Anne Hathaway in Dolce&Gabbana

Posted on July 25, 2012

Oh, Annie. Don’t be mad at us. You know what we said was right. Just look at what you’re wearing. You just don’t want to admit it.

Anne Hathaway seen at BBC Radio One in London in a Dolce&Gabbana crop tweed jacket paired with Stella McCartney shoes.

Dolce&Gabbana Crop Tweed Jacket

Stella McCartney Rubber-Wedge Faux Croc Pump

You see, having hit the wall on her twee bullshit, we informed Anne that she was to stop attempting to be Michelle Williams immediately. In the fantasy in our heads that has Anne Hathaway hanging on to our every words, she immediately set about changing her wardrobe for upcoming events, lest T Lo should become upset with her again. Result: this super chic little walking number. Love everything about it, girl. Nicely done.

‘Specially love the shades!  She looks fab!

      • christinewithanx

Me too, any clue on the brand?

        • Judy_J

No, but I wish I knew!  I checked the Dolce & Gabbana site, but came up empty.

        • understateddiva

They scream Prada to me but I can’t find an exact match.

        • http://twitter.com/pointlesswords jayme

New and very celeb-edgy brand Illesteva has a couple of very similar models and no obvious branding on the sides, so I’d give those a go.

      • Diana Delgado

I think those are Thierry Lasry sunglasses, either the Glazy or Supremacy model. She likes that brand a lot.

        • Judy_J

Thanks for doing the detective work!

    • formerlyAnon

I am neutral on the slacks but she is darn near PERFECTION from the waist up. Love that jacket & love it on her. And I *still* like the haircut.

    • http://heartprintandstyle.blogspot.com Vivi N

Love the whole outfit…except the shoes. And scrolling up to see the designer’s name, an ‘of course’ escaped outta my mouth.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2CNDPMVO4W23R5TVC2QMTJ5BZE Heather

Also, check out the rock. Is she engaged?

      • Introspective

yes she is. since about winter of last year i think.

    • Introspective

Those shoes would be sick if not for the white layer and the fact that the whole heel is rubber, which rings a bit payless.

the rest: divine. girl is working that mod meets city slick look like it owes her a paycheck. Snaps!

    • BazoDee

I love it BUT it doesn’t seem very summery to me -so I’m taking off a point for that! A nice sandal would have made this 1000x more seasonally appropriate.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2CNDPMVO4W23R5TVC2QMTJ5BZE Heather

True, but she’s in London, and it’s been chilly there. If she were in NYC where it’s 12,000 degrees this would be more of an issue.

        • BazoDee

Okay – I’ll sort of let it slide as it is 60’s and raining there I believe.

      • http://www.lindamerrill.com Linda Merrill

I think she must be in England, in the car image, looks like the driver is on the right side of the car. Could be coolish and rainy there.

        • BazoDee

Okay -i’ll deduct 0.5 points – all the more reason not to dress in grey!!

        • NC_Meg

I saw the forecast for the next few days this morning and I think it said 60s-70s (Fahrenheit) and raining. She’s definitely dressed for that weather!

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

      Love the glasses.

    • Frank_821

In this fantasy world shouldn’t it really be Rachel Zoe who is hanging on your every word?…lol

    • PinkLemon

      that’s a movie star.

    • Brett Hulst

I think I like her handler more than I like her outfit (which is cute), but he is rockin’ my world…

      • bittykitty

mmmm yes, a mix of chris kline, keanu reeves and what’s his name from the star trek movie

        • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

He kind of reminds me of Tamoh Pahket (or however you spell it) from Dollhouse. The FBI agent. So, yeah, drool-worthy.

I kind of love the shoes, even if they are sort of Payless-y. I’m not nuts about the trousers but the tweed jacket is fantastic.

      • http://viridianpostcard.blogspot.com/ viridian61

        Hot Brunet Handler?? (HBH)?

      • mjude

thanks for pointing him out.  viridian61…HBH, yes!

    • marilyn

      MUCH BETTER!!!!!

    • Scarlet39

      I hate those shoes

    • http://stitchingincircles.etsy.com Tina

      Sharp as Catwoman’s stilettos!

    • http://viridianpostcard.blogspot.com/ viridian61

Signs you read too much TLo: you dream about them at night!  In my fantasy I got to meet you two!

    • deliadee

She looks fab, altho I don’t like the shoes.  Also, she seems to have lost (or gained, depending on whether the photo order is correct) that long necklace in the last picture.  Maybe her handler took it — I’ll volunteer to do a pat-down search!

    • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

what if she actually does read tlo?  i believe the fug girls are the reason jlo quit american idol.  but she does look adorable here.  you know she would be the most awesome aunt or big sister.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_F73LIJ3SJGI5AJQMXMWXCKILHI Pamela

Y’know, if these actresses would have some meat on their bones maybe they wouldn’t have to wear a tweed jacket in July.  But it IS a cute outfit.

    • SapphoPoet

      “Can you spell ‘Gabanna’?”

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Clydette-Wantland/673315286 Clydette Wantland

Love it! All of it!  Especially the shoes.

    • NICHOLAS PASQUALE

Cuuuuute. Even though I’m not a fan of tweed, gotta say she pulls it off effortlessly.

    • kimmeister

I guess I’m in the minority, but I don’t like a single thing about this look.  The pants are the worst part of the ensemble.

      • twocee

Count me into the minority as well.  I think each piece might be ok on its own, but together she just looks a mess.

Check that — those pants are just a no, no matter what.

      • holdstillnow

The pants are a hair too close to camel toe territory…but I like everything else.

      • Vickiefantastico

Oh, THANK you! I thought I was the only one. I truly said “ew” out loud when I saw this. I’m sorry, but if we were all standing around and this girl walked by, you know we’d all be whispering about how terrible she looks.

    • siriuslover

I wouldn’t doubt that many celebs secretly come on this site to read TLo’s opinionating on their attire. And I believe that Annie probably did listen to you. She looks really great here!

    • sagecreek

      She looks great!

And I’m relieved that I hated the shoes BEFORE I realized they were by SM.

    • sweetlilvoice

Much improved even though they are hysterectomy pants. Shoes that look like weapons! Love.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1624741566 Penn Collins

why no makeup? she looks deathly pale…

    • Allison Woods

Getting tired of seeing those big glasses on her, I think they overwhelm her.

I could take my own advice on this, however.

    • j_anson

      Super cute.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_VZLU6YVO4BRTELTTH3GRAAMWZQ Dot

TBH, I adore this haircut on her. Refreshing to see this look on a lady star.

    • elleg929

Waist up is cute but waist down is a big dreary mess.

    • MilaXX

Much improved. Not completely in love with the clear frames, but a good return to form.

    • MzzPants

I love her crop, but the grow-out is going to be a bitch.

    • MissAnnieRN

I want her pants.  But being hippy and full of thigh along with being long of waist and short of leg, I will simply have to admire them on her.  Still don’t love the triangle toe of those new Stella shoes, but I’ve never loved much of anything from Stella McC, so….

    • BeeBeauNYC

Her handler, while a far cry from Hot Ginger Handler, is not too shabby either!

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_LI35AZLWSZEYRDZ4PUCBHUCZUI Jonathan

I would definitely add the handler to the list of things I love, if needed I can take off the rubber shoes on second thought I will do that voluntarily because I imagine they must give a really bad case of stank feet because I am sure that the polyurethane uppers dont breathe terribly well

      • Patricia Gillett

Whoa, serious Hot Handler Alert. Is he new?

    • Vlasta Bubinka

I would kneecap a starlet or skater for those shoes… and I’m not even a shoe whore.

    • PhillipWilde

Gorgeous.  And thank you so much for using ‘lest’ properly.  It’s one of my favorite words, and it seems like so many people use it  without actually knowing what it means or how it works.

    • http://6things.blogspot.com par3182

Does it count as a walking outfit if she’s just walking to a car?

    • guest2visits

She looks very good. I especially like the little jacket. And she introduced a bit of grey into her black and white world.
The grey leggings fit her beautifully; – but I think I’d rather see skinny jeans, faded or deep denim. The shoes are ok.

    • bellafigura1

LIke I said, the hair has transformed her.  Brilliant.

    • fursa_saida

      Love this, particularly the shooooeees

    • http://www.facebook.com/fiddlecub Kevin VanOrd

I never thought I’d say this about anything Stella McCartney created but–damn, I love those shoes.

    • http://twitter.com/jennsaysmeow Fifi LaRoux

I would cut a bitch for those shoes.

    • Call me Bee

Looks great–until the shoes.  Ugly shoes.  I gotta say I still love her short hair.  It suits her very well.

    • Rebecca Jay

Why do all her sunglasses look like they came off the twirly rack at CVS?

    • RzYoung

      lovelove

    • Vickiefantastico

WHAT?!? Are you insane? She looks like Rachel Zoe threw up on her. I’m sorry, that is a ridiculous outfit.

    • nancylee61

I don’t like the cameltoe, the pants are bunching up. Jackie Kennedy would weep.

    • afabulous50

I think she (or her stylist) has great fashion sense.  One or two missteps can be forgiven.  She gets it right most of the time.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

Her stylist is Rachel Zoe. So yea, that’s why she always looks good.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

      I can’t sign off on the pants…..just can’t.

    • Judy_S

Don’t like it. She looks like she slept in the whole thing, and possibly did some gardening in the jacket.

    • Leslie Streeter

I HATE the pants. Just because she’s famous and skinny doesn’t mean she gets a pass on forgetting to pack her skirt in the gym bag for after her Zumba class and trying to play it off like that’s an outfit.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/FEP56YB4DUIXBWSLIMSSSGQHWY jimmack

Crop jacket is sooo nice. Got to give her cred for being able towalk in those shoes.

    • lilibetp

Hate the shoes – will never understand why really tall women feel the compulsion to wear super-high heels when they’re dressed casually.  And not 100% convinced that those are the most flattering slacks she could have worn with that jacket.  But love the top, the jacket, the jewelry, and especially the SUNGLASSES!

    • PaulaBerman

Love it all except the camel toe in the first picture…

    • PaulaBerman

Love it all except the camel toe in the first picture…

    • quiltrx

Oh, I’ve always loved the “boxy little jacket”–hope it’s making a comeback!

    • http://twitter.com/jakeblumer98 jake blumer

What is up with the black t-shirt hanging down in the front? Or is she wearing a fanny pack?!? (Or, since she’s in London, a “bum bag”?)

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=688150598 Elizabeth Siegel

I think the shoes are a lot of fun!
