Heidi Klum for Allure Magazine

Posted on April 18, 2012

Sometimes Fraulein Heidi gets on our nerves and sometimes she charms the pants off us. We’ve had a long, contentious relationship with her and we’ve never even met her.

Heidi Klum featured in the April 2012 issue of Allure magazine photographed by Norman Jean Roy.

But we kind of love how she sounds here.

On Seal: “You know, I wouldn’t change anything. If I had to go back in time and say, ‘I should have changed this or that…’ No. I don’t resent anything that ever happened. Things just turn out the way they turn out…. I’m still in the eye of the storm now, and it’s all a little bit crazy. But sometimes you have to be apart in order to figure it out.”

On cosmetic surgery: “Ask me again when I’m 65, but…I’m proud to be able to say, in this day and age, I haven’t done anything,” Klum says. “Everyone has a view of what’s pretty and what’s not pretty, and [surgery] just doesn’t look pretty to me. Especially when I see it on really young girls. I don’t want to name names, but it’s like, Wow, I remember you five years ago, looking to me so beautiful, and now it’s like… who is this person? And I know girls half my age who do it. What are they gonna do at 40 or 50, when the s-h-i-t really hits the fan?”

Granted, a genetically gifted ladystar ragging on other ladystars who get cosmetic surgery is a little irritating, but it’s cute how she spells out “shit,” isn’t it? A former PR contestant who shall remain nameless once told us that Heidi was “the kind of person who thinks fart jokes are the height of comedy.” Make of that what you will.

That’s the weirdest bathing suit we’ve seen in some time – and that’s saying something. She still gives great face, in that toothy, windblown-hair kinda way, but that naked shot is weird and not particularly flattering to her. Lady-lovers, is that sexy; that whole “desperately trying to cover my privates” thing? We never got it. What’s hot about someone trying to cover themselves up as if they were embarrassed?

The flatulence joke affinity – VERY German.

What happened to the tattoo[s] on her arm[s]?  Photoshopping or some “non-“cosmetic surgery to have them removed?

I like the bodice on the bathing suit – maybe not for a bathing suit, but the rest of the pix do have a slightly desperate air about them. I do like seeing the crow’s feet around her eyes, but the white-white teeth – that’s an unnatural look I cannot endorse.

    • http://www.facebook.com/andreas.stahl Andreas Stahl

Can I just say “whatever” to that – Americans are weirdly invested in painting Germany as a country of people obsessed with the scatological, which says more about the US than it says about Germany, really. Though I think the PR contestant in question wasn’t actually implying that, only you did.

      • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

I love a good fart joke – I thought it was just that I have the humour of a 13 year old boy, not that I was remotely Teutonic!

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=21413366 Evan Hart

Having lived in Germany for a few years, I can safely say that, in my experience, as many Americans as Germans liked fart jokes. It wasn’t part of a “national” sense of humor, more of a personal preference for puerile humor.

    • http://twitter.com/hmbscully WendyD

Her tattoo with Seal’s name is on her right(?) forearm. I don’t remember if she has others, but you just don’t see that part of her arm in any of those photos.

    • lilazander

I don’t think the tattoo went anywhere, it’s just none of the pics features the part of her arm in question.

    • 3boysful

Of course, it’s a wee bit easier to be anti-cosmetic surgery when you know they will airbrush/photoshop your flaws away!  That said, I also liked seeing her tiny laugh lines–that’s pretty gutsy for a model who plays up the blond-girl-next-door look, so she gets kudos from me.

      • eight_of_nine

The laugh lines are gorgeous.  I’m glad they weren’t all Shopped out.

  • butterflysunita

I agree, the naked shot is not flattering.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_EDI2DLE7DE3YPW2ONIHBWOVHMA ecallaw

Maybe not, but I had a body like that 10 years ago, and would kill to have it back–and she’s 4 years older and one kid ahead of me.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Claudia-Gilbert/875055316 Claudia Gilbert

But if the naked shot were more flattering, everyone would be having a go at her for her “stay natural” attitude.  That’s her body.  I don’t see a damn thing wrong with it.  I’m only 29 with two kids and would force all of you to look at my naked body if it looked like that!  We’re all going to continue to have the wrong idea about what women’s bodies look like if we can’t even see one at a slightly odd angle without getting all judgy.  I, of course, am not venting at YOU personally; I just find when criticisms like this are made it continues to keep women down on on the path for an ideal that’s only found at the end of photoshop or the knife or both.

      • julnyes

I understand your ire, but I think the complaint about the shot is not so much her body but the pose itself.

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Claudia-Gilbert/875055316 Claudia Gilbert

          Ahh…I see.  Fair enough.

      • butterflysunita

I agree with ecallaw and Claudia Gilbert that Heidi is gorgeous and her body is amazing.  My critique was of the photographer–don’t like the shot or the pose.  I think that was also why TLo didn’t find the shot flattering.

    • MrsJoe

Besides that they could have taken a much more flattering shot, it also seems to emphasize to me that the photo right above it is photo-shopped within an inch of her life because the bodies are not the same body.

  • http://theargiehome.blogspot.com/ Gus Casals

Love the bathing suit pic. She’s serving Farrah realness.

    • terpsichory

My thought exactly. Though I was never much of a fan.

  • CassandraMortmain

Interesting to see her thoughts on plastic surgery.  Especially since I think she really looks her age in this shoot.  She looks fabulous, as always, except for the naked pic – I agree with TLo about that one – but she’s clearly no spring chicken anymore.  I hope she sticks to her guns and doesn’t have surgery.

  • http://twitter.com/Deac82 Mike M.

She has smile lines around her eyes in the cover shot and doesn’t look photoshopped to hell.  You even see stray hairs.

    • Sobaika Mirza

Thank god. Finally a cover shot where the subject doesn’t look poreless, plastic, or waxy.

      • http://profiles.google.com/ameliaheartsu Amelia Logan

her smile and teeth are a little crooked too.

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

It’s refreshing isn’t it? They seem to have saved their photoshop budget for whitening the crap out of her teeth.

      • mountainFashionista

She might’ve whitened them herself.  My neighbor, a dental hygienist, says these are known as “toilet bowl teeth” in the industry…

        • crackineggs

Oh great, now I’m going to need to pee the next time I watch Happy Endings.  Those people have the whitest teeth.

  • Nanaia

The covering up is a sign of modesty and from what various women lovers have told me is incredibly sexy. Besides, if it is full nudity, they can’t sell the magazine on the rack by the checkout.

    • Aly Light

It’s not just that, there’s an allure to not being able to totally see something. It references the sexiness, makes it apparent, in a way that full-blown, I’m-all-bared nudity doesn’t necessarily do.

  • HomeOfficeGirl

The simple shot of her beautiful smile, with hair all around is gorgeous!  That’s Heidi!!

  • Pants_are_a_must

Re: the naked and bathing suit shots

Yeah, that’s when Heidi’s need to really show off her body kinda jumped the shark. I get the intention, but the shots themselves are not great.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

It seems like the naked shot is a pregnancy shot…if she was with child, maybe it would make more sense.  She look so great on the cover shot, but the other 2 shots are appalling.

    • http://www.GiftedCollector.com Nancy Abrams

I think it’s an after-four-pregnancies shot. They’ve left her a little flabby–and real. And by “they,” I mean both the photographer and the pregnancies. It’s surprising and kind of nice that she didn’t make sure she was flat and taut before the photo shoot.

  • Anathema_Device

The cover shot is the best. She looks so engaging there. The other shots are sort of meh. I don’t mind the swim suit itself. It reminds me of some great suits I had in the ’70s &  ’80s. (I know that isn’t a plus for everyone…)

I like her quotes b/c they actually sound like her.

  • kimmeister

I like the bathing suit, but it wouldn’t work very well as an actual bathing suit – no support for the girls!  The top half looks like the bodice of a gown more than a bathing suit.

  • BrooklynBomber

I don’t think these are the most flattering pictures of her, on the one hand; on the other, I’m glad they had the good sense not to airbrush the hell out of her, which would have made a big disconnect b/w the words and the images. I like the cover shot the best because she looks like a real person. I think her attitude about cosmetic surgery and aging is pretty German.

  • RocknLox

After watching every season of Project Runway I feel like I have just saw my next door neighbor naked.

  • Judy_S

I like these pictures (with that text), speaking as an older woman who has no clue what demographic Allure is going for.

    • mountainFashionista

I was wondering the same thing, so I looked ’em up.  Per their media kit:  93% of their readers are women.  Median age is 32.5, 40% married, 53% have kids, 66.6% have some college education.

In other words, Heidi is perfectly aspirational for them  :-)

      • Judy_S

Thanks! Now I like the pictures even more!

  • http://twitter.com/AShinyOConnor A Shiny O’Connor

As a colleague of mine said, ‘ Heidi Klum took out an advert in a glossy magazine to bag herself a new man, well, she called it an interview and photo-shoot’.

  • formerlyAnon

Overall, I think these photos prove that it’s time for Ms. Klum to stop trying to go to the “nubile, juicy & sexy” well and transition to the “beautiful, graceful and sexy” well. If she let others dress her she could do a very regal and elegant beauty, but her personal taste doesn’t seem to run in that direction. Hard for professionally beautiful women to make that transition, I’m guessing it’ll be impossible to do in the middle of a divorce and we’ll have to suffer through more of Heidi-trying-too-hard.

I’ve always thought the ‘covering up’ gesture just a way to signal “I’m really naked!” and still get the photos published in a venue where the personal bits have to be covered somehow. Doesn’t read sexy to me, but then I’m way on the hetero side of the line and sexiness in women registers for me only in the head, not at all in the gut. I feel Ms. Klum, like a lot of lanky women, has a body that looks sexier at least partially clothed, anyway.

And she sounds here the way she’s always sounded – not at all intellectual but smart in a shrewd way. Which I respect.

  • NCDFan

I think you’re missing the point of the nudity shot. This is the body of a woman who has had multiple children and she’s still in great condition. Maybe not teenage condition, but most mothers I know would be ecstatic to have her body.

    • Synnamin

I absolutely agree. What struck me about that shot was… cellulite. And I mean that in a positive way. They didn’t photoshop out all of the lumps and bumps of motherhood and aging.

      • guestela

Wait, what? You see cellulite? I don’t. I see a spectacularly beautiful body with the slightest belly pooch. But cellulite, I don’t see.

        • formerlyAnon

And I’m going to call it a barely there “slight belly pooch” ONLY if you tell me she’s sucking in, hard. If that’s a relaxed stomach, I can’t call pooch on it.

          • http://twitter.com/asciident Melissa Brogan

She’s leaning in slightly. I think it gives the appearance of belly pooch that isn’t actually there.

  • Bree The Vole

Heidi has done better naked shots than that, so I wonder what she’s aiming for with this one. Her body is still great though, and I love that cover shot.

  • Little_Olive

I dunno, I would have loved something more… covered? More editorial (being Allure, not Vogue), more “normal”. They are kind of too much for Frau Klum these days.

She seems so nice and she has a very appealing way to her, and this is definitely not playing to that.

Next time, work the hell outta some clothes.

    • halleygee

Agree, there’s a point when it’s time to keep your clothes on, no matter how fabulous you look without them.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_3JSTXMWWVZN2QNP2UEKJMTWD7U Isabel

Unless her kids are home schooled, they might be mortified by the pics. Especially when the mean kids at school or the play group show Heidi’s kids the pics on their cell phones.

      • Little_Olive

She’d kill an Ann Taylor-ish campaign. She can convey “mature freshness” if you may.

        • formerlyAnon

Or even better, whomever’s the more upscale version of Ann Taylor, where they could really go to town with high end fabric, cashmere, leather, etc.

    • poggi

Agree.  She is appealing in some contexts, but that isn’t highlighted here.  The cover shot comes closest to it in my opinion.

  • SewingSiren

Didn’t she already have a nose job and a boob job, and about 100k worth of cosmetic dentistry?

    • alyce1213

Breast augmentation absolutely.  I’m not sure about a nose job — old pictures of her seem to have the same nose.   Does cosmetic dentistry count?  I’ve had a bit and don’t really consider it the same as plastic surgery.

    • Bree The Vole

Do you have links re: these jobs? She looked pretty busty in the VS shows, but outside them her breasts have been average at best (unless she was pregnant/close to pregnancy). Same for Gisele and Adriana; they looked busty in VS push-ups but much less so outside them. Tyra was probably the only VS model who truly had breasts, fake or not.

/celebrity boobs are serious business yo

  • guest2visits

I don’t mind the nudie pics of women her age; but the strenuous, absurd, overly ‘model’ posing; was unnecessary.
It comes off cheesy and sad. And so….shallow.  The bathing suit was unattractive; mostly due to the pose. The nude-pic
wasn’t that great either; entirely due to the pose.  Her cover shots; fantastic.

  • http://twitter.com/jelizap Jane Patterson

The “covering the ladyparts” pose has been around since Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus” if not earlier … and if it’s in Renaissance paintings, it is presumed to be naked yet tasteful, yes?

    • JDreesen

that’s my take on it – i didn’t necessarily think i was looking at a “sexy” photo of Heidi Klum…just one where she is tastefully naked and not in a magazine that does fully naked pictures (tasteful or otherwise).  i am assuming, of course, that Allure doesn’t do fully naked pictures.  Something has to cover up the bits, so if it isn’t going to be arms it is going to be a scarf, or a sash, or a…goat (?!?! sorry…i ran out of ideas…it’s been a long day so far).

      • formerlyAnon

She did do a really cute “got milk?” ad with a bunch of livestock. So, I vote the goat.

  • IMNAngryLiberal

I’ve never thought Heidi showed up well as a print model — killer on the runway, but not so much for editorials.  Eh .. maybe it’s just me.

  • GorgeousThings

And let’s not overlook the fact that our own TLo are featured in this article!!!

“As Tom Fitzgerald and Lorenzo Marquez, who write a pup-culture blog (formerly known as Project Rungay) that Harold Bloom-ishly decustructs every detail of the show put it, ‘Heidi, who was pretty rough the first couple of seasons, blossomed into this very smooth host who straddies the line between being approachable and glamorous.”‘

    Go TlLo!!!!

  • Terence Ng

Granted, the naked shot isn’t flattering in a conventional sense, but I do like it because it looks honest, as if making her look like a hot piece wasn’t the point. She just looks like herself and her body looks like what her body probably looks like for a supermodel at her age.

    • hac51

And you can tell that body has carried a few babies.  I like it too.

    • Little_Olive

At that point I think I find a bit of a tummy more beautiful than those abs. They scare me.

  • http://profiles.google.com/hillaryschuster Hillary Schuster

I find the body-shot interesting, but not exactly flattering (as you say).

  • marilyn

I am confused.  I thought Allure was about fashion.  In all those shots, we see 2 different pieces of clothing.  I this magazine moving to a very soft-porn format?  I like Heidi a lot, but I am trying to figure out the purspose of these pictures.  It certainly isn’t to sell clothes.

    • HengRu

Allure is a beauty mag, not a fashion mag. It’s not about selling clothes … it’s more about selling makeup.

      • Susan683

It is a beauty mag, yes.  Every year they do a “naked” issue and several celebrities pose nude.  it is about body image, not sex.  So the pic isn’t about “I am now single but still hot”.  The point of this issue every year is to show women who are not 20 posing nude because they are happy with who they are.  The “cover my privates” thing is because the issue isn’t meant to be gratuitous; it is meant to be empowering.

  • twocee

Why am I getting this weird (in a good way) Cheryl Tiegs vibe from this shoot?  I would’ve never said Heidi looks like Cheryl, but I swear they could be related in that last still.

ETA — and I have to say, the lack of Botoxing is quite refreshing.

  • http://promiscuouslola.blogspot.com/ Cate

ok, now I dnt feel so bad for not liking the naked shot either. I felt like saying it out loud was body snarking, but I really just think it’s a bad shot of her. :S

  • carolynmo

It’s amazing to me that you two haven’t met her yet. Boy, would I love to be a fly on the wall for that encounter.

    • EEKstl

I was thinking the same thing – that it was surprising that TLo hasn’t met her.  I have to think she’d want to meet YOU guys, in truth!

  • lilazander

I love Heidi, and as far as I am concerned , she can do no wrong. It’s impossible for me to be impartial here.

  • pippitypup

It’s the last shot that really does her no favors. All the others were beautiful, but that last one, with the peach-ish light, the exposed sternum, and the tired eyes, scream Cheap Cougar at the Bar.

  • TheOriginalLulu

I happen to agree with her on the cosmetic surgery thing. There’s nothing wrong with having a nose job if your nose bothers you, but there’s plenty of concrete evidence that trying to fight off the aging process with repeated surgeries just doesn’t yield the best results. I hope she never lets a scalpel near that gorgeous face of hers.

The editorial is dumb. Just another let’s show the world how hot Heidi is. As if we didn’t already know. They should have dressed her up, made her up, gone with some sort of theme, and done something different and fun with the pictures. Tsk. Missed opportunity.

  • holdmewhileimnaked

i think i feel worse about what happened to her than she does.
in fact, & even though her show is impossible, i hope thats true. a lot of resiliency & a lot of kids, maybe.

  • EEKstl

I agree that nekkid picture is not particularly flattering to her and may I say…yay!  Not in a mean way because she doesn’t look good – she looks gorgeous, always will.  But because it’s nice to see these icons little “real”er. I wish Photoshop would just go away and be un-invented.

    • holdmewhileimnaked

photoshop does lots of amazing things other than bizarre airbrushing.
in fact, airbrushing was airbrushing before photoshop was ever someone’s eye twinkle, lightbulb over the head, whatever.
what you & i & nearly everyone else really wanna see gone is the socially constructed need for everyone to look a certain way, & that way is the empty, lineless, spotless, weightless & characterless way that those of us who are paid to abuse photoshop are forced to make those of us in front of the camera, look.

  • http://janeaustensworld.wordpress.com/ Vic

The nude photo only emphasizes that she’s no longer young and that she’s had children. While her face and figure are spectacular for her age, the lack of body fat merely accentuates her bones and sinews. It’s better to cover up some and leave us guessing.

    • Chantelle James

This is exactly my issue with these pics: the lack of body fat is making her look more skeletal than sexy, especially up around her sternum.

  • M Carlson

I love that they kept the wrinkles (are those really wrinkles or just crinkles) around her eyes on the cover.

  • didntwanttomakeaprofile22

every time a chick gets naked its not to turn someone else on, and you guys should no better as you’re the queens OF distinguishing fashion from just being hot. You guys are my mecca sometimes and then you just confuse and disappoint me at times

    • http://www.tomandlorenzo.com/ Tom and Lorenzo

Maybe you shouldn’t make us your mecca, then.

  • MilaXX

Like the interview, hate the bodysuit/bathing suit and the nude looks awkward. LOVE seeing a face that doesn’t have all the crows feet completely photoshopped away.

  • http://twitter.com/gatecrewgirl Trotter Roller

I’m a lady lover here (of German ancestry – fart jokes are hilarious!) and that naked shot is weird and not hot at all.  The whole oo don’t look at me I’m pure schoolgirl thing is just misogynist (told you I was a lady who loves ladies) and gross..

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1476648069 Scott Cooper

That naked picture isn’t hot, nor is it intended to be.  It’s notice to the industry that she’s still got it.

  • granddelusion

She ALWAYS gets on my nerves. In fact, she irritates the crap out of me. And I wish people would learn what the “eye of the storm” is, and use the expression correctly.

  • giiiirrrr

I LOVE the cover shot.  It’s a little Lauren Hutton/Dyan Cannon, and that’s a *very* good thing.

  • Lina_bee

This reminds me a lot of Christie Brinkley shots from the early 80s, right down to the gaudy bling. I really don’t see the appeal.

  • sockandaphone

these pictures are just….kinda awkward. but cant deny shes a gorgeous person.

  • calimon

The nude pose TLo is questioning I believe is a reference to the classic Botticelli painting “The Birth of Venus.”

Either way, I was happy and relieved to see an older non-spring-chicken to pose nude, especially semi-seductively. As a 30-something year old I am starting to feel the pressures of the ever-increasing trend towards cosmetic surgery. However, I already know a number of men who at my age and older would love to cozy up to Heidi K’s body today. Considering her age and motherhood, and alleged lack of plastic-surgery, I would say she looks stunning and yes, even sexy! I find her self-confidence and acceptance of reality is refreshing and encouraging. You rock that nudity, Lady!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=527486497 Kirsten Flanagan

How long are her arms? The nude one really seems photoshopped to me…

  • http://korilian.livejournal.com/ korilian

OMG they didn’t smooth out the wrinkles! I love it!

  • joancarol

I have an iFart app on my phone.

  • joancarol

I have an iFart app on my phone.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_UXHOYXPNJJ4MQH6IHYSI3G5ILI M

It’s “not flattering” because it’s not photoshopped (though I agree the pose is strange).  There is very little photoshop to be seen here!  And I like that.  She has, what, 4 kids?

  • lrhoff

She does look good…..gotta give her that.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=4501978 Martha Jackson Deutsch

love the nakey pic because it shows she has gestated. not in any bad way, but it looks like they could have made her look unnaturally flat and muscle-y and they didn’t.

  • Mexxoo

Was the naked shot meant to show off the bracelet?  It so, it’s a pretty good balance – looks better on the lower wrist then the upper, given that her hair kind of matches the flow of the bracelet.  Too bad her armpit itched and she reached to scratch it right as the shot was being taken!

  • Louise Bryan

I thought the bathing suit was a leotard for work-outs, hmmm.  I don’t get the naked shot at all, and it just looks weird.  I guess the cover-up is to maintain a PG-13 rating the magazine.

  • nannypoo

The naked picture makes it appear that she feels the need to cover her lady parts. In that case, she should put on some clothes.

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

Um – why are we looking at her at all?  I am glad she still looks fabulous, yay for her.  But why is it important to feature her at all?

    • http://www.tomandlorenzo.com/ Tom and Lorenzo

Um – why are you reading posts that you don’t want to read?

  • Daenyx

I’ve never gotten the “desperately trying to cover my privates” pose, either.  No, it is not sexy.

  • http://profiles.google.com/basedow.maureen Maureen Basedow

The covering-your-parts is a reference to Classical ideals of beauty – nude Venus/Aphrodite statues cover themselves in this way. The mythological basis is that the goddess was surprised by a mortal would-be lover while bathing. This is sexy to heterosexual males, I guess, although the end result of surprising Venus is never good for the guy.

    • Derek_anny

       Never good at all.

Although I don’t see it as being surprised, but as a way of saying “I’m completely naked, but I’m not going to show you, just tease.”

  • PaulaBerman

I love Heidi and admire her (and I hope she and Seal work it out), but… is it really true she has had no work done? I remember her early career, and I could swear she has implants and has had her nose tweaked a little. I believe her that she hasn’t had any anti-aging work done to her face or body, but I can’t completely believe she has had nothing done, ever.

  • ccm800

I think the body shot is kind of authentic looking – quite veristic in comparison to what is out there…the flaws show – what little flaws there are.  I dog Heidi…she seems like a feisty kiddo.

    • Derek_anny

Authentic is a good word.  The flaws are the exception that prove the rule, somehow.

  • butter nut

i love that she hasn’t fucked up her face.  i swear, wrinkles are going to become the next fetish, since so few celebs have them anymore.  in 10 yrs, all these botox bimbos will be going under the knife to give themselves deeper crow’s feet.

  • nancylee61

She is way skinnier than I remember her being on the last season of PR. I don’t think she looks good at all in these pictures, especially her face. Look at that last picture, not photoshopped. Tired, skinny, pale. Klum is a gorgeous woman, when she looks healthy. Here – not so much.

  • PeaceBang

Very interesting, very different. It doesn’t seem to even try to be fashion-y because it’s so much honest than fashion editorials ever try to be. She looks beautifully haggard, like a stunning woman who has been through a lot of life and whose appearance reflects that. I find that to be courageous on behalf of everyone involved. No, she’s not in the least bit “hot” in the naked photo — she looks uncomfortable and also fierce. I dig the whole thing and will actually buy ALLURE to see this in person.

Well said.  I love the naked shot for the same reasons.

She’s still undeniably beautiful and the lines around the eyes look smashing on her.  I don’t dislike the nude shot.  She’s working her snakey pose.  For all that, she’s never really grabbed me as a model.  In the same way that Christy Brinkley and Cheryl Tiegs always left me cold.  All three perfectly lovely — especially La Klum — but bland and without fire.  I like the odd looking girls with something slightly amiss.   Still, very nice cover shot of her.  It was interesting to read that she was never able to get runway work — and that Michael Korrs himself had rejected her in that role.  Ballsy of her to mention it and endearing.

I don’t like this photoshoot. the nude does her no favors and frankly the bathing suit is a little too, um, in my face with her ladybits for my taste. But the close face frame one is nice. She’s still a very beautiful woman.

I actually think the naked photo is refreshing. She looks real and not airbrushed to pieces.

I like the naked photo because her skin does not appear to be airbrushed. Even though there is no skin of a stretch mark, it looks lie a real stomach of a real women who is not 25 and who really has been pregnant multiple times. Incredible! Thank you, Heidi!

Just because one is skinny doesn’t mean they look good naked. She should work out.
