Liam Hemsworth for Flaunt Magazine

Posted on March 12, 2012

Darlings, here’s your Hemsworth for the day.

Liam Hemsworth featured in the latest issue of Flaunt magazine.

And unfortunately, he’s wearing a really unflattering sweater. The good news is, we’re still happily jumping into the maelstrom of Hunger Games marketing. Those plucky little kids are being shoved onto every red carpet and magazine cover in the land, making our jobs much easier. The even better news is, this one’s really photogenic and despite the unfortunate sweater on the cover, is styled hotly. Maybe not the most interesting styling in the world, but hey, a tank top never hurt anyone who could fill it out, amirite?

that sweater is hilariously tragic. But I’ll take the tank top shot :)

Tank top shot FTW! Love the boots in it too.

  • eclare

The sweater may be unflattering, but those pants fit like a dream.

  • gabbilevy

I will happily watch three movies worth of him brooding.

  • Kristinoten

well, he’s got the furrowed brow, clenched jaw look down.  Other than the same facial expression, he looks great here.  I even like the silly sweater.

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Liam, yowza yowza.  the clothes?  meh.

  • http://twitter.com/algaechick algaechick

    I’m-a-serious-actor—-see-my-serious-face? (and this-serious-face, and this-serious-face, and this-serious-face)

  • SpcilK

Yawn! Same expression and head tilt.

  • TheLaurenJean

    Oh good lord, swoon!

  • http://twitter.com/Deac82 Mike M.

    Yup, definitely Team Gale.

  • TAGinMO

Wow, that sweater is unfortunate. I’ll bet it’s decent-looking in real life, but on this low-contrast magazine cover, it looks like he’s trying to cover up a goiter or something.

    • http://twitter.com/algaechick algaechick

Pretty sure the shot above the tank top pic is the same sweater-looks better than on the cover but still looks pretty tragic to me.

      • CPK1

I’m definitely thinking its tragic. And it’s too small  and not in a good way. The sleeves are too short.

    • charlotte

The sweater kinda looks like Hunger Games wardrobe. Poor kid from the Seam and all that.

  • MilaXX

That sweater looks like something the Glee wardrobe department would have put on Chris Colfer this season and I hate the 2 stalks that seem to be attacking him on the cover shot. Otherwise he’s doing a fine job of being the brooding leading man. I like.

  • RebeccaKW

He looks good in the suits, and…leather button-down?  But the sweater is ugly.  And I certainly don’t mind the tank top shot.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=18925 Stephanie Troisi

Sorry wrong brother-it’s like the Fiennes & Baldwins.  I’ll take the older version

    • RebeccaKW

I will, too, but this one is certainly growing up (filling out) nicely.

  • PastryGoddess

That sweater is beyond unfortunate…it looks like he has a hump-shoulder.

Also, his hotness is dimmed by the stench of Miley Cyrus wafting from his pores.  Hopefully his PR person can get him some clarifying body wash ASAP

  • merciblahblah

If he ever had a different expression, I would not recognize him. The Fug Girls had me laughing out loud one day whilst reading Fug the Fromage: The Last Song (http://gofugyourself.com/fug-the-fromage-the-last-song-10-2011) and they talked about how he had one expression through most of the movie (with Miley Cyrus ya’ll – CHELLOOO!!!). I was at work and had to go to the restroom to collect myself because I was CRYING with laughter. He does nothing for me, but I must admit I CANNOT WAIT for The Hunger Games.

    • rawrgrowlrawr

When I’m by myself, I don’t usually audibly. Fug the Fromage: The Last Song made me laugh out loud. Thank you for that.

      • merciblahblah

Glad I could be of assistance!

  • Jasmine Moten

Sorry— he’s cute and all, but he ain’t no Chris! That is one sexy creature. It’s weird though, because they look so similar, yet so different.

  • Sara__B

I wish the photographers had let him smile at least once!

  • serenitynow02

Every time I see him, I think I should know who he is, but I don’t. And he never looks interesting enough to find out. He’s good looking and all, but in kind of a generic good looking young thing kind of way.

  • Dejah_Thoris

A tank top and jeans is fashion. Crazy.

Gotta admit, I wouldn’t make him put a bag over his face before tapping that.

    See, reverse sexism is fun!

  • newleaf1

    Wowza.  This guy is beautiful.

  • http://twitter.com/watchinginkdry Dr Skylaser

That sweater is so weird! It’s like the collar is hanging off his ear. . .

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=49702581 Susan Bullard Mayer

I must say that Hemsworth gene pool is DIVINE!

  • http://twitter.com/arodenha Alli

    MOAR TANK TOP PLZ.

  • Pants_are_a_must

Inferior to his brother, in my opinion, and no hot styling will change it.

  • Sarah Thomas

He looks like Treat Williams’ son.

  • Farthingale

Is it just me, or does he have exactly one expression?

  • Rebecca Johnson

I agree with the rest of the kittens – it’s odd how he shares almost every feature with Chris, yet Chris is undeniably more attractive. I think it’s because you get a lot more personality coming from pictures of the elder bro (check out his spread in the same mag last year:
http://www.tomandlorenzo.com/2011/04/chris-hemsworth-for-flaunt-magazine-2.html). Plus his jaw is just a smidge squarer. Whatever, Liam’s still genetically blessed, and I feel weird having just spent ten minutes clicking back and forth comparing jaw sizes. >.<

    • Kimmu

I almost feel bad for Liam. Most of my convos about him go “Well, it’s not like he’s the dog faced boy, but OMFG Chris. Chris is a tractor beam of hotness.” Thank you, Ricky Bobby, for adding that phrase into my lexicon.

  • https://twitter.com/Gayer_Than_Thou Gayer Than Thou

Most important question: he’s over 18, right?

  • http://twitter.com/jennsaysmeow Fifi LaRoux

    yummy!

  • kingderella

    woof!

  • lalahartma

He doesn’t do it for me.

  • mozzer0906

This is one fine specimen of a man!    The tank top shot is fantastic, but those of him in a suit are pretty amazing too.

  • http://profiles.google.com/shannonlstewart Shannon Stewart

I’m a bit confused by these photos, simply because I’m wondering about the weather — there’s the tank shot, but the rest are all covered up like fall/winter.

  • brokephilosopher

    first thought: YUM
second thought: isn’t he supposed to be playing an 18 year old??
third thought: the internet says that actually he’s only 21. reeeeally?

  • NICHOLAS PASQUALE

    Woof.

If the sweater were more fitted, I’d probably love it.

  • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

    very nice!

  • CQAussie

“a tank top never hurt anyone who could fill it out”…..sadly too many think this applies to them.  SIGH.
But my, does Hemsworth fill out his tank top =)  Much appreciated!

  • LesYeuxHiboux

Boy howdy does he give me the creeps. Go mope somewhere else, I’ll take that kid playing Peeta who has a sense of humor and a grin.

  • jhedman

I haven’t been reading the comments on the Hunger Games pole-dancing coverage here, so please forgive me if you’ve already heard this, but… T & Lo should take a closer look at THE HUNGER GAMES, because it’s right in several of your wheelhouses, namely 1) fashion  2) reality tv  and 3) science fiction.   Some of the most important supporting characters are *stylists*, and Katniss says several times through out the series, “Never underestimate the power of a good stylist.”   The Games themselves are the Roman arena for the broadcast era — reality tv taken to its most ugly extreme.  And then of course it’s all set in a post-apocalyptic US.

The books are a quick, fun read — infinitely better than Twilight — and with any luck at all, the movie won’t suck.  But if ever there was a vehicle that deserved T Lo coverage, THE HUNGER GAMES movie is it.  Please?  I’m sure there are many among the bitter kittens & precious unborn fawns that would love to hear what you have to say.  TYVM.

  • Stephen Bornstein

Tank top and a leather shirt…..they obviously know who to appeal to…Yum

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2P2ANLRZ6YAVGONA36I2AQJYGI VicD

low hairline … of course, he can’t help that, but it makes him look like a cave man.  Perhaps that’s the appeal?

  • http://twitter.com/mellafe natalia h

Is he the male version of KStewart? I see one facial expression.

  • turtleemily

It’s like the plant on the cover is reaching to tweak his nipple.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_NFFOY4GA4NUZYQ5X4AW5ZQWJTM Maria

Nice effort, but I’ll still take your brother instead, Liam.

  • miwome

I know I’m like the only one in the world, but I hate him. He just REEKS of douchery to me.

  • Jessica O’Connell

Damn that man looks good in a suit. I say man, but I mean child who is 3 years younger than me and just a little older than my younger brother. I’m going to try ignoring those facts as I stare… :-)

  • bitterk

Not quite baked long enough but in 10 years he could be something to behold
