Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas in NYC

Posted on May 14, 2012

Darlings, we’ll be honest. We’re just slapping these pictures up to give all the kittens a space to chat about last night’s Once Upon a Time finale and to make fun of Snow White’s and Prince Charming’s street attire, of course.

Ginnifer Goodwin seen strolling hand in hand with boyfriend Josh Dallas in Soho New York City. Ginnifer Goodwin is wearing an Étoile Isabel Marant jumpsuit.

Étoile Isabel Marant ‘Jane’ floral-print cotton and silk-blend jumpsuit

Oh, Josh. We’ve been there. The day’s a bit windier than you expected it to be; the shirt’s just a bit clingier than you realized, and the next thing you know, you’ve got your high beams on for the world to see. What’s a man to do? Luckily, your girlfriend/co-star is dressed like a deranged grade school teacher in 1981, which means the focus is easily taken off your raging case of nipplitis.

Also, this doesn’t look staged and self-conscious AT ALL.

what is this i don’t even

  • Sobaika

Baggy floral jumpsuit. No matter how much I stare at it a part of me still refuses to believe it.

    • kimmeister

I can’t believe that she PEGGED the pants as well.

    • JMB_edits

Pajamas.  That’s what I’m telling myself.

    • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

Yep.  Baggy floral jumpsuit that looks like pj’s.  Soooooo bad.

      • Flooby

I’ve never yet been able to get the Isabel Marant love- her stuff always look poorly designed to me.  Though this is a personal nadir.

  • hughman

It’s like a Virginia Slims ad meets an International Male Catalogue.

    • Perfect summary! lol

    • Yes. That is EXACTLY what it is like.

    • Vlasta Bubinka

Would love to hear Nick Verreos say this in the style of his line from season 2, “It’s like international male gone g-g-g-gay.”

    • JaneDC

      You nailed it!

  • quiltrx

I don’t know which I believe least…that she is wearing that monstrosity, or that some fashion designer recently created it.

    • Jessi03

Maybe it’s supposed to be pajamas….?  At least it’s better than I originally thought when I looked at it.  I thought her hand in her pocket was exposed hip and that it was open at the sides.  Quel horror!

      • They do look like pjs! Also, I had no idea they were a rl couple (I don’t pay much attention to that sort of thing).

Thought the finale was much better than most of the episodes. They finally did something, people showed emotions. Emma and Regina should fight more often.

  • their coupling on the show is so boring and played out, and now they are just as boring and dated in real life. Rumpelstiltskin and Belle is all I’m interested in at this point.

  • bitchybitchybitchy

I think Ginnifer has made the mistake of wearing what her character on Big Love would have considered designer Sister Wife wear.

    •  Her character dresses much better than this!

      • Yeah, Margene dresses totally cute and sassy. She would never go out in a giant pajama onesie.

        • Cathy S

Giant pajama onesie. That’s just brilliant.

  • gsk241

I like her bag, but those floral jammies with a belt just don’t work for me at all.

  • Bless their hearts.

    • Call me Bee

That’s, like, a Southern insult, right?  If so, I agree.

      • janiemary

Yes… in the South, you can say just about anything about anybody as long as you follow it with “Bless her/his heart”.

  • MilaXX

Shame this is the pic you guys featured. Another website has been showing them all week and she’s been doing okay. I was starting to think she was one of those gals who do causal attire better than RC looks and then this pic pops up. As much as I would like to, I simply cannot defend this outfit. It is fugly and no one over 5 years old would be wearing it. He looks find except for his nips.

As for the show. I *REALLY* liked last night’s ending. I immediately caught the “true love’s kiss” angle and even caught myself screaming at Emma to kiss the kid and save him. Depend it’s cheesiness, I like this show and I’m glad it was saved from the bloodbath of show cancellations this season. My only concern is how the show can contain itself now that the curse has been broken.

    • EspyRants

I got the whole true love’s kiss thing as well…what I didn’t anticipate was the giant rainbow wave that immediately followed. I have no idea why it made me so happy. There was like a huge slasher smile on my face.

  • Sophie Collier

Oh god, adult rompers are back?

    • formerlyAnon

Not if I can help it.

Denial may be my only weapon, but if so, I shall wield it.

  • Sobaika

In regards to Once Upon A Time, Prince Charming looks more attractive here than he ever did on the show. Absolute zero screen presence. And the same can be said for practically the entire cast. At least they’ve managed to ramp things up plotwise. If the show didn’t have Rumpelstiltskin I’m positive it wouldn’t have lasted even this long.

    • RebeccaKW

       Mr. Gold-love love love him.

    • cteeny21

Agreed! Rumpelstiltskin is by far the best character on the show!

  • VanessaDK

TLo– Can’t recall any non-hetero couples on the street pics.  I’m not even looking for anyone in particular, but it would be fun to change up a little bit and see how the girls and guys present themselves.  Apologies if I misremember….

  • SewingSiren

My kids LOVE Once Upon A Time. I thought the finale was very good. A lot happened and they did a good set up for next season. I knew that the true love kiss for Henry would be that of his mother.
I had no idea that these two were real life bf and gf. You can’t tell by the chemistry on the show.

    • Breatheinthegood

I almost thought it was a shame that they didn’t have the curse be broken by Regina- his mother for 10-ish years. I know she does some truly horrible things but you never see her do anything negative in her relationship with Henry. I find it strange how he has so much blind hostility towards her.

      • kcliff

I think the fact that she totally gaslights him the entire season is pretty horrific and abusive, actually. She knows he is correct about everyone being fairy tale characters, yet sends him to therapy and leads him and everyone else around him to think that he is having mental problems (despite Henry’s utter conviction that he’s right as  years went on who knows what could’ve happened had that continued?) It’s extremely damaging. And he’s clearly terrified of her. There are all kinds of abuse.

        • Serenachan

Yes. Not to mention how she totally tried to poison his biomom knowing how much he loves her.

  • Laura Korth

What the hell is she wearing? How does she think this is ok?

  • I’m not sure what’s worse, that a designer label created that jumpsuit or that a celebrity would wear it in public.  Not even Rosie could make that jumpsuit look good.  And Josh Dallas – sometimes he looks really hot to me on Once Upon a Time, and then other times I can’t figure out what the casting director was thinking when s/he decided to cast Josh as Prince Charming.

And last night was kind of a jolt after several weeks of treading water with the show.  While I appreciated the quick moving along on the plot and the curse actually getting broken, they really needed to do a 90 minute show to do it justice. It was kind of crazy horses.

    • RebeccaKW

I really like him as Prince Charming, as opposed to David.  He just seems lost and emotionless in the real world.  At least as the Prince, he gets to act princely, and that gives him a little depth.

    • formerlyAnon

I think he’s perfect as Prince Charming. Mostly cardboard cutout, with a little bit of personality breaking through occasionally. As David, not so much. The cardboard part really only worked when he was in the coma.

  • GenieinTX

I didn’t know they were dating.  I think she makes that jumpsuit look way better than the model did.  Sure it’s busy, but it’s kind of cute.As for the finale – I was shocked.  I can’t believe they had Emma break the curse at the end of Season One.  I thought for sure they would drag this out until Mary Margaret and James fell in love for real in the real world.  I guess they had to just in case it didn’t get picked up for season two.  I thought Emma kissing Henry as the curse breaker was a little lame, but overall I loved it.    Emma slayed a dragon and everyone is in love.  Too bad it didn’t last longer before Rumple screwed everyone.

    • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

I liked it too.  I would have loved to see Emma punch Regina in the nose, even more!  😉

    • courtneu

  • kikisayshi

At first I was thinking, “Oh, pajamas”. Then I quickly realized that I would not even give that piece of material the privilege to be worn in the dark where no one can see. I can’t, however, get mad at a snug shirt on that guy on a windy day. It just makes me want to know what’s under there. 🙂

  • Spicytomato1

As bad as her jumpsuit and clunky sandals are, I think her hairstyle is worse. I just can’t anymore. She looks like a grandma who wants a “wash and go” hairdo with no consideration given to aesthetics. It’s just too severe. She needs to grow it out even if only slightly so that it’s softer because this harshness does her no favors. Mia Farrow — or even Michelle Williams — she is not.

    • MilaXX

I like the short hair. I think she needs to go shorter, and taper the sides and ends a bit. Then she can spike it with some bead head pomade.  I saw a repeat of “He’s just not that into you” and her hair was longer and I feel it made her look like any generic starlet. I also think it made her face look fatter, which I am sure is one of the reasons why she cut it shorter to begin with.

      • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

I like it short too, MilaXX – I think she’s adorable, but that outfit is just ughh.

  • MoHub

I had those pants 30 years ago.

  • I like Ginnifer because she takes risks on the red carpet….even if she misses the mark 90% of the time, at least she’s trying!

  • Pants_are_a_must

Is Ginnifer Goodwin cosplaying as Robyn? Because that is a damn good attempt at it.

  • granddelusion

She is inherently so cute, yet she’s always shooting herself in the foot.

    • Yes. On Big Love? Adorable! In Something Borrowed, which wasn’t very good but she totally sold? So charming and cute! She is lovely and talented, but oh my god she has one of the worst celebrity styles I’ve ever seen.

  • Why, Ginnifer? We get it, you’re edgy and experimental. But when you pick an outfit, it still has to be flattering. Even Lady Gaga eventually figured it out.

  • Amy

It’s so nice to have something to laugh at on a stressful Monday afternoon. Especially when it involves a scary jumper.

  • marilyn

She is too hippy to wear that.  Also, they look like pajamas. Ginnifer is petite, and leans towards dowdy clothes. She needs a stylist and to throw away those Penneys catalogs.

  • Scarlet39

The most horrifying thing about that jumpsuit (other than the fact that it even exists) is that it’s $900!

  • 3boysful

I am dying just imagining how you have to un-do all those buttons and the tie every time you want to pee!  And also, hanging onto the sleeves while you’re doing your business!

Way too much trouble for an unattractive look!

    • Le_Sigh

Maybe there’s a butt-flap in back for that purpose!  That would at least make the horrid thing a bit more interesting.

      • AthenaJ

Reading the phrase ‘butt-flap’ has given me a smile during my otherwise crappy day.

  • Wow. There is not a single thing about her outfit that works.  Maaaaaaaaaybe the sunglasses, but their proximity to the jumpsuit of horror ruins them.

  • RebeccaKW

He looks pretty good, for a casual man look.  Her look is hideous and needs holy water thrown on it immediately.

  • VeryClaire

Actually, in an attempt not to look at the horror of the jump suit, all I could see was nipples.

  • Isy

This new pajamas as street wear is extremely unnerving. I thoroughly disapprove.

  • Wendi126

Why is she wearing her bag like that? Doesn’t it keep crotch bouncing every time she takes a step? The whole thing is really bad. I saw a denim jumpsuit at Anthropoligie the other day and did shudders remembering how ugly they were in the 70’s and a total pain in the ass to wear. Every time you have to pee, the whole thing has to come off and down and then it drags on the floor. Along with the macramé belt of course.

    • formerlyAnon

Peeing after the third drink. In heels. In a crummy club toilet.  Now that’s a test of skill rarely encountered without an obstacle course or special equipment.

Yes, today’s modern girl might have missed this experience, but designers the world over are coming to her aid.

  • LuluBI

    So not cute

  • allj

I’m excited to see where the show goes next season… I’m going to be upset if it’s just all of the characters rehashing the same things we saw in the “flashbacks” this season. The ending was definitely cheesey and predictable, but I think the writers finally know what they’re doing, and I can’t wait to see what they do.

  • TieDye64

I haven’t watched the show in weeks simply because I don’t remember it’s on. Good premise, terribly dull execution. Either go all the way and make it super gooey with the cheese or give us better dialog. Something. I may watch the finale online since it’s sounds like it was pretty decent, though. Anyhoo, these two have about as much onscreen charisma as my little pinky toe, and she just can’t dress herself to save her life. Ooo, sounding cranky there.

    • Le_Sigh

Naw gurl – I am with you on the show.  They loosely based it off the Fables graphic novels which are so so brilliant – and this iteration leaves me so lukewarm and frustrated.

  • indigospade

Psssssh nipples on hot guys is what I have for breakfast. I’m all for him dressing like that on windy days 24/7

  • Violina23

Pajamas. She’s wearing. Pajamas.  *hangs head*  Must be tough to be a celebrity!

I thought the finale was entertaining enough, but I’ve been kinda “meh” for most of the second half of the season. I try not to think too hard about it, or else I’ll find more and more things to be annoyed at

    Random Thoughts:
    1) Was the curse broken, or just part of it? If the curse was broken, wouldn’t they all go “home” instead of being stuck in Storybrooke?  I felt like I was supposed to be all riddled with suspense at the mysterious purple fog, but I was all kinda like “Yeah, so?”
    2) Was anyone looking at Henry in the hospital room and thinking of the scene in E.T. when Elliott almost dies?

  • Lilithcat

I like her jacket, love her haircut and shades!

Never watched the show, though, so have no clue who either of them are.

    • MilaXX

Believe it or not, Snow White and Prince Charming

  • suzinrva

Laura Ashley jumpsuits from 1983! At least this one doesn’t have a sailor collar and knickers.

  • BrooklynBomber

When I saw the jumpsuit, I thought, “oh, no.”
But “deranged grade school teacher in 1981” makes it all worth it.

  • Gin definitely hears the beat of a different fashion drummer.  I kinda like that about her…but I don’t like that jumpsuit.

  • Renaissance_Man_ATL

There’s nothing wrong with his pert nipples in that sweater!  🙂

  • lordandtaylor

I think he looks good…real good.
She looks like the outfit was purchased from one of those “designers” on Fashion Star. Most likely purchased it at H&M online.

  • Susan Crawford

I can’t with that jumpsuit. I like her bag, though.

  • Anathema_Device

If he’s not going to wear a bra, perhaps an undershirt? Her look is a big old No.

  • BeeBeauNYC

I get this is Fashion Gal and Guy on the street, but seriously, who goes out in the street in their pajamas? He gives great nipple through that sweater, though.

  • for a scary second I thought that her hand in her pocket was a hip cutout, so I can at least be thankful it doesn’t have hip cut outs? he reminds me of Ryan Phillipe and yeah an undershirt probably would have been a good idea unless he likes people seeing his nipples cause the sight doesn’t really make me clutch for my pearls.

  • OH my GOD and that PURSE.

  • BPlease

Everything about Ginnifer Goodwin’s look (including her facial expressions, per her usual) smugs, “Hey world!  I’m an asshole!”

I love the designers she favors (Marant and all the other lower-end ones compared to De La Renta, YSL, etc.) but she has no talent at all for carrying the looks she chooses.

  • who cares about what she’s wear, he is a total dream boat daddy!

  • Ummmmmmmmmmmmm…. ok. No comment.

  • joe_tey83

Somebody should really shake her violently and tell her to stop trying so hard. She’s so freaking desperate to be a fashionista she will put on something EVERYBODY can tell is pajamas like “oh, look at me, I’m so edgy and chic.” Just stop, it’s a pathetic sight.

(I want to pinch those nipples.)

  • Why is her purse hanging by her knees?

    • holdmewhileimnaked

why is her purse in front of her crotch?

  • In my mind, I’m deleting her from the pictures…

    Ahh. There, that’s better.

  • Eclectic Mayhem

Huh…. wow.  I’m afraid I’m going to have to fall back on another very British reference; the interested among you could do a Google Image search on “Andy Pandy”.  Nuff said.

    • Hahahahahahahahahahaha!  I’m British and that is PERFECT…

    • turtleemily

       Bananas in Pajamas also works…

  • I do not understand the appeal of Ginnifer Godwin. She and her unnecessarily spelled first name bug me to no end. She is the only reason I have not yet watched “Once Upon A Time”.

    • turtleemily

Because my brain is full of useless information… I saw a Regis and Kelly interview with her at work where her birth name is Jennifer, but where she grew up in the South, it was always pronounced Ginnifer, so she legally changed it to be spelled the way she wanted people to pronounce it when she moved to NYC or California or wherever.

  • judybrowni

I’ll take his nipples over her fugly jumpsuit any day.

  • Aurumgirl

Yes, the jumpsuit is awful.  But the bag is much, much worse.

  • nancylee61

I can’t believe a designer actually DESIGNED that ugly jumpsuit!! Yikes!!!

  • Lina_bee

*stares in horror*  I mean, I love her and I love that she frequently uses her appearances to underline how ridiculous the media circus over celebrities is. But her outfit is kind of eyeball searing…and that bag is straight out of Pioneer Days reenactment costuming.  Josh is giving me flashbacks to a college boyfriend in the early 90s. His henley was a little more ivory than grey, but when it was cool outside he would wear this exact outfit once a week like clockwork.

  • turtleemily

I think I had pajamas like that when I was 3.

  • formerlyAnon

    Wait, they’re a couple?  But . . .

No. Stop the presses. She is wearing WHAT??

No, just . . . no. We’ve done the ’80s. There will be NO DO-OVERS.

He looks like a department store mannequin. Deeply unfair to put in that gym time for such a boring result.

  • elemspbee

oh wait, where’s the chat about the season finale of once upon a time?

  • Damien W

The phrase “jumped the shark” is now officially replaced by “bit the apple”.

  • holdmewhileimnaked

do, um, real people ever hold hands so much in the street any more? i mean before all the celebrities were photographed holding hands in the street. i ask cos i have neither held hands in the street much nor, more importantly, seen anyone else hold hands in the street since having big emotions meant you were a poet & not a potential stalker. meaning: not in a long, long time. &, i suppose this has meaning here, i live in los angeles so you’d think, as per the celebs, i’d see people doing this a lot. were they doing this for any reason other than to be photographed, that is.

[i dont mean to call out these two, btw, they are just the most recent.]

    • AnaRoW

I saw a couple this afternoon holding hands while walking down the street.

    • Denny Li

I hold hands with my husband when we’re out. Not all the time, but quite frequently. We’re in ATL, but I also held hands with boyfriends back when I was still in NYC.

  • I’m just focusing on her super-cute pixie cut. If I do that, will it make the jumpsuit of horrors go away?

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

    oh dear.

  • My eyes hurt!

  • Lisa

She looks like she’s dressed for a clown’s pajama party, and he has moobs.  (No, auto-correct, I don’t mean “moons”, I meant MOOBS).

  • I waited *forever* for last night’s payoffs, through weeks and weeks of the same old thing, really, from the main characters. Regina is cardboard, so is David, Emma’s pants are too tight (how does she breathe?) and I only watch because my cousin so wants to watch it together so we do that on Sunday nights.

Thank goodness for Rumpie/Mr.Gold. He made it bearable (and I almost didn’t recognize Robert Carlysle from The Full Monty!).

They didn’t have enough time to play out Belle and Rumplestiltskin’s reunion before he screwed things up. Missed/rushed payoff. I’m going to pretend we stopped with “Everybody Remembers” and leave it at that.

  • ThaliaMenninger

I didn’t know they were a couple in real life. Adorable. Yeah, their clothing has problems. They’re still cute as a button. Or a pair of buttons.

  • Vanessak69

I hesitate to comment on people’s wardrobe when they are just out doing their thang, not an event but holy shit what the fuck is she wearing.

  • DebbieLovesShoes

I had that SAME floral jumper-whatever when I was 14, and it was hiddy then, too.

  • What’s funny is I saw another pic of her in this jumpsuit from another angle wherein she didn’t have a blouson/muffin top effect going on quite so badly and thought it was kinda cute.
But then, I like floral prints.

  • DesertDweller79

You mean it isn’t supposed to be pajamas?  I’m confused.

  • RzYoung

Oh hell, a floral jumpsuit named ‘jane’ is my absolute worst nightmare!

  • What really concerns me is that the jumpsuit costs $890. Not that I think she paid for it, but there’s people out there selling floral jumpsuits for $890 which means someone must have bought one.

  • Cathy S

Why’s she wearing her pajamas? Also, her bag would be cute if the strap wasn’t so long.

  • guest2visits

What a terrible granny outfit.  Just makes me hate jumpsuits even more.

  • CatherineRhodes

That jumpsuit is easily the ugliest thing I have ever seen a celebrity wear. Plus it adds 20 pounds to her hips.

  • lilazander

Two words for her: Dorothy Zbornak.

    • LadyLuck777

Hahahahahaha, yes!  Only the jacket would have to reach her knees as well.

  • courtneu

screw you guys. Ginnifer Goodwin is perfect. Shes beautiful and shes an amazing person. Who cares what she wears? i bet people could post some pics of what u all wear and it would be seriously dumpy. look at yourself before you pass judgement on others.
