Matt Bomer in NYC

Posted on January 18, 2012

Hi, Matt Bomer!

Matt Bomer on his way to “The Today Show” in NYC.

We will take everything you have here (with the exception of your dry-cleaning*). We’ll take the coat, the scarf, the gloves, the shades, and definitely the shoes. You can keep the nostril-flaring disdain and high haughtiness, but not because we don’t appreciate it. We’ve been known to flare our nostrils in disdain from time to time ourselves.

*Yes, we know that’s not his dry-cleaning.

      Who is Matt Bomer?

Check out White Collar on USA.  He’s scrumptious.

Earlier seasons of White Collar are now streaming on Netflix…..

        • BuffaloBarbara

Boo-yah. And their new season opener?  They knocked it out of the park.

        • Calliandra L.

Thank you, kind soul. Have scrolled past White Collar a million times. Just watched the pilot and I don’t know how much sleep I will be getting til I get through these two seasons on Netflix ;)

A slice of heaven here on earth. *swoon*

      • Rand Ortega

A delicious dollop of creamy goodness, that’s who.
Like the other posters pointed out, he’s the 2nd lead on “White Collar”.
He’ll be featured this summer playing a stripper w/ Channing Tatum (based on his teen years as a stripper in FL) & Matthew McConaughey in “Magic Mike”.

        • Terence Ng

          He’s a Daisy.

          As in “a dollop of…”.

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Cheryl-Smith/1236306052 Cheryl Smith

Perhaps I don’t understand “2nd lead”???  He is the star of the show.  The actor that plays Peter is wonderful, heck, the whole cast is wonderful (Willie Garson “Mozzie”, love him), but Matt is the star.  JMHO

          • Lynne L

I always thought he’s the lead too… the star.  Like the rest of the cast too.  Great chemistry between Neal and Peter as well as Matt and Tim.
And what’s this about Matt keeping his disdain and haughtiness.  He’s one of the nicest celebs around. Not nice.

      • Anonymous

He was first described to me as “The most handsome man ever” by an extremely straight guy.  He was correct and White Collar is now one of my favorite shows.  Not just because of Matt Bomer, but because it’s also a great show.

        • Anonymous

I love White Collar too. It’s a really fun buddy comedy with Rat Pack style and a slight dose of Leverage-esque cons. Also, I want to keep Mozzie as a treasured pet.

    • http://pleasewelcomeyourjudges.com/ Brian @ PWYJudges

      Yum.

    • http://promiscuouslola.blogspot.com/ Cate

OMG I LOVE HIM. but then i found out he was gay and i was sad. :(
      so very sad…

      • http://profiles.google.com/misslauraschultz Laura Schultz

        oh.

      • Anonymous

You can still love and even fantasize about a gay man sweetie.  We gay men have been doing it for YEARS with straight men…. possibly even your husband.  You probably have just as much chance “hitting that” in real life, gay or straight.  Meaning slim to none…..

        • Anonymous

I love it! Good perspective … because, yeah, I’m sure the only thing keeping me from spooning with this dude is his being gay.

          • Anonymous

Megohd, you can spoon an accomodating gay man. No forking, though… (cue rimshot)

      • Anonymous

a girl still can dream ;)

        and dream I have…

      • MilaXX

I figure I was never gonna met and/or marry him anyway so him being gay doesn’t deter my lust in the least.

        • Anonymous

          Same here.

        • http://promiscuouslola.blogspot.com/ Cate

ha, that seems to be the prevailing sentiment! but if he was straight i could continue to delude myself into thinking that if i ran into him in NY we would just hit it off and i could brag that my BF was the finest specimen of man ever seen on network television.

      • Anonymous

Now I’m sad.  It must be catching.

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/ZKO2AVP457AJBSJNUCFT6Z4VJE BlueEyes

OMG I LOVE HIM too and then I found out too and … I LOVE HIM More!!!  What’s not to love…besides being handsome?  Lots more…the more I read about him and see him with his fans…he’s just a great guy any way you (and I) look at it :)

        • http://promiscuouslola.blogspot.com/ Cate

no, i agree! i still love him, but now i can’t have imaginary sexy time with him :(

Thanks guys! This blog needs more Bomer.

        This WORLD needs more Bomer.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1253053236 Belle Burnett

Are those creases in his jeans?!
For reals?I do find him attractive, and yet he looks like he actually got up a whole hour early and tried on different coats/scarves/over-the-shoulder-bags before realizing that he was now running late — and then he pressed his jeans, grabbed is “on air” outfit, and ran out the door.

      • Anonymous

Don’t jeans from the cleaners always have creases? Ironically his on-air outfit was pretty much what he’s wearing. I don’t recall the slacks but he had on the brown coat and those shoes. He did have on a nice vest and tie -but he may have that on here too.

    • Anonymous

      Sigh.

    • Anonymous

Oh yes please!! I cannot wait for Magic Mike!!! As for his haughty disdain, I’ve seen too many shots of him smiling and grinning with the paparrazi to think he really means it. Even his appearance on the today show he seemed so thankful to be there and wanted to shake everyone’s hand.
I do find it really really odd that he doesn’t have a garment bag for his clothes.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_LFQEVI44IYFNRS36BEOYZAE2FE Claudia

what is that white thing near his right coat lapel?

    • Anonymous

You can take the clothes, and I’ll take what’s left!

      Who irons their jeans?  Seriously!?

      • http://twitter.com/Goldielox73 Goldie

I knew someone who took theirs to the dry cleaner and had them starched.  Seriously?!

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_B53PQYXSJR4YJBV3J6BWYSICRQ Jamie

Goodness he is a fine male specimen. (sigh)

    • Renee Thomas

He looks more put-together here than most men at any given red carpet event, including the ones where they wear tuxes!

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_GFMOZFM3WT3T56EZHVZFK7UXSI Ramon

He has inhuman face bone structure. Can’t wait for that stripper movie, even though I know it is going to be lousy. I wish they could go crazy and make it crapstacular, but who am I kidding? There will never be another “Show Girls.”

      • Ruth Gottesman

The stripper movie is by Steven Soderburgh so at least there’s some home of something interesting, don’t you think?

    • Anonymous

No idea who he is but he looks good. Love the shoes. And it’s nice to see the shoes because my husband just overhauled his work wardrobe for a new job and got very similar ones, in brown and black. I helped with the clothes (thank you Banana Republic) but I left him to get the shoes on his own. He said as far as he could gather those were the “in” thing and I guess he was right! (I work from home now so I know nothing anymore about appropriate office attire.)

    • Anonymous

Wait, Matt Bomer carries his own dry cleaning? Matt? Matt? I’ll clear my calendar, honey, just let me know when you need me.

    • Anonymous

So glad White Collar is back! Fun show, and he is so ridiculously handsome, I’d watch him even if the show was the worst thing on TV. Just the beginning of a big career.

    • Larissa Pelc

You can have all the clothes and accessories, and I’ll take what’s left.  If only I was his type.  Sigh.

    • MilaXX

Love him! Even stayed up late to watch his show last night.

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

The gods of good genes have certainly smiled down on Matty.  Plus, he’s a southern boy, so he has very nice manners in interviews, and he’s a son of Texas, so he actually knew how to handle that shotgun in Season 1 of White Collar.

I love seeing him in photos, because he seems almost incapable of taking a bad picture, and he can wear just about anything well.  Including a big purple scarf.

    • http://beautyforrealgirls.blogspot.com/ accidental housewife

He looks as insanely good as he always looks. I don’t usually like men who are that pretty, but there’s something extra special about him. Maybe it’s the twinkle in his eyes.

I have to tell y’all this, because you’re the only ones who will appreciate it. A few weeks ago, I was watching something on USA, when a commercial for the new season of White Collar came on. His character says “we’ll give them something to look at”. Then there’s scene after scene of Bomer being gorgeous, while a bunch of comments about him flashed on the screen. And they used a comment that I made about him, right here on this very board, a couple months ago. I saw my screen name and had to rewind to be sure. I almost fell out of my chair.

That’s, sadly, probably the closest I’ll ever get to Matt Bomer.

      • http://twitter.com/rgmx Mercy

Ha!  That’s fabulous!  Did they quote you correctly and everything?

        • http://beautyforrealgirls.blogspot.com/ accidental housewife

They did. I remember posting the comment.

      • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

        How cool is that?

    • Anonymous

      I love him…and I love White Collar…mmm..just love him

    • Anonymous

He bugs me. When he smiles, it doesn’t reach his eyes.

Doesn’t keep me from wanting him and Chris Pine to play brothers in something, though.

    • Anonymous

I have no idea what sort of actor he is but he is one fine looking man. Dude has style I’ll say that for him and this is a great look right down to the shoes. And just look how well everything fits. Mmmmm. The white tag(?) on the scarf looks odd but I’m nit picking.

    • Anonymous

Well, he’s too conventionally handsome for me.  I magnanimously cede any rights, present or future, to my fellow bitter kittens. Since I’ll never meet him & find out, I don’t even have to leave a loophole for “incredibly intelligent, funny, & kind and/or sheer inexplicable magnetism.”

    • Anonymous

I guess he heard about the whole crotch staring thing and decided to cover up

    • http://twitter.com/Menshevixen DH

I keep making comic-book-movie casting decisions here, but I need him to play Dick Grayson, stat.

    • Anonymous

He looks like a young Rob Lowe in the last picture.

    • Anonymous

I got all excited over the colors just from the thumbnail. I love a deep purple and I think it’s really underused in general, but especially for men. Also, I dig the whimsy of the pocket square, which is an eerily good match for the wash on his jeans.

    • BuffaloBarbara

Man, Matt Bomer is my current favorite flavor of awesome.  It’s not just the looks (though, DAYUM).  He’s a good actor, and when he speaks in interviews, he comes off as intelligent and well-spoken.  And he seems to understand, like some actors don’t, that when you’re heading up a show, you’re responsible for a whole lot of people’s work lives.  I completely respect that.  Too many actors–*cough*CharlieSheen*cough*–are way too flaky about whether or not they’re currently “feeling” a part, and don’t seem to understand that if they flake out and the show tanks, people lose their livelihoods.

    • Jill Roberts

Don’t forget the pocket square, guys.  Divine!

    • Anonymous

Hey you can pick up a garment bag at Jack’s for like a buck 99….honest to God, go ahead cuz you’re ruining an otherwise good look.

    • http://twitter.com/ShelfAfterlife Shelf Afterlife

And a pocket square!  Dapper Matt is Dapper!

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_3AJ237ND3GAHDQJZ4TLCO4WLRA Emily

      Love him.

    • Anonymous

rarely does one see a picture that so well illustrates the concept of “with his nose in the air.”

    • http://needtherapy.tumblr.com/ skadi1

He doesn’t exactly rev my motor, so to speak, but aesthetically, he as good in real life as he does on TV. Impressive.

    • Anonymous

      LOVE HIM!

    • Anonymous

      Hi Mary!

    • Anonymous

Is it possible for someone to be too good looking? Because he is just that.

    • Elias Pineda

      perfection

    • Anonymous

Really…walking to the Today show with your change of clothing. I guess Matt never heard of a garmet bag.

    • Anonymous

The only thing White Collar needs is more shirtless Matthew Bomer.

    • Anonymous

I LOVE the purple and the camel pairing.  Hmmm….must work that into my winter wardrobe somehow.

    • Anonymous

eww. creased jeans? i thought the only person who wears creased jeans was chevy chase.
