PR: Judging the Judges

Posted on July 20, 2012

It’s time once again to turn the tables on the judges. As always, Kors remains not worth including in the discussion. We love the Duchess but his uniform is boring.

Unlike red carpet outfits, the judges on Project Runway have to consider (or at least, should consider) how the outfit is going to look while seated in outrageously uncomfortable director’s chairs for hours at a time. Heidi recently admitted to some moments of embarrassment over the years when she realized some of her dresses were too short for sitting down, for instance. And Nina has a smart tendency to wear things with a lot of interest near her face, since that is how she will be framed for most of each episode. Shoes have a lot of focus as well, since they’re sitting in high chairs with their legs crossed. There are always certain shots of the panel where the ladies’ shoes are center stage.

With all that in mind, we think all four of the lady judges did an impressive job this time around. Even Pat Field. No, really.

Heidi Klum in Thomas Wylde

Charlotte Olympia Lorelei Laser-Cut Suede Pumps

It’s a great color for her. The bodice is interesting and beautifully rendered. Her shoes are gorgeous. The chunky chain necklace works with it. She learned not to go too short, but unfortunately, she’s still in love with tight and shiny. And this dress has too much of both.

Score: 3/5

Lauren Graham in Michael Kors

Michael Kors Zebra Print Jersey Halter Dress

Michael Kors Triple Buckle Sandals

This looked better standing up than sitting down, but it’s a good choice in any case. It’s striking and it flatters her shape and coloring. It ensures that your eye goes to her. It’s not as showy as Heidi’s or Nina’s looks, and it’s not as unusual as Pat’s, but it gets the job done. Love the sandals and the cocktail ring.

Score: 4/5

Patricia Field

Patricia Field Aztec Side Wedge

Believe it or not, we have a great appreciation of this look. There are times when we’ve looked at Pat Field and literally cringed. We’re all for people expressing themselves through personal style, but sometimes she dresses to looks flat-out odd or aggressively unattractive. Betsey Johnson always did this kind of schtick better.

But y’know? We really like this on her. We’ll never love the dropped crotch, but this looks unique and cool, and kind of flattering to her. She’s Pat Field. We’d never expect her to show up looking like Anna Wintour, after all. Plus the shoes are fun. And her hair looks cute (which is not something we thought we’d ever say about Pat Field).

Score: 4/5

Nina Garcia in Dolce&Gabbana

Dolce&Gabbana Spring 2012 Collection

Jimmy Choo ‘Fiery’ Platform Sandal

As always, the fashion editor is the one to beat. We may have some issues with the party fringe around the hem, but this dress looked amazing on camera. You really couldn’t take your eyes off it. We’re not entirely sold on the shoes, but there’s really no question who won this week.

Score: 4.5/5

WINNER, ROUND ONE: Nina

Heidi”s dress is so tight you can see her belly button

      • MK03

It’s so tight you can see EVERYTHING.

        • http://profile.yahoo.com/FEP56YB4DUIXBWSLIMSSSGQHWY jimmack

…like the good china. Nice Catholic boys like me had to turn their heads away.

      • TheOriginalLulu

Honestly. Not only her belly-button, but the region directly beneath is very clearly outlined.
She would have looked a thousand times better had she just gone up a size.

        • Hyunju Lee

Yep, I noticed and cringed repeatedly last night. YIKES!

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2CNDPMVO4W23R5TVC2QMTJ5BZE Heather

I know, but this means she ISN’T wearing Spanx with this thing, which makes me deeply envious.

          • Spicytomato1

I hear you. My husband was in LA recently on business and she was at the same restaurant at a nearby table. He said she was so unbelievably “smoking hot” in real life compared to what he’d seen of her on TV up until then. Envious indeed.

            • formerlyAnon

I’ve always suspected that (unlike a lot of t.v./print celebs) she’s as good or better in life, because so much of her beauty is in the bones. All it takes to be awesome in that case is paying attention to your skin, which she obviously does.

        • Introspective

and had she only taken a pic of herself in it to see that it was so airtight it was giving her a belly protrusion she would have sized up as you noted.

but then again this is heidi we’re talking about. maybe not.

      • Spicytomato1

        I know, I was appalled.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Amber-Laine-McGeath/514792115 Amber-Laine McGeath

This is exactly what I was intending to comment! Heidi Klum isnt supposed to look pudgy in anything! Too tight!

        • marishka1

Exactly! The woman isn’t a stick, but neither is she pudgy. This was a bad, bad dress for her. But sitting down, filmed from the waist up, the green looked fabulous on her.

      • Judy_S

And so shiny your can see your face reflected in her belly.

      • SignLadyB

Yeah, this is at least the second time recently she has dressed to show her belly button. Remember Seinfeld?? Hellooooo, there. Not an attractive sight although I do love the emerald green!

      • adnama79

Belly button through dress is always distracting…

    • Anathema_Device

I have coveted that Dolce & Gabbana gown since I first laid eyes on it! Nina rocked it.

I would ding Heidi half a point for the necklace. I don’t like that it covered the black edging on the neckline. That detail would have emphasized the sharpness of the dress and framed her face better.

      • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

That DG dress brings out the inner bling lover in anyone. Like TLo, I’m not sold on the fringe, but otherwise? Hells to the yeah! As for la Klum, I love the color, but chicky really needs to step away from the tight and shiny a bit.

        • https://twitter.com/Gayer_Than_Thou Gayer Than Thou

Nina’s shoes are a misstep, I think.  Not sure what I would have done, but definitely not those.

          • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Any kind of solid color pump in a jewel tone would have worked.

          • Spicytomato1

The shoes on the model are beautiful! Those would’ve worked.

            • Snailstsichr

I loved the shoes on the model. but I can’t see them on Nina. A little too “over the Rainbow” I think.

          • librarygrrl64

Seems like she defers to those shoes (or ones very similar) quite a bit.

        • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

Totally agree. It would have been better as a top with a skirt because the bodice was gorgeous but the rest? Honey, no. I don’t need to know if you’ve had a Brazilian this week or not.

          • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

From across a room, in the dark. It was that

        • CozyCat

The dress–fringe and all–also wins in the “appropriateness” category.  It was their big anniversary celebration in Times Square with cheering crowds, etc.  A real “party” dress was definitely called for, and Nina delivered.

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2CNDPMVO4W23R5TVC2QMTJ5BZE Heather

The dress is cute, but the fringe reminds me of a New Year’s Eve decorative banner.

          • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Kinda makes it more appropriate for an evening event in Times Square, no? (grinning slyly)

            • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2CNDPMVO4W23R5TVC2QMTJ5BZE Heather

Do you mean Times Square in the good old days, or today’s Time Square?

            • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

I was thinking mostly of how TS, even now is a go to place for New Tork’s celebrations.

      • AudreysMom

Hmmmm why am I getting Disney Character challenge on RuPaul’s drag race for Nina’s dress? It just screams Glitter Pocahontas to me.

      • Introspective

that fringe takes the dress into pinata territory. but still she cuts a beautiful figure, and the rest of the dress has such lovely detailing, so as usual nina ftw.

        • Anathema_Device

Yeah, the fringe looks a bit much. I do have to say, I once had a party dress that had a beaded hem. (The beads weren’t quite as numerous or as long as these.) I am usually NOT  a flashy, over-the-top fashion person. Anyway, I had planned to removed them before attending an event, but didn’t get around to it. Glad I didn’t. They were fun! Especially when moving around and dancing. I got a ridiculous number of compliments on my dress. Someone wearing a dress like that is probably having a good time.

          • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2CNDPMVO4W23R5TVC2QMTJ5BZE Heather

I couldn’t wear something like that – my cat would attack me! :-)

    • http://heartprintandstyle.blogspot.com Vivi N

Heidi’s dress is way too damn tight. For someone so slim, it’s amazing that the dress makes her have a slight pudge.

I’m still confused as to why Lauren Graham was a judge. Anywho, she looks good. This would be a good time to mention that everybody needs to watch “Parenthood” on NBC. Fantastic show!

Nina’s dress looks much better on the model. Also, a color shoe would’ve been nice. She looks good, too.

I have no comment for Patricia Fields. Actually, I take that back. I like her hair color.

      • librarygrrl64

A “Like” for this AND for Parenthood! :-)

    • http://janeaustensworld.wordpress.com/ Vic

Heidi’s dress shows her belly button and panty lines. There’s also a definite belly bulge.  2/5

      • http://visceralresponse.com Dina dV

If only she had pantylines.  That dress was so tight it was vulgar.

        • gsk241

I agree.  Heidi Klum’s mons veneris wasn’t on the list of things I wanted to look at this morning.  Blech.  Also, the dress looks like it was made out of some cheap, shiny faux satin.  Nice color on her, though.

          • http://visceralresponse.com Dina dV

That photo is tasteful compared to the moment we got in the episode of her standing with a straight back.  She looked like she was ready to be sous vided.

    • janetjb

Nina always looks good especially last night.
      Heidi looked lovely sitting down.
Lauren picked a very flattering Michael Kors dress.
Patricia looked…okay, which is a compliment, sorta.

      • Spicytomato1

Do you think guest judges pick Kors dresses out of fear?

        • Snailstsichr

I assumed she got the clothing as a gift for being a judge. maybe?

    • understateddiva

Pat Field looks cute!  I didn’t know she had a shoe line.

    • BarniClaw

I wish the judges–or Heidi at least–would wear clothes designed by past PR peeps.

    • mommyca

I still can’t get over Heidi’s belly button sticking out (as well as a lower part of her anatomy)… I mean, no mirrors in Frau Klum’s house?

    • sagecreek

      Love those Pat Field shoes!

You were kinder to Nina than I would have been, unks.

    • mjude

loved nina’s look.  had no clue who lauren graham was until i read Vivi N’s comment.  thanks!  she was a very boring judge.

    • Judy_J

Nina, fo sho’.  She’s way ahead of the pack.  Heidi looks like a bratwurst in a casing that’s a wee bit too tight.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QFW22QV426LUOEPGASPZJWJMDE MishaFoomin

I hardly saw Nina’s face during the episode because I kept staring at the shiny and colorful sparkly things on her dress. Did she do any of her usual La Nina faces? I have no idea. :P

      • Spicytomato1

She got a couple zingers in to the bottom three. A couple “sads” and I can’t remember what else but she was pretty pointed in her dislike.

    • pookiesmom

I’m sorry, but Pat Field looks like she stole her brother’s tattered gym clothes to go for a run.

    • MilaXX

Agree with the score, especially Pat Field.  I really liked her hair and want those shoes pronto.

      • minnye

I’d wear the heck out of those shoes!

    • LinXGUA

Patricia Field is dressed like a teenager. Said that, I want to wear her look; i love those aladdin shorts, the glasses, shoes, necklaces, EVERYTHING.

    • onyxkatze

Is that… a mesh tuxedo stripe, Heidi?
Not sure how to get over the sheer power of bad decisions there.

      • tereliz

        Pun intended? ;)

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_5KDTLDJA7ZBCPDP6HV4FZMJDII Indigo

Nina Garcia looks like she covered herself in glue and ran amok in a craft store.

      • Scoobydrew

… and I think that is why I like it! It’s like she rolled all over the floor at the Hobby Lobby.

        • http://twitter.com/yankeefoxtrot Alex McGeagh

I always like the expression “rolled around in glue and then jumped into a whore’s sewing basket”! :P

          • Scoobydrew

I so want to steal a whore’s sewing basket now … mine seems so dull!

    • http://twitter.com/mirrormirrorxx Paola Thomas

Are those sheer panels on the sides of Heidi’s dress? If so those aren’t panty lines we’re seeing. My tacky-o-meter just exploded.

      • PinkLemon

         indeed. i can’t with the side panels. i can’t.

    • NDC_IPCentral

Nina, indeed, won on appearance, projectability and taste.  I’d put Ms. Graham 2nd, tasteful, becoming, and the shoe was smart.

Ms. Field – that actually looked like she was trying too hard, and to my jaundiced crab-patch eye, she looked silly.  The clothes – not the glasses, hair or shoes, all of which I applaud.

Frau Klum – an embarrassment.  She needs a virtual mother standing at her door, giving her a gimlet eye and asking in a no-nonsense tone, “You think you’re going out in THAT?  Think again, young(ish) lady.”

    • http://twitter.com/Glam_Dixie Glam Dixie

All I could think about was now uncomfortable it must be to sit on all of those jewels for hours at a time. Nina’s butt and the backs of her legs were probably killing her but she never let it show on her face.

    • mom2ab

Heidi’s dress looks better sitting down than standing up and Nina must have a butt of steel to sit on all those stones for hours on end.

    • http://frederickvegetarian.wordpress.com sixgables

I kept staring at Nina’s dress, wondering how something covered in fake jewels could pull off looking expensive.  I didn’t LIKE it, but it looked expensive.  But HOW?

    • Jessi03

      Nina Garcia shutting it DOWN!

    • jmorino08

Where have we seen Nina’s dress before? Did she wear it or someone else? I kind of feel like it was her, maybe during Fashion Week?

Also, I disagree about Pat Field’s hair. That’s a do for a 20-something starlet not for someone her age. She looks ridiculous!

      • alyce1213

Patricia Field is one of those people who is ageless, trendless, beyond pedestrian concerns about looking a certain way.  I’m usually a stickler for age-appropriateness, but she can wear her hair however she likes and be herself – she’s one of a kind.

      • Wellworn

To me, it looks like she’s rocking a Ruth Gordon bohemian look.  Check out Harold and Maude and see what I mean.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Laurie-S-Neilsen/775114982 Laurie S. Neilsen

I agree with you about Pat Field. That hair color does not belong on someone her age. It just makes her look older, and desperate. There’s something to be said for aging gracefully, instead of fighting it tooth and nail. If her hair color actually occurred in nature, she could almost be forgiven for holding onto it with a bulldog’s tenacity. This, this is just sad.

    • Kyle Crawford

STOP . Yes, creating Carrie Bradshaw changed the universe, but Patricia Field looks homeless…….

      • alyce1213

With all due respect, she did not create Carrie Bradshaw, she clothed her.

        • Kyle Crawford

with all due respect, whats the difference?

          • http://www.GiftedCollector.com Nancy Abrams

Ask Candace Bushnell. I’m sure she’ll be able to explain it to you.

            • alyce1213

              Exactly.  Thanks.

          • alyce1213

I meant with all due respect to Patricia Field.
            Big difference. Google Candace Bushnell.

    • Lilithcat

Patricia Field and Alicia Hardesty clearly share an aesthetic.

    • PinkLemon

must…have…nina’s…dress!!!!! that entire collection was gorge. and yes, the shoes were totally wrong. but i kind of want patty’s shoes…….i dunno if i can fully get on board with the 90’s type platform, but like my mom always says about fashion i’m unsure of, ‘YOU’LL BE WEARIN’ ‘EM WITHIN A YEAR.’

    • msdamselfly

Nina needs a new hair style and some lip color

    • francesk

I love Lauren Graham, but I thought her dress made her look like a linebacker — so much shoulders.

      • LuluinLaLa

Agreed. At least sitting down, I felt that dress didn’t do her any favors.

    • Dan_In_NYC

La Nina forever.  I didn’t notice the sheer panels on Heidi at first, but no me gusta!  Lorelai looks pretty good to me, and Pat Fields = crazy.  It really would be fun if the Duchess participated in the fashion conversation with his own ensembles… bleh.

    • Joe J

Looking at Nina, I have a sudden craving for something frosted and loaded with rainbow sprinkles.  That’s not a bad thing.

      • sagecreek

        Funfetti!

    • http://twitter.com/arodenha Alli

I thought Pat was SJP from the first shot. Wow.

And I wish Lauren had worn her hair up so you could see that gorgeous neckline a little better!

      • librarygrrl64

LG rarely wears her hair up. She did it a few times on Gilmore Girls, but I’ve never seen her do it for public appearances. She’s a gorgeous woman, but she has broad shoulders and a short neck for someone of her height, so my thinking is that she wears her hair down so often because the vertical lines of shoulder-length and/or long hair give the illusion of a longer neck (by hiding where her neck actually meets her torso) and breaks up the line of her shoulders. I have the same issues, and that’s why I do it, anyway. ;-) She’s slender, but she’s still an apple, bordering on boyish.

    • BrooklynBomber

God, Nina looked fabulous. Heidi’s & LG’s dresses were hideous. Pat Field takes 2nd place.

    • http://Www.thebluepeony.com/ The Blue Peony

I loved Nina’s dress on camera. The fringe I think detracts from it but you couldn’t really see that at all on the show – she looked fabulous.

    • minnye

Heidi is tacky as hell, but I kind of love that she is ok with showing her belly pooch.

    • EverybodysStarling

Pat Fields’ shoes are fun – and even more so if I think of how some of the judges (was it even herself?) called Beatrice’s cape “Atztec ugly”.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Amber-Laine-McGeath/514792115 Amber-Laine McGeath

      Hahaha!

    • Lattis

Heidi in a dress so shiny and tight it gives her camel toe. I can’t help it, I have a lump in my throat. It’s just so good to have Project Runway back in my life.

    • http://twitter.com/HotMessHousWife Sammi M

Yes, La Nina for the win. Agreed. Couldn’t stop staring at the sparklies during judging last night.

The problem with Heidi’s is that it’d easily be a 4/5 if it was one size up. It’s so tight that it makes her look “fatter” than she is. It’s unflatteringly tight. The next size up, with maybe a little tailoring if it’s somehow too big, so that it skims her body would’ve made her look incredible. Such a shame.

      • Monabel

I suspect she needs two sizes up & tailoring. One would only be less floridly too tight.

    • TVKimmy

I would damn near pay money to see Nina wear her hair any other way. Her hair has become as boring as the Dutchess’s uniform. I still ADORE Nina, but YAWN!

    • marilyn

Nina’s dress is the wrong color for her.  She should not wear beige.  It does nothing for her skintone.  The shape is not good for her.  It makes her look flat on the top and hippy.  It gives her a child’s body..  The fringe makes it look like a neon Indian costume (I mean American Indian).  Where is Roy Rogers?  This is a direct contrast to her personality, which is very dictatorial, very dour, and totally covered, from neck to knee.  Yikes.

Patricia looks like someone’s crazy granny at the beach.  Where is her cigarette and beer?

    • http://profiles.google.com/xelad007 C Deal

I could have lived my entire life happily with out seeing the outline of Heidi’s bellybutton and ladybits! Eeeewwww!

    • http://profiles.google.com/grandiva1968 e jerry powell

Now see, I’m one of those idiots who still confuses Patricia Field with Betsey Johnson.  Crazy white women all look the same to me.

      • http://profiles.google.com/shannonlstewart Shannon Stewart

I look nothing at all like either…

        • formerlyAnon

           Hahahah!

        • http://profiles.google.com/grandiva1968 e jerry powell

Perhaps not.  I bet you look like this.  The snake accents the contagious crazy that comes from being around Tyra Banks.

    • guest2visits

I’m sorry – Heidi’s dress was just so tight it distracted from the great color and the nice design, and if those are nudie panels
on the sides – ugh.   I really loved Nina’s dress ( in spite of the fact I’m not so crazy about Nina. Her judging-panel voice and
attitude make me think she is always fending off the aroma of stinky cheese wafting off the contestants and their designs).
I liked Lauren Graham’s choice.  I can’t go along with Patricia Fields though. If she had a beer in one hand, work boots, a hard hat,
and adjusting her crotch with the other; then she’d have the exact same fashion sense as the guys working on the street repair.

    • formerlyAnon

Your scores are perfect (since they agree with my own opinions.)

Since it’s been so often discussed, my take on Patricia Fields:

Patricia Field *understands* style very, very well whether one likes hers or not.

She’s always had one of those “I’m taking a step sideways off the playing field” styles, which is very smart for someone in her field, I think. You can’t ever compete with the people you dress – it’s not your job to look amazing, but to make THEM look amazing – and you didn’t get where  you are because of your pretty-person genes or your fantastic surgery.

Lots of designers/stylists/fashion & media behind-the-scenes people do the same thing, but it’s more typical to do it the way Kors does – adopt a neutral uniform in one or two signature colors. Accomplishes the same thing, but it’s much easier.

People like Nina Garcia or Joe Zee who manage to dress well AND swim in the mainstream of fashion are doing something completely different with their personal style than Field & Kors.

      • Lattis

“you didn’t get where you are because of your pretty-person genes or your fantastic surgery.”

        that’s brilliant FormerlyAnon.

      • guest2visits

        After reading your post – I had to find out about Patricia Fields; who I judged so harshly, based on the outfit alone;
and who I didn’t have a clue about. But then, (and this will get me black listed for sure); I was never a fan of SitC,
or, unfortunately – Carrie’s wardrobe.  But it doesn’t mean I don’t have a new appreciation of Miss Field’s large and varied
experience and background. No doubts about her passion or commitment for the world of fashion and design.

I hope this gives me a slight reprieve; I don’t really wish to offend fellow BKs with my indiscriminate snarkyness.

        • formerlyAnon

Indiscriminate snarkyness is what we’re all about!

You’re not the only one who didn’t find out about Patricia Fields by watching SitC, I think I’ve seen parts of maybe 7 or 8 episodes – never an entire one – which is why I never have any real opinions about it, though I’ve seen plenty of stills showing the clothes. (Certain t.v. shows completely escaped me for years if they coincided with conflicting educational or child rearing schedules – some, like Seinfield, I’ve caught up on and others, like SitC, I never have.)

    • nancylee61

Love Nina’s dress. That is all.

    • Kristin McNamara

I really don’t like how Heidi’s dress gave her such bad uni-boob!

    • siriuslover

Nina looks gorgeous. And I don’t care how sexy Heidi is, I don’t need to see belly button indentation.

    • CarolinLA

Nina’s worn that dress before I think.  Not on the show but for an event maybe?

    • Wellworn

Heidi needs a “tuck in” lesson from Ru-Paul.  Or go up a size.

    • spooki C

Nina looked like an exploded pinata.  :|

Heido: way too tight. Needs a bra. Field: leave carries necklaces home.

    • rorschach1992

Heidi: 4/5; yes it might be too tight, but its rather striking and suits her very well. Great shoes and necklace.
Lauren: 4/5; Striking but understated, well accessorized.
Patricia: 3/5: Definitely a look, I’m not as crazy about it, however it definitely suits her and yes the shoes are fab, I like the braid.
Nina: 4/5: Its quite striking up until that very unfortunate fringe, which makes it look very bottom heavy, the grandma bandage shoes were a big misstep. It did look nice on the TV though.

Heidi, Lauren and Nina tie with Patricia just a cut below.

Oh please – it looks like Nina had Josh the Drama Vortex bedazzle something for her. Hate.

    • DeTrop

Seriously, Nina?  No.  It looks better on the model because she’s in motion and dare I say slimmer.  Beadwork, while pretty, is not always flattering.
      P.S.  Your posture needs work.

I can’t believe Jimmy Choo calls that shoe “Fiery”.  Is the name meant ironically?

Nina and Pat Field are fabulous. Heidi–see the seams straining? See the outline of her pubic bone? Her belly button? Her….good china? Tight satin-such an amateur mistake. Why, Heidi?

Did anyone else notice that the side panels on Heidi’s dress were actually SHEER? No wonder you can see the good china, there was NOTHING on underneath it.

I’m sorry, Patricia Fields looks ridiculous, and T. Lo, I can’t believe you guys have anything kind to say about this look!

I literally screamed when I saw La Nina wearing the D&G I’ve been obsessed with since I first saw it here months ago.  She is a goddess.

Nina always looks lovely and classy. Heidi is more hit-and-miss. I know Michael has his signature look, but I do wish he would mix it up or try a new look that is more flattering.

Love, love, LOVE the dress Nina is wearing. I’d prefer the black one for real life, but this one works better on camera (as an editor would know).

Heidi’s dress, on the other hand, is doing her no favors. When you see her in person you realize that photographs do no do her justice, but as gorgeous as she is, she is having a tough time with aging (and it’s only going to get worse).

      Yikers!
Heidi  – shiny happy sausage casing…..whoa lady. Ms Kors – Exciting new shades of black or clay – or both. I’m so speechless I can’t decide. Nina – Something’s a little ill-fitting about that dress and seems a tad over-done for the ocaaze. But I’m  left wondering if  those big plastic gawbles might be a leave’n an imprint on her tooouch?….and i’ma  tink’n too that the dress bodice might be much better matched w/ some killer jean and heel. Lauren – Nordsnore. Did she just come from the mall? Patty Fields – i love it when stylist are too cool to even try…..or spend hours making it look like that……

heidi:  if you look in the mirror and you can see your belly button and your pubic mound clearly through your dress, it’s too tight.
      just sayin’…

I thought Nina looked a little chunky standing up, but looked great once she sat down. I think I remember her saying she never wears a bra, but she might want to consider it.

Heidi needs an serious underwear consultation if she’s going to wear stuff like that. She’s had four kids, bless her, so she might want to be a little less, um, ambitious when she gets dressed.

      How does Heidi breathe?

Love the post! Don’t forget to file it under Project Runway! I came here and clicked on all the Project Runway posts to get caught up and this one didn’t come up.  I don’t want to miss stuff on TLo!

I loath NGs bedazzled Pocahontas dress.

Why doesn’t Heidi take a lesson from Nina?
