WERQ: Fan Bingbing in Salvatore Ferragamo

Posted on June 13, 2012

Question: Should T Lo dispense with the WERQs in an instance when the WERQer is pretty much duplicating the runway styling? Doesn’t that somehow violate the WERQ Code?

Not when she wears the same dress, jewelry and hairstyle and manages to look better than the model.

You win, Miss Bingbing. Everyone else best step off.

It seems that to be Fan Bing Bing is to WERQ, so I think you get to be harsher on her. love the lipstick, ditch the earrings, glad she changed the shoes.

    • Sobaika

Exactly, the earrings don’t really go but even if she still chose to wear them it should have been either/or with the necklace.

      • Valdri8

        I am in total agreement – either/or.

    • Lisa_Cop

Oh I love the model’s shoes. Also shorten the hem about 1 inch so that her knees show. Otherwise gorgeous.

  • SpcilK

    Bewitched by Bingbing!

    • Sara__B

Count me among the bewitched. I can find so many little things wrong, but who cares? Maybe it’s that face, or her confidence and poise. Or magic.

      • http://twitter.com/dollsaga Helen

ture, she won and we didnt know why. lol

  • jmorino08

The top does weird things on both her and the model, giving the illusion of fat rolls that surely don’t exist. Me no,likey

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Sierra-Delta/100003182924700 Sierra Delta

My first thought, too:  muffin top.

  • Judy_J

Bingbing!  Now THIS is a lady who owns a full-length mirror and knows how to use it.

  • http://twitter.com/iraki86 IraKi

Should we stop calling it “werg-ing” and start calling it “bingbing-ing” ? I’m just sayin’

    • carolynmo

I second this motion! All those in favor. . . .?

      • lizajane1776

         Aye!

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_64HSRZWCSJ5RBFGCWDLFQOICYM G

TLo, I’m surprised you didn’t mention the shoes.  Not WERQ worthy, are they?  And one sleeve showing lace and one not?  And those earrings that compete w/ the necklace?  And the black bra?  Not a WERQ for me, but what a doll-face!

    • alwaysanswerc

Completely agree. The shoes, bra, and earrings make this no-WERQy for me.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=678337501 Carla Axtman

That gold and green/blue color combo in the skirt is PHENOMENAL. She wears it beautifully. LOVE LOVE LOVE the clutch.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=675517274 Nora Halcyonov Lynnenko Naught

They’re so right!  She looks stunning!

  • argonauticos

I wish she’d worn the shoes the model has too. She’s amazing, nonetheless.

  • librarygrrl64

I think it should have been either earrings OR necklace in this case. Otherwise she’s fabulous.

  • Violina23

I do prefer the model’s shoes myself, but she looks awesome

  • MilaXX

I don’t care what you do as long as we get to see the fabulous Fan Bingbing

  • Allison Woods

Necklace is extraneous. Otherwise, Bingbing perfect….again.

  • charlotte

With Miss Bingbing, you guys can almost write “WERQ” before even looking at her. Woman is bringing it!

  • http://twitter.com/nkk Nikki

That INTENSE bra is really distracting me though… I mean, did it have to be that ridiculous?

    • GorgeousThings

I didn’t see your comment before I said the same thing. That’s one weird bra. I spent a couple of minutes trying to figure out what it was.

    • kimmeister

The shape appears to be a feat of architechture!

  • GorgeousThings

Except for the weird black bra, I agree with you. But that kind of kills it for me.

    • Nayasabrina

It’s the limp bow string dangling down the middle of her front plus the bra  plus the necklace that makes the look un-WERQ-able to me. Fabulous face;  love the deep green color.

  • http://aldonsusi.blogspot.com/ Susi R

I wish she would have worn more interesting shoes!

  • Pupioso

Love this look on her. Not a huge an of the shoes but all in all, this looks fabulous. That necklace is perfect.

  • Vaniljekjeks

    Flawless.

  • call_me_schmeg

Fan Bing Bing to the world, “Bitches, you better recognize.”

  • kimmeister

Looking miles better than Leighton Meester in a dress from the same collection over on the whiteboard.

  • j_anson

    It… doesn’t look… bad? Meh.

  • another_laura

I say “yes” to T Lo’s very astute question.  To replicate the runway look with a celeb such as the fabulous Fan Bing Bing is too much of a no-brainer….

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mary-Elizabeth-Poytinger-Baumer/1516981341 Mary Elizabeth Poytinger Baume

can this bitch do anything wrong? she is triple fab with a side of fuckingawesome.

  • BrooklynBomber

Maybe BingBing should become a own category, like when someone looks as good as she always does, they’re BingBinging it.

  • trisker

I don’t think she looks better than the model — earrings are WAY too much and shoes aren’t nearly as cool.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/W7A5N4G7FDTV5U2KOHBVSB55XI Basket

I don’t like this look at all, too heavy.

  • alyce1213

I can’t agree that she outdid the model. The dress is too much for her, too heavy, makes her look thicker than she is, not flattering, and the earrings are a huge mistake.
    Model wins.

  • Jecca2244

is that a stick on bra? I want it.

  • bitchybitchybitchy

This is why I love, love TLo-they just knew that their unborn fawns and bitter kittens needed a new Fan BingBing post!
    WERQ it, girl!

  • guest2visits

The fabrics, the jewels, everything looks so rich and opulent; but the bra looks silly. Can’t love it.

  • http://twitter.com/jessicajwu Jessica

It should be Miss Fan but I agree.

  • PaulaBerman

This is one fabulous bitch. Love her.

  • TieDye64

Ditch the earrings, shorten the necklace a tad and ditch the shoes. The models’ shoes are far better. Otherwise it’s a WERQ.

  • Dagney

This is most definitely a WERQ.  She had the cajones to add those cajones-worthy earrings on top of an already cajones looking ensemble, and she is pulling it off like nobody’s business.

  • SewingSiren

Outshines the model in every way. She replicates the look of the runway and yet on her it looks completely unique.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1241487378 Lauren Lynch Fox

    Love!

  • http://www.facebook.com/samuel.j.donovan Samuel Joesph Donovan

Nah, woman is plastic.  No imagination.  She’s like a barbie doll.

  • http://twitter.com/pag_baj Paige Boerman

I love this woman so damn much and I don’t even know who she is.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/N2ABQ3252GB7K5TTZ5YALX2NFU 张智

an actress, the boss of her own studio,a producer and so on…..she has a lot of identity…….how unfair it is!everything about is so pefect! She is  fantastic.

  • Le_Sigh

Yes – and the lipstick is fierce!

  • EEKstl

She looks great, but I’d have lost the earrings, only one important piece of jewelry near the face, please!

  • Judy_S

I think you should give a WERQ to any designer who gets his clothes onto Fan Bingbing!

  • Call me Bee

Earrings need to go, but the shoes are much better than the model’s.  She looks stunning here.  WERQ, indeed.

  • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

    She is simply fantastic.

  • Jessica O’Connell

She’s also wearing a bra, which is much appreciated. This girl always looks fantastic!

  • Dhammadina

Compare Leighton Meester in the White Board section.

  • Zippypie

I don’t know who Bingbing is, but she has been rocking my world on the carpet since Cannes.  Keep it coming, gf!

  • aimee_parrott

Bingbing!  WERQ indeed, although I agree with those who suggested that either the necklace OR the earrings would have been sufficient.

  • Susan Crawford

Bingbing is now a category of her own. Transcendent – I don’t care if she spends the rest of her life reading the phonebook, I can’t stop gaping at her. She’s not a Swinton because she does pretty not avant garde, but she is in the stratosphere with La Tilda.

  • giiiirrrr

Eh.  I hate peasant blouses on principle–they make everyone look stoop shouldered.  And I still think her foundation is too masklike (yes, I understand that’s common in Asia, but that doesn’t make it work for her).  She always looks good, but a WERQ?  Not from me.

  • Neverbuynewclothes

Love the ladylike watch.  Reminds me of the ’60s when one had an evening watch, very small and discreet, and a daytime watch.

  • marilyn

She is too short for this style.  The silhouette looks better on the model.  However, I like the look of the sleeves being short, rather than long.  That model has a scary guy face.  Oh dear.

  • GTrain

I have to disagree. I think the model’s height makes this work better. It looks costumey on Fan Bingbing.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_CQPXLNCBM5CZSHZZXJDHPVFS7E Buffy

The synonym for WERQ is Fan Bingbing…

  • kikisayshi

She looks great, but I wouldn’t say this is over-the-top fantastic, as her previous (and well-deserved) WERQs have been.

  • bitterk

Her name alone is a WERQ

  • Chaiaiai

Hmmm.  Maybe “pulling a Bing Bing” should indicate that one takes the runway styling and elevates it?

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=500831804 Lucie Shaw

omgosh you guys are so obsessed with fan bingbing. could you do some for zhangziyi?

  • OneTwoThreeFashion

    wow

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/N2ABQ3252GB7K5TTZ5YALX2NFU 张智

an actress, the boss of her own studio,a producer and so on
