WERQ: Aisha Tyler in Pamella Roland

Posted on August 02, 2012

Aisha is shutting it the hell DOWN.

Aisha Tyler attends the premiere of “Total Recall” in Hollywood, California in a Pamella Roland dress.

Pamella Roland Fall 2012 Collection

We think she over-accessorized with the jewelry (one of those pieces should go; we vote for the leather cuff) and could’ve used some slightly more dramatic makeup, but this look is still gorgeous.  Snaps up, lady. You WERQ that glitter.

Daaaaaayyyyum. LOVE the dress, girl! Love you on Archer, too!!

      • Patricia Gillett

This. Daaaaaayyyum indeed. The other ladystars at this event probably hung their heads in shame when she walked by!

        • PinkLemon

She is shutting it the fuck down. FO SHO!

      • EditKitten

I LOVE ARCHER. Her work is brilliant.

      • JasmineAM

Ha, I can totally see Lana wearing this outfit.

      • kingderella

    • greyhoundgirl

Elegant.  Take off the cuff, smaller earrings.  Gorgeous.

    • Lilithcat

I vote for the necklace to go.

      • Cathy S

Me too. Keep the cuffs, get rid of the necklace.

    • RoxieRider

She looks like a sane Diana Ross

    • LesYeuxHiboux

I like the excess of cuffs, it’s a weirdly utilitarian effect. Like any bad-ass sci-fi chick should have: the air that any moment she climb into a giant robot and start wasting aliens. Even if she’s in her panties. Aisha has shut it down so thoroughly, everyone else might as well go home.

    • kittenwithaquip

A stronger lip, ditch the cuff, and maybe a different nail color (I am one of those freaks who doesn’t do bright or orangey-reds), but all in all, she is an amazing, glittering glamazon. *snaps*

    • http://twitter.com/thefashionpa Michelle McBeth

She should have taken off the necklace!

    • call_me_schmeg

      *LOVE* this.

an aside: jessica biel should take note, because she too could’ve looked hot as hell in this dress, but instead went the pink cupcake route.

      snaps up aisha!

      • http://twitter.com/spygrl1 Trish

I was going to say “Suck it, Biel!” but your way is nicer. :)

    • hughman

I would have opted for leaving off the monocle.

    • http://twitter.com/GuidosDaddy Jason M. Galloway

      San Francisco represent! Gorgeous.

    • sashaychante

      I vote the necklace off.

    • SapphoPoet

Gorgeous. I would have left off the necklace so that beautiful fabric could speak for itself.

    • Vickiefantastico

Meh. It’s okay. Guess I’m still disgruntled that Kate Beckinsale didn’t get the WERQ for her science fiction glorious-ness…

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

Who is she wearing?  The dress is a knockout, but it looks like it is pulling across the belly.  Maybe one size up?

      • Judy_J

It looks to me like the pulling across the belly is shirring in the skirt.  You can see it most clearly in the second to the last photo.

    • Judy_J

She looks fantastic.  I’d keep the leather cuff and ditch the necklace.

    • http://twitter.com/cornekopia Shawn EH

I think she did fine with the jewelry, considering how plain the dress and the necklace are. She still looks chic, not cluttered, and the jewelry looks like her own.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Clydette-Wantland/673315286 Clydette Wantland

Necklace should go.  The rest looks great.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1241487378 Lauren Lynch Fox

      Love the dress.

    • StelledelMare

See, Jessica Biel? This is how it’s done

    • Rand Ortega

      Aisha T– GODDESS!
6 Feet of Ivy League (Dartmouth) Gorgeous! 1 of the most underrated actresses in the biz! When I rule the world, I’m remaking “Cleopatra Jones” w/ her in the lead.
Check out her podcast, “Girl on Guy w/ Aisha Tyler”. http://girlonguy.libsyn.com. It’s bril & hilarious!

    • sagecreek

As much as I never want to hear about this movie again, yep, this was a WERQ.

    • http://pleasewelcomeyourjudges.com/ Brian @ PWYJudges

You better work that dress, Lana!

    • MilaXX

Loving all the lady nerds you guys have been featuring lately. She is indeed WERQing this.

      • TieDye64

YES! I too am digging the lady nerds.

    • TheOriginalLulu

Wow, it’s a simple look, but she looks so pretty. WERQ

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Julie-Chase/731391326 Julie Chase

      Danger zone. She looks great.

    • Violina23

Is the hair too severe though? Other than that, she looks amazing

    • SpcilK

This is far from a WERQ! The dress look and fits her gloriously. Her hair is too sever for this style of dress, a soft off the face look was the way to go. The make – up and accessories are fighting againts one another.

    • http://profiles.google.com/grandiva1968 e jerry powell

Oh, she let the bitches have it.  She still has no ass at all, though.

      • TieDye64

Sometimes I wish I had that problem, ha.

        • http://profiles.google.com/grandiva1968 e jerry powell

It’s actually a reference to her comedy routine; she jokes about being the only black woman in the world who has no ass at all.  I think she looks fine without it, really.  And if it makes her feel bad, she can get a drag queen friend to carve her some hips.

          • TieDye64

Okay, I was unaware of her comedy routine, so thanks for that.  I’ll have to check it out, because I think she is funny as hell.

    • http://twitter.com/katshimmers Kat Wright

Gorgeous. Stunning. Amazing. I love this!

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_3KCDEX4FOTCFHZP6WLKSOOKUVM Danielle

      Luv Huh!

    • marilyn

The dress should not have sleeves if is backless.  This is a strange dress because it is completely different on front and back.  Back is sexy, front is covered up to the neck with sleeves.  But for the skirt length and the shiny fabric, it would be a daytime dress from the front.

    • rissa42210

      I don’t get it.

    • Scarlet39

This isn’t working for me.  The dress looks lovely on her, but I hate the way it’s accessorized.

    • poggi

I am going back and forth on the lip. When she smile, it draws all the attention to her face and her lipstick seems enough. But when she’s not smiling I feel like she needs a stronger lip. Regardless, she looks great.

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

I thought the dress was a rather standard issue black sparkle number until I saw the back, which (along with the cap sleeves) immediately ups the game.  Nicely done, although I’d vote to lose the necklace and exchange the leather cuff for something like (but not exactly like) the bracelets on her right hand.

Sure would love to see FLOTUS in this!  Wouldn’t she look fab next to that nice guy in his tux who accompanies her all the time?

      • Rand Ortega

Or as I like to call him, Executive Arm Candy.

I wish I could agree but I just can’t. It’s a great dress that looks great on her, but I think she got just about everything else wrong.

    • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

I wonder if we’re ever going to see those gloves on the RC.  (She looks amazing, btw)

    • understateddiva

She looks nice, but a mock-turtleneck always looks like it came from frumpytown.

    • Pants_are_a_must

Drop the earrings, drop the cuff, and VAMP THAT MAKE UP, LADY. You are seriously WERQing a disco-fab look there.

    • frankystein123

Maybe it’s the angle, but her face is too wide for that dress.

    • TieDye64

I’m a big fan, so it pleases me to no end when she kills it fashion-wise. This chick is a total nerd and can be funny as hell, as evident in her movie reviews. Adore this dress on her, she’s definitely shutting it the hell down!

    • lrhoff

Hmmm.  She looks fine, but I wouldn’t say it was a WERQ.

    • aeg66

Necklace…bye bye. Earrings…ta ta. Bracelets…see ya. Then I’d be giving her a DAMN.

    • ChaquitaPhilly

Looks great but lose the monocle!

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=688150598 Elizabeth Siegel

      WERQ indeed!!

    • Jacqueline Wessel

I’m a jewelry girl so I love all her jewelry. This stuff is bold and matches in a good way. Yes, I like matchy stuff too and I know I’m in the minority.

    • EEKstl

      Boy I love that dress.

    • butterflysunita

    • quiltrx

I’ve always really liked her–glad to see her turning it out WERQ-style!

    • guest2visits

This dress looks great on her, she didn’t even need the necklace.
