In or Out: Jessica Alba in Alice + Olivia

Posted on May 01, 2012

This top is so super-cute it’s making even Jessica Alba crack a smile – and that happens about as often as an eclipse, darlings.

Jessica Alba attends the Lucky Magazine “FABB Conference” in a ‘Delray’ tie embellished crew neck sweater by Alice + Olivia and Topshop pants paired with Hoorsenbuhs for Forevermark diamond stud earrings and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.

Alice + Olivia Fall 2012 Collection

Please note that we said the top was super-cute. The jury’s still out on the pants. In fact, you’re the jury on this one. We like the overall look because it’s got personality and that’s something of which she’s never been in abundance, to put it mildly. But those pants are tough to pull off (although truth be told, we think she might be managing it) and those shoes are awfully focus-pulling. Plus – and we rarely get this far into it – the nail color is kind of distracting. It’s like this could have been super-polished and put-together, but a couple minor details are pulling the eye.

Vote Now!

IN! She’s smiling!

OUT! My eyes!

In other minion opinion news, Ginnifer Goodwin’s toilet bowl brush was voted OUT and Freida Pinto’s smart little pantsuit was voted IN.

  • Twee. No.

    • Spicytomato1

More like wanna-be twee than genuine twee. I think.

      • I’ll agree with you on that. Regardless, this lady has kids. She has no business attempting a Zooey type getup. Be a grown ass woman! It is a great thing to be.

        • Pannyx

I think she looks great and this is in no way anything Zooey would wear. I don’t see why you don’t think a grown ass woman should wear this. I’m just really confused.

          • Maybe it reminds me of middle school, when my mother made me wear cutesy sweaters that had bits of sparkle like this.

I think I’m comparing this to the lovely grey chic outfit from earlier today. That is more Jessica Alba. Wonder woman. Etc. Anything that gives me flashbacks to middle school causes a negative reaction for me, I guess. Those were rough times…

        •  No way. Her face resembles that of an 18 year old’s and it has nothing to do with the actual clothing. Even if she does have kids, she certainly doesn’t look like she does, which excuses any youth.

  • HomeOfficeGirl

In.  Another sassy in grey girl.  I like it.

    • Jill_3

       IN. Sassy to the max.

  • That sweater belongs in Chloe Moretz’s closet, not Jessica Alba’s. Out.

  • IN.

  • butterflysunita

OUT.  The top is cute, but the ensemble hurts my eyes.

    • introspective

my sentiments exactly. The top’s cute enough. The pants are suspect. those horrid shoes send the whole thing off a cliff.

sorry jess but me no likey. OUT

      • I am already so over the unrelated “pop of color” shoes. Are we going to see random colors just thrown at outfits all summer because someone decided every get-up needs them? If someone jumps off a bridge…?

  • I think she looks cute here- IN.

  • amf0001

from the waist up,  she’s lovely,  from the waist down,  it doesn’t work for me.  I have no opinion either way on the nails.
But the top is so cute on the model,  with that skirt, and it does lose something with those pants. The shoes are just wrong (maybe they should have been lilac,  like the nails…)

But today is the day for girls in grey…

  • newleaf1

Top yes.  Shoes yes.  Pants – no no no.

  • MilaXX

small IN I like the outfit, but I wish she was wearing a different shoe. I don’t think and orange pump, much less a two toned one is called for. The nails are close enough in tone to get a pass from me.

  • altalinda

    Very cute.  In.

  • jenawesome

In.  But I think flats would have served the look better and while I love the nail color in general, it totally clashes with the shoes.

  • howdoilook

    I’m a fan! In.

  • Sobaika Mirza

She looks great! Loving the heels.

  • Love the top, like the shoes, desperately want to set the pants on fire!  O to UT!

  • In, because she is gorgeous and the top is fun and it is such a difference from her usual attire. I do not mind the nail polish, her hair and makeup are lovely and the shoes are, well, a little bright.  (But what should she wear?  Orange is, I think, a nice idea, but those are seriously bright.)

  • In – That sweater has me firmly in it’s thrall, and pulls my eye up to her lovely face and shiny hair.

  • OUT. Except for her hair. That’s some shiny Breck-girl goodness right there.

  • That’s what you call a scrolldown fug. Great top. Hiddy pants.

    • NC_Meg

You took the words right out of my mouth! Totally cute until you hit the waist. It’s all downhill from there. Out.

  • schadenfreudelicious

from the waist up she looks great, the pants however are horrific and orange spectator pumps just dont work (i would have opted for a cute ballet flat), i’m afraid overall it’s an OUT

  • marilyn

Out.  The shoes are too distracting, the tight pants do not work with the top.  The flirty skirt on the runway model carries it off.

  • jw_ny

The pants are the only thing I like.  Hate the top, and dislike that shoe paired with this outfit.

  • I think this would’ve been better without the colorful shoes, but they’re so awesome I understand why she couldn’t turn them down. Plus, I think the pants are fun, without being ridiculous. I would sort of like a pair. IN.

  • janetjb

I like her shoes and her pants, but not together.

  • in. come on people.

  • Laurie Bergman

    None of it.  Out.

  • Joyce VG

    OUT.  Good lord.

  • OUT but just barely. The top is super cute, and I like the pants just not with that top. And the shoes? Ugh. Ly. And it really suffers in comparison to the model’s outfit, which I love and would kill for those shoes.

  • Judy_J

I love that top, and I love the shoes.  I even like those pants, but not with that top and those shoes. For the unfortunate pairing, I’m saying OUT.

  • TheLaurenJean

Out. I actually like the nail polish, but this just looks sloppy and like Victoria Secret’s Pink PJ collection.

  • oatmealpie

Out. It just doesn’t go together, and she isn’t selling it.

  • LuisaNL

In. that sweater is beyond adorable. not sure about the pants and the shoes but somehow it all works. maybe it’s the smile.

  • kckris

The nail polish and the shoes kill this look.  OUT

  • Kayceed

Out. I’d prefer this on a teenager wearing flats.

  • Sarah Dickerson

OUT.  I hate it all, especially that top.  Yuck.

  • Rebecca Johnson

Busy top, busy pants, busy shoes, and none of them are busy in the same way. And now I’ve used busy so many times that it’s lost all meaning, so OUT.

  • BazoDee

OUT!!! I was so excited when I saw the headline because I’m just loving alice + olivia these days and was met with major scroll-down let down. So cute on top and then I wanted to go screaming when I saw the pants.

  • DCSheehan

Out. The only thing I like is the model’s skirt. JA looks pretty though, just not good from the neck down.

  • Lizzyisi

Out–she’s wearing an 8 year old’s clothes and an 80 year old’s shoes.

    Hair and make-up are gorgeous.

  • OUT. Because of the pants alone.

  • Sue_Asponte

Out. It looks like three different outfits. Four, if you include the nail polish. All very cute outfits, though.

  • Kacper Nedza

To borrow from Fug Girls parlance, this is a classic example of scrolldown fug. The top is adorable, the pants are bad and the shoes are all wrong for this look.

I may be biased by how much I dislike her, though – she’s such a non-entity.

  • benjamin478

im not even hung up on the minor details. the nails are fine. she’s pulling off the pants even though i wouldn’t pair the top and the pants. like having some color in the shoes. she looks great i think. IN

  • NO!!  OUT!!!  From the waist up, she’s very cute, but those pants?  No.

  • OUT.  I just can’t like it.  Those shoes were the definite deal breaker.

  • In. Cute look.

  • kimmeister

Out.  Cute top, cute shoes, just not together.  (I don’t think coral is the right color to pop with gray).  This juror says NAY on the pants.

  • Michael Telles

She didn’t recreate the look, and added some interesting elements. Those pants could use some help with the fit, but it’s a nice contrast to the sweater. I didn’t even notice the nail polish till you mentioned it. She wore a creative look and made it work. IN

  • RebeccaKW

I’m in love with that sweater and I need it now!  The pants are kind of cute, and I like it with the sweater.  I do wish they were a bit shorter or a bit longer, though.  Hair/makeup look good, she’s (sort of) smiling.  But the shoes are killing me. They do not belong here-there is too much going on already w/o those shoes.  However.  I’m going with In b/c the overall effect is cute.  But seriously, I hate those shoes.

  • i kinda dig it. especially the shoe. IN.

  • NatalieD28

  • Sara__B

I like all the parts separately, but not so much when put together. Mildly OUT.

  • belfebe

OUT.  Those shoes really ruin the whole thing.  The jury is still out on the pants… Love the top though.

  • I think I would’ve gone for it despite the QR-code pants if it wasn’t for the cream on the shoes.  The rest of the outfit has white.  This bugs me immensely.  OUT.

  • jilly_d

IN! super cute.  Love grey & coral together.

  • IN! I think the nails and shoes were well intentioned/aimed toward being on trend. She just got a little excited

  • BrooklynBomber

I wish she would PULL OFF the pants and replace them with something else. OUT.

  • Jessi03

OUT.  Such a shame.  The top half is so cute!

  • I like each piece on its own, but not all together.

  • I love it all. IN.

  • In!

  • Nicole Runde

  • Aly Light

Those pants remind me of TV static, and they’re kinda clingy, and I don’t think the elevate the top enough (you say cute, I say cheap and done.) OUT.

  • Athenrein

If those pants had a straight leg and were full-length, I’d like this outfit. As-is, I think there’s too much going on. I really want to like it but I can’t.

  • poggi

In.  I like the color of the shoe but I wish it was plain, without the toe cap detail.  I don’t love the nails.  And the pants are fine, for her (and probably very few others).

  • Terence Ng

    Cute and different. IN.

  • giiiirrrr

Fake ties and tux fronts on T-shirts are really awful.  Love the shoes, tho.  Still, Out.

    • mountainFashionista

Yes, this sweater immediately made me think of ties with piano keys on them, as well as the aforementioned tux tees.  I can’t believe so many people here like it.  I’m not usually so out of step with my fellow kittens!

  • Jessica Rowe

Meh.  It’s like it all doesn’t go together.  It’s not terribly bad, it’s just slightly not right.

  • I love all the pieces but not together. Still, I got free Starbucks and a filled cookie jar, so I’m giving that pretty smile an IN.

  • ErmengardeGreen

It is a bit like a cute top surrounded by a trend array: patterned pants, those currently-everywhere cap-toe shoes and pastel nails. If I had to nix anything it’d be the shoes (though I’m in debate with myself about what I’d swap them out for: maybe a black ballet flat or a black stacked-heel loafer, but my tendencies might be too practical); too loud, and their tips look cream to me. But all that said, I still think she’s pulling this look off.

  • I kinda like the pants and top separately, not sure how I feel about them together. But I’ll give her an IN for effort I guess.

  • Lilithcat

A different pair of shoes would help.

  • No, she is adorable, but the outfit is a kid’s costume of some kind.

  • Laylalola

OUT. Every individual aspect, including the hair styling, each belongs with another look entirely.

  • Meh, I think it’s an out. But those shoes are TO DIE FOR.

  • guestela

  • AlexisPayne

I was at this event and it was a perfect little look, I say IN!

  • Shoes should be different, but still an IN from me!

  • Out. I hate the top and love the shoes.

  • Maluca

Hate her, love the outfit. IN.

  • SneakyKitty

Gotta admit that I was expecting a skirt ’till I scrolled down.  The pants are growing on me the more I look at it, and I actually think the shoes are the perfect accent of color for this outfit.  Plus she looks adorable when smiling.  In.

  • OUT. Don’t care for the faux tie thing. Or the pants. Or the shoes. Like the hair, though.

  • ccm800

    nAYE yi yi!

  • IN! Adorable.

  • A_Rimbaud

(Are you guys being sarcastic about the smile?  Because I very rarely see photos of Alba without her brilliant white smile.)

IN, I don’t like the outfit but she’s pulling it off. The shoes are a nice touch.

  • TSkot

I don’t even like the top.  OUT

  • hughman

The top is cute but I also can’t help but think it’s something Kurt from Glee would try to get away with.

    • mountainFashionista

  • nannypoo

I don’t like the pants and the shoes don’t make any sense with the outfit. I like the way the top is worn by the model, but Jessica’s styling choices do absolutely nothing for it.

  • I like it *ducks*. IN!

  • Out. those pants are for picking up dry cleaning. I was ‘Okay” til I hit those shoes, then owwww, out.

  • Cathy S

That top is much cuter with the skirt the model is wearing; it gives it some balance. The pants might be fine on their own, but not with this top. And the shoes are no. Out.

  • SapphoPoet

In. But I’m marginal on the pants. I think the top works better with the polka dot skirt–something about the proportion of the pant’s print seems off with the tie.

  • ThaliaMenninger

Not crazy about the shoes, but Imma give her an IN. She looks pretty cute overall.

  • mmc

OUT.  It’s not working for me.  At first glance, I thought the collar + tie on the top are trying too hard to be cute, and the bottom half of Jessica’s outfit is not working with it.

Then, I scrolled down, saw the top on the model, and did a little gasp.  Now, THAT works.  Still trying hard to be cute, but it’s actually cute with that fun skirt and shoes.

  • SpcilK

In- Cute, she’s pulling it off.

  • Courtney Brown

  • I tend to think Alice+Olivia looks are a bit twee in general. I’m with Democracy Diva that this would be great on Chloe Moretz. And with nannypoo’s remark that the shoes and pants don’t make any sense with the top. As for nails, I like the color but love the model’s metallic gold or gunmetal.

But I give the makeup and hair an A.

  • Jennifer Hofstetter

    Totally IN.

  • Cute enough for a set of pants. IN

  • Allison Evans

In! I don’t love the shoes. But I think she’s totally pulling off those pants in a way that I never could.

  • mjude

  • PeaceBang

So very OUT. She doesn’t have the personality to carry ANY of this off — even the nail polish.

  • IN! She looks adorable!

  • TheOriginalLulu

I think she looks adorable, but I do prefer the look with the skirt.
Love the shoes and the nail polish and her hair looks great. IN

  • I agree about the nail polish, and I don’t even like this chick, but I think she looks terrific.  IN.

  • Monabel

    All but the shoes.

  • Beardslee

    close but no cigar

  • Loathe. Out. I’m always interested in seeing more shots of the models from that line, though. They always look terrified/terrifying and I find them amusing in a very disturbing way.

  • IN! I am loving it!

(Or I might just be in a good mood after that Fassbender post.)

  • rainwood1

OUT.  Hate the faux tie top and the pants and shoes.

  • judybrowni

OUT, looks like she pulled not-quite matching separates out of different racks at Forever 21: no to the orange heels, too.

  • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

IN.  She’s cute and comfortable.  Hair and makeup are good.  I’m just ignoring the shoes.

  • Stefanos Mantyla

Oh… IN, I suppose. I love the sweater. It reminds of some of my own clothes. Even if the pants suffer from the same problem as Freida’s did. And the shoes are clearly wrong. Not bothered by the nails, but I guess you have to be gay to be bothered; who knows?

  • Scarlet39

IN, I guess.  It’s not my personal taste, but there is something cute about it.  It looks like something the staff at Lucky magazine would style.

  • IN.

  • In.  More ironic than she is, probably, but I like it.

  • Pannyx

    A big IN from me.

  • NurseEllen

The nail polish doesn’t bother me, but those shoes……    The top is adorable.  She should have stuck with the polka dot skirt and risked Minnie Mouse comparisons, rather than going for the eyeball-wearying print on those slacks.  If she wants to dress successfully in shades of gray she should see your previous post on Emily Van Camp for guidance. Sorry, Jess: OUT.

  • Not a look that I could/would rock, but I think she is pulling it off. IN!

  • Daniele Paulding

I am no fan of hers, but I think she’s pulling it off. In.

  • Lina_bee

In. I LOVE me some mod and this suits her much better than most of the other stuff she goes out in. Granted, I’m dubious about the shoe choice, but at least they’re fun?

  • StrandedFashionista

The printed pants spoil what otherwise would have been a VERY cute look, and I hate the shoes with the look. Unfortunately, OUT.

  • TheOtherChristina

I love all of these pieces, although I don’t love them together. Still, she looks cute and cheerful and the outfit is passable, so I’ll say IN.

  • annrr

She’s pulling it of but I’d like it better with a different pair of pants. I just got a mani and almost got that color, its new

  • merciblahblah

Love the whole damn thing – sweater, check. Pants. HELL to the check. Shoes, uh, YES PLEASE, and the lilac nail polish. Incidentally, in response to previous comments, I am a grown ass woman with three 3-year olds and would wear this in a hot minute.

  • Grace Ritt

IN–I think she looks pretty hip.

  • The tie part reminds me of a bad jazz costume I once had to wear for a jr high dance recital.

  • PeggyOC

Out.  The pants are hidi-fug, and that’s not the top to pair with them.  Jess isn’t well suited to twee.  Give that sweater back to Taylor Swift, Zoey D or Michele Williams.

  • Kate4queen

    Out , Just No.

  • lesmaha

The pants were on the line, but those shoes pushed it over into OUT.

  • AthenaJ

Sorry, but that fake tie top is a supremely annoying combination of twee and cheesy, which I hereby call ‘tweesy’.

  • tired_mommy

Slightly out. Seems like someone else’s outfit.

  • Beth G

    Out.  Too cutsie.

  • OUT. OUT OUT OUT. I really hate the sweater, loathe the pants and abominate the shoes. Good hair though.

  • understateddiva

too many things competing.  A for effort, but out.

  • out. no pants, the shoes are bad, and i agree on the nailpolish too.

  • lizajane1776

Small out here. Yes she is smiling. And yes, she is gorgeous. But the style is just too…twee?.. for her. She is trying to make it edgy by the Ikat pants, but no. Not quite. Give it to a teenager.
eta: Looked again. It just is that the two pieces don’t go. Those leggins aren’t horrid, but she feels the need to pull the shirt down so there is no gaposis. Shusshed as the model is, it works better. Still out.

  • sagecreek

Yeah, out. Not by much — I could have forgiven the pants, or the shoes, but not both.

  • OUT. There is nothing cute about that outfit, not even Ms. Alba herself. It makes her hips look like she hasn’t worked out in a year and her bust look small.

  • butter nut

no no no no no no no no no no no OUT

  • calimon

BLEH! Looks like every part of her is from an entirely different look… it’s almsot dizzying. I think I’m gonna go lose my lunch now :o/

  • Anathema_Device

I just realized that I hate tops with faux-whatevers on them…like the faux collar and tie here. I like the pants, though. Don’t care for the shoes. I guess that adds up to an Out.

  • In! I think she’s managing the pants. They’re not my favorite, but I think they really help keep the sweater from going into twee-as-fuck-land. She looks great.

  • In! Give me this outfit to wear, Jess.

  • Would have changed the shoes, but that’s not enough to make it an out.  IN!

  • cleep1000

OUT. The shoes ruin whatever chances it had.

  • Andrea Rossillon

out. the top is not cute.

  • Kolo_Ol

Those pants are too tight for this tight sweater

  • Super_Red

love the sweater/smile/hair/makeup. Hate the pants/shoes. I don’t actually mind the nail polish- It’s kind of cute actually. Fun without being too funky.

Technically I like more than I hate, but i really, really, really hate those pants/shoes. Plus I freaking adore that polka dot skirt on the model. That really doesn’t have anything to do with the judging of this outfit, but I’m using it as criteria anyway. I think I have to say Out…. but Jess… keep it up. The smiling thing, mmkay?

P.S. Did I mention how much I freaking adore that sweater/polka dot skirt. I’m totally having an Alice + Olivia moment. With maybe one exception, everytime a celeb has stepped out in A+O recently, I’ve desperately wanted it for my wardrobe. Also, also, celebs as a whole are stepping out in A+O quite a bit recently aren’t they? Oh well… too bad my pocketbook isn’t having an Alice + Olivia moment. Granted, this from a girl who wore a “+20 shirt of smiting” tee last night…. 😉

  • DebbieLovesShoes

  • holdmewhileimnaked

i cannot say the pants dont look good on her but the whole outfit is a mess &, while i love the sweater, the effect it has combo’d up w/ the rest of it is way too twee for somebody who has two kids. i mean, it’s twee-er than what michelle williams wears & that’s really saying something. dawadawada*.

    *i’m tired.

  • IN! Like it overall, so I’ll give it to her.

  • Prefer it with the skirt, but an IN nonetheless.

  • Nonnah

A little off, but In.  I kind of dig it.

  • TieDye64

    Oh, hell no! Awful. O-U-T!

  • I like it. IIIIN!!

  • I love the shoes.  The nail polish, not so much.  But those shoes are fabulous.

  • In.  By god she’s pulling it off.

  • erinbinek

I love everything, even the nail polish.  And the shoes want to be mine.  Now if only I could figure out how to get them into my closet…

  • Jangle57

Yes, no, no (top, pants, shoes) – so no, OUT

  • crash1212

Love the top. Love the pants. Love the shoes. Do not love them together. OUT.

I so totally love the polka dot skirt on the model – WANT.

  • formerlyAnon

    Out. I can’t tell you why. It’s – it’s – it’s – it’s –

It looks like an ironic 21st century hipster’s attempt at a Laura Petrie costume. With the wrong hair. Or something.

    Just wrong, somehow.

  • i saw this on my instagram this morning and it’s been the best part of my day. need those shoes. love the styling–i think the pants fit her perfectly and keep the outfit from being twee, like the model in the skirt is.

  • librarygrrl64

    Scroll-down fug. OUT.

  • golspie

    It’s pyjamas.

  • CQAussie

    Schizo outfit.  OUT.

  • demidaemon

IN on the top and shoes–I like the pop of color–the pants I have issues with. I think they overwhelm the outfit more than the shoes do. An IN I think, but barely.

  • GTrain

I think it works for her. IN

  • unbornfawn

Love the smile. I HATE the top. It looks silly. I kinda like the shoes, with another outfit. OUT!

  • SRQkitten

  • i LOOOOOVE the shirt. IN! (the pants are alright but the shirt just rules)

  • She looks so cute! It’s too bad about those pants though.  I’d say a baby “in” because she could’ve done better than that.  And super dee duper cute cardigan.  TLo should’ve picked up the Parenting magazine with her in it because all she does is smile.  I mean, who can’t help but smile around their babies?

  • From the waist up she’s Mary Tyler Moore 1971.  From the waste down she’s the B52’s….  Hmmmmmmmm.  I am giving her a shaky IN…

  • bellafigura1

I like the top, I like the pants, but I don’t like them together.  The top looks great with the poofy polka dot skirt, and the pants need a floaty blouse/blazer combo.  That is all.

  • RedRaven617

Love the top and the shoes; the pants are meh. I’m going with In

  • Peri7473

  • Susan Crawford

I’ll say “in” – not IN, but “in”. LOVE the top and the shoes are outrageously fabulous. The pants are certainly OK, but nothing near as special as that top deserves. And I sort of like the nail color . . . although it does look as though she has a case of Reynaud’s Syndrome. And she’s smiling and her hair is terrific.

  • a_liking

in. I actually love the pants way more than the top, but it’s still pretty cute.

  • The pants are the *least* offensive of the three!

  • Sophie Collier

OUT.  It’s not a flattering look for her.  She just doesn’t do cutesy very convincingly.  Emma Watson maybe could work this look, but even then I’d still be sneering at the pants.  Those are just fugly pants.

  • The top needs the rest of the show choir (and more jazz hands).

  • IN. It looks like it shouldn’t work, but this is all kinds of sassy.

  • SatelliteAlice

I LOVE the top.  Let me get that out of the way.  The shoes I also love… but not with this.  They pull so much focus in an already slightly cluttered outfit that I just get confused.  A pair of black classic shoes would have gone a long long way to help this out. I am going to say OUT due to shoes but it is really a shirt pants shoes combo because they don’t work together without some kind of grounding.

  • ChristySchiff

Nope.  OUT.  I think the sweater’s fun, but it doesn’t look right here.  Those pants are terrible and the shoes seem to come out of left field.  I appreciate Ms. Alba’s efforts to lighten up, but effort is not enough today.

  • RzYoung

The top is adorbs! I love the shoes with it and I’ve got a mega soft spot for those skin tight patterny pants. I agree about the nails though. IN from me

    • Thathoodwink

      • RzYoung

        Adorable 😀 …well I like it.

        • Thathoodwink

I know that it’s short for adorable. I’m sorry; those kind of shortcut words set my teeth on edge. I go ballistic when I hear the word “veggies” used in my presence.  Or read it in professionally edited writing.  ;o)

  • LordZoe

the top would have been better a size larger –  a little baggy like on the model.

  • She looks super cute. IN.

  • greenwich_matron

out. The top is from the 2010 Gymoboree collection. My eight year old might wear it, and it would certainly fit her. The pants are a bad joke from the eighties.

  • Eva_baby

    OUT.  Classic scroll-down fug.

  • In, although I really don’t like those shoes with this look.

  • tsid2012

Totally IN.  I think she looks very cute, pretty polished and interesting while avoiding “crazytown”.  Agreed, not crazy about the nail color but I’m in the “clear polish, all the time” camp except for certain evening special events.

Very Junior’s Department at Macy’s. The whole outfit looks like a cast off from the costuming department at GLEE>

  • Haley Buchanan

The shirt looks like one of those “tuxedo t-shirts” that frat dudes wear.  No, no, no.  OUT.  But, save those shoes for another outfit.  They’re potentially super cute in the right environment!

  • MarissaLG

Out. She looks stupid. At least the model is styled with a sense of humor and whimsy, Jessica just looks…sad.

Not crazy about the shirt, but it’s okay.
Didn’t notice the nail polish, so whatever.
Yuck on the pants; I think they make her look a bit wide in the seat.
    The shoes don’t belong.

  • Nariya

In. I like the pants and the shoes. But once you mentioned the nails, I couldn’t stop looking at them.

  • Sunshine16

Could have given it an in if the pants & shoes weren’t competing…Out

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

    OUT.  I have Pants Hatred.

  • KathKo

I’d love to give her an In. The top is uber cute and I fancy that nail color.
I don’t mind the shoes but thoses pants.
Argh, that’s a tough one because only the pants are to be lost but they actually manage to ruine the look !
Screw that, I’m gonna hide the pants with my hand over my eyes and give the smiling lady an In.

  • Quirky and cute without being contrived. IN

  • Out. Love the top, and love the look on the model. Those pants offend my delicate sensibilities.

  • Out. The model looks no better. I don’t know what would go with that top, but these pictures haven’t found it. Maybe a simple black pencil skirt? Something kind of Mad Style but cartoony? I love her in gray, but this is somewhere between showy and too jokey.

  • FayeKat

    I like it. IN

  • Rei Carter

In, I think she’s pulling it off and she looks comfortable and happy.

  • up with pod people

    I love it.

  • I like each piece separately and they all suit her,  but she should have picked either the top or the pants or the does and built a chicer, simpler outfit around them. All together it’s a mess, she looks like she’s trying way to hard.

  • guest2visits

All three pieces are nice, especially the shoes. I just don’t like the top and bottom together; even though it seems
    like they should work.

  • Love the top, love the shoes, she RUINED it with the pants. Out. Go home and put on pants that don’t look like jeggings, Jess, then we’ll talk.

  • oohsparkley!

  • I like it overal, EXCEPT the shoes…if she had chosen something in the same color family, like possibly the lilac on her nails, she would be on point, but those little cigarette capris & that cute top is a fun casual look

  • LOVE! YES! IN!
