In or Out: Amy Adams in Giambattista Valli

Posted on September 13, 2012

Oh Miss Amy. We just don’t get it.

Amy Adams attends the premiere of ‘The Master’ in NYC in a Giambattista Valli dress paired with Brian Atwood pumps and Irit Design jewelry.

Why, honey? Why hide your light under a bushel? Or in your case, a series of frumpy frocks? Of your recent looks featured here on the site, we’d say this one is our favorite just because it’s at least somewhat interesting, but even then we can’t wholeheartedly endorse it. First, it does nothing for your coloring. Second, it does nothing for your shape.

Look, we’re not saying you should go out and vamp things up like Lea Michele. We’re not saying you should vamp things up at all, since it’s clearly not your thing. But sometimes we think you’ve fallen into the trap of thinking that avoiding dressing in an overtly sexy or showy manner means you’re stuck dressing older and far more seriously than you need to.

In other words, sweetie no one’s going to think you’re a slut or a shitty actress if they see your knees.

We will say that the hair and makeup are very pretty. But some statement jewelry would have been nice. A dress with a little more color and a little less skirt would also be nice. And it’s time to retire the Serious Pumps for a while, girl. Strap on some sandals and color! It won’t reduce your chances for an Oscar, we promise.

Are we being too hard on the poor girl?

  • Funkykatt

Her stylist works at Wal-Mart I guess.

    • Clueless_Jock

Tom and Lorenzo should become stylists! With a TV show on Bravo. And Amy Adams should be their first client.

      • Great idea! except that Amy’s in line behind Christina Hendricks, Christina Aguilera, Vanessa Hudgens, and several other celebrities whose names don’t come to mind at the moment.

        • VictoriaDiNardo

I miss “If We Were Her Gays”….It’s a public service! ( Also,  I wish they were telling ME what to wear and I live vicariously! )

          • ampg

Oh, me too!  Bring back “If We Were Her Gays,” please!  I know those posts must be a lot of work, but they were so great!

        • LambeeBaby

If they do oddball make-overs, I choose Paz Dela Huerta and Chloe Sevigny

          • NC_Meg

I look forward to the episode where they wrestle the brown lipstick away from Paz.

        • charlotte

Rashida the beautiful tropical fish! And Lea Michele of course. Pun intended.

      • Mary229

I would kill to see how Tom and Lorenzo would dress Amy.  She’s a lovely woman.  Why won’t her stylist just let her look young and beautiful?  Most women would kill to read as young as she does on screen.

      • LesYeuxHiboux

        I call intern.

  • Larkin21

Love the hair and the make-up looks good too. That is one drab, unflattering dress, though. I’ve liked a couple of her other recent looks much better than this one. OUT.

    • Yeah, I think her makeup looks awesome here. Her eyes really pop.

    • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

I agree 100%.  Hair and makeup are gorgeous.  But she’s wearing something I would wear to work (with a camisole under it), and I work in a conservative law office and I’m old enough to be Amy’s mother!  Honey, take a note (or two) from your dear uncles Tom and Lorenzo, and start dressing your age and for your figure!  Needless to say, the hair and makeup don’t redeem this outfit — OUT.

  • Isn’t it a given that Amy Adams, pretty and talented as she is, and with that beautiful red hair, is an out?  It’s like she specifically looked for a stylist whose aesthetic is “best dressed mom in the Wantaugh PTA.”

This is neither good nor bad, and if it were, in fact, on the best dressed mom in the Wantaugh PTA it would be great. She just never dresses like a star.

    • Vickiefantastico

You are so completely right! She’s so pretty and likeable, but her red carpet choices are so darned boring and, sometimes, ugly.

    • RL McGruder

Boy, you are so right.  Every time I see her I don’t think movie star – I think relatively pretty woman looking super…regular.

    • BrooklynBomber

I just saw this — Wantaugh PTA! Mr. Bomber, being of Long Island origin, pronounces Wantaugh in a way entirely in keeping with his roots, but not spellable in English letters. “Wantaw” doesn’t do it justice. For some reason I get great fun out of making him say it numerous times when we drive pass the exit on the way to his mother’s.

      • As someone else from LI, I’m curious as to how else it’s pronounced!  Haha.

        • BrooklynBomber

Well, there’s Wantaw and there’s Wawntaww. Sort of like Broadway and BroawdWAY.  I won’t even go into beauteeful!

      •  I grew up on LI but not in Wantaugh, but it’s such a great name.  It was either going to be Wantaugh, Quogue or Ronkonkoma.  I grew up in boring old Freeport.

        • BrooklynBomber

Oh, you mean Rankankumuh?  Freeport: too easy to say. It’s the Indian names where the ‘guyland accent really comes out.

          • I love listening to the guy announce the train to Ronkonkoma at Penn Station.

  • ralish

In, but barely. I’d love it if the skirt came up a few inches, the shoes were spunkier, and if she’d kicked up the jewelry a notch.

    • EveEve

The length is tragic – show off those gams lady!  14 inches higher, at least.   Otherwise:  IN

  • DaveUWSNYC

From the pudenda down, Sr. James in her modified habit…OUT.

  • OUT! (*She cackled with evil glee*). Good to see Dress Barn is still in business!

    •  Ha! Great minds. I just posted the same thing about the Dress Barn.

    • BrooklynBomber

      Dress Barn – haha!

      • HomeOfficeGirl

That’s a good one – I was thinking Sag Harbor – remember that brand??

        • Call me Bee

Oh it’s still around.  They sell it at Farm and Fleet.  (No…I am not kidding…!)

    • paginatrix

A tangent — but why on earth would any woman willingly shop at a store called “Barn”? Are we large, lumbering farm animals? For the record, I want to buy dresses from someone who thinks I’m willowy and graceful.

    • Amy Ellinger

I used to make fun of my Mom for shopping at Dress Barn, but then she went to Chico’s and it was even worse. (love you Mommy!! but seriously, stop it!)

    • NC_Meg

There is a Dress Barn down the street from me. I stopped at the Kroger it’s beside and was like, “Wait, DRESS BARN? They’re still in business?!”

  • Scarlet39

For some reason, I want to like it, but I just don’t.  The top half is just too disjointed.

    • 3boysful

Not to mention too large on her.

  • Make the cream/white black, go down a half size, take about 4 inches off the hem and she’d be in business.  I like the neckline on her.  Makeup an hair look much better.

  • schadenfreudelicious

oh my, Amy really is having a Chico’s kind of day….OUT

    • mhleta

      I love your handle, Schadenfreudelicious!

    • MoHub

Nope. Chico’s is far more stylish.

    • Le_Sigh

HA – I snorted OJ through my nose!

  • The color palette doesn’t trouble me. Its all the fit and proportion problems that are making me grind my teeth to nubbins. Sorry Amy, much as I like you, out.

  • Vickiefantastico

That is one weirdly unflattering and boring get-up. OUT.

  • kayleymaybe

Frump city.  I think she should be next in line for your “pretend stylist” posts where you pick out the clothes she SHOULD wear.  Girl needs it!

  • I like the dress, but I think this falls more under, “Girl, that’s not your dress!”  I have to go with Out.

    • Deb_Lynn

Yes! It’s not her dress. Maybe I’ve got bad taste, but I think this dress would look divine on a glam lady like Helen Mirren, Glenn Close. You know. Mature ladies. With the right shoes, this would look like a sexy dress on one of them, no?

  • BrooklynBomber

First problem is she always looks so unnatural when posing. It’s not as easy as it seems and she still hasn’t got the hang of it. Every time I see her, I wonder when, when is she going to let go of the hand-on-hip crutch?  Now I know the answer: never. The 4th picture shows what happens when she tries, and explains why someone early on forced her to learn that pose and stick with it.

    Also: OUT

  • janetjb

    You are such givers.  Out.

  • Judy_S

I vote IN because I would always give her an IN so long as she isn’t looking really bad (the makeup and hair on the brown G. V. dress came close). She looks pretty here. The dress reminds me of one I made myself in 1967 and never liked very much, though I did wear it several times because of all the work and yardage I had put into it.

  • SapphoPoet

She looks like a Desperate Housewife. This is a very aging look all around. OUT.

  • teensmom99

OUT in this case but I think it’s not necessarily wanting an Oscar that is her problem. Rather it’s that she plays young and sweet so she dresses “mature” to demonstrate versatility.  This dress, to me, looks like what the mah jong playing ladies wear.  And not to body snark, but my husband once claimed to notice that she has some weird fat deposits in her upper arms so maybe she has something she’s covering up there . . .

  • She is a fun, sweet actress. She should dress fun. She should wear chunky jewelry and have cute hair. She seems trapped in severe and ladylike.

  • petalfrog

I think I love this.. but will have to give it an out for the boring shoes, lack of jewelry, and the thickness of the black band!

  • OUT and I don’t even think the hair and makeup are all that good. She just looks frumpy and washed out and old. Which is sad, because she is none of those things.

  • OUT. I just adore Amy, she has proven herself time and time again in film.  But this nonsense has got to stop.  I really don’t think these clothes convey who she even is as a person.  I actually really like the top–but with skinny jeans and sandals, not with a pencil skirt.  She also needs a little kick to her hair color, its dull here, where it’s usually very vibrant. Maybe it’s the lighting….

  • Kyle Crawford

sigh… I think she is such a ” fun actress ” to watch. ( Julie and Julia was on a loop this past weekend on some channel and I had it on in the back ground for like two days…) She comes across as just most likable. But this is either a) a dental smock or b) the second best dressed mother at the PTA….

  • AuntieAnonny

Ooh, I really love this dress.

Maybe she’s just too short for it?

She looks good though, so: IN

    •  I agree with you, I think she needs a smaller size overall, like starting at the shoulders, and all the way down! Needs to be shorter and more fitted.

    • CozyCat

I agree that this isn’t such a bad dress–I would give her an out in the “girl this is not your dress”  sense.

I think on some “lady of a certain age”, with killer big gold accesseries this would be a good look.  The deep view would allow such a lady to be sexy, but the demure sleeves and length keep it out of “trying too hard” territory.

  • I’m giving it an IN because, well, dammit, I like it.

  • Introspective

She looks stumpy. and positively sad. total middle-aged admin assistant rather than sexy secretary (which is what I think she was aiming for?)

me thinks its time for new gays. stat.

  • Judy_J

OUT.  Hair and makeup are great, but that frumpy outfit makes me sad.

  • julnyes

Out – that dress is hiddy even though the hair and make-up are nice.

  • nannypoo

I like this dress a lot. It’s too long and it needs jewelry, and the shape of the top is not going to be particularly sexy on anyone, but when she isn’t making that lemon-sucking face shown in the first picture she looks pretty. Well, maybe she shouldn’t make that grimacing face in the fourth picture, either. Just smile, Amy, you look fine.

  • jw_ny

    Drab.  OUT!

  • BazoDee

OUT -I’ve seen ladies look better than this at church on Sunday.

  • Pants_are_a_must

    What a hideous frock. OUT.

  • jmorino08

No, you are not. Those shoes are awful and the dress is just sad on someone like her. Embrace your awesome, Amy!!!

  • christopherlally

This is a beautiful girl and a beautiful dress, just not for her. All points valid. OUT.

  • I don’t think you’re being too hard on her. She looks dumpy. The dress looks like something you’d find at Dress Barn, only it would have a little snap-on modesty vest. She needs a better bra, a necklace and a different dress.

Her hair looks great when it’s down and at least she doesn’t have it all pulled over one shoulder, which seems to be the rage right now.

  • Veronica1022

What is it with redheads and dressing badly.  Amy Adams, Christina Hendricks, Julianne Moore, Lindsay Lohan and often Emma Stone all have consistent efforts dressing themselves.  I know that Christina Hendricks and Emma Stone are not natural redheads-maybe something in the dye takes your taste away?

    • BrooklynBomber

On behalf of redheads everywhere: harrumph!

    • On behalf of redheads every where, we also no longer claim Lindsey Lohan.

      • formerlyAnon

  • zelavie

  • Vaniljekjeks

She looks great for 60!  Out.

  • Out – she needs to wear Jason Wu. His clothes would be good for her.

  • mhleta

She’s always very lady like and I find that incredibly refreshing. (Aren’t we all completely desensitized to the possibility of subtle sexiness by the parade of flesh that we’re constantly subjected to? To wit: Xtina’s obnoxious fun bags and Lea Michelle’s snatch grazing hem lines.) However, I’ll agree, she could bring some sparkle or color to the table. But yes, you’re being too hard on the poor girl. She’s not at risk and I feel there are others who more desperately need your attention.

  • fungstyle

No you’re not being too hard. She consistently looks less glamorous than I do at the office, and that’s saying something.

  • mjude

    to hell with it….IN

  • formerlyAnon

It’s not that it’s too long/modest. It’s that it’s too anonymous. (Well, and I also hate that print, but I’m trying to keep that in check.)

That neckline requires boob-tape or rigorously excellent posture to avoid an occasional view of nipples (or their covering) and yet it has NO pizzazz. AT ALL.

    Hair, makeup, ditto. NO pizzazz.

  • MoHub

It looks as if it’s about two sizes too large—at least the top does.

  • OUT! She is so gorgeous, and her jewelry is divine – but this is hideous. Where are her boobs?!?!

  • Out, ugly, ill fitting dress

  • crash1212

OUT. She baffles me as well. She’s SO pretty and cute and talented. I cannot for the life of me figure out why her obvious spark cannot translate to the clothes she wears. If she has a stylist, it needs to be fired STAT. Perhaps in your next item about La Amy, T&Lo could recommend a few good stylists for the poor dear?

  • call_me_schmeg

    OUT. frumptown, here we come…

  • lojoso

She obviously wants to look like her mum.

  • I feel like if you eliminated some fabric in the mid section, pulled the hem up, and moved the line between the leopard print and the  skirt up, it would be killer. It’s just to long overall.

  • Sharyn McHenry

Oh, no.  Looks like she ran into Kmart for the latest Jaclyn Smith number.

  • OUT.
Sadly, it appears Ms. Adams is one of those actresses that feels deeply uncomfortable on the red carpet.

  • Nope, looks like she is going to a meeting. I dress less conservatively at work.

  • Violina23

    Girl, that’s not your look….

  • OwnsHairlessCats

It is so far OUT that it’s no longer within the continguous United States.

  • ringthing

OUT, you lovely, lovely men. I wish poor Amy would realize how fabulous her hair & eyes would look in sapphire blue. She has a great figure and she’s promoting two big movies; this press tour is definitely the time to look like the movie star she is.

  • Monday1900

Man, that’s an ugly dress!  OUT!

  • Is she cooking dinner for her gal-pal Wilma?

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

Out.  The dress is much too big and long on her.

  • Anna Tree

  • Snailstsichr

I honestly thought I was looking at Meredith Viera in the thumbnail. I met Meredith once and think she is fantastic (so I kinda squeed when I saw the pic), but HOLY MOLEY AMY – Meredith could by your Mother!
And, for the record – I don’t think Amy or Meredith should wear this dress. And I love animal prints.

  • This dress would be so much more interesting with some color instead of the drab colors. I wonder if this looked better on her in person… The bottom is what kills it. Better shoes would have helped.

  • It’s a shame this look is so boring because she looks really happy and relaxed to be wearing it! Out.

  • Aly Light

  • Lauren Summers

I actually like the dress, although I think it needs to be hemmed. She looks comfortable and her hair and makeup are great. IN

  • l_c_ann

And there I thought the center prints were horizontal cross sections through a salt dome, and that made it kind of geek-neat.

Wasn’t this underdressed for an opening?  Which would make it an out.

  • EliseC

    I think she looks great.

  • marilyn

Out.  She needs to learn a good style for herself from old Jennifer Anniston pictures.  Come to think of it, they can be current.

  • sweetlilvoice

She’s out…The blouse and skirt are both tricky proportions…I’ve tried that look before and it looked like I was wearing 2 dresses. I had to change immediately. And that blouse cries out for a necklace!

Amy-I still love you though, you are adorable.

  • Hell Yes, I Would!

I thought I was crazy for liking the dress (thankfully I’m not alone).

Sure – it should be a size or four smaller (not to mention shorter) – but I think the idea behind this dress is fabulous.

  • msdamselfly

    Way out!

  • Out. I’m too bored by this dress to say more. Oh – you are lovely men. That’s obvious.

  • Hermione_Granger

Out. That looks like a sad office outfit.

  • j_anson

IN. It’s not terrible. Skirt length is all wrong, but I like the neckline.

  • MilaXX

OUT! Hair & makeup are average but that’s an ugly dress and she’s wearing boring Minnie mouse pumps.

  • Sara__B

Out. I’m in 100% agreement with T Lo’s assessment. Lighten up, beautiful lady! You can dress like this in 30 years.

  • Tatiana Luján

Mi only quibbles with this look are the hem lenght and the ugly satin pumps. I actually believe that the dress looks beautiful with  her coloring and figure. But those shoes and hem lenght, ughhh!

  • MilaXX

Meredith dresses much nicer than this. At least she’s not afraid to how her legs.

  • I like it as well. I don’t think the hem is too long; it’s the angle of the photo . Her hair and makeup look fine. The shoes are lumpen however. In.

  • Out for the dress alone.  Love her makeup & hair though.

  • MarissaLG

IN, but it looks a little office-y. Like, high-powered lady lawyer. Still very pretty.

  • In! This is her style, let’s face it.

  • I don’t hate it. In.

    • kimmeister

  • I wish there had been a runway photo of this dress, so we could see how it looked when properly fitted.  As it is, I love the hair, the makeup, and most of all her attitude!  Plus I have serious eyebrow envy–hers are perfect.  I can’t remember the last time I saw a celebrity smile in such a completely delighted way, as she is doing in the 4th photo. Sadly, the hem is WAY too long, the shoes are WAY too clunky, and it seems WAY too big, especially up top.  I’m really torn on this vote between barely IN and barely OUT, but I must reluctantly go with the latter: OUT, but barely.

And you totally need to revive “If We Were Her Gays”!!

  • Joyce VG

She looks she shopped at the Dress Barn.  Not that here is anything wrong with that.  But Amy no!  I like her but not her frock. OUT.

  • Zippypie

This is her style. And it’s frumpy. Which doesn’t go with her killer smile, but let’s face it. She’s frumpy.

    • Mary229

Except….she didn’t used to be.  She hasn’t always been the most daring with fashion but she never actually dressed frumpy.  This is sadly a new phenom.  She used to be way more willing to show off her breasts or legs and wear fitted things.  What happened?  She still looks young and pretty.   So what happened here?

  • another_laura

“It won’t reduce your chances for an Oscar, we promise.”
Oh very wise TLo, here you have hit the nail on the head.  I smell an Oscar campaign….

Just be your lovely self, Amy!  OUT.

  • Noshmek

  • Le_Sigh

Oh gurl.  You can still be considered a serious actress w/o having to dress like you’re the most-stylish mom in the suburbs ok?

OUT.  If it was 2 sizes smaller and 2 inches shorter, she might have something.

  • lovelyivy

OUT. Adds five years to her age.

  • lrhoff

I like the dress.  While it isn’t the best color for her, clearly, she looks put together.  I’d take that over Lea’s getup any day.  Give her time…..for now, I’d say she “in” for effort.

  • The easiest ‘OUT’ in the world.

  • OUUUUUT. The hemline is crazy bad.

  • golden_valley

This outfit sends a mixed message.  She kind of looks like a cougar on top and a dowager from the bottom of the deep cleavage on down to the hem.

  • PeggyOC

Out.  It’s an interesting dress, but it doesn’t fit her.  If you’re going to wear boxy lines, they have to be boxy lines that fit.

  • Jangle57

It’s not the most flattering of dresses but everytime I look at it, I just can’t dislike it enough to give her an out, so a marginal IN for me

  • bailey debruynkops

no you’re not being too hard on her. the leopard print is cute, the rest is not.

  • Mary229

I adore this woman but I would kill for her to get another stylist. The problem is that she’s a really, really pretty woman who reads extremely young on screen.  Most people have no clue she’s late 30’s.  I had no clue.  I think she dresses “serious” to compensate but I wish she wouldn’t.  She’s a lovely woman and I want her to indulge in her beauty.  Also, I miss the more vibrant red hair.

  • CatherineRhodes

This is what she’s wearing to the NYC premier of her movie? Yikes.

    Big OUT.

  • Zaftiguana

OUT. Send this one to Mary Louise.

  • I really like this. It IS simple, but it’s classy and elegant and chic. Hair and makeup are great! I’d take a couple of inches off the hem and swap out the shoes for something strappy, but she’s definitely an IN from me!

  • I realize I might be in the minority here, but I actually like this.  I’m not a huge fan of the print, nor the shoes, but I like the overall impression, so I’m saying IN.

  • OrpheoLooksBack

I mean, you can’t say that she looks bad here.  It’s nothing spectacular, but IN.

  • Michelle Campbell

  • megohd

I LOVED the thumbnail, cropped above her waist. I think if the pattern ended at the belt, with an all-black high-waisted skirt, I might really like it.

She is such a beautiful woman. A shame her stylist hates her.

  • neofashionista

IN but couldnt help thinking as I was reading this post this whole thing would be so much better on Marisa Tomei

  • Why not do some funky pants?  At any rate, Amy needs a new stylist.

  • It’s not a bad dress, just the fabric choices make it dull and frumpy. If that weird print in the middle had been a colorful print, it could’ve looked fantastic. OUT

  • TheOriginalLulu

Not being too harsh, TLo! I also suggest some brighter lipstick. That shell pink shit is doing nothing for her. She’s so beautiful; someone needs to be honest with her.

  • TieDye64

From the neck up she looks gorgeous, but that dress makes me sad. OUT.

  • She is beautiful, but the dress is a Salvation Army find: simultaneously desperate, frumpy, and too big all over.  OUT.

  • It’s nice to see her with more flattering hair and makeup, but that dress is a serious OUT. She is so freaking cute. She really needs to find herself a stylist who will get her out of these aging, boring, and sometimes flat-out ugly dresses.

  • littlemac8

Wait!!!!  Is that what you wear to a NYC movie premiere???  Seems a little casual, no???  Dress does absolutely nothing for her.  Dress itself in inoffensive and might camouflage figure flaws that Any doesn’t have!

  • frannyprof

I like the *idea* of the dress, but… out.

  • Outski.

  • OUT. She looks so matronly here. She doesn’t have to be wearing skin tight club dresses but she’s dressing so many years older than her actual age.

  • bellafigura1

Will the animal prints never stop?

  • Out. Looks very department store – even with the mega-plunge.

  • BeeBeauNYC

OUT – the dress is hiddy, but the hair and make up get a 100% IN – she looks absolutely radiant, just not in that dress!

  • GorgeousThings

OUT. That dress is pure hideosity. It all just looks so… frumpy.

  • deliadee

Out.  Hair and makeup look great but the dress does nothing for her.

  • Ugh, cougar-boobs. Who thinks that wide horizontal bands of solid color and cougar spots will look good on anyone.
It’s a craftan of the sort you’ll see on Etsy.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

Does she have any concept of what she looks like? I mean really does she suffer from body dysmorphia, or something? She so rarely lands on a color or silhouette that suits her beautiful face and figure. It’s frustrating. OUT.

  • unbornfawn

OUT. Yes, the hair and make-up look lovely. But that dress is so dowdy on her.

  • guest2visits

Yes; dress too dreary and without shape. She could find lots of pretty things to compliment her good looks!

  • I like the dress because It’s something I’d wear to work; it’s just not RC material. Hair and makeup really cute. She not so bad to give an out, but it’s not an in either. Fence sitting.

  • demidaemon

WTH? OUT. I cannot get behind that drag-esque under corset that somehow made it to the outside of the dress.

  • Her hems are always hitting below her kneecap which is a bad spot for her and this happens even when the rest of the garment looks good.  Taking up the them on that burgundy sequin dress would have been a nightmare but on a dress this simple?  Her dry cleaner can do it. Amy call me I’ll do it for free honey!

  • aristida_girl

Out, this dress is way to old for her… as usual, I agree with you lovely, lovely men 🙂

  • In.  I think she looks cute.  The hair down is a much cuter look for her than the slicked back updo.

  • LambeeBaby

Out. I think I saw this at Dress Barn.

  • quiltrx

OUT.  Though her hair and makeup look fabulous.

Send this outfit to Mary Louise…she’ll know what to do with it.

  • out!!!

  • Sweetvegan

Out. This dress looks like one of those kiddie fashion toys where you lay strips of fabric over a form to “design” a “dress.”

  • bitterk

out or OUT should have been the two options.  She aged herself 20 years in that get up.

She’s co-starring in a movie with Justin Timberlake. I have to guess that the effort it must have taken to generate chemistry with Justin Timberlake (a cute enough boy, but with HER? That casting director should never work again) depressed her so much that it’s showing in her fashion choices. Take to your bed with some chocolate, Amy. You’ll be up and alive in no time.

In  only because I like it enough to not cal it out. And I loather her style…but this is fine!  nothing earth shattering but shes certainly presentable and it’s not uninteresting. It’s just demure and a wee long.

In! Needs red shoes. i loved this dress!

  • CQAussie

    OUT 🙁
This dress is for an old Italian lady in New Jersey.

Out. JC Penney 1980s “Working Girl” Collection, minus the shoulder pads and permed poodle hair.

I think it’s a pretty dress, but I also think it belongs to someone else.  Maybe Meryl Streep.

  • Giselle was sexier than this, and that’s saying something.

    Agh! Out!

WTF was Amy Adams thinking when she bought that dress? It looks like The Most Stylish Burlap Sack Ever, tied in the middle with kittens fighting to get out on either side! And those shoes come from The Frontier Schoolmarm Collection 1892….

PS: How the Hell do I vote, anyway? Every time I click on “Out” or “In”, nothing happens…. ::Sad Cat….::

  • Actually, this is a very pretty and sophisticated design. She looks like a beautiful and demure ninja
