The Smash gals hit the town and if they have one thing in common it’s that they dress like Amish movie stars.
Megan Hilty attends the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in NYC in a bklue dress paired with Walter Steiger pumps.
Katharine McPhee attends Royal Oak 40 Years: From Avant-Garde to Icon in NYC in a Michael Kors dress.
Would a print or showy piece of jewelry kill these ladies? Let’s break it down one time.
This is all serviceable. It’s a good color for her and the shape is perfect for her. And shut our mouths, she did actually wear a showy ring and shoes with some pattern to them. As her pretend-stylists, we feel we must speak out about the extra pounds of hair on her and voice our feelings that pulling her hair up and/or back while wearing some jewelry to frame the face would’ve given this look more impact and made it seem less generic.
Again, it’s a great dress and the color suits her. But a white watchband, honey? Really? THAT’S your statement-making piece? This isn’t tough: a ponytail and a bright bangle or simple necklace, paired with a simple pair of black sandals or pumps. She’s got a gorgeous dress on but everything else about the look says she’s just about to start her shift.
