Rashida Jones in Boy. by Band of Outsiders

Now, Rashida, remember:

Rashida Jones makes an appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ wearing a Boy. by Band of Outsiders top.

Boy. by Band of Outsiders Raglan silk dog-print dress

It’s just a job interview. Don’t be nervous. You’ll do great. Just remember to quote that bit about the Hierarchy of Needs when they ask you what your worst trait is or where you see yourself in 5 years. Also, remember to nail them down on the healthcare plan if they make an offer. Lie about your typing speed and tell them that you love nothing more than making spreadsheets in your spare time. If they ask, tell them you don’t smoke, never drink, and only eat and pee when you’re in the comfort of your home, which you only need to spend 5 to 6 hours in every day.

Good luck! Firm handshake!

We joke because we love. She looks cute, if (as you may have picked up, with our subtle allusions) a little business-like.

    Total job interview outfit.

  • ChaCha_70

I wanna be friends with the cool chick with the glasses in the background.

    • butterflysunita

      Yes, I love her glasses!

  • Sobaika

I wish I looked that cute on a job interview. I’m always a sweaty nervous messy wreck.

i think maybe she liked the print? but it wouldve looked so much pizzazzier if she had worn the whole outfit, skirt & blouse together. & different shoes. & somebody else’s jacket. she seems way too nice to criticize so perhaps just miniature pointers, pun firmly intended, would be the best way to go. or continue to go, as the case may be or, as the case, in fact, is.

  • I see tuxedo jacket, 90’s rental tuxedo cumberband extended to skirt length, sensible pumps and my dog’s doggie bed covering for a shirt. All sorts of cray cray walking in Manhattan.

  • Trisha26

Somewhere in New York there’s a guy wearing tux pants without a jacket.

  • BazoDee

Oh her make-up is horrid again today.

    •  i know, no comment on the make-up? its terrible, too much, and the lip shade clashes with everything shes wearing.

    • Yeah, the lipstick is clownish.

    • She really is in love with that color isn’t she?  But again, everything else looks cute.  Steno-pool girlish, but cute.

    • butterflysunita

She’s probably made up for camera though.

  • Maria Rosenfire

I like conceptually, but the blazer definitely reads a little business-y. I could get behind this look alone or with a cute cardigan.

Also, can we stop with the whole “wearing a blazer/jacket without sticking your arms through the sleeves” thing? Because I’m over it.

    • NDC_IPCentral

Well, it’s uncomfortably hot ‘n’ humid here in NY and environs, so I’d forgive her for not donning the sleeves; she might need the jacket inside the premises if the AC were uncomfortable for her.

  • I like the blazer and blouse, but it looks sort of bunchy where it’s tucked into the skirt.

  • For some reason I really love the 80’s Power Secretary Look on her.

  • rachel schiff

She even wrote an article about how she has always loved business wear: http://tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/08/02/workin-9-to-5/?ref=t-magazine

New hairdo, please, with no bangs. Her hair does not do bangs well.

  • These days, I’m grateful NOT to see a celebrity’s cooch, ass cheeks, or sideboob.

  • PastryGoddess

And wrinkly, I know she’s been sitting down but my goodness the top of that skirt is bad

  • RebeccaKW

I wish she would have worn the dress instead, I love that.  The shirt alone is kind of meh.  Nice of someone to offer his jacket, but seriously, if you think you might get cold, be prepared.  The bangs are terrible.

  • MilaXX

Sure it’s a little office-y but again an improvement for her. This must be baby steps day.

  • Cathy S

    She’s adorable.

  • TheOriginalLulu

You look great; you’ll get the job Rashida! If they don’t love you, they’re crazy!!

  • sweetlilvoice

At first, I thought those were guns on the shirt….but have decided they must be dogs or pigs. I like the girl in nerd glasses behind her, she looks like she would be fun to meet.

  • n a

she needs some help with her make up- she’s so naturally pretty and but it’s like make up clashes with her Ph or something- looks too bright & shiny.

  • LambeeBaby

No good. Not only is the whole outfit awful but her make-up is bad and her hair is worse. I wish she would get a stylist since she is so pretty, but she needs help.

  • sagecreek

More middle school teacher than job interview, I’d say.

  • Le_Sigh

Its like, 80 thousand degrees in NYC – and so humid you can gargle the air – how is she not shvitzing?

  • H3ff

Just a quick Good Morning America appearance before a long day in the office.

  • Kim Sheehan

Thumbs up on the Maslow advice!

  • MmmmmmmmK

I just love her.  Actual show-biz royalty and she comes off so cute and down-to-earth.  Don’t love the bangs, but the business look is kind of refreshing.  I mean, why not?  The skirt is really interesting, the print is fun, and now that her appearance is over, she’s just getting the hell out of there.  Adorable.

  • Very pretty admin.

  • funkypeanut

That skirt is a bit Michelin man.

  • Neverbuynewclothes

But nice to see someone dressed for day when it IS day, rather than for cocktails and pickup bars at 8 AM.

  • PeaceBang

If she’s going to a job interview she better fluff up those bangs.

  • BerlinerNYC

If this is office or interview wear, then most of the commenters must work in far, far fancier offices than I have ever set foot in. Are you all secretly working at Condé Nast? I think she looks cute as hell, fun, age-appropriate, and not slutty (how crazy-racy is one supposed to be on GMA?). Pairing it with the matching skirt would have resulted in a whole lot of pattern for TV.
