable in it.

  • anotherkate

In, in, in! I absolutely love this on her. If I had the money, I’d wear every single thing, tomorrow. Adorable!

  • sk8tfan

Love the skirt. Would have loved the original top or plain black. The glasses t is all wrong. But since I’m wearing the exact same shade of toe polish at the moment, I cannot condemn her fashion choices.

  • Rachel Council

In. I know it’s a mishmash, but it’s an aesthetically pleasing mishmash, and there are some things you can get away with when you’re her age.

  • aristida_girl

out, only because of the t-shirt over that cute the shoes though!

  • MaryAtRealityTea

Meh – OUT. Too cluttered. Also, green toe-nail polish is gross.

  • ccm800

Out. Not a felony or anything but these two pieces compete and they are not even in the same division.

In – the boob-ectacles are weird, but there is a color story, it fits her well, and she looks comfortable.  The skirt fabric reminds me of a Kadinsky painting. She looks a hell of a lot more put together than SJP (Queen of surprising pairings) has lately. Did anyone see the coat she put over a Valentino dress at the NYC Ballet Gala?

    IN…quirky cute.

IN. I really think this actually works. (Although I don’t really like the sandals.)

  • Gener1c

    I adore this.  In.

    I adore this.  In.

  • The glasses over the girls are the turd among orange blossoms… IN (but not by much)

I think she looks fabulous, boob specs and all. IN.

I just want to know what she puts in her hair.  It’s fabulous.

  • I’m putting it “all on the line” for Miss Hailee here.  I think she looks awfully cute (notice how I didn’t say “totes adorbs”) and will not cringe in 30 years.  You keep right on right on flying that flag, Miss.

In! I love this on her!

I like the outfit, but like many fellow bitter kittens, I just can’t with the boob specs.  I’m giving her an “IN,” nevertheless..

  • I think she looks great. In.

“Is this an adorably sassy teenage melange of styles or … she’s going to cringe when she happens upon these pictures
    in 2037?”

    Both. But this year, IN.

    IN!  She looks adorable!

Okay, I am just now reading this and I have to put in my two cents worth!  My 15 year old daughter would so TOTALLY wear this, up to and including the green toenails and chunky sandals… (TOTALLY is her word not mine). I think Hailee looks absolutely adorable and just like a teenager should! Oh, and I forgot the boob glasses, that is the topper…

IN. I think she looks adorable and quirky. At her age, she can get away with this.

  • IN. That is a awesome mix of prints and textures. All the shapes work great together. She is young. Let her live!
