Taylor Swift in NYC

Posted on November 23, 2011

We’re pop culture/fashion bloggers, which means, by definition, we’re cheeky little bastards. So when, somewhere along the line in our opinionating, we offered that Taylor Swift makes our teeth ache and our asses itch, we were delighted to find that many people were highly offended and put out that someone on the internet said something less than kind about a highly paid celebrity. Gleefully, we continued to mention our dislike of her whenever we got the chance.  Sorry, but that kind of stuff is like mother’s milk to us.

But really, Swiftians. You should just calm down. She hasn’t made it onto our Celebrity Hate List, after all. In fact, our true feelings about Taylor don’t really run that deep. We just find her irritating and twee to a migraine-inducing extent. We can even occasionally compliment her, like right now as we note that her streetwalking outfit is sassy and cute. Of course, we’re going to have to follow that up by saying it’s a bit too primary-colored and that the cableknit tucked into the waist band might not have been our recommendation here. But still: cute.

Let’s talk about the bag.

Fendi New Silvana Bag

It’s sharp and chic. Perhaps a bit too mature-looking for Taylor, but a pretty killa bag nonetheless. And just to give y’all something to discuss other than how mean we are to poor Taylor Swift…

    Yea, esp the Yellow One!!!

  • I do like the blue Fendi, but of all the designer bags out there, this would not be my choice.  The gray and yellow one are a definite Nay.

  • Sobaika Mirza

She looks great when she’s not doused in sequins, tulle, and fairy dust.

  • Anonymous

I think she looks adorable, and as for the bag OH MY GOD YES.

    • Anonymous

  • Jessica Rowe

Isn’t she cold?  Everyone else is wearing parkas and jackets… and her poor little legs are all bare.  But I like the lipstick with the primary colour pairing.

    • It’s been unseasonably warm in NYC lately, so most people are overdressing for the weather. Lots of wool coats and scarves even though it’s 50-60 degrees out. If this is from this past weekend (which hit almost 65!), she’s perfectly dressed for the weather.

  • Christina Brennan

What is that big 13 on her hand?

    • Anonymous

      It’s her lucky number.

It is a great example of the Swifty hichschool preciousness that I reckon as the source of TLo’s annoyance at her.

      • Anonymous

Seriously.  How old is she?  Who writes that shit on their hand past the age of 13?

        • She’s a bit superstitious about it, kind of like athletes and their lucky underwear.

        • Anonymous

          Uhhh…. tattoo artists?

      • In the immortal words of Lt. Murtaugh, she’s “getting too old for that shit.”

    • Anonymous

13 is her lucky number, I’m guessing she drew it on her hand for her last concert? Or something.

    • Michelle Cruz

She does that on tour. 13 is he favorite lucky number. I have no idea why she doesn’t it wash it off when she goes out. She is 21 after all.

  • Oh I love the color combination. I like the bag in mustard though.

  • Oh man, I want that whole outfit. I like the bag, but I’m not going to get it, so now I’m in pursuit of the rest. To the internet!

  • Anonymous

I find myself liking her for what she isn’t…(can you hear me Lohan?)…. Does that make any sense?
Of course I love the bag…

  • Anonymous

Why is she walking around without a jacket? It’s cold outside. The bag is fab and the shoes are cute.

  • Taylor Swift’s twee, bland-ness irritates me. She’s a very talented and pretty girl, just BORING, style-wise.

She really needs to wear more saturated colors like these on the red carpet. They look great on her.

And the bag is just… OK.

  • Anonymous

    Love the bag!

Why does she have the #13 on her hand?

  • A bag I like for once. Long strap, foldover snap. And cute. I won’t bother looking up price, I know it’s outrageous.

  • YEA. Even the ball of annoying that is Taylor Swift can’t spoil the beauty of that bag.

  • YEA!

  • Anonymous

She looks lovely in that styled within an inch of her life way.

  • Anonymous

Cute bag but boring-ish colors. NAY-ish.

  • NAY. I feel like I’ve seen this in my grandmother’s closet.

  • I am of two minds about the Swift. On the one hand, her songs can be catchy and fun (Mean is my jam), I think she has talent, and she seems refreshingly self-possessed. On the other, she tries way too hard to be adorable, she’s written a lot of shitty (and surprisingly menacing and creepy) songs about boys she likes and girls she hates, and I’m very much pro-Kanye.

Regardless, this is actually pretty cute and shows a lot of style in my opinion. But what is going on with that Pisces sign on her hand? Looks juvenile, while the rest of the look is age-appropriate.

  • Anonymous

She looks great here.  Agree she needs to untuck the sweater then she would be very close to a WERQ for a Gal on the Street.

I like the looks of the purse and it sets off the outfit but it is not really my style.

  • Anonymous

very cute, both Taylor and the bag!

  • Anonymous

    Crayola rules!

  • Cute outfit. Nice photo op of country star shopping in the Big Apple. Gawwwwllliiiieeee!

  • Anonymous

I love her entire outfit.  The mix of colors takes a pretty basic look and makes it quite interesting.

Love the bag also but it’s more interesting in one of the colorways that shows contrast on the flap.  Still, the blue bag is pretty great.

  • Judy_J

I like the bag, and though I’m not a fan, I admit she does look cute.  What’s with the number 13 tattooed on her hand?  Or is it a stencil of a capital B?

    • Anonymous

Maybe she’s sporting the unlucky number to show us she likes to live dangerously?  To give her an edge??

Very winning outfit, though, and love the bag in both blue and mustard versions.

      • Anonymous

        An edge? La Swift? BWAHAHAHAHA.

        • Anonymous

Well, if she did attempt an edge, I’m sure it’d still come off as twee.  Call it a twedge.  Or edgee?  Twedgee?

  • Anonymous

YAY but only in that color. Is she a singer or an actress? I’m too bored to look it up.

  • Anonymous

    YEA! Loooove the blue.

  • Anonymous

Am I the only one who thinks that skirt is really unflattering? I understand the concept, but the execution is BAD.

    • I think it would have been considerably elevated had she NOT tucked the sweater into the waistband.  I mean, really!  Who tucks a sweater into a skirt like that?  Overall pretty cute, though…and Taylor Swift makes me weep for the days of really good country music.  You know, when you could distinguish that it was country music and not soft rock or whatever the hell it is now.  But I digress………..

      • I’m with you. Bring back real country music.

      • Anonymous

Maybe the waist of the skirt was a tad too big for her…

  • Anonymous

For $1825, an interior pocket is not too much to ask.

    Fucking fashion accessories. Fucking fuck.

  • Anonymous

  • Cathy S

The bag is nice and she’s freakin’ adorable.

  • MilaXX

Yea, I think the choice of color helps keep it from looking to mature.

    • Are you talking about Swift or the bag?

      • MilaXX

The bag I think the beige and mustard color are for an older woman, but the bright blue makes it young and fresh.

        • Anonymous

How old is “older?” Cause I like the mustard AND the blue. 😉

          • MilaXX

Let me put it this way. Taylor’s young and barely 20. The bag is cute but the beige and the yellow look better suited for the over 30 or business-y crowd. On it’s own they are all nice bags, but if she was carrying it, it would look like she was carrying her granny”s purse. Especially with this outfit.

  • Julie Fountain

Yea! I love it. Especially the blue one.

  • Anonymous

Yea the bag!  I like all the colors.  She looks adorable, too.  Isn’t she cold, though?  Everyone in the background is wearing what look like warm coats.

  • Anonymous

Tucked in sweaters are a big no no.  One of those things you were told in childhood not to do, like white shoes after Labor Day and mixing black and navy blue.  Even when you’re as skinny as she is, it just looks lumpy and awkward.  The shoes are cute though.

  • Anonymous

I suspect she tucked her sweater in her skirt so I’d know she is thinner than I am. Which makes me hate her. But since it is almost Thanksgiving, I will ignore my paranoia and forgive her.
Especially if I can have the yellow bag, please.

  • Natasha Fairweather

Yea, and I think she looks great in this outfit. She actually looks like an adult person and not a Disney Princess vat clone.

  • Rebecca Spooner

That blue on top with the yellow skirt with the red lipstick…. I just can’t help but think of Snow White’s dress. And that’s not a good thing

    • Anonymous

      My thoughts exactly.

  • Wrenaria

Love the bag! Especially the yellow one.

  • Anonymous

YEA in the taupes. I’m not a fan of TS, but I will admit that I liked her when she hosted Saturday Night Live a couple of years ago.

  • Anonymous

I never vote “Yay or Nay” on handbags because for me what’s on the inside is just as important as what’s on the outside.  I don’t care how chic, colorful, killa, or whatever the bag is, if there’s just one large unpartitioned space inside, I don’t want it.  (Even if price weren’t an issue.)  So, I abstain.

Taylor looks cute but I totally agree with Rebecca Spooner about the Snow White association.  It jumped into my mind instantly, and it’s not a good thing to have jumping into one’s mind.

    • Anonymous

I’m with you on the handbags. No inside pockets = no go.

This girl’s face freaks me out, she looks like one of those squinty-eyed Muppets to me.

  • Anonymous

I just realized why I’ve always liked her look — she looks like a fashion doll, like vintage Barbie or Pullip. And therefore, extremely twee outfits are not only acceptable, they are required!

  • Anonymous

Love the bag, but hate the shoes

  • Anonymous

I’m soooo with you on the Taylor Swift front.  I mean, she’s a great role model for young girls, blah blah and all that.  I agree.  But there’s just something about her I find irritatingly naïve and her eyes, ew, like slits?  I dunno, I can’t really stand her, for no reason  whatsoever.  I don’t listen to her music and I’ve never seen her interviewed, I just see her turn up in photos on your blog and others, and therefore – can’t stand her.

I like her bag, though.  And tucking the sweater in makes me twitch.

    • Anonymous

Criticizing her clothing, her singing, her makeup, her hair, her career, her irritating naivete — that’s all fair game. But when you say “ew” to her eyes being “slits” it harkens back to slurs against Asians. Unacceptable. Over the line.
I just had to say something about that.

      • Anonymous

Whoa, alyce. I’m as sensitive to racial slurs as anyone, but there’s no way that a critique against the world’s blondest blonde is remotely anti-Asian.

        • Anonymous

I did not say the remark was anti-Asian. Clearly, Taylor Swift is not Asian. But words have power and they should be used with discretion. Knocking someone for the shape of their eyes — the way they were born –using a derogatory slur that was used against Asians is my point.

      • Anonymous

Fair enough, but TSwift isn’t Asian. Nothing I said references her ethnicity in any way. Nor did I compare her to any other ethnic group. She always looks like she just bit into a lemon. Like Renee Zellweger.

  • aimee_parrott

Yea!  Although the one Taylor’s carrying is NOT my favorite.  The yellow one is beeyouteeful.

  • Anonymous

Oh, and voting YEA on the blue bag only.

  • Anonymous

Leaving aside my non-leatherishness, the blue one is gorgeous. And she’s cuter in this outfit than in the gowns.

  • Yea!

  • Aly Light

I own both that skirt and that sweater. Combined price is under $50.

  • Anonymous

Yea! Blue and neutral best! So pretty. Would never spend $1800, but it is fun to look at the pretty things 🙂

  • Anonymous

I feel a completely irrational white-hot hatred for Taylor Swift . This outfit does not change that. I will now close my eyes and envision moments after this photo was taken, Kanye West showed up in a clown suit and pied her in the face. Ahh….much better.

  • Anonymous

That bag is a big yeah! If I were into handbags that one (or its knockoff) would be in my walk in closet. Taylor Swift? I’m with you. She makes me sqint and grind my teeth and neither my opthamologist nor my orthodontist like that.

  • M Carlson

Yay only in blue. The others are…boring.

  • I like the outfit on her. I *do* think she portrays herself as exceedingly vapid, but she still looks cute here. Love the blue Fendi.

  • Lauren Maier

    The bag?  Yea!
    Swift?  Nay.

And can someone tell me what she’s done to her hand?  Is that permanent?  Is it a zodiac sign?  Does she like the number 13?  Did one of elementary school students decide to draw her something pretty on her skin?  *GASP*  Is she in love with 13 from “HOUSE”??? Can she be a lesbian?  That would be awesome.  😀

  • CQAussie

Superb bag, I’d like one in the brown/beige/taupe and the blue/green one.  I like that skirt and the sweater but agree, not sure that tucking it in was the right thing to do.  Hate the shoes.  Correction – I like the actual shoes, I just hate how they look with this outfit.  Taylor Swift in general is a huge snooze fest for me and today is not exception.  I don’t really know why she has to look all cute and twee ALL the time.

Why does she have a number 13 on her hand?  Is that yet another hipster trend I’ve not heard of?

  • Anonymous

Yea on the blue one.  Not sure I like the multi-colors of the other 2.

  • Anonymous

The outfit is a step in the right direction. I like the color of the skirt, the lip is good, and the bag looks great. My main complaints: the tucked in sweater, the big 13 on her hand and, of course, the fact that it’s actually Taylor Swift wearing all this. She drives me up the wall. If I had to list one reason, it’s the feigned surprise at award shows. Every time.

  • Anonymous

YEA! Love the yellow and blue.

  • Anonymous

Yea on the bag, especially in the blue and yellow. Love her outfit, too. She looks very sweet but still stylish.

I was totally irritated when my daughter fell under the Taylor Swift spell, but now I don’t really mind. There are many worse musical avenues for kids to explore.

  • kjthorp

YEA!! Especially the blue one. The bag makes her outfit.

  • Love both the blue and yellow versions. I also like Taylor’s cute red shoes.

  • Anonymous

Yea to the bags.  I’m not crazy about the beige one, but that’s probably just a side effect from too many silly putty shoes and that horrible dress from yesterday.

I also agree about Taylor tucking in that sweater, but I have to say that I love her outfit, I love the colors.  Very sharp and eye catching.  I’m no Swift fan, either, but this little outfit looks sharp.  And there’s not a bit of beige in sight.  WOOT!

  • Anonymous

Yea on the bag, I love the taupe one! Nay on tucking in a cable knit sweater. Do people _really_ do that?

    • Anonymous

I remember doing that as a teenager back in the late 70s, early 80s. I was so skinny, I could tuck in a cable knit sweater and not have a lump anywhere. It probably looked really stupid, but my vanity prevailed.  I remember my brother (who owned a pretty nice clothing store at the time) was visiting and said, “What the hell are you, a hick?” Haven’t done it since.

      • Anonymous

That’s a pretty funny story about your brother.

  • Hilary Sain

    Nay, too shiny and cheesy

  • Anonymous

    Duh, YEA.  Especially in blue.

  • Sara__B

Taylor looks cute without being saccharine. YEA to the bag in shades of mustard, mostly because of the interesting color. I’m not crazy about the other two.

  • Anonymous

Can’t stand her, LOVE what she’s wearing.  The red lip might be a tad too bright for daytime, but it looks great with the vintage feel of the ensemble.  It’s almost a “tennis, anyone?” kind of look.

  • Anonymous

This is the best I have ever seen her look. This kind of quietly retro, preppy look is perfect for her without straying into Stupid Princess territory. (PS I am resolutely in favor of tucking in the sweater.)

Bag is nice but doesn’t really get me jumping up and down.

  • Anonymous

No outside pocket and no interior compartments other than a back wall zip pocket?   OUT!

    • Anonymous

I don’t mind the lack of interior compartments in a bag like this. The structured framework seems to keep things in place a little better than a hobo bag, for instance.

  • Anonymous

GORGEOUS. I am dying over the yellow.

  • LOVE the yellow one!!!

  • Anonymous

    Oh hell YEA.

  • Anonymous

The skirt is a little too grampa’s pants, a wee bit high, but overall, very cute.  I don’t care for her much either, but this one’s an in.

  • Anonymous

I love the outfit. But she’s way too young for slash red lipstick. And does she really have “13” tattooed on the back of her hand? Yikes. That’s ugly.

  • Anonymous

LURV the bag!  I’ll take the blue version.

  • Anonymous

It’s hard to have an unbiased opinion about someone when every detail about them screams “high school Mean Girl who likes to pretend she’s an innocent little miss”. Anyway, I think the bag’s fine in photograph (though I like the blue least of all of them) but in practice it seems to look like it’s never had it’s protective plastic slip-cover removed, which is not a look I’m particularly enthusiastic about.

  • YEA on the bag. But, on another note, isn’t she FREEZING? I live in California, but I imagine it’s significantly colder in NYC…

  • Anonymous

What’s on her hand? The age she seems to think she is? *edit* Oh, I see someone else asked the same question below, sorry

  • Anonymous

  • Anonymous

Eh. I like the shape and the seeming functionality of it, but I’m not crazy about any of the color combos. I guess that makes it a NAY since I like to be excited about my bags. As for Taylor…I’m in the T Lo camp about her. Although, after seeing her segment on 60 Minutes last week, she does seem to be a pretty smart/savvy business woman.

  • Amanda in Austin

Looks like a bag my grandmother would carry. I say NAY.

  • Anonymous

I’m not a fan of patent leather in any color other than black ( wish the bag were in regular leather), but otherwise she looks adorable.
When you are as slim as she is, with such a tiny waist, tucking in a sweater is not an issue – it’s cabled, but it’s thin, fitted, and not at all bulky. It would have looked really stupid over the skirt, like a 1970s cheerleader.

  • I like the blue bag, but the other colors not so much. Taylor looks cute, as usual, but I don’t like that garish red lipstick.

  • Anonymous

I like the blue color, but I don’t like bags that have shoulder straps and handles that can’t be hidden when you’re using the other.  They’ve always looked silly to me.  In the colors other than blue, it’s a very meh bag.  Nay.

    • Anonymous

Yes, I would remove or tuck in the shoulder strap (if possible) and use it as a handbag.

  • Rand Ortega

    Yay to the bag.
    Nay to the Taylor.
    Country Stepford.

  • Needed a nice thin tan belt

  • YEA in blue – nay for the others

  • Yea.  As in “Yay, I’d like to have one.  But of course, I’m a bit less twee than Ms. Swift.

  • Anonymous

Love it. Must. Have. That. Bag.

Given how striking this blue looks on her, I wish she’d try it on the red carpet, rather than those white and nearly white gowns she favors.

  • What the hell is she doing walking through the city without that purse tucked securely under her arm?! Sorry, I can’t get away from this my 1st thought-the bag has a handy short strap right there.

  • Jessica O’Connell

I like the bag, like the outfit, don’t get why she wrote 13 on the back of her hand… but whatever… not a big fan, but she’s not on my hate list either. Miley Cyrus on the other hand…

  • I only like the blue color, but I really like the detailing and such. So, yay.

  • luv ur defiance….but she sure looks sassy…textured skirt is so cute and the colour is so Taylor Swift

  • Anonymous

I have no idea why this boring fact still lingers in my brain but wasn’t she in town last year at Thanksgiving to share the holiday with Jake and his elderly sister. Supposedly it was the start of some big romance between Jake and Taylor  but alas the affair was short and sweet.

  • That skirt looks like a Modcloth skirt I’ve been eyeing: http://www.modcloth.com/shop/skirts/on-your-way-skirt. It looks nice on her, unfortunately I don’t think the coloring would work for me. 🙁

  • Mary McClelland

I wish she wouldn’t have tucked the sweater in! soooo jr. league. So 80’s doing 50’s. Other than that she looks adorable and I think she can pull this look off as she is A) 12 B) 6ft Tall C) Has a great figure.

And I like the bag. I wouldn’t carry it, but it’s cute nonetheless.

  • Anonymous

Why won’t anyone explain the 13? Is it like Fight Club? The first rule of Wearing 13 On Your Hand is that you don’t talk about Wearing 13 On Your Hand?

  • Cable knit tucked into high waisted skirt?  Hate.  Just because she’s meant to appeal to middle school children is no reason to dress like one. ETA: Hate the bag. $1800 has no business looking like plastic.

  • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

Neigh.  Looks like my granny’s bag, back in the sixties.  Otherwise, she looks cute.  Except, what is that 13 on her hand?

  • Cheri Lee

She always looks like she is trying too hard and it gets on my nerves. I don’t like the outfit at all especially the sweater tucked into the skirt.

  • Hating on that fugly bag, especially in the shiny blue plastic look.

  • Anonymous

Yea in theory. Shape & structure good. Can live with this version of the two-lengths of handle on the bag at the same time (I’m all for choosing one.)

But, sadly, nay in the colors & finishes shown. Irrationally, perhaps, I want all of my bags to be matte finish and 90-some percent of them one, uniform color.

Yup, dull as ditchwater, that’s me.

  • I want the skirt! Anyone have any idea who designed it??

  • Tamara Hogan

Like matter and anti-matter, the gorgeous bag and the butt-ugly “13” drawn on hand void each other out.

  • Anonymous

I like the Fendi bag, although I think it looks too shiny in the on-the-street pic. But I have to say, I owned that skirt in turquoise in 1969. At the time, I thought I was adorbs in it (age: 13) when I was really quite hideous. I have photographic evidence of the hideosity. But, you know, I was 5-something-small and she’s 6-foot, so I’m sure that makes a difference.

  • Anonymous

I think the bag is age appropriate, especially in a bright color.  For myself, the blue bag is fine and classic.  I don’t like the other bags with the 2 colors on the front.

  • Anonymous

I dislike the bag – although the color she has is the least unattractive.  I wonder what is with the 13 written the wrong way on her hand.  (I write on my hands all the time – hard to lose THAT note. – but it looks like someone else put it on her hand for some reason)

  • Anonymous

she looks like show white with that lipstick!!!! her legs must be absolutely freezing…

  • Yay! So cute.

  • Stefanos Mantyla

YEA on the bag, no question about it.

Problem with Taylor Swift is, she is one of the few decent pop musicians out there in the American music scene of today!

  • Anonymous

Yet another bag that can be crammed full of stuff and used to beat off a mugger. YEA for the bag

Taylor Swift looks like Taylor Swift…ya know

  • Anonymous

I love this look. Chic and perfect for her. She chose the right colour bag, the blue makes it younger to me. Not a Swift fan either so not disposed to going ga ga over her…but can’t deny that she looks superb.

  • Anonymous

Yea!!!  on the bag. Love it.
I almost didn’t recognize her wearing colors and all.  She looks cute.

  • Anonymous

How is she not freezing to death in that outfit?

  • Anonymous

YEA for the bag.  Why doesn’t Taylor ever look like the young 20 something she really is.  Now, I know this is NYC, so she elevated it a bit here.  She is very contrived though.  Would really like to see her looking a little more relaxed…like most 22 year old girls.

  • Anonymous

YEA to the blue. She, on the other hand, is the sort of twee that definitely makes my teeth ache.

  • Anonymous

Nay.  Way too conservative and old lady-ish for the average young woman…suits Taylor’s style though.  ;oP  It’s too shiny…looks like cheap vinyl.

The skirt looks too high waist-ed and the bunching is doing unfortunate things to her hips.  That bright red lipstick…ack…not for a day look at all.

  • I am old ladyish, so I love the bag.  It makes Taylor look preppy, along with the cable knit.  I think the whole look is smart, in a chic-nerdy way, and I’m generally indifferent to her.

    • Anonymous

I agree with your smart, chic-nerdy comment. Good description!

  • Michelle Cruz

I love your opinions about Taylor Swift. I am a Taylor fan, yet it is all true. It has made me even more aware of her fashion choices and I am now irritated by all her neutral sparkly dresses. I wish she wore more color, more often!!! Only on tour she wears bright, and dark colored dresses!!!

  • P M

Camel and mustard! Camel and mustard! Custard!!! (sorry, couldn’t resist)

  • Anonymous

Big, fat YAY on that bag, especially the blue!!!

  • Anonymous

Yea . . . and she looks like she’s channeling Snow White. Not that it’s a bad thing.

  • Anonymous

Very cute bag. Doesn’t make me dislike her any less.

  • YEA! The neutral and the yellow would be so happy in my closet, should anyone feel the need to find them a loving home…

  • Anonymous

Don’t give much of a hoot about her (though the New Yorker profile was interesting reading) – and I’m not sure her get-up, carefully styled or no, is worth featuring for discussion … but … I’d pretty much sell my soul for legs like hers.

  • Anonymous

She looks great, and while the strap on the bag is a bit odd, I still say YEA, especially the grey and yellow ones with their tri-tone action.

  • Lisa Farnham

I think she looks absolutely fantastic from head to toe.  LOVE the bag.

  • Anonymous

I hate her! Lol no – but man she irritates the hell out of me too.

  • Anonymous

Never been a Taylor fan, Swift that is, not Lautner :).  LOVE the blue patent Fendi bag tho!

  • Anonymous

Gimme the blue one! oh, damn, I see I’ll have to share 😉

Taylor, ehh, whatever, she’s kind of cute here, and I like the slightly off center primary colors…

  • Ebony Dawkins

Not in that blue color TS is wearing, but overall…YEA to the bag. It’s so nice to see a non-Hermes bag that’s not a Birkin-inspired design.

  • Anonymous

    Yea, that’s a great-looking bag.

  • “streetwalking”

Made clicking this post worth it.

  • Anonymous

Love it. Especially in blue. But Taylor apparently likes it, too. And I hate that.

  • She’s a country girl.  She’s never going to wear structured shoulders or spiked shoes.  She’s cool; I think.

The bag & shoes are grandma meets preppy = not good. But other than that she looks fab!

  • i completely feel the same way about tay tay. and I dig that bag. yay.

  • Oh hell YEA!

  • Yea! Love the blue one!

I like the blue bag, but not the other two. As for Taylor, I like her look better here than on the red carpet. She looks both sassy and classy which is way too rare with young female singers, at least the classy part.

  • Taylor looks simple, chic and cute!

The Fendi bag, on the other hand, is giving me EVERYTHING I NEED IN MY LIFE!!!!

    The end.

    She looks darling.

Gorgeous. The lip kills. I mean, I. Die.

I think she looks fabulous. But if that’s not a publicist’s heavily planned and orchestrated ‘random walkabout’ photo op, I’ll eat my head.

  • bethannstamps

love the blue but the others look a bit dowdy granny to me.

  • Yay, adorable. Love the whole look and shoes too! Give me that bag!!!

  • blue is super cute, two-tone ones are icky bad from grandma’s closet

I’ll take Taylor Swift twee over Zooey Deschanel twee any day! I agree with a previous poster–I like her for what she’s not, in many ways. It’s kinda refreshing to see a kid navigate all the crap Nashville and touring have thrown at her and still stay seemingly down-to-earth and relatively normal. “Taylor–the druggy and whorey years” have yet to appear. Not everyone needs to have an edge. Sorry. End of editorializing…

Like the outfit well enough. Not sure about a cable knit with a thin pleated skirt, but like the color combo. Purse is okay, but a little mature for her, as TLo pointed out.

i would love this catholic schoolgirl get-up on some else.  someone who doesn’t have piggy eyes.  love the blue bag and the yellow.  way too normal looking for me, though.  her glance says “here i am just walking down the street, totally unaware that everyone is looking at me.  check out my new fendi bag!”

  • She should have belted the skirt.

And don’t worry, boys, she makes my teeth itch, too. That is, when she isn’t causing me to fall asleep.
