Dsquared2 Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

Posted on June 12, 2012

Darlings, we don’t know what the mood is like where you are right now, but it’s muggy and hot and rainy and just all-around miserable outside the windows that overlook T Lo Estates. So, since it’s our names up there at the top, we reserve the right to post pictures of really good-looking people wearing great clothes and acting a little slutty because hey, sometimes that’s just what you need in the middle of your day.

DSquared2 Fall 2012 ad campaign photographed by Mert Alas & Marcus Pigott featuring models Bette Franke, Daphne Groeneveld, Frida Aisen, Liuk Bass, and Simon van Meervenne.

  • This is why God created Photoshop–cuz nobody looks this pretty in reality.

    • Maryann J. Ward

I have a place to put those stilettos if you don’t stop this shit

  • J D

I want that leopard riding hat from pic #2.  I also want the models to put their legs down.  There must be an easier way to show off the shoes.  Other than that, I feel like this is all pretty standard.  It looks like a slutty Banan Republic ad.

  • Love the pink jacket… so pretty!

  • formerlyAnon

Silly, but I enjoyed. It looks a lot like what might happen if the word went out on Facebook: Bring accessories for Senior Theme Friday! This week’s theme is Photo Shoot! (No dress code violations or Ms. Estrada WILL make you wear one of the giant t-shirts from the office).

  • crash1212

Love the glasses – sun and otherwise.

  • hughman

Well obviously there’s one Creative Director who hasn’t gotten the memo about Glee being old news.

    • AnaRoW

I don’t get a Glee vibe at all. I haven’t seen the movie in forever so I don’t really remember but I was thinking “To Sir With Love”.

  • clatie

Clothes are good but the photos are terrible.  Hate the sickly colored lighting, hate the composition.  Floor and chairs are busy and ugly.  UGH.

  • JosephLamour

I was really hoping for an “everyone puts their legs up like a dog near a fire hydrant” ad campaign. Mister Caten x 2, you’ve failed me.

  • MilaXX

Want the glasses in picture #6.

Thanks for making a mobile version of your site. I was out in all that nastiness today and this blog helped me pass the time while sitting in Doctor’s offices.

  • joything

I totally went to that high school.  And wore all of those glasses.  Really.

  • Lina_bee

I want that green sweater! Otherwise, I’m over here feeling somewhat ancient.

  • MightyMarshal

This setting is stupid. There’s a chic, fun retro-ness here that just looks odd surrounded by bad public school furniture. I could see MAYBE if it was a period accurate classroom. But this isn’t. Besides, 16 year olds don’t buy DSquared. They should have done some vintage diner or amusement park or car hop or mid century moder rancher with a kidney shaped pool. The classroom just looks oppressive and dull.

    • And you’re the winner of this round of “Whose comment will Maryann the Spammer choose to feature as the prologue to her spam?”!

      • HAHAHA!
On a side note, Maryann the Spammer is a great band name… or maybe the evil character of a cyberspace epic fantasy.

  • ChaCha_70

Um, I dunno. Those models all look sooo young. It’s a bit disturbing to me. Maybe that’s what they wanted?

  • mjude

ahhh youth.  love the cat glasses. actually love all of it in my youthful state of mind 🙂

  • LesYeuxHiboux

    Hipster orgy at the DMV.

  • snarkykitten

what the hell is with the cheap ass instagram look?

    • l3icest3r

I love the loden green sweater and the robin’s egg blue gloves. At least, I *think* that’s what color they are. :/

  • SpcilK

Love the Geek Chic eyewear and embellished pumps. Fun!

  • holdmewhileimnaked

the rest of it, eh, but i really love the oversize hornrims. like really love. enough to buy love.

  • Little_Olive

    Ehh pretty models and glasses.

The “back to Gossip Girl school collection” tone bothers me a bit.

  • Aly Light

How many different ways can humans lift their legs? Take a tour with DSquared, and find out!

  • aeg66

  • Love all the glasses!

  • Generic white people coming through. Girl, bye!!

    easy on the photoshop

  • PastryGoddess

I love those stilettos and would wear them every day if they were mine

    • Deb

THIS.  I’d cut a b!tch for those leopard print stilettos! (and I *hate* animal prints, but those… FIRCE!)

  • Isana Leshchinskaya

    those shoes are killa

  • nycfan

love the clothes, already sick of the catwoman sun glasses phase

  • Aurumgirl

Love the accessories, especially the shoes and the hats.  But I don’t think the classroom means anything more than “this is what my classroom looked like in the early 80’s, when we all wore stuff like this, just cheaper”.

  • Cat_In_A_Hat

Those heels in the 2nd picture are FIERCE!

  • TomBord

  • sleepycat

I kinda need those glasses in the 7th picture, which is great considering I probably need new glasses anyway, although the price tag might make them a tad unreasonable, so I will just go with Raybands.

  • anotherkate

Detention is so sexy. Love the shoes.

  • MzzPants

Do skinny lips exist any more???

  • I want to know where those sunglasses came from!!!

  • sesomai

Fabulous! It’s like a Molly Ringwald movie combined with Grease!

  • plinkiedoodle

Did this photographer just discover Instagram?

  • RebeccaKW

I need those sunglasses 2nd pic from the bottom (actually, it looks every woman wearing sunglasses is wearing these).

Nothing really ground breaking.  Now instead of groups of people in wildly expensive clothing in a club or on a beach, they are in a classroom.

  • Judy_J

Oh, how I covet those sunglasses!

  • Oh, just like MY high school *snort*

  • marilyn

All that work to make new clothes look like used.  And they succeeded.

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

    Where is this? The DMV?

  • guest2visits

Love all of it; the glasses, the jackets, the sweaters, the heels…

  • sweetj95

#4 has jiz on his pants.

  • aristida_girl

    I am loving those glasses!

  • This editorial doesn’t do it for me. The background is so busy and bright and it is used with color and style combinations that don’t match it. It feels like the models are all fighting to get into the shots like, “HEY! REMEMBER ME?”

  • Primi Ranola

I am just really loving everything pictured here. And I want all the cat eye glasses.
