The thing with Kate Hudson, when you’re a bitchy fashion blogger, is that, over time and without you realizing it, you develop an attitude towards her; an attitude that can only be summed up as, “Okay, fine, Kate Hudson. What? What do you want?” We have a feeling every bitchy red carpet commenter has this attitude about some celebrity and for us it’s Kate Hudson. It’s like this: she never wears anything we feel like commenting on. Ever. Until, over time, it becomes a struggle to even form sentences about her. She’s just kind of … there. And to bitchy fashion bloggers, “just kind of … there” is the death of funny.
So when these pictures crossed our paths, we sighed and said, “Fine, Kate Hudson. We’ll look at your dress. Whatever.”

Well DAMN, girl. It’s colorless, but you can’t say it’s boring. And Miss Kate clearly wanted the world to know that undergarments were off the table for the night. As attention-seeking dresses go, it’s getting the job done (although it would have more impact if it wasn’t skin-colored). We honestly don’t mind a good “look at me, I’m not wearing panties” dress when it’s done well and worn at the appropriate venue. And if the Venice Film Festival isn’t the appropriate venue for a slinky, panty-free gown, we don’t know what is.
We think this all works pretty well. Like we said, we’d like it a whole hell of a lot more if there was some contrast and color involved, but for Kate Hudson, who never truly mastered high-impact dressing, this is a pretty damn good step in the right direction. It helps that hair, makeup, and jewelry are all perfect and the shoes are gorgeous, even if they’re terribly matchy.
IN! Sex and glamour, bitches! Suck it!
OUT! Vulgar and trashy, bitches! Face it!
Poor Eva Longoria has been waiting over a week to find out what you all thought of her dress. You all mostly hated it, voting it OUT.
