Glee’s Grant Gustin for Glamoholic

Posted on March 22, 2012

Because sometimes, you just gotta make a slow pitch right over the plate for the fangurls.

Glee‘s Grant Gustin featured in the latest issue of Glamoholic magazine photographed by Michael Freeby wearing some looks from the Joyrich Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

He is so ’80s Tiger Beat material. Tom digs the plaid shirt; Lorenzo digs the striped one.

Age-appropriate kitten swooning may commence.

And it’s funny; we don’t miss Glee a bit.

  • I stopped watching Glee about six weeks ago, and I have not once missed it. Every Tuesday night I’m relieved I don’t have to spend it suffering through another episode.

    • oh my god you’re such an icon and role model, someday I hope to be like you and have such list of accomplishments credited to me in my biography

    • BeeBeauNYC

I stopped watched it last year – trust me, you will only get happier the more time that passes!

    • brokephilosopher

me too!! I actually went back and rewatched a bunch of the episodes from first season–the third season lost EVERYTHING that makes the first season so great.  no more!

      • Glammie

Yep, it became the teen soap opera that was being mocked in Season One.  That said, I know I’ll finish out the season–check out Quinn’s status.  But I can get through a fair amount of bad TV while knitting.  Don’t blame our guys a bit for dropping the show.  A couple of episodes this seasons have been passable, many have been horrific–the kind where you pity the cast.  I don’t think any of the episodes have been good and none have been truly funny.

  • formerlyAnon

Just . . . no.  Tiger Beat, yes. Featuring dull would-be celeb who’s better left to be a catalog model or, more likely, someone’s silly younger brother with truly, inexplicably sculpted hair.  (That hair is about as anti-sexy as a full head of healthy male hair can be, IMO.)

Who am I fooling?  It’s all fine. I’m just too damn old.

    • You nailed it – “as anti-sexy as a full head of healthy male hair can be” – seriously could not be said better.

      • Pinup Ghoul

         I love the greaser/nerd hair.
Who was this guy on Glee? I don’t recognize him a skosh!

        • howdoilook

He’s the new foil to the Gleeks. He’s at Dalton Academy and was a vicious gay bitch turned repentant humanitarian after Karofsky’s suicide attempt. Yawnsauce.

        • He’s Sebastian. I think he looks adorable and will become quite handsome as he ages.

  • Ugh…doing nothing for me.  He’s 18 up top (arm muscles) and 10? below the belt.  Really terrible jeans.  Garanamals??

    • NinaBoo

He looks like a giant toddler.

  • Spicytomato1

Striped shirt = Peter Brady. Enough said.

    • dress_up_doll

Looking at that neckline it looks like it would look nice on Jan Brady as well.

  • Kristen W

That first picture makes his hair look purple.

  • Dan_In_NYC

I know he’s rail-thin and all, but those jeans are just the ultimate in unflattering.  Love his hair.

  • lordandtaylor

Nice teen idol type. He has the unisex, non-threatening look of David Cassidy. I will take the plaid shirt, thanks. By the way, where is GLEE?

    • If you read the last post they did on it, they said they were done blogging it.

  • DinaSews

Too young to drool over, or even admire. Tiger Beat is spot on.

  • he has the sex-appeal of a llama, I really don’t know what gay boys and straight girls see on him (or darren criss for that matter)

    • t

He’s been called meerkat and horse teeth on the show.  His character is very creepy and unappealing to me.  Darren I do find charming.  Grant is no Darren Criss, no matter how much the producers keep trying to find something for him to do.

  • he plays Sebastian, Dalton Academy’s version of Santana

  • He has a very long neck.

  • School’s still in session, so his fans haven’t got here yet.  Or they’re just too excited about going to the midnight showing of Hunger Games.

  • Terence Ng

He’s a cute enough guy, but I’m shocked at how unflattering the clothes are on him…

  • kimmeister

His smile in the picture with his arm raised kind of reminds me of a young, lanky Harry Connick Jr.

  • VioletFem

I’m not a fangirl or anything, but he is very photogenic. Would love to see him in a more creatively styled editorial.

  • Neverbuynewclothes

    What’s with his eyebrow gymnastics?

  • Isana Leshchinskaya

yuck. he looks like he “smells like craigslist”

  • Julie Fountain

He looks better in these pics than he ever did on the show.  And I so would have cut these out and hung them on the back of my closet door in 1988.

  • Neverbuynewclothes

The first picture in the striped shirt — Matthew Broderick in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

  • howdoilook

Ditto! On the Glee stuff, that is.

  • MilaXX

Before I scrolled down I was saying to myself “Tigerbeat”.   That last striped shirt would look great with my red jeans.

    • JDreesen

^ Love.  i am rarely up to date enough on my comment reads to catch this kind of reference, but today is your lucky day, as i have scanned the latest Alba post!  (i mainly recall your earlier comment because i still can’t talk myself into coloured jeans and was wondering how yours were faring.)

  • DCSheehan

So deep-Vs are in and now deep scoop necks? Ick. These do not look good on almost every man. Stop it fashion industry, it is stupid and ugly.

  • AthenaJ

    Helmet hair = not sexy

  • He’s cute. I probably woulda been way into him when I was 13. I am, however, not 13 and therefore… He does have nice eyes.

  • Adorable boy. But, bring him back around with 25 more years on him, THEN, we can talk.

  • GorgeousThings

And it’s funny; we don’t miss Glee a bit.

I was just thinking the same thing.

  • jilly_d

wow.  rare is the guy-ditorial that leaves me this cold.  I’m only 30, and I want to give him a plate of cookies and ask if he needs help with his science project.

    • Sara__B

Yes. He looks a lot like our paper boy, who probably does need help with his science project and would LOVE a plate of cookies. Tall, skinny, assless, and awkward, but with lots of potential.

  • BookishBren

Even when I was 16 I was never attracted to a boy who was so thin I could have kicked his a**. Now, I just want to feed him…. so it’s a fair fight.

  • kirkyo

He’d be perfect for a remake of The Outsiders. Or have they done that already?

  • I loooooove his hair. So dreamy…

  • CQAussie

How old is this man before I swoon?  Eh, who cares?!  *swoons*
That hair is quite epic and I dig the plaid shirt too!

  • AlexisPayne

Wow, I’ve technically only missed one episode (the last one) and still have no idea who this is. Maybe I’ve been tuning in only to tune out?

  • CQAussie

P.S. saw an advert for Glee coming back soon and I rolled my eyes and promptly forgot about Glee by the next ad break.  *shrugs*

  • He has 4 eyebrows. (Get this boy a tweezer. STAT.)

  • PRFan

What a pretty, pretty boy.  Silly clothes.

  • meridian5

Is it me or do the pants not fit correctly?  Are they cords?  They look odd.

  • StillGary

What’s with the arm over the head pose? Are they channelling Katie Holmes? But the kid is really good looking — he is so much more angular looking in the show — I thought it was the actor who played Rory at first, LOL.

  • Beth G

those jeans are HORRIBLE….. would a belt help?  I’m not even sure anything could save them….

  • I don’t miss Glee either.
And his character adds nothing, sorry to say.

  • And introducing: “Brantley,” the newest member of the Sean Cody family. Brantley is new to acting and is trying to make a name for himself in show business. When not playing lacrose with his jock roommates, Brantley enjoys singing to himself and 80′ movies.

  • ThaliaMenninger

That boy has a whole lot of moles. I hope he has someone doing Mole Patrol for him.

  • JDreesen

Grant Gustin from Glee for Glamaholic.

Gosh, what a Garbledy Glob of Goop for my Gizzard to Gobble.

  • julnyes

I see that he is a good looking kid, but he does nothing for me (nor would he have moved my 13 year old heart – she would have been all about Kevin McHale and Harry Shum I think)

  • eh. He’s no Blaine.

  • RedRaven617

Is he the evil Sabastian? I would never have recognized him.

  • aristida_girl

Tiger Beat! Where is my scotch tape so I can adorn my ceiling? (Just kidding, I couldn’t resist 🙂

  • I really need to stop reading any posts you guys make that have to do with anyone or anything associated with Glee. And definitely stop reading the comments from your “bitter kittens”.  What a bunch of sour pusses.  BTW I’m 41, married with a 14 year old daughter.  So I hope my swooning is “age-appropriate” enough for you all.  Oh wait, that’s right, I stopped letting other people define what was age-appropriate for me a couple of decades ago.

    • Goodness, how ever do you get through the day, constantly bombarded by opinions that don’t match your own exactly?

  • OMG, Grant, you’ve come so far. He went to college with me and it seems like only yesterday that he was that goofy freshman in Sweeney Todd. Now here he is on my fave fashion blog. *proud mama feelings*

    zero appeal: clothes and model.

For a second I was like, “Glee’s who?” This shows you how long it’s been since I watched the show. And I don’t miss it at all either (though I hear it’s taken another month long hiatus as usual). As for him…meh.

  • Ogden1990

This cheese stands alone…I miss it.

  • PhillipWilde

He looks cute in his cute boyclothes, but I just don’t like him on the show.

  • t

I stopped watching Glee because of Grant Gustin and his twat character, among other failed stunts that distract from the characters I love.

  • Larkin21

Glee hasn’t been on since you stopped watching anyway.

  • They shot his eyes beautifully. I’d hit it.

  • Put on a belt for goodness sake.

  • I don’t share the outrage at the pants or the plaid or even the hair (though the lacquered quiff is not for me), and I agree that Grant will probably age into a very interesting man, but I am repulsed by a scoop-neck on a man. It never fails to make a guy’s head look weirdly small, and reads like a style borrowed from a from a woman in her fifties. It rubs me the same way as the youthless, sexless, frumpy drag of Eddie Izzard and has me needing to look away fast and summon a cleansing memory of a Calvin Klein ad from the early 90s.
