In or Out: Felicity Jones in Proenza Schouler

Posted on November 07, 2011

We’ll keep this brief because we know you’re a busy person and you don’t have time to waste on silly starlets and their silly clothes. It’s like this: Lorenzo really likes this look and Tom really … doesn’t. The kittens will have to make the call.

Felicity Jones in Proenza SchoulerFelicity Jones attends The Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Next Generation Reception in Proenza Schouler.

Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 CollectionProenza Schouler Spring 2012 Collection/Model: Kate King

Felicity Jones in Proenza Schouler

Felicity Jones in Proenza Schouler

Lorenzo thinks it perfectly straddles that line between modern and the retro looks that suit Felicity so well. It’s prim in that Mid-Century, Peggy Olson kind of way, yet it has a 21st Century edge to it. Tom thinks her skirt looks like a DIY project utilizing electrical tape, like those homemade wallets that were all the rage for a while. He also maintains that the silhouette here only looks winsome and pretty on size zero models approaching 6 feet in height. On a less extreme body, the skirt looks too long and heavy and the blouse goes frumpy. We’re so at odds over the clothes that we don’t even care all that much about the hair, makeup, and accessories.

Vote Now!
IN! Sexy leather secretary!

OUT! My thighs are sweating just looking at her.

The kittens were feeling kind on Friday and voted both Amanda Seyfried’s lanai cushion and Daniel Craig’s too-tight suit IN.

What a cute duct tape dress! OUT.

    • Anonymous

Yep, my thoughts exactly…like she was competing for the scholarship by making her prom dress out of duct tape.

    • http://onebluetree.blogspot.com/ Sara L.

I actually said aloud, “Duct Tape Prom Dress!”  So Out.

    • http://profiles.google.com/anplica Anplica Fiore

      Ditto.

    • Anonymous

Now that would have been an interesting Project Runway challenge…. make an outfit out of muslin and duct tape… in 45 minutes!

      Very OUT.

      • http://twitter.com/hpenfield Hannah Penfield

Maybe next season? But for now, it’s OUT. Too bad, I love the top.

      • Rand Ortega

I thought of “make an outfit out of car parts” challenge.
It looks cheap (ala Alberta Ferretti– “Chip in a chip way”).

  • http://profiles.google.com/diana.ruskin Diana Ruskin

Loving it from the waist up. Hair and makeup are flawless, but the skirt looks like a Project Runway challenge gone crafty.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1043171034 Tadiana Walton Jones

Project Runway challenge indeed.  And the judges criticize it for excessive length and stiffness in the skirt and the horizontal striping that makes anyone other than a runway model (even a cute starlet) look dumpy.  OUT.

    • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

Well I’m hopping in here because “Discus” won’t let me post above.  Sheesh.  Anyhoo, I agree with Diana 100%.  From just the thumbnail, I thought she looked great.  Scroll, scroll, scroll … what the HELL???  Yeah, she’s OUT.

    • http://www.facebook.com/cruz.alejandra Alejandra Cruz

yes! i was so hopepful when i saw the cropped version on the tlo homepage.  then the skirt grabs your focus and won’t let go…

  • Anonymous

Out!  Electrical tape is SO over.

  • http://smalltownbigwardrobe.wordpress.com Catherine

Mmmyeah I’m with Tom. The skirt looks like it was made out of some very heavy-duty trash bags.

If it was wool or some other non-shiny material, I would love it. Alas, I just cannot. OUT.

    • Sobaika Mirza

Yeah, I though trash bags also. Like some Project Runway challenge.

    • Anonymous

Yes, wool would have been nice.  The drape would have been so much better and that might have made a big difference.

  • Anonymous

I don’t even think the model is quite pulling it off.  I love the idea and the silhouette, but the leather just does not work for me.  Out.

    • http://www.GiftedCollector.com Nancy Abrams

I agree. The leather is too shiny and I could do without the holster pockets, but I like the overall design.

  • Anonymous

Duct Tape skirt indeed.  Out.  Somethings are meant to be shown on the runway, for people to oooh and aaaah about their avante guardness, but not intended to be worn by actual people.

    • http://twitter.com/sebwfu Shannon Beamer

Totally agree.  They never intended for mere mortals to wear this and, quite frankly, I don’t even like it that much on the runway.  OUT.

  • Anonymous

Out, I’m afraid. It just about works on the model but not on poor Felicity

  • Anonymous

Cute Costume, what show is it from?

  • Anonymous

The top half is great, but the leather tree skirt is too stiff and sits too high on her waist.  Out.

  • Anonymous

    In.

    Sorry Tom.

I just plain don’t like it.  Nothing against her, or the way she is wearing it… I just don’t think it would look good on anyone.

  • http://wineandwhiskeygirl.blogspot.com Amanda Semrick

Looks like she got stuck in her tent while camping.

    Out.

I liked the top.  Then I scrolled down.  Sorry, Lo.  It’s an OUT.

  • Anonymous

    Go Tom. OUT.

  • http://profiles.google.com/laurenjeanstm Lauren St Martin

I love it! And I’m pretty sure she looks better in it than the model. IN!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Kimberly-Burke/100002384493067 Kimberly Burke

Love the top.  Loathe the skirt.  Hair and makeup is pretty.  I’m gonna give her an IN, but just barely.

  • http://oshunanat.livejournal.com/ Carrie

Actually like the top hair and make up, but that skirt is horrendous and not flattering. OUT.

  • Cautiously Pessimistic

OUT.  The silhouette is okay, though the skirt is too long on her.  The killer is the electrical tape look, though.  It just looks cheap.

  • Anonymous

I’m going to side with Tom here. If the skirt were made of a non-shiny material, it would have been in.

  • http://profiles.google.com/sara.e.munoz Sara Munoz

WTF is she wearing!!!!??? Not enough scrolling to call it a scrolldown fug. Let’s just call it a fug. But she looks really cute from the shoulders up.

    OUT.

  • Anonymous

Afraid not.  If she tries to sit we can settle the issue of the wearability of electrical tape once and for all.

  • Anonymous

Hmm…it does look great on the model tho.

  • http://www.facebook.com/charlotte.horseman Charlotte Horseman

OUT!  Hate it – on the celeb and the model.  It’s an unconventional materials challenge.  Also hate breast pockets.

    • Anonymous

Agree. I dislike most of this dress, but that dumb little pocket irked me the most.

    • Anonymous

Yup.  What’s more, it looks like something Josh would whip up in the unconventional materials challenge.  Yuck.  OUT.

      • Anonymous

“Looks like something Josh would whip up….”

YAL, you take that back!  ;>)

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1230057270 Allie Carter

I kind of like it. And I think I like the skirt most of all. On the other hand I wore boots I’d covered in red duct tape for years, so I may be appreciating the skirt’s electrical tape-ness.

  • Anonymous

    Out!

Like the Top.  Like the skirt!  Do not like them together and it looks better on the runway model.

  • Anonymous

sorry t, i’m team lo here ~ IN. it could be twee, prim, and/or secretarial, but the modern textiles keep it firmly in the territory of cool. and i like the choice if hair, makeup, and accessories bc they all add to the blade runner admin asst feel without competing. it’s working and so is she. :)

    • http://www.wordydoodles.com WordyDoodles

I’m in the Out camp but admire your argument for In. :)

    • Anonymous

      “blade runner admin asst”

I can’t quite buy your reasoning but this is an accurate call and a brilliant way to make your case.

  • Anonymous

Out. Something from a Project Runway unconventional materials challenge – and not a winner.

  • Anonymous

It’s a great look for the gal who has a whole pile of meat to butcher before 5 but still wants to feel pretty and feminine on top.

  • Anonymous

OUT. The skirt looks like an exoskeleton of some prehistoric bug.

  • http://twitter.com/susanpcollier Susan Collier

Out. Kinda hate everything about this.

  • Anonymous

Art school “only use materials from the hardware and/or craft store” assignment. Very unwearable, lightly likable conceptually.

  • Anonymous

The look makes sense on the model, it’s a high concept arty look that only makes sense on an extreme looking person.
Brought to the level of red carpet ordinariness it just looks bizarre and off.

  • Anonymous

Like everything from the waist up and I think her shoes are cute, but that skirt just doesn’t look like real clothes – so she flits into OUT territory.

  • aimee_parrott

OUT.  It looks like the hotly debated winning look in a PR unconventional materials challenge.  Either that or the hotly debated look that got the auf.

  • http://www.facebook.com/chloe.stabler Chloe Stabler

It feels like it almost works, but the skirt takes it to an OUT.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1314255041 Irina Ryabchuk

I’m with Tom, this looks Auf’d!

  • Anonymous

    Love it.  IN.

  • Anonymous

I’m of two minds about this look: But then this look is of two minds all on its’ own. It’s sort of like for the prissy girl who wants to dip her toe in the slutty pool but can’t quite commit. I like the collar on the sweater, but what is with the nipple eyepatch?

Then again, I’ve heard that a lot of librarians are into S&M these days.

From the tiny thumbnail on Facebook, I thought this dress was a dalek. OUT

  • https://profiles.google.com/104791269167429064986 Judy S

I don’t know who she is but I think she looks cute in this–not sexy secretary but funky and young.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=528009972 Jennifer Small

I’m with Tom, OUT.  The skirt is too heavy and graphically aggressive – I would have liked to see it more “secretary drag” with a black pencil skirt to highlight some of the unusual details on the blouse… and maybe a fun colored belt?  Keep the skirt simple and make it work with accessories…

  • Sarah Lynnae

Weak IN. The skirt is too long on her, so you can really see how stiff it is, and I don’t like the accidental shininess. Still, the hair and makeup are great and it’s a really cute look.

  • http://twitter.com/amandaruth2001 Amanda Welliver

In, but I wish the skirt were less stiff.

  • Anonymous

I can sign off on everything but the skirt, which just looks too heavy.

  • Anonymous

“Tom thinks her skirt looks like a DIY project utilizing electrical tape…” Tom got it right! My very first reaction was that it was the loser of a PR challenge at the hardware store.
    Truly hideous.
    OUT.

  • Anonymous

Yikes ! There’s another one. I thought this was Katy Perry or Zooey Deschanel. I like the look (except for the breast pocket). In.

  • MilaXX

Small IN for me. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it either. It’s really a “meh” look to me although I will concede it looks better on the taller model. She just doesn’t look bad enough to vote OUT.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_FLBKZZT4R4ION7VVJK2ARJK6L4 SM

    In. She looks kinda cute.

  • Michael Colvin

As St. Gunn would say, the top and the bottom are incongruous

  • http://profiles.google.com/claudiaberry Claudia Berry

I’m with Tom, skirt is hideous.  And people are STILL making those wallets, unfort!

  • http://twitter.com/SarahVotes Sarah Bailey

    Out. All of it.

  • Anonymous

OUT.  Love the hair and makeup though.

  • Anonymous

Not working for me. Okay in theory, but in reality it’s an Out. That black pocket and one epaulet on the shirt are making my eye twitch. Don’t like the skirt on her at all. Definitely looks like electrical tape. It seemed to drape better on the model than it does on Jones. And again with the dark patch pockets. I really dislike that detail.

  • Anonymous

Sorry Lorenzo, I’m with Tom on this one. It looks like a 1970s Home Ec class project. Out.

  • Judy_J

For some reason I can’t explain, I kind of like this except for the black pocket on the blouse.  The rest of it works for me.  I’m voting IN.

This is a PR unconventional materials challenge from the hardware store where the designer used duct tape and garbage bags for the skirt. Hiddy. OUT, OUT, OUT.

    what accessories?

  • http://www.facebook.com/yanneng Yan Neng

IN. I love the makeup and hair and I like the top. I can forgive the skirt; I still like the overall silhouette!

  • Anonymous

She’s got a small enough figure that she can pull off all those horizontal stripes, and the look stands out without being complete wackadoo. IN.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_B53PQYXSJR4YJBV3J6BWYSICRQ Jamie

    OUT!

  • Anonymous

I can see why people wouldn’t like it, but I do, it is fresh, different, but not bizarre or unflattering.

    In!

  • http://twitter.com/theorymeg Megan K.

This looks like it came out of an unconventional materials challenge on Project Runway: “I bought duct tape, washers, and some empty feed bags at the department store and this is what I made!”  I do like the way the stripes on the blouse “match” the stripes on the skirt, but this looks heavy and OUT all the same.

  • Anonymous

I don’t even like the top.  OUT.

  • Anonymous

Yep, this could be an enthusiastic IN but the fabric kills it.  The silhouette and the idea are on point but unfortunately the shiny leather combined with the stripes just looks wrong.  It could be a Christmas tree skirt at the Osbournes’ house.  OUT

  • Anonymous

    I’m with Tom – OUT.

  • Diana Martinez

I’m with Tom.  Lorenzo, put down the crack pipe, babe.  She looks awful!

DIY craft project is kinder than what I thought at first. I thought “awning from a trailer.” No, no, no. OUT.

  • Brenna McClellan

Above waist: Adorable and IN. Below waist: OUT!

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_OSYAJATXUH3QX7ZDDF52GXG4PU Janie R

She’s too short for this. Out.

  • Anonymous

    No thanks — Out!

  • Anonymous

Sign me up for Team Lo!  I love the whole look!

  • Anonymous

She’s wearing enough shiny plastic leather to clothe 8 strippers.  Sadly, I think the material would be put to better use in their hands.  A for effort, but she’s OUT.  The Amanda Peet raccoon eye look on her face isn’t helping.

  • CQAussie

I agree – this dress is not for mere mortals with normal bodies.  She looks dumpy on top and weirdly huge on the bottom and now that I read the electrical tape reference, I can’t NOT see it.  Plus the boobie leather pocket really doesn’t help.  OUT.

  • Anonymous

Out. Sorry, dear Lorenzo, I can’t find anything redeeming about this dress.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1248212910 Jessie Melcher Brown

I was trhinking plastic trash bags and a PR unconventional materials challenge.
Could have been so cute in a different fabric.
    OUT

    • Anonymous

I’m with you–that was my first thought also when I scrolled down to the skirt. That or Josh’s neoprene.

  • Sara__B

Not sexy, but IN anyway. She’s got the looks, attitude, and posture to pull off crazy stuff like this. It’s not my style, but someone has to keep these designers in business and in the public eye.

  • Anonymous

It’s a good thing you guys don’t care about the accessories, ’cause she doesn’t have any!  I am voting OUT; I like the general idea, but everything is just too shiny!!

  • Anonymous

That is a terrible outfit – Tom is right on the money here.  Her hair has some flyaways, but I think she did ok in the makeup department.  Doesn’t matter, though.  OUT for wearing an ugly ugly outfit.

  • Anonymous

Oh honey, no.  That looks like the worst possible use for electrical tape.  The horizontal stripes. The cheapness. That collar.

Oddly this reminds me of that duct tape challenge on Ru Paul, and not in a good way.  OUT, way out.

Her hair and makeup look pretty and this this outfit swallows her up.  I can’t get passed it to notice her which is a shame because she looks lovely otherwise.

  • Anonymous

OUT  This resembles output from a PR unconventional materials challenge.

  • Anonymous

Ouch! OUT.  I was first thinking garbage bags, but I see the tape reference.

    Rough Monday morning awakening guys.

  • Anonymous

Tom’s right, that skirt’s swallowing her whole. Out.

  • Anonymous

The skirt is eating her alive.  OUT.

  • Jessica O’Connell

I’m with Tom… sorry Lorenzo! OUT.

  • http://twitter.com/younglibrarian Katie Dunneback

OUT. My first thought, even before seeing Tom’s thoughts were: “DUCT TAPE SKIRT!” Also, that blouse doesn’t seem to fit her correctly.

  • Anonymous

Sorry Lo, while the dress is interesting from a design perspective, as a finished wearable dress, NO, a thousand times no. It is stiff in all the wrong places, it also looks dowdy and cheap. This dress would maybe get a safe in a PR non-conventional materials challenge. OUT!

    • Anonymous

I think it would lose the challenge — just for sheer ugliness.

  • Anonymous

I like it, actually, but I would like it better if the silhouette on the skirt were less A-line–like how it is on the model. They should have altered it. I do think they could have still had an impact using the same blouse, which I unequivocally love, with a different skirt. So I’m going with OUT, I guess.

  • Mariah J

Love the top, hate the skirt…this is a tough one but I’m going to have to say OUT

  • http://profiles.google.com/misslauraschultz Laura Schultz

Also, I think the shoes are the wrong choice. You need a more modern choice like the one the model is wearing.

  • http://deeplyproblematic.blogspot.com/ RMJ12345

Barely out. She does look good, and she looks happy to be wearing… this. But it’s prim and ugly. And fussy. And weirdly oily looking. The more I look at it, the more I hate it, basically.

  • http://www.facebook.com/seelebrennt Christina Diaz

OUT.  i’m with tom.  no no no.

  • vmcdanie

Out-but only if I can declare Proenza Schouler out instead of …uhm, who the hell is this girl? At any rate, skirt is clearly not designed for anyone to wear off of the runway and it looks more weird than edgy or innovative. I do like the top half ok.

  • paula.pertile

I was going to say a PR garbage bag challenge, but the electrical tape thing is more spot on.
And horizontal stripes!Guess you know which side I’m on.

  • Anonymous

OUT. Fine from the waist up, but the skirt reminds me of that quicky Halloween costume that you can make with a trash bag and yellow duct tape and voila, you got yourself a bumblebee.

  • Anonymous

I’m with Tom.  But she gets credit for trying to wear something interesting.

  • Anonymous

Well, we can see who is the Good Cop and who is the Bad Cop at the T Lo household, can’t we? I agree with you both. Geez, this one is hard to judge because I’ll look at it and hate something, then look at it again and love something. If the skirt wasn’t so vinyl-looking and shiny the outfit would be IN. As it is, I can’t decide and will waste the day wondering “is it that bad? But is it that good?” As if I don’t have enough things to waste time on!

You can’t have all of this going on and call it attractive.  Tom is right about this enesmble.

  • Anonymous

Tom is right.  The first thing I thought when I saw this was that only model-size women could make it look even passably decent.  It makes anyone else look dumpy.  The top paired with a simple, slim skirt would have been far better.

  • Anonymous

I agree with Tom 100%. OUT The skirt is stiff, ugly and makes her look fat. And is too long too. And I hate the shirt.

  • Anonymous

Plastic fantastic! I love it! IN!

I was going to try and be generous by saying I liked it from the waist up, then I noticed that her breast tumor was shiny. I just can’t. If that skirt were in a matte fabric I would wear it to death, and I am not a size zero (but I can hit six feet in moderate heels). That blouse looks like a disastrous Jr. High Home Ec project.

If the skirt had been shortened to knee-length on her, I could MAYBE get behind it. I do like it from the waist up.

  • Anonymous

    IN

I agree that the skirt has size and shape issues…could be shorter and less of a flare.  She looks really pretty…makeup and hair are edgy, and complement the the outfit.  Shoes are a snore.

Gotta go with Tom on this one.

  • LocMama

I don’t want to choose between Daddy & Daddy, but if I must I have to go with Tom.  OUT!  You still get visitation Lo.

  • http://profiles.google.com/sleepneeded Greg Polansky

    IN. It’s chic.

  • Anonymous

The poor tucking-in job is distracting me from being able to see anything else in/on/around/about the outfit. Out.

    • Anonymous

Oh, wait. Now I see it. And it’s ugly. Still out.

  • http://stitchingincircles.etsy.com Tina

    out. no Q.

  • Anonymous

I think it’s sort of cute, but women’s shirts should never ever have a tiny boob pocket.  That and the stiffness of the skirt dip into OUT territory for me.

  • Anonymous

The skirt is kind of a mess, but everything else is so very fab imma have to say IN.

  • Anonymous

    Sweet jesus, OUT!
As almost always, I am in Tom’s camp.

The look is so overwhelmingly bottom-heavy, and it makes her tiny little self look clunky & awkward.

And it is neither pretty nor elegant and I just can’t *quite* squint hard enough to find chic.

    OUT!

  • Anonymous

I hate the boob pocket. On the boobless model the pocket works but on any one with b or up it is embarrassing. However the look is chic and not your run of the mill red carpet wear.

I think I am in the minority here but I am giving it an in. Without the boob pocket it would have been an IN!

    • Anonymous

I agree about the boob pocket.

Um…did this skirt come from one of those challenges on PR this season?  The one where you go to an electrical shop and make a runway design out of electrical tape and insulation?  Looks dorky.  OUT.

  • Anonymous

trash bag with yellow duct tape. Out.

  • Mary Saucier

I think it would have worked better on FJ if the skirt were shorter. It seems all dis-proportionate.

Tom’s right, the skirt looks like it was made out of black duct tape.  Out.

That skirt looks like a cut-up plastic rain coat. OUT OUT OUT!

I can see where they were going with this, but…good in theory, not so much in execution.

  • http://www.facebook.com/emmajliberman Emma Liberman

IN. She looks cute and is taking a risk. Any other sort of material and she would look like she was in a costume.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_PCARAOJSL553GBBPQSLRYD5REE L.

Oy, OUT.  Maybe Lorenzo likes this, because if the skirt were pants, he would wear it.  This might work are geeky-guy in leather chic, but I don’t like it on her.

  • Anonymous

OUT. The top is really cute but the bottom is disproportionately heavy.

My first thought when I opened the picture was “Her skirt is eating her.” That’s never happy.

Totally with Tom on this one!

  • Anonymous

Out.  Everything in that outfit is trying too hard except the preppy-looking fabric of the top.  Maybe if she had gone all Harajuku with it (except then we’d have to ding her for being all Harajuku, so … yeah).

  • Anonymous

OUT.  Shower curtain skirt paired with golf shirt top.

  • Anonymous

I thought I was seeing an alternate reality version of PR.
*Designers, here is a roll of electrical tape, some Swarovski jewels, and your dad’s old polo shirt. Make it work!*

    …btw, that’s an o.u.t.

  • Anonymous

I like the whole look in theory, but the skirt does look like duct tape. I actually think the outfit looks better on her than the model. Her face looks great. I think she’s OUT though.

  • http://www.facebook.com/sorana.tarmu Sorana Tarmu

I completely agree with Tom, although hair and make up are great and don’t clash with the outfit. But she looks frumpy and yes, like she’s wearing a duct tape skirt. OUT.

  • Rachelle Neame

I see the criticisms on the skirt, but sometimes with these in or out posts, I just see the girl and can’t stop thinking “IN IN IN IN IN”.

So she’s in. Come on- I know the details are bleh, but damn if she isn’t working it and looking just so goshdarned pretty despite a duct tape skirt.

  • Anonymous

    I’m with Tom.  O U T

  • Samantha Irene

Hum… I’m more on the IN side. It’s different sure, & probably looks best in natural light. Also, I don’t love the fact that the epaulette is only on one side -and there is a giant black pocket on just one side – but I’m still erring toward IN.

  • Anonymous

it’s a weird dress, but it’s different and non-offensive and she’s wearing it well.  so IN (more due to her ability to pull this weird shit off)

  • amanda crow

This is what the Fug Girls would call a “scrolldown fug”. OUT

Out – have to go with Tom on this one.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000280542518 Abigail Chang

I think it’s probably the flash from the cameras making it look like tape. I like it – it has character. In.

  • Anonymous

OUT. I like the top, but the alterations she made to the skirt ruin it. Without the slit, it looks very stiff and unweildy.

  • Anonymous

i like the top. not so much the skirt. out.

  • http://twitter.com/Kerry_McC Kerry McCombs

Ew no. Love Felicity. Don’t love this look.

  • http://profiles.google.com/trashilove { edi } ilovetrash

looks like it’s made out of electrical tape but looks nice. other than the pocket, which annoys & which looks like it could have been made by oliver, say, for the sheepdog challenge.

i also think it looks better on her than on the model.

  • Astrid Gielen

OUT. Hate that plastic picnic tablecloth skirt.

  • oohsparkley!

Out.  Out of proportion on her.  They should have scaled the skirt down.  Even so, not worth altering, it isn’t cute enough to bother.

  • Anonymous

It looks like a PR challenge loser. Love the concept hate the execution. Stiff and icky. I do however covet the shoes. Please tell me they are in the less than a million dollar range. Thanks!

I love it.  She looks current but she not without faults.  First, I’d swap her shoes for a pair with a more suitable heel.  Second, I would get rid of the bangs and the kohl rimmed eyes.  The japanese amime look is getting old.

I lied: one comment: every time TLo posts about Felicity Jones, I inexplicably expect a picture of Rashida Jones, whom I adore, and then I am disappointed. Nothing wrong with Felicity. I’m sure she’s lovely. But I want to have ice cream sundaes and talk 1940s pratfall comedies with RJ.

  • Anonymous

Wish it were a bit more tailored and hemmed for her body, but a definite IN for the cute and cheeky factor.

  • Noelle Haland

Way out, though I admire her use of duct tape!

  • Anonymous

I agree with Tom about the electrical tape but I don’t think the model makes it look like fashion either.

Still, I think it’s HIL-A-RIOUS. As soon as I saw it I started laughing – and that’s better than cringing, right?

    IN.

  • akprincess72

    Yeah…. no.

I do see how you’re both right. In fact I’d vote for In if she’d owned the look a bit more, like the model does. But here she looks like she’s unsure and looking for approval. So Out.

Electrical tape was exactly my first thought for the skirt too!  But I like the top, and the styling.  I’d say In from the (too high) waistline up, Out from the (too high) waistline down.

  • http://pissiechrissie.tumblr.com/ Chrissie

I love the blouse on her. Unsure on the skirt, but it has its certain charm. IN: I could see her getting compliments for her outfit at a party.

  • Anonymous

OUT: I actually could have tolerated the pseudo-leather skirt, but the leather-trimmed white shirt/sweater (shweater?) is HORRENDOUS. I would have paired it with a simple, modern t-shirt-cut top.
