Kenzo Resort 2013 Accessories

Posted on July 10, 2012

Darlings, let’s all sit down and have a very serious conversation about accessories.

To hell with that. It’s too hot and besides, accessories convos always turn out to be quite binary: “I would wear that” vs. “I would not wear that.”

These Kenzo accessories caught our eye because flat sandals are trendy right now and we think some of these are cute as hell (although we’re not too sure about the puffy straps). And if you don’t want to go the flats route, there are sturdy, chunky heels for the gal who likes flexing her calf muscles for hours at a time. And while the animal print clutches are kind of standard, the one with the tiger letters is so cute it momentarily makes us wish men carried clutches. So get to imaginary-shopping ladies, and tell us which ones you’d wear and which ones you’d run screaming from.

I love chunky heels! They’re the only way I can walk without the guarantee of tipping over. Wish mine looked as good as the Nairobi sandal though.

    • Chunky heels are good for those of us who aren’t super coordinated. Being able to walk without thinking about it is always

      • I can fall off flats, ergo I do not where heels so as to avoid major injuries.

        • TieDye64

Amen sister, I’m with you. I used to wear heels all the time, now just thinking about it turns my ankles.

  • butterflysunita

I’m glad to hear flat sandals are trendy because I love flats–I’m tall and also walk a lot in my average day.  I like the first “Poppy” sandal.  And the pouches are kind of fun for summer.
I stared at the tiger pouch for a few seconds to read the letters.  Kenzo, I guess.

  • Love the first 3 pair.  The rest are Meh.

  • formerlyAnon

The tiger letters are cute. But I wouldn’t carry any of the clutches. The last two are extremely hideous in my eyes, but their hideousness is eclipsed, IMO, by the orange & green faux animal print tassel flat.

I’d wear any of the other shoes, not in love with any of them, mind, but if the plastic-looking material of which the straps are made isn’t uncomfortable they are all cute enough.

Chunky heels are good for those of us who aren’t super coordinated. Being able to walk without thinking about it is always practical.

  • Call me Bee

    Really cute stuff.
But, ooops.  Seems some of the labels are transposed.
Even so–love the sandal with the tree-branch straps.  I could even wear that!  Also like the pouches–especially the neon yellow. But they don’t seem very useful–too big for a wallet, too small for a bag. Just nice to look at, I guess.

    • MilaXX

I think its just the Humberto sandal and the tassel flat. Everything else appears in order.

    • Sobaika

I have similar pouches, they’re useful for a grab and go. Jut enough space for keys, phone, and cash. I want the tiger letters STAT.

  • A man that carried that Tiger clutch would probably be super cute

  • Lilithcat

I want that Jungle Tiger letters pouch right now!  It’s adorable.  I am frightfully tempted to splurge.

    • PinkLemon

right?? it’s so cute it killz.

  • LongTall_Sally

I am excited for flats and chunky heels to be trendy since that is what I wear all the time anyway, but none of these shoes or bags are especially covetable.

  • quiltrx

I like the sandals with the ‘thorns’.

  • newleaf1

I love all the sandals but not the clutches.  Could just be me – not a fan of the clutch bag, I need my hands so I want a strap.

  • MilaXX

I like all except for the 1st Humbero sandal and the yelloe clutch (which looks a kiddie)

  • I actually love ALL of the shoes, but we can we please (for the love of everything good and holy) get over the animal prints?  I’m sick to death of them…especially zebra, which is what every minivan-driving bleach-blonde mom in my town wears, paired with the big, chunky faux-turquoise jewelry and hair teased to within an inch of it’s life to hide the Bump-It.

    • aristida_girl

Hahaha! I can picture that so well, the bump-it and giant fake jewelry, here in AZ that is all you need for a night out 🙂 I dare say that zebra and other animal prints will be around for a while though…

  • kimmeister

I like the very last pair of sandals, and the first two clutches.

  • crash1212

Well, this is unprecedented….I hate them all. Every last one of them. Look like puffy worms of many colors wrapping themselves around my feets – and some with stabby fins. Which, I guess, means I wouldn’t wear any of them. Only thing I would get close to sportin’ is that adorable tiger print clutch – and I’m not a clutch sort of person.

  • That first pair of flats is for ME ME ME!

  • PeaceBang

    I don’t like anything. Blech.

  • jmorino08

OOoooo! I really like those twiggy sandals! A pair in each color please!

  • PinkLemon

those coral reef sandals are so freaking genius, why did no one think of that before??? J’ADORE.

  • Would run from the flat sandal with the covered heal….they will make a healthy Irish foot look (even) bigger!  Love the wristlets….

    • Anathema_Device

I love the covered heel. It is just the ticket when my heels look like crap, but I still want to wear a sandal. Never thought about how it makes my “healthy” (love that phrase) size 10s look.

  • granddelusion

Love the flats. I also think men should carry clutches if they want to.

  • Anathema_Device

I’d wear all of the shoes, if my feet would allow me to wear heels more often. The purses are a little ’80s for me, but are certainly cute. Having fully indulged in bright animal print the first-go round, I’ll leave it to the younger set.

  • Totally want the Jungle Tiger Letters Pouch so that I can use it to hold all the stuff that usually floats around in the bottom of my handbag. And I love the flats but I’m not crazy about those heels; chunky heels aren’t my thing.

  • j_anson

I would not wear that! Except maybe the Tao sandals.

  • alyce1213

I love all the sandals (flats and heels) and would wear any of them. My feet were genetically blessed (thanks Mom) so I still can at my advanced age. The heels might be a challenge – I’ll just have to try them on (snort).
The bags and the ballet flats not so much – for one, too youthful for me and I don’t generally wear any animals prints.

  • MoHub

    I want all the flats

  • aristida_girl

Love the coral sandals, and so glad chunky is in b/c I just bought some vintage chunkies in tortise shell for that next girls night out (can’t wait!)

  • I don’t particularly like any of them. Those puffy straps seem very old-lady-ish and the clutches…meh.

  • Um, I will take all the shoes kthxbye. Oh, also throw in the tiger letters clutch mmk?

  • guest2visits

I like the Tao sandals the tiniest bit; strongly dislike all the rest.

  • Alexis Keller

The Poppy sandal must be MINE!

  • TieDye64

I’m seriously digging the “thorn” sandals and the Nairobi heels.

  • no, yes, yes, yes, no, yes, no, yes, yes.

  • I’ll be that 3-dimensional instep would drive you crazy after a while.  Still, very cute.

  • I would wear every single pair of those shoes to death. They are so, usable (is that a bad word?). Seriously though they are fun and pretty and look comfortable and chic. I love them. And I love the cute bags too.
