Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 Collection
One thing has always been true about Marc Jacobs: the bitch knows how to put on a show. Transforming the Cour Carrée du Louvre into a Belle Epoque train station, having a custom built steam engine pull into the runway, and then directing your models to disembark one by one with an accompanying porter to carry the accompanying exquisite Louis Vuitton bags down the runway? That is genius. It’s not unusual to see traces of his eponymous line in his work for Louis Vuitton and it’s no different here, as he embraces the Belle Epoque fully when he only hinted at in his own collection. The resulting looks are luxurious and aristocratic; pure Fashion with a capital F. Just gorgeous. Make sure you watch the video to get the full effect.
