In or Out: Zoe Saldana in Prabal Gurung

Posted on June 05, 2012

This is the kind of dress that we shouldn’t like but wind up doing so and we can’t figure out if it’s because the dress is truly spectacular or the wearer is working the hell out of it.

Zoe Saldana attends the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards in a Prabal Gurung gown paired with Cartier Jewelry.

Prabal Fall 2012 Collection/Model: Zuzanna Bijoch

All that sheerness would normally have us shrieking “OUT!” but it’s all so elegantly done. We can’t stop looking at it. But we have to admit, the cuffs on the sleeves are distracting and look a little awkward. We like that she’s not sporting a belt but we think she looks a little odd without showier earrings. Her hairstyle is practically screaming for them. In fact, it strikes us as odd that the only noticeable jewelry are the cocktail rings, which makes the whole jewelry aspect of the outfit look a little unbalanced, if that makes any sense. All the visual weight is literally on her fingers. Kind of an odd choice. We would have recommended dangly earrings and possibly a pendant rather than cocktail rings.

Still, she cuts quite a figure, does she not?

Vote Now!

IN! She does!

OUT! She does NOT!

Lizzie Banks’ sci-fi jumpsuit look got an IN, to T Lo’s consternation.

Can’t blame her- how does one compete!

  • Katie Heim

    IN> That bitch is fierce.

    • AlexisPayne

      Well said and ditto, IN!

      • SRQkitten

Third that one! Most definitely an IN!

    • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

      fierce is an understatement.

    • drdarke

It’s one of those dresses, TLo – if the girl can wear it, it’s so IN.

And Zoe Saldana – can totally wear that dress. It looks both classy and insanely sexy on her.

  • BazoDee

    IN. Inexplicably IN.

    • MoHub

IN. And I never thought I’d say that about a dress with that much sheer.

  • belfebe

    IN!!!!!!!!!  Oh, so IN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • twocee

I have minor quibbles, but overall IN.

  • lovelyivy

She can do no wrong with clothes. A friend’s fiance used to date Zoe Saldana and my friend haaaaaaaaates this woman with the fire of a thousand suns. Can’t blame her- how does one compete!

    • introspective

ooh that must be horrible. i hate hearing about my husband’s (very celeb free) roster of exes, so I cant even imagine what your friend must feel like hearing about all this fierceness in her man’s past…

      • lovelyivy

Yep. Her fiance is cool, and I think he is the only person who dislikes talking about Zoe Saldana more than she does lol.

  • judith traherne

In, just for the fantastic waist.
But would’ve preferred to see that as a short sleeve.

    • Leah Elzinga

I’m with you.  It would’ve been great if the sleeves had ended BEFORE the sheer.

    • EveEve

I like the sheer part of the sleeve a lot, but would have shortened it, so the cuff started just below the elbow – then added a spectacular bracelet.

  • Liana Brooks

OUT – I want to like it but it’s scroll-down-fugly. Rip the drapes off the bottom as this is a fierce (albeit short) dress.

  • minnye

Gorgeous, full stop. The jewelry simplicity  works for me.

  • Dani Colman

Damn her and her fabulousness!  On literally anyone else we’d all be yelling about sheer crotch curtains, but Zoe looks…classy.  What witchcraft is this?

    • introspective

exactly my thoughts. the model makes it look all frankenwhore. meanwhile zoe gets nothing but love from me in this. so to answer TLo’s question– *definitely* the wearer.

    • Libby Rhoman

The dress is so unbelievably hideous, but she makes it work.  IN.

  •!/rmccarthyjames RMJ12345

Total IN, she is pulling that off.

  • kelsita421

Don’t love the dress, but girlfriend can’t be anything but IN! How does she do it??

  • Call me Bee

IN!! Gorgeous!  Zoe Does make the look, which is the way it should be.  On someone else, this dress may be tacky.  On her–fierce!!

  • Democracy Diva

Amazingly, infinitely IN, though I agree she could use some more jewelry.

  • LuisaNL

    gorgeous! IN.

  • LongTall_Sally

So IN, though dangly earrings would have made this a ridiculous in.

  • Delysia LaFosse

That much sheer is virtually always kind of vulgar for a red-carpet situation, but she really looks stunning. I completely agree about the need for earrings though. Still, an easy IN.

  • Tenille Clarke

IN! Is this even a question?!

    • carolynmo

      Exactly. Pure fabulousosity!

  • crash1212

I truly dislike this dress – quite a lot, but damn if she isn’t working it. I still have to go with OUT, for the reasons T Lo stated. Jewelry imbalance is HUGE here. Plus, those cuffs? Hideous dress would be made so much less hideous without them.

    • Celandine1

I totally  agree with you. OUT because  the jewelry  (lack of) plus the hair and makeup all scream “pulling a Jolie” to me. The dress is doing the heavy lifting and it’s got to much going on with all the sheer covered cut outs and plunging neckline.

  • Lina_bee

IN. They’ve done the impossible and made sheer look genuinely classy instead of, you know, KLASSY.  I think the rings are intentional in order to focus the eye on the dress itself instead of the wearer.  Earrings would draw the eye to how amazingly gorgeous she is without necessarily showing the dress to best effect.  Granted, I think that most other people would look ridiculous in gowns with this much sheer material — and sheer skirt! — but for those who can make it work, this is fabulous.

  • Kiltdntiltd

She is one of those rare women who can wear something like this and take it away from Slutlandia into Classietopia. WERQ!

    • Sara L.

Slutlandia! Love it! Is that near Whoresville and Vulgartown?

      • Kiltdntiltd

Those are municipalities in Slutlandia, but Ho-Opolis is the capital city.

        • schadenfreudelicious

just down the road from Skanksville….

  • Ivona Foster

The power of Zoe could not save this one, it’s just so shiny and sheer…. sleeves AND mid section AND cleavage AND leg curtain… the rings do throw the eye off…sorry, no

  • Judy_J

I normally hate this type of dress, but damn…..she looks fantastic.  That is her dress….no one else could wear it this well.

  • Barbora

IN – she is working the hell out of it!

  • M_E_S

In because she’s Zoe effing Saldana.  She could wear a paper bag and be in

  • Nikko Viquiera

    In. What a bitch.

  • Amy

  • j_anson

IN. Should be a WERQ. The fact that sheer cut-outs are OFTEN tacky and unnecessary doesn’t mean they’re ALWAYS tacky and unnecessary.

  • Andrew Walker

this woman can do no wrong. IN.

  • TieDye64

I don’t know how she’s rocking this, but she is. IN. Though I’ll say the sleeves and, what appears to be makeup shading/contouring, are odd.

  • Jessi03

IN!  She looks incredible.  I hate it on the model, though.  Behold the power of the Saldana.

  • MilaXX

IN but I wish she had a warmer lip.

  • kingderella

i detest mid-section cut-outs, but this is really chic and interesting, and i LOVE the sleeves. the only thing that doesnt work for me is the sheer skirt, this would have been a killer cocktail dress. its still unquestionably an IN! also, this woman is fab.

  • elleg929

OUT – cannot do sheer panels.  Plus Zoe, please eat something.  She is venturing into Olsen Twin-lollipop head territory.

  • Fifi LaRoux

    IN she looks fantastic!

  • Jennifer Hofstetter

I want to hate it, but I can’t. She’s probably the only woman in the world that can pull off that dress, but she so does. IN.

  • Kate4queen

    IN :)

  • Catherine

Um yeah, that’s a dress 99% couldn’t pull off but she looks fucking fierce. IN.

  • merciblahblah

I don’t love the dress at all, but still have to give her an IN because she is so frigging perfect in it. She looks like the cat that ate the canary in that first photo. Love it.

  • J.Watt

IN. I’m undeniably biased when it comes to this broad.

  • PRFan

Love it – she’s an IN.

  • Kathy Marlow

La Saldana strikes again…wearing something that should be an OUT but is SO an IN!

  • victoria rodeno

I think there needs to be more of a body in the dress. She is too toothpicky for the dress.

  • vanjar

That’s  an IN if I ever saw one.  Perfect dress, perfect wearer.

  • Belvane

Definitely IN. Bigger earrings would have been better, but a pendant would have taken away from the gorgeous line of those collarbones.

  • msdamselfly

Wow!  She really rocks what could be an awkward looking dress

  • Isana Leshchinskaya

IN even though I find her highly unpleasant

  • jw_ny

Zoe looks stunning.  I really dislike this dress on the model, especially with the belt…all around harsh.   Funny how Zoe made it look soft and elegant.  The cuffs are odd, however I don’t think showier jewelery was necessary…Zoe and the dress are statement enough, although I think a slightly bolder lip would have been icing on the cake…

  • Rand Ortega

    On. FIRE!
So IN she’d need a locksmith to ever be out!

  • GTrain

IN. Though she could be working it a little better. She seems unsure.

  • Dixie Murphy Ross

In. I normally hate sheer, but FFS it’s Zoe, and she could rock a paper bag.

  • Tiger Gray

I think I would hate that dress on literally anyone else. IN.

  • leftcoastpickle

out. I hate the sheer sleeves and bottom. Actually I hate the whole thing, but I love Ms. Saldana, she looks good despite the dress. But not good enough to save the dress. Scroll down fug, out out out. (Who is her cute date? Nice accessory!)

  • Lisa Dugan

In. I love how it’s moving on the model so it must have looked that gorgeous on Zoe.  Not loving the cuff sleeves but overall (especially profile) she looks fabulous.

  • ChaquitaPhilly

Well it’s striking, that’s for sure. But oh so very OUT! She’s still very beautiful but in spite of the dress.

  • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

Leave it to Zoe to make us love something we ought to hate. IN!

  • MissAnnieRN

In. I believe she could make a paper bag WERQ.

  • Louise Bryan

IN, she looks nice.  Which is not the word I would typically associate with Ms. Saldana.

  • Laura Nugent

In! I agree it could use showier earrings, but the restraint is kind of nice, allowing all the focus to be on the dress.

  • Sara__B

IN. Zoe Saldana has the ability to elevate a gown to another level and make it all her own, and she’s done it again. Perfect? No. Spectacular? Yes!

  • a Studio by the Sea

She’s as thin as a gazelle, has good posture and a certain aura of aloofness, so a somewhat slutty, rather oddly designed dress looks great on her.  IN.

  • Valeria Josy Rivera

  • janetjb

The accessories are lacking, but she wears the dress well.

  • snarkalicious

The dress FITS her; it’s that simple.  I cannot believe how many lovely ladies on the RC wear ill-fitting garments poorly suited to their body type.  It’s hard to screw things up when you are working with Zoe Saldana, but I have to give her stylist props for understanding the body he/she is working with.

  • Aurumgirl

No, it’s she who is elegant.  Because that dress on anyone else would cause us all to brooch our eyes.

  • Diana

It’s Zoe. She can’t NOT be IN.

  • claudemtl777

I often think she’s overpraised, but today she looks amazing. Her date is also very well put together. Stunning couple!

  • Mylynka

I know I am SO in the minority, but no, out.  I just can’t with this dress…. not even on the model.   Another poster below said leg-curtains and that is all I see now… ick.

  • MinAgain

    begin default setting/

    Zoe is IN.

    /end default setting

  • joe_tey83

Just to balance things out in the universe a little, I’m gonna put her on my Irrational Hate List since she seems to be on so many people’s Irrational Love List.

    Stupid looking dress.

  • VicksieDo

    IN, that is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mjude

IN.  i am feeling ertha kitt today

  • jennmarie19

IN! Holy cannoli, she looks phenomenal. 1000 times better than the model.

  • Deborah Lipp

She could pull it off if anyone could.

    But no one can. OUT.

  • TSkot

Long sheer skirts over opaque mini skirts always equals OUT!  *shudder!*

  • Pannyx

That’s quite a fierce look. Not many people other than the gorgeous Zoe could make it work, but she sure is looking great. In

  • fungstyle

it’s totally her and not the dress, but it’s an IN.

  • Melanie

  • MsKitty

The sheer skirts have become played out, but Zoe is rocking the hell out of this dress so I can live with it.  IN.

  • Ros Clarke

    IN. Right dress, right woman.

  • alwaysanswerc

(runway makeup, on the other hand, gives me the heebies)

    • kimmeister

      The makeup is terrifying!

  • SatelliteAlice

In.  That dress is so perfect on her.  I’m having trouble thinking of more than two or three people who I think could even attempt to wear it with similar success.

  • saanrio

IN.  Yes, the earrings maybe could have been different, a little bigger, but she looks fabulous as she is, so let’s just leave it at that.

  • SheWhoMustBeObeyed

You know what bothers me? The sleeves. For some reason all the other sheerness is fine, but I wish the sleeve had stopped with the opaque short sleeve. It’s just one sheer piece too many for me. Maybe because as it is, the sleeves remind me too much of superhero gauntlets.

It’s not an eyesore, but she can do so much better. Out.

  • Dave

IN – She didn’t stick the landing, but damn, girl looks pleased with her bad self anyway.

  • Goldie

I get the idea behind the sleeves.  If the wearer has their arms straight down at their sides, the cuffs follow the line of the solid panel from waist to hips.  On paper, it may have looked good but I don’t think arm movement or length were taken into consideration.

    Also, she’s an IN…always.

  • the_valkyrie

In other news, Prabal Gurung is HOT!

    • Chris Sutton

I just scrolled through all the comments and you were the only one to say that! I am shocked! After seeing him in that last photo, I forgot all about ZS. He is uber-suave looking! WOW!

      • the_valkyrie

I think the longer hairstyle suits him. She looks gorgeous but he is putting her to shade!

        • Chris Sutton

          Cheers to that!

    • kimmeister

So THAT’S who that is.  I was wondering, thanks!  (And I agree.)

  • Merneith

IN. I love the sheer cuffs especially. And she is working like her rent is due.

  • sherrietee

IN.  To be honest, it’s probably because her skin is darker in tone than the model.  It works so much better with the dress than someone pale as a ghost.

  • suzq

    In for four reasons:
    1. She’s got the body for it
    2. She isn’t showing any underwear
    3. She lost the belt and embellishments on the cuff that the model wore on the runway.
    4. No slit.

  • alyce1213

IN. I’d probably hate this on most people, who’d make it look tacky, but it’s perfection on Zoe.

  • Presumptuous Insect

IN. Looks better than the model. Gotta love Uhuru.

  • Celeste

I agree that the accessories are lacking… but on another woman, this dress would have looked real odd. If only b/c she pulled it off, I’ll vote IN

  • unbornfawn

Looking at parts this should be an out. But Zoe is making this dress work. Her graceful posture and posing are helping the hell out of the dress. If she had tried to pose like Angelina Jolie at the Oscars, this look would have been one tacky mess. Good girl. Many props to Zoe for wearing the hell out of this dress. IN!

  • deliadee

How so much sheerness can look so classy, I don’t know, but she did it.  IN.

  • KathKo

She wears the dress, not the opposite.
She definitely has a knack for it.

  • Ass Kicking Adviser

IN but I agree about the lack of earring wow. And I also have to say that the dress is two inches from a Project Runway assignment. Seriously, cut outs and sheer panels and flowy fabric and yeah, it’s been done. Zoe’s makin’ it work like probably no one else could.

  • ballerinawithagun

IN! She is probably the only person who could wear it!

  • the_valkyrie

IN. Normally I hate sheer, but here it looks classy. It takes a special dress and special woman to pull this off…

  • Anathema_Device

She loses me at the sheer skirt. I think the cuffs are a bit much, too, but I appreciate that they are supposed to be a continuation of the cutouts on the dress.

Sorry, Zoe. You are gorgeous and working this as well as any mere mortal could, but I’m voting Out.

  • butterflysunita

Can anything be more IN?  It’s perplexing, because the model looks horrible.

  • Randy Noak

In in so many ways. I don’t mind the earrings. With the hair, they put the focus on the beautiful lines of her face.

  • NurseEllen

Totally IN.  She looks much better than the model for 2 reasons: 1) losing that gawdawful belt; and 2) the fact that the sheer panels are close to the color of her skin.  The model’s skin is so pale white in the v-neck and of course the gauze makes her arms dark, whereas with Zoe, there’s not such an overwhelming difference in the colors.  it looks more organic on her.  I think that’s the reason I rather like the cuffs on Zoe, too.  Agree 100% about the need for better earrings.

  • Lizzie

She’s working that shit like it owes her money! I like it better on Zoe than I do on the model. IN, for sure!

  • carpediva

IN. A hideous dress on paper and pretty fug on the model is full stop stunning on Zoe. I even like the sleeves. Though she’s somewhat “pulling a Jolie” from the neck up.

  • Amy Ellinger

In 110% because it’s Zoe and she’s killing it softly.

  • momogus

  • SapphoPoet

    IN. It works.

  • Jessica | Surely Sonsy

IN. This dress is all Zoe.

  • Stella Zawistowski

I thought I didn’t endorse sheer on anyone. Turns out I endorse it on her, and only her. IN.

  • warontara

    Oh so very very IN!

  • jjfg

In.  Normally I’d hate that sort of meshy dress, but on her, it’s kind of awesome.

  • Anne Meek White

I love it, IN. But do we not think the sheer is a little loose, especially in the waist?

  • LesYeuxHiboux

IN! I think it helps that she is slightly bustier than the model, which breaks the aggressive line from navel to upper arm. I hate it on the model, but Zoe’s werqin’ it. Her darker skintone helps as well, not as much of a glaring contrast between dress and FLESH!

  • lesmaha

This is an IN–she looks amazing!! I do agree that she needs bigger earrings.

  • rissa42210

IN.  werk!  but yes, more earring, less ring.

  • Amy Watts

IN. She’s working it better than the model even.

  • FlamingJune1967

    unquestionably IN!  Absolutely love this!

  • Erin

So very IN.  She looks so amazing in the dress, I wouldn’t have noticed the details if TLo hadn’t pointed them out.

  • turtleemily

I’m going to say out because while she’s working the dress, it’s like she gave up with hair and jewelry. This dress did not need an updo.

  • Sierra Delta

Life is unfair.  Zoe takes a dress that looks Kartrashian on the model and makes it look almost Cambridgean.

  • Mary Stone

My vote is for wearer working the haill out of it.  The sheerness is not cootch or nipple-flashing tacky, it’s well done.  It fits her immaculately, and it’s styled well (no huge statement pieces at the neck or on the wrists to distract from the interesting architectural details in the dress or the juxtaposition of opaque/sheer, only a couple of interesting but not too focus-pulling rings on the hands to give a little color).

Original runway shot is not nearly so pretty, so it’s definitely the wearer (and the styling choices, the heavy belt on the runway version was too heavy and clunky) rather than the dress itself.

It’s an IN for me. definitely.

  • mom2ab

See Jada- this is what strong and fierce can look like when done well…

  • Anna

I don’t mind the cuffs and this dress would not have worked on anyone else. She is IN!

  • Charmella

    IN…but she needed some bling!

  • Nariya

    What the hell?! In

  • CassieLee22

IN shes working the shit out of it

  • Lexie

IN. She looks stunning. I agree with your minor quibbles, though.

  • marilyn

    IN.  She looks great!!

  • Trisha26

I have no problem with the dress – much better without the belt – it’s pretty amazing. Zoe however looks like a preying mantis. I’m really, really tired of stick thin models and actresses.

  • Jangle57

I want to not like it because of the sheer skirt but I must say, she looks soooooooooooooooo much better in it than the model, she deserves props for that alone – IN

  • Martha Jackson Deutsch

    Unenthusiastic IN.

More importantly, who is her man?

  • Samantha Ritchie

  • Shawn EH

IN! Perfect eye makeup is mesmerizing.

  • KittenKisses

Ditch the rings, relocate your ponytail from Star Trek, buy some bigger earrings and I’m there.

I want to hate this, especially with the split, but I can’t. She looks fab. IN.

  • phoenix4

IN  although i’d probably cut off the sleeves at the top of the sheer bit

  • Lauren Lynch Fox

I really don’t like the dress, but she does look good in it. In.

  • altalinda

    Perfection.  In.

  • Haley Buchanan

Miss Zoe has that magical power to wear nonsensical clothes, and make them make sense.  Plus I actually like the cutouts on the arms and waist.  (The skirt not so much.)  IN.

  • Candigirl1968

  • Erin

In.  She is running circles around the model in this dress.

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

  • bailey debruynkops

more substantial earrings for sure, but IN

  • Sage Andersen

In–surprisingly.  i usually hate cutouts, and usually i think the fierce miss zoe could stand to eat a few pieces of cake, but for some reason, i think she looks incredibly lovely.

  • CatherineRhodes

Totally pulling a Jolie.  She puts on the fabulous dress and thinks she’s done. C’mon, hair in a bun, no jewelery except those odd cocktail rings.

  • mrspotts66

  • leave_Blake_alone

IN. This has elements that shouldn’t work but it all comes together great. (Agreed on the jewelry, though.)

  • Monabel

In. And I like the cuffs.

  • golspie

It’s superb – and she is bold enough to become part of the dress by wearing almost no jewellery and the most minimal of make-up.

  • ThaliaMenninger

    IN. She looks fabulous.

  • Tina Tian

IN! It would not work on anyone else but Zoe is working the hell out of it. Agree on the earrings though.

  • Sabrina Stern

In–She looks elegant and fierce at the same time

  • Eovaai

IN. I hate the dress, but she is just so fierce in it.

  • Ezmartin

  • JoannaOC

The power of ballet-dancer posture, on display. Completely relaxed but completely balanced, always.

  • Lily

IN. She could wear a paper bag and I’d vote her in. Girl WORKS THAT SHIT.

  • littlemissstrange

Totally in because she is WORKING THE SHIT OUT OF IT. That dress looks a million times better on her than on the model, although I do agree that she could’ve done better with the earrings.

  • Candice Richardson

I love everything about it and I usually HATE sheer dresses. IN.

  • spooki C

Looks way better on Zoe than the model

  • E_bee

In. I disagree with the styling assessment: the cuffs make the dress, and the lack of big jewelry on the face and neck gives it a clean, almost sportswear sort of look. She looks so much better than the runway model, who looks messy and angry.

  • Vera

  • LambeeBaby

Out. Cuffs are too thick appearing and I don’t like the sheer bottom.

  • Dhammadina

    Wow. In. Mythical waist, Neytiri!

  •!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

IN.  She looks incredible and there are very few people I can imagine making this work.

  • guest2visits

It’s certainly better without the Flash Gorden cuffs and belt that the model is wearing; and I think Zoe’s choice of jewelry
is perfect.  But the dress starts to lose some of it’s special weird/wonderful design with the see through legs; it ruins the
flow of the dress, for me. And makes it feel like more netting than dress; and so more like a sci-fi convention costume.
    Zoe herself looks gorgeous.

  • jabes

Hmm. I like it better on the model than on her — I think the belt, especially, and perhaps the bits and pieces on the cuffs are needed.  Also don’t like the cat-eye makeup at all.  I think she looks better in the last picture than the ones taken head on, but it just doesn’t work for me.

  • StrandedFashionista

While I agree with your comments, I’m still giving it an IN.

  • Allison Woods

  • marlie

I agree that sometimes a particularly favorite celebrity can break all of the fashion rules and get away with it. Because SERIOUSLY. I LOVE this. Zoe looks hot and fierce!

  • Sophie Collier

It is cute and she is wearing it well.  Something is making her arms look freakishly long, but can’t figure out if its the sleeves or something in the bodice or skirt.  Or maybe she really does have super long arms.  At any rate, this is the first time a sheer skirt has looked good.  Probably because there aren’t granny panties showing.

  • Sara Munoz

Her one giant accessory is enough! Who is he??

  • Kelsey Albrecht

  • frankystein123

Her hair simply DOES NOT match that dress.

  • julesj

In. gorgeous. and love the horse she rode in on.

  • Laura

    IN. Love it.

  • Sweetvegan

IN! Why is this even a debate?

  • benjamin478

IN. She cuts more than a fab figure. Daaammmnnn

  • suryasnair

IN. Even w/o jewelry, she looks fab.

  • judybrowni

Yeah, what’s with the no jewelry, or too damn little trend on the red carpet?

  • Truly_Outrageous

I agree with guys. She needed showier earings. But I give her an IN.

  • ccm800

IN  – this is sheer done right. The simplicity of it makes it so chic.

  • Cautia

IN. I don’t like the dress on the model, but she looks good in it, and that’s what matters.

  • ChristySchiff

Those sleeves are so weird!  OUT

  • Samantha Irene

In – could have used the earrings – but still IN!!!!

Hmm, IN, you can’t out her, she looks too good

  • Judy_S

    IN. Nice analysis though.

She really needs to figure out a better photo face. She’s probably one of the most gorgeous women in showbusines right now, but she keeps grimacing in her mug shots.

  • Julie Chase

In. She can get away with so much, I would hate this on almost anyone else.

  • quiltrx

IN, but I still think she’s looking too thin these days.

  • mmc

IN!  I’m also surprised I like this dress (the sheerness in the skirt usually being the deal breaker), but it’s working and she’s working it.

  • L.

IN!  The list of ladies on any planet who can pull off this dress is a low, single digit!

  • TheOriginalLulu

I kind of hate that dress, but I can’t say she doesn’t look amazing anyway. I agree about the jewelry. Earrings. Long, dangly ones.
    She’s IN.

  • Cathy S

    In. She does!

  • Tracy_Flick

In. She looks far better than the model.

  • Beardslee

  • Roey Thorpe

She’s beautiful but that hair is too tight.  She looks like she’s about to steal Christmas.

  • formerlyAnon

I think it’s mostly her. And the lighting. If the transparent part looked more transparent (in the skirt), it’d move back over the line into tacky.

  • Badriya Al-Badi’a

Love it, In In In!  Losing the belt took the dress from awkward to elegant.

    IN glorious IN.

in in in in in in in. I can’t say it enough!- Okay, I can- IN!

  • demidaemon

IN. She looks amazing, especially with the boy candy in the last pic.

  • Euphory

I never quite got the love for her.  She looks more emaciated than Angelina Jolie and has a semi-permanent sour expression more so than Kristen Stewart.  And her fashion choices are often just meh.  So what’s the magic with her?

  • Nels P. Highberg

Why isn’t she working that slit like Angelina Jolie?

  • TheVeryLivingEND

  • TheVeryLivingEND

When I grow up, I want to be as fierce as she.

  • PeaceBang

Holy cow, I can’t believe I’m loving this hideous dress. IN! And WELL-DONE, Madame.

  • LinXGUA

    Such an elegant lady. IN.

  • Renaissance_Man_ATL

IN!  I agree with the jewelery comments yet she is still FABULOUS!

  • Krysta

In.  And inexplicably, I love the crazy makeup on the model.

  • p. clementine

IN. Although she’s probably one of like five people in the world with the perfect proportions for these cutouts.
