In or Out: Brooklyn Decker in J. Mendel

Posted on April 10, 2012

Oh, Brooklyn, honey! It looks like you may have gotten one right this time! Sort of!

Brooklyn Decker attends the premiere of “Battleship” in Australia in a J. Mendel gown.

J. Mendel Fall 2012 Collection/Model: Toni Garrn

T Lo Editorial Meeting, 4/10/12, 7:15 AM EDT:

T: I hate it.

Lo: Shut up, you big face! I love it!

T: You’re the big face.

So you can see why we’re throwing it out to a vote. Lo thinks it’s striking on her, but even he can admit the changes made to the bodice (black lining) don’t actually improve the look. Tom thinks the lining is not the issue here; that it’s far more concerning that the dress – in both versions – is sporting a highly incongruous pair of sleeves that look like they were ripped off the costume of a Grease 2 cast member who just happened to wander by. Lo thinks there’s more good than bad in this look and T thinks, well, the exact opposite of that. It’s a marvel we’re still together after 16 years.

Vote Now!

IN! Lo is RIGHT! I am excited by her look and would like to read more about it!

OUT! T is right! She looks like shit and please remove me from your mailing list!

Emily Blunt’s banana-colored dress got big raves, which allowed people to pretend not to notice her poor lip color. The result? IN.

      Hate it.  Sorry, Lo.

      • JosephLamour

        Agreed. Hate it.

        • Nellie Wilson

          Me three. Hate it.

    • David Calder

Ew. No. Out. Those sleeves are ridiculous. She looks like an extra from a bar scene in Star Trek.

      • Anplica Fiore

        Thank you!  Exactly so.

    • Amanda Miller

      Tragic. Out.

      • Jennifer L.

      • Macasilver

In the caption pic they looked like horrible hair extensions! I was shocked.

        • Michelle Hassell-Prahl

I thought the same thing!! I kept thinking, “what is going on with her hair???”

      • JDreesen

“i’ll be your giiiiiiirl, for all seasons…all the year throoooough…”

oh, sorry.  got caught up in memories of Miss Pfeiffer and the T-Birds.  which, though i love in a sappy reminiscent sort of way, is also kind of tragic.

i wouldn’t be caught dead in this dress. “D-E-D, DED.”

    • Jonika Tannous

Those bitches need to be cut. The sleeves. TLo can stay.

    • Little_Olive

I’m definitely with T on this one. No a flattering dress and overall a blah look.

    • JillSpill

OUT – T is right!  But don’t you dare take me off the mailing list!

    • crackineggs

I’m with Big Face #1. Out.

    • Scimommy

I’m so with Tom on this one, it’s not even funny.

    • G

Horrible sleeves.  Poor bodice fit.  Ugly idea for a dress.  OUT.

    • Liana Brooks

OUT –  I’m with Tom on this one.

    • Maggie

Gotta go with Tom here. I really hate those sleeves. OUT

    • Michael_Jones

Sorry, Lo, but I can’t with those sleeves.  OUT.

    • Kathrine Marlow

Get rid of the big nasty gold sleeves and it’d be an in, current iteration? OUT OUT OUT

    • Bobbi

It is hideous! Those sleeves are horrendous.

    • terpsichory

No way! Looks as if there’s a second person hiding behind and doing her arms for her. They will probably try feeding her jello any minute, now. Out!

    • hellkell

It would be in if she carried the good idea she had by getting rid of the cutouts into ripping those ugly ass sleeves off. OUT.

    • PaperPusher2

She is a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model made to look like a Dynasty worshipping wannabe, frumpily.

    • Cheryl Larkin

      Hate everything about it.

    • ItchyInKentucky

The only way those sleeves would be acceptable is if she was in a situation where she had to scream out “JAZZ HANDS!!!” at random intervals. OUT. (Congrats on the 16 years, BTW)

    • wisenhar

I hate it when T and Lo fight.  :-(  I somewhat agree with both of you.  I think the dress should have either the sleeves or the lining.  Of course, I’d like the dress without the sleeves altogether, but I think the sleeves are acceptable without the lining.  Can’t we all just get along?

    • kckris

This is so terribly ugly – it’s far worse than an Out.  More like a “Girl, that is NOT your dress!”  Shouldn’t be anyone’s dress really…

    • Beth G

Out.  Bad sleeves, bad lining, and bad fit.

    • butterflysunita

OUT.  The black lining on the bodice makes it look like she has two cat’s eyes on her chest.

    • Donna Lee

The bodice + the sleeves are giving me a very Optimus Prime goes clubbing vibe.  OUT.

    • Claudia Gilbert

      Awful.  Truly.

    • Lauren Dorsee Dillon

OUT. I can’t pinpoint exactly why but it just doesn’t work.

    • Jackie Lorden

      Got to agree with Tom.

    • Ms_Flyover

Team Tom this morning.  The sleeves made my eyes burn.

    • IAmJ

Nooo. This one’s an out. Sorry, Daddy Lo.

    • Ms JJ

      The sleeves kill it dead.

    • cmb92191

Take the gold lame out and it could be passable.. but as is.. OUT.  At first look I thought the sleeves were opera gloves gone way wrong!

    • Charlotte Horseman

No no no no no no.  But still love you guys.  Don’t fight.

    • Kiltdntiltd

Sorry, Lorenzo, I have to vote with Tom on this one. Aside from the addition of the lining doing the dress no favors, the cut of the bodice looks oddly sad, and saggy, and the sleeves just look too long, in addition to their actually belonging to something from a roller disco movie from 1980. O to the You Tee.

      • Anathema_Device

I just keep hearing Shirley Bassey in my head singing, “Gold-FING-AAAARRR!”

        • Kiltdntiltd

Bwah HAH HAH HAH! You just slayed me. Now I can face my work day at Cliff’s with a smile.

    • poggi

For some reason, I don’t hate the sleeves on the original, but they look awful with the addition of the black lining., and And AND you can see the white stitches where they have hastily attached the lining to the dress.  OUT.

      • Nayasabrina

Good eye, poggi to see the stitches!  Speaking of which, T, immediately take Lo to the optometrist; you owe him at least that much after 16 years….

    • jennyv

      Not feeling it. Out.

    • RedRaven617

      I’m on T’s side… OUT

    • Jessica TallGirl Freeman

Gold lame sleeves…? OUT.  Brooklyn, your a model for fuck’s sake. Knock it off with all the shittery.

    • fireontiger

      Yuck. No.

    • Patricia Gillett

Out. Gimmicky, ill-fitted, poor fabric choices. Three strikes, you’re out.

    • jw_ny

OUT!  Tom is right…that dress looks like shit, and gravity is not her friend!   From the neck up…Brooklyn looks ok.

As for Emily Blunt…bitter kittens are obviously blind…that lip color was tragic! It was a solid out. ;P

    • msftmargarita

Out- the sleeves are too much

    • DeborahLipp

I like the weird sleeves, I like the way it’s fitted, I hate the eye makeup.

      • Sara L.

Oh good! I’m not the only one! I really like this, actually. I think it is striking and different. So Team Lo! All two of us!

        • DeborahLipp

          We’re the coolest.

    • uprightcitizen

To paraphrase Dorothy Zbornack from “The Golden Girls,” she looks like the mother of a Solid Gold dancer. Three kinds of wrong and all kinds of tacky

    • schadenfreudelicious

Send those sleeves back to Studio 54 where they belong, OUT!

    • Catherine

Sorry Lo – I am with T on this one. When the black liner in the bodice was added, the gold sleeves should have been cut – they just don’t make sense. OUT.

    • foodycatAlicia

I’m Team Tom for this one. It’s not good at all. It reminds me of 60s sci-fi with poor production values. James T Kirk is lurking in the background to be taken advantage of.

    • BazoDee

OUT. The cut outs make her lady parts look saggy.

    • Stella Zawistowski

Sorry, Lo, I’m with T. Looks like there were two dresses, each of which might have been cute individually, and that are a big “What?” together. OUT.

    • Patrick Cleary

Ugly and even though on closer inspection it appears to be the right size, it has the overwhelming illusion of being ill-fitted.

    • JenXer

I’m with mostly with Tom. I like the choice of the black lining, but I like the high contrast black and white thing going on.  I loathe the sleeves, though they do answer the question of “What would Brian Boitano do to this dress?”

    • nannypoo

It’s tacky and it doesn’t fit. The black lining appears to be basted in with white thread, so when she’s done with it she can rip it out and take it back to the consignment store.

    • BrooklynBomber

Now, now: you’re both big faces!

But I’m with T on this. I’m starting to think Brooklyn is made up, and her real name is Staten Island Decker.

      • alyce1213

I’ll go one further and remove her from NY entirely — Bayonne Decker.

        • BrooklynBomber

          Hahah!!!!! PERFECT!!!

    • Betsy Wasser

      Team Tom!

    • TAGinMO

Those shiny, wrinkly, tacky sleeves would be offensively ugly no matter what dress they were randomly attached to. OUT.

On another note, Brooklyn Decker is a pretty woman and all, but her features are remarkably unremarkable, as supermodels go.

    • Judith Mignault

Out. The sleeves look like they’re from an halloween costume and the bodice is making my eyes twich.

    • In_Stitches

Sorry Lo, her boobs are so low she looks like she’s nursing.  OUT.

    • Snailstsichr

I have to go with Tom on this one. The sleeves are horrible.

    • Dr Skylaser

Hate the sleeves, like the bodice lining.  On balance, OUT.  There are awesome black-and-white dresses that aren’t so unnecessarily stupid.

    • Anathema_Device

I actually said aloud, to my computer screen, “Are those gold sleeves??!!” My husband replied from the other room, “What? Are you asking me something?” I forgot I wasn’t home alone.

Anyway, anything that makes me forget myself and exclaim aloud to no one in particular is either fabulous or horrible. I’m going with the latter. If this had been sleeveless  or had sleeves that were black or white, I’d vote in. Those Goldfinger arms ruin it.

    • cluecat

IN.  I’m in the (very tiny) minority that goes with LO.  I like that they took the Morticia Adams silhouette and did something different, and I don’t even hate the gold lame sleeves.  I understand why she didn’t want the cut outs and the black fabric underneath is all kinds of wrong but if they had found something different to do, it would have much better.   Her hair is pretty boring, and an updo with some modest earrings would have been much more flattering.

    • colleenjanel

Lovely dress. Tragic sleeves. Rip those bitches off, and we might be able to salvage this mess.

    • Pants_are_a_must

The sleeves are awful and the alterations to the upper half only serve to make it look like a supervillain mask on her boobs. OUT.

    • AlexisPayne

Hate those sleeves, too distracting. OUT.

    • ChaquitaPhilly

NO! OUT! But please do not remove me from your mailing list!
      The sleeves…the sleeves…!!!

    • TheLaurenJean

Ugh. Out. Seriously, I just pried a shirt with those same sleeves from my mother’s closet. I will not stand for it to be declared in!

    • MissAnnieRN

OUT.  For the C3PO arms.  The changes made to the bodice are not distracting at first.  Then I scrolled down and saw the runway shot, scrolled back up to confirm that there were not Buffalo Bill style surgical cuts in Brooklyn’s bodice, and now all I can see are the damn black torso incisions.

      But really, it’s the sleeves.

She is lovely, though, isn’t she?

    • Melissa Mellon

I hate it when Daddy and Daddy fight! Um…let’s see. Maybe it’s the matte look of the gold that’s fighting with the black and white? Maybe it’s the too-long sleeves and their resulting wrinkliness? I agree that *something* cool went into the thinking of this mix of elements, but the execution is just…off. Also? Her lack of bra isn’t helping any with the geometric elements on the front. So, B-/C+?

      • Amelia Logan

        agree on all points.

    • lilibetp

I’m with Tom on this one.

    • Ann

Definite out. Those sleeves are just all kinds of wrong.

    • Mylynka Cardona

      Franken-sleeves.  OUT

    • Anne Meek White

      Bad. Bad. Bad. OUT.

    • MoreShoes

That somebody made this dress doesn’t mean you have to wear it. Even if you got it for free. OUT, of course.

    • SapphoPoet

OUT. I’m with T on this one. I think it was a good idea that got lost in the execution. Would look awesome as a sleeveless gown with no black lining.

    • lizajane1776

Ick on the sleeves, but the rest of the dress is great, better with the black lining than with the cut-outs.
In. Lowercase. (Why should I know her?)

    • Jessi03

      Oh honey no.  OUT.

    • NDC_IPCentral

Love you, Lorenzo – you know that, but I can’t agree with you on this discordant outfit.  Those sleeves are dreadful.  If this were sleeveless, it’d be an acceptable outfit, but as is… an OUT for me.

Tom, points for you, doll.  I better not be fueling dissension in Chez T Lo…., I’d feel terrible!

    • VioletFem

      OUT. The sleeves are ugly.

    • BeeBeauNYC

      Horriblay. Out.

    • Sage Andersen

OUT!  seriously, lo, fug.  i especially think the bodice/lining changes make it worse.  (though as designed, it is pretty unwearable by anyone but the one woman wearing it on the runway.)

    • Hetha Innis

      Detest. 16 years! That’s awesome.

    • Carrielou

Such a vast improvement over that awful lacey, grandma panty thing she was wearing but, still, not quite making it for me.  I’m with Tom.

    • Celandine1

Well, it’s eye-catching but still OUT. The sleeves and the white material look like a cheap shrug pulled over the dress. Those sleeves don’t relate to anything in dress.

    • Aaminah Khan

I kinda love it. It’s striking, different, and the sleeves really don’t bother me all that much. I mean, yeah, they probably would have looked better either in black or not there at all, but the gold honestly isn’t as horrendous as people seem to be saying. IN.

    • ballerinawithagun

Out! Never remove me from your mailing list though!

      Those sleeves hurt my eyes.

    • mhleta

Take the sleeves off and we’ll talk. Otherwise, I simply shan’t.

    • kelsita421

      No, awful, OUT.

    • sarahofalessergod

This made me wince.  Blade Runner meets Vegas, and not in a good way.

    • mllesatine

      In!Lorenzo is right.

    • Susan Crawford

OUT. It looks as though Brooklyn borrowed something from Joan Collins, who is the ONLY Beyotch who could rock ruched, puffy gold sleeves on a black and white color-blocked dress, IMHO. This dress says to me that some little hussy is gonna get pushed into the swimming pool before the night is over.
(Please never remove me from your mailing list, even though I’m on the OUTs with this look! I love you both just the same. Now you two shake hands and go outside and play nice, okay?)

    • Liz

I thought she looked great for an aging actress.  I’m assuming she is 40+?

    • Eclectic Mayhem

I’m voting with Tom, sorry Lo!

    • Kayceed

Another Franken-dress. Also, a good, supportive bra would be most welcome. Out.

    • lesmaha

Out. But please keep me on your mailing list–I’ll give you another chance!

    • Sara__B

Now the bodice has a face! The gown doesn’t fit her well, the sleeves are silly, and she’s got stick-straight hair. A definite OUT for me!

    • guest2visits

With the guy in uniform standing there; she looks like she’s working a cruise ship in her chanteuse-lounge act.
Or even someplace in Vegas. It just appears to be some kind of uniform; not a gown. Very weird dress.
      — Greeting Hostess!

    • gabbilevy

OUT, T is right, but please don’t remove me from your mailing list!!

    • Pennymac

Looks like a pretty dress with an awful gold lame shrug. OUT

    • SpcilK

      No Lo!

    • A Shiny O’Connor

Her droopy boobs are ‘smizing’ at me. Otherwise it’s an IN.

    • FayeKat

These sleeves are the devil! OUT!

    • Valerie Taylor

Lose the sleeves, lose the lining.  Now I love it.

    • Emily

      Out. Yuck.

    • Jessica O’Connell

Those sleeves are TERRIBLE. Also – why in the hell are you guys already starting to work at 7:15am? I know you’re responsible and everything, but give yourselves a break and sleep in a little! You deserve it! Bitchiness, while always fabulous, can wait until after 8am at the very least.

    • Susan683

      um, NO.  Out.

    • kimmeister

Out. The sleeves are too cheap looking.

    • Amanda Gun

Unreservedly out! That dress is the most hideous thing I’ve seen all day and if you knew what my face looked like this morning you’d know that’s not an easy task. I can’t find a single thing I like about this look. To top it off, she kind of looks like Morgan McMichaels in some of these pictures, and that barely even works for miss McMichaels herself.

    • BarbaraNovak

Why do so many gorgeous Hollywood types not think their bosoms need picking up?  You’re a star – you’re beautiful – you really are – now lift those boobies!  And the sleeves are truly heinous.  But I would say I could live with it if she just had some chesticular support!

    • elleg929

OUT – Plus the Grease 2 comment made my morning.

    • VicksieDo

IN. It’s different and I like the sleeves.  I also am glad she did the lining of the cutouts, much classier.

    • RebeccaKW

Yea, it’s the sleeves.  I don’t mind the black additions so much, so…the sleeves.  They come outta nowhere.  I think it would be great if it was sleeveless.

Gotta go with out.  But TLo is always an IN!

    • Samuel Joesph Donovan

It’s such a confusing dress.  I think she looks good overall, but she is putting in a LOT of the work where the dress itself is lacking.

    • marilyn

      OUT.  Too dowdy.

    • sagecreek

      Oh, those sleeves — OUTSKI.

    • Eva_baby

Out.  Looks tons better on the model.

    • 2ndhandchic

While I agree it looks better without the black insert, it would have been pretty revealing on Brooklyn without it. I like it. IN!

    • janetjb

The sleeves look better on the model, but that’s not saying much.

    • Kolo_Ol

the dress is ugly, her face is shiny, the sleeves are stupid and her ladies need support

    • Rand Ortega

      J. Mendel? Really? But… it looks so cheap. Usually the looks are so refined. This is hackneyed & ill conceived. O to the U to the T.

    • carpediva

      Trekkie couture. Hideously OUT.

    • leftcoastpickle

OUT! yuck. The sleeves. And it just looks awful. I’m always disappointed that gorgeous women with options choose to wear awful clothes.

    • sweetestsith

I’m fine with the black, its a nice contrast, but hate hate hate the gold sleeves. OUT.

    • Kyle Crawford

I threw up in my mouth a little……horrid. PR second challenge, bottom three, but not sent home.

    • MzzPants

The makeup is atrocious.  She just looks scary in some of those images.  And the hair…there has been a consistent condemnation of center part, pin straight on this very blog and it’s made me a believer.  O-U-T

    • fashionablylate

She’s IN. The sleeves are an issue, but it’s definitely interesting. LOVE her eye makeup.

    • StrandedFashionista

I never liked the sleeves and the black lining takes all the sexy out of the dress. OUT.

    • crash1212

OUT. Sleeves are stupid, but seemed to make more visual sense with the cutouts intact…although even then, it’s still a stupid dress. Pretty hair though.

    • fashionablylate

Make it three, I like it! Actually love the eye makeup too.

    • PeggyOC

Out.  Hate it on the model, but then it at least looks like it fits.  This looks saggy and makes her boobs look like they’re hanging around her navel, which I’m sure are not.  Sleeves were a bad idea on the runway and a even worse idea in person.

    • fashionablylate

Make it three, I like it! I even love the eye makeup.

    • Call me Bee

Bad cutouts, bad sleeves, bad dress.

    • Kate Lorenz

Too high waisted for her shape and the sleeves are awful.  Out.

    • Kathryn

    • Sara Munoz

“Sort of!” is way too kind. Big. Old. OUT.

    • Michelle Argento

HATE IT. It needs to be tighter and have those flesh cutouts. Otherwise, it looks like 80s prom

    • belfebe

I think it’s okay.  The problem, I think, is the fit.  The top kind of wrinkles funny.  Having said that, at least she doesn’t look like she’s wearing a giant diaper.  I would give her a very narrow IN.

    • Sara Munoz

And she MUST be sweating in that thing.

    • Delysia LaFosse

      Ew. OUT.

    • Wellworn

Strange ugly dress.  Hate it.  Actually don’t think the black lining made it worse though.  It was already bad.  And what is with the hair sticking straight up?  Was it windy or was there some kind of reverse southern hemisphere thing going on?

    • EEKstl

OUT.  The black looks fine, the sleeves are hiddy. I don’t mind the metallic, it’s that fit! If they were silver they’d be the arms of a robot costume.

    • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

      I’m a big face. Out.

    • Dejah_Thoris

I’m with Tom. I seem to side with him a lot.

    • TheOriginalLulu

I would like it if it didn’t have those horrible sleeves.

Her hair would look a lot prettier if she’d chop off a few inches.

    • Caaro3

      T:  I hate it
      C:  You’re right.

    • Juline

Sleeves almost work on the model, but not on her, even though she is very pretty. And agreed on the black lining on the bodice.

    • Joyce VG

OUT because the sleeves are not interesting or flattering but plain ugly…but please do not take me off the mailing list.

    • Jamie

rip off those sleeves and she looks great – OUT

    • NurseEllen

Those sleeves are just awful, they make me reach for my zofran.*  OUT.  But please keep me on the mailing list anyway.

      *zofran = anti-nausea medication

    • greatscoutm

      Out.  Hate the welder’s sleeves.

    • PaulaBerman

That is another terrible frankendress. Can’t see her shoes, but her hair looks like she’s in a windy place. If she’s not, she’s got some serious flyaways. OUT.

    • Mathilde

IN (even if I’m not a big fan of this bodice either)

    • KathKo

I agree with Tom, here : the sleeves have to go.

    • SignLadyB

I think the sleeves are hiddy. The dress itself (especially after that wierd lace over granny pants number) is probably better with the inserts in the bodice. So it’s a TLO tie.

    • lilazander

I personally have a hard time believing it’s J. Mendel; he ususally designs such ultra feminine beautiful gowns…. This is just confusing.

    • random_poster

OUT.  That dress is ugly regardless of who wears it.

    • Larkin21

Yeah, don’t like the sleeves and, for once, I think the cut outs make it look better. Don’t like the black lining at all. OUT.

    • vanjar

    • Jane Morris

Yeah, that dress is at war with itself. out.

    • lrhoff

Nope, it’s just not working for me….

    • blue

OUT. Yes, the sleeves ruin it.

    • Cathy S

Tom is correct. The sleeves are horrible. The dress is so very Out.

    • Pannyx

Hate it. Those sleeves should be burned.

    • lalahartma

      Out!  Bad dress.

    • Dave

Her tits look angry.  When she stands with her arms at her sides, all I see is Disco Predator staring back at me.  So, Lo?  No.  OUT.

    • sashaychante

OUT  This dress looks alarmingly cheap, which I’m sure it is not.

    •!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

Although to be fair, it’s partly because I’ll never get the sight of her in that lace monstrosity out of my head.  Poor girl.

    • Sandisan

OUT.  Looks kinda chic on the model, but on Brookie here, it just looks ucky.  (that’s a technical term)

    • BrightsideSusan

I could live with the sleeves until the balck lining was added, then it made the sleeve look like too much.  The black lining, on it’s own is fine, but it took the dress in another direction; to more of a crisp look which the gold then ruins.

OUT.  Hate the dress.  Maybe possibilities if those sleeves weren’t there.  Maybe.

Although I give her an IN from the neck up.  Like the hair and makeup.

    • CatherineRhodes

    • alyce1213

OUT!  Tom’s right.   This has to be one of the stupidest dressed I’ve ever seen.  Crumpled gold lamé sleeves??

Lorenzo — are you feeling ok?

    • librarygrrl64

      OUT. Those sleeves, THOSE SLEEVES!!!

    • Nancer

      Out. Sorry.

    • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

      Hate the sleeves.  OUT.

    • holdmewhileimnaked

this was a dress made for the hooterless. BD, here, is not precisely over-endowed but a person cant wear this dress as is if that person is endowed at all.

problem w/ the fix is that it ruins the dress. its whole essence is thrown off, if you will, the lines are now all screwy & wrinkled & go from being something more like geometric op art finish fetish to something more like a squished abstract mess. add the sleeves to that & all cohesion is lost, those sleeves do wind up looking like they were hastily ripped off someone at the last minute & applied to a dress that doesnt want them. perhaps to hide her trackmarks? she’s a cutter? but we know thats not true from the black lace diaper dress. so theres no reason at all for them to exist [sleeves or diaper dress, but anyway].

    • CMS

I’m a bit distracted by what look like stitches holding the black and white parts together – in the fourth pic

    • MilaXX

      Small IN.
I think the filling in the cutouts was a smart move and the fit is okay. The problem is that the dress with those sleeves is just plain old hiddy. Chop off those arms and I really don’t have a problem with this look.

    • lifetime_student

Out. My first thought was that she didn’t have time to remove her secret super hero costume. Maybe her phone booth malfunctioned?

    • petalfrog

Out. It’s hideous and doesn’t fit her

    • choco

IN–as in “never where this out” 😛 sorry Lo

    • Barbora

      Tom is right, OUT

    • mom2ab

When supermodels with access to the worlds best fashion and stylists leave the house looking like this they deserve the public flogging they receive.  OUT.

    • JimiG

      Out. Those sleeves are ridiculous.

    • Kate4queen

Out T is right-hate the sleeves particularly.

    • allj

I’m with T on this one. It’s just horrible. Hate hate hate hate hate.

    • frances rossi

Love it. Very different and unique but still chic and flattering.

    • mjude

OUT. do not like the sleeves, nor do i even get it?

    • fiestyfashionfem

      Ugh – out.

    • formerlyAnon

Out. Tom is EXACTLY right. (whew! after going with Lo the last few times I was fearing for my judgement). The sleeves combine with the chevron-esque cutouts on the bodice to give her too much resemblance to a hood ornament.

    • bellafigura1

I must give props to that dress.  Gotta work pretty hard to make her body look boring, which it does.

    • Gina Knox Rook

      frankendress. OUT

    • DCSheehan

    • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

Out she is a piece of shit and please remove me from your mailing list.

    • cjcris23

In the thumbna I thought the sleeves were atrocious extensions.

    • littlemac8

OUT, out!  Heinous.  That girl cannot dress herself to save her life! But I won’t vote out if it gets me removed from your fabulous mailing list which does the SkyMall catalogue one better!  :)

    • sleepycat

Love it although I think matches the background a little too much, IN

    • Andrea Lane

Blegh. Grease 2 was never a good idea.

    • Eovaai

OUT. Hate it.  The sleeves are stupid and the dress is ugly.

    • Sophie Collier

It’s quite ugly, actually.  Only slightly less ugly without the black lining.  OUT

    • Merneith

Out. Sorry, Lo. It’s a stupid dress. And honestly, Brooklyn needs a bra.

We should give Joanna Coles her own show, sort of like Tabatha Takes Over, where she busts into designers’ workrooms and holds their feet to the fire while asking, “How am I supposed to wear a bra with this?” We’d all be better people for it, in the end.

    • ThaliaMenninger

      UGLE city. She’s OUT.

    • Tom Markiewicz

IN. overally, it’s a visually stunning look, which is what you want at a premiere.

    • guestela

    • plinkiedoodle

      Out.  Hate the sleeves.

    • amyfromnj

The sleeves look like were made out of Meryl Streep’s academy awards dress, which both look like they are from curtain number three on Let’s Make a Deal.

    • Mags

      IN. Bitch looks fierce.

    • demidaemon

OUT. Looks too old on her, especially with the alterations. Also the sleeves are pretty Golden Girl.

    • unpiously

Why are your boobs glaring at me, Brooklyn? What did I ever do to them? Stop looking at me, boobs! (That last should be in a Billy Madison voice.)

    • altalinda

    • ccm800

Hate it  – Team T here. OUT. Barely like it without the added black –  hate it with – weighs everything down.

    • AWStevens

I don’t hate it but why does she have C3PO’s arms?  OUT

    • Badriya Al-Badi’a

Those sleeves are hideous!  Out out out!

    • JillK

I’m with T here. It’s hideous. The changes made it predictable and boring, the sleeves are mega hiddy, and girl needed to wear a BRA! Sorry, Lo, this is a big, fat OUT.

    • Grace Ritt

      IN, actually. She looks chic.

    • annamiklo

Out.  Horrifying attack sleeves killing an otherwise cool dress.  Bummer.

    • TieDye64

The model killed it. Brooklyn did not. OUT. Sorry, Lo.
