Valentino Resort 2013 Shoes

Posted on June 29, 2012

Some of these pairs are a bit too casual for the red carpet, so we’re not inclined to play Pretend Stylist just this once. Instead, we’re turning it over to you ladies. Time to do some pretend (or real, if you’ve got the cash lying around) shopping, gals.We think many of you will be happy to see not only kitten heels, but pretty little flat sandals as well. So no one has the orthopedic excuse. Get to picking out pairs and pretend-trying them on, girls. Which one’s your favorite?

We love those flat sandals. Chic as hell.

Yes, love the option of the kitten heels.  BUT, that bit sticking up at the back of the shoe–terribly painful in real-life walking.

      • MilaXX

I don’t mind that, I hate the ankle strap.

        • Katie M. Nelson

          The pink studded sandals are

      • skadi1

Shoes with that thing in the back + ankle strap never seem to fit right, and they invariably slop up and down. Do Not Like.

    • Lina_bee

HOORAY FLATS! Yay cute shoes that don’t come with a built-in podiatry bill! Also yay for Valentino making something I actually like again!

    • JasmineAM

The pink studded sandals are MINE.

      • tereliz

Those are my absolute faves, too!

    • Irish Rodriguez Reyes

      Did some fantasy celebrity stylist:
      Katy Perry
      Chole Moretz
      Sarah J. Parker
      Lana Del Rey
      Juliane Moore
      Dita von Teese
      Michelle Obama

I’m a heel kinda girl, so I’ll take the Black Glam Microstud (last pair), and the Rockstud Metal Heel Slingback (second to last).

    • MilaXX

I like every pair except 4 & 5. I would kill for the green pair (#2), number 7 could be my dress shoe & number 9 would work for everyday life.

    • Jessica TallGirl Freeman

Aside from the powder sparkling snake ones…I’ll pass on the rest.

    • Deborah Lipp

      Kitten heels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Lisa

BITTER Kitten heels – for US!!!

I’ll try the gladiator sandals and the black glam microstuds, plzkthxs.  You can just put them on my tab.  Oh, my name?  It’s, um… Katie Holmes.  Yeah, that’s it.  But please keep that to yourself; I’m trying to maintain a low profile today…

I’m not feeling enthusiastic about a single pair there. The rhinestones are reading more David’s Bridal than upscale eveningwear to me, and the sandals are beyond blah. Gluing a few medal studs to the heel of a sandal does not a good shoe make.

    • Linda Harris

      I’ve always hated “kitten Heels”

      • kimmeister

Me too.  Kittens are so much cuter than their inaptly named footwear counterparts!

      • MemHey

Truly, I am wracking my brain trying to figure out if anyone can rock them… I mean, Audrey, perhaps… but anyone NOT in the fashion pantheon, well… I’m having trouble. And personally I’ve yet to meet a pair that feels good to walk in. They feel like shoes with an identity crisis, touting themselves as “comfortable” as school marm potato shoes but still chic… Not buying it. (Got my contemplator working overtime… or perhaps this is just the soapbox I’ve been waiting for…)

    • Caaro3

      My mouth is watering.

    • mjude

i like kitten heels cause i can at least wear & walk in them even though i want to do the big girl shoes. love the black glam

    • UrsNY

I’m probably missing something (as I often do), but most of these look like shoes already on the clearance rack at the dept store.

    • viridian61

I would take the second to last pair – kitten heel and a slingback is a favorite of mine.  Can I special order without the studs though?

    • kimmeister

I wouldn’t wear any of them except the first and last pair.

    • gdougs

Love these! Dainty and lady-like, instead of clunky and ugly. Also, much preferred over the Louboutins seen EVERYEHERE lately.

    • Trisha26

I don’t like the strap on the first and last pair – why is every shoe being turned into a Mary Jane of late? Despite loving black I have to go with the Powder Sparkling Snake stiletto and the Rockstud slingback.

    • CPK1

love the sandals. so very cute and fresh-looking

    • guest2visits

My favorites are the Glam Micro Stud; Black and Powder. But I will happily accept the Metal Heel Slingback.
Let me know if you need my mailing address.

LOVE the kitten heels!  I hope they’re making a comeback.  At 5’11” and big, the skyscraper heels so ‘in’ now are just not for me.  But a kitten heel (I always think of it as the Audrey Hepburn heel) can make you look ladylike without teetering about.

    • TieDye64

Love the colored sandals. Very fun.

    • Lisa

YES!  I don’t do heels anymore, so it’s refreshing to see kitten heels and flats in a shoe collection!

    • bellafigura1

Black Glam and Powder Sparkling Snake are To. Die. For.

    • sweet_potato

I’m glad the hoof style of shoe is beginning to go away.

    • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

Okay, I am in love with the Powder Sparkling Snake Open Toe Heel, which is way too many words for a pair of shoes.  And yet, I love them.

    • Louise Bryan

      probably don’t come in a 10.5 anyway.

    • sashaychante

Only two platforms in the bunch…YAY!  When will that trend DIE already.

    • newtonGOTbeaned

Oooo hot pink studded gladiator sandals……Want.

    • M Carlson

That metal cube pump….be still my heart.

    • Phyllis Craine

      kitten heels – yuck.

    • Josie Morin

They all seem so…boring and unoriginal
