    WERQ is right!

  • Addicted2Glamour

Now THIS is a WERQ. Flawless, full stop. The gown is breathtaking. And I  *Love Love Love*  those earrings.

    • Anonymous

Can you PLEASE tell me what WERQ stands for?  I’ve google it but nothing come up!  Please it’s killing me!!!

      • http://www.tomandorenzo.com Tom and Lorenzo

It doesn’t stand for anything. It’s internet gay slang meaning she’s “working” that dress.

        • Addicted2Glamour

And if I remember correctly, one of the minions came up with “When Everything’s Right Quotient”, when an entry of Sharon Stone was discussed. Or have I had too many glasses of pinot grigio with lunch?

    • drdarke

Wow – probably a good thing her husband directed the movie she’s attending the premiere of, otherwise they’d have never made it out of the house!

You know Paul W.S. Anderson is leaning against the barricades telling the slavering fanboys, “You think I care my movies are trash? I go home with her – every night!”

  • Anonymous

Holy shit. Can I switch teams mid-game?

  • http://stitchingincircles.etsy.com Tina

I adore her nod to the ’20s with those deco-fabulous earrings and the gentle finger waves. Nicely done lady! Those rings are banging’, too :)

  • Anonymous

Wow. Just Wow. I think she just rewrote the definition of WERQ.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=658784393 Meghan Kovelsky

    DAYUM!!  GO girl!

  • sportzgrl33

    This is glamorous!

  • http://twitter.com/younglibrarian Katie Dunneback

I love her so much. She’s one I would absolutely switch teams for. Also, absolutely adore the Art Deco-ish styling.

  • Sara__B

Although I’m not a fan of Mila’s super shiny red carpet makeup (no matter how au courant it may be), and her posing is a bit awkward, everything else is nearly perfect. That gown looks amazing on her. Glamorous, elegant, sexy, stunning.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=167100010 Meghan Young

That last picture is the most stunning. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Milla sincerely smile before. BEAUTIFUL. She should do it more often. And this look? WERQ indeed.

  • Anonymous

I love all the jewelry in that collection.  She looks stunning.  That dress is great.  And on the model, only so-so.  Perfect example of “Girl, this is your dress!”  Also an example of a good smoky eye.

  • https://me.yahoo.com/a/dLUE.9h6zdoHMLprP6AQrSQpKt0CZys-#e58b4 tom

Mercy!  Where are those smelling salts or preferably that bottle of Stoli?  Glamour personified.

  • Anonymous

    WERK’D!

  • Anonymous

    I love her!

  • Anonymous

AND she looks like she’s having a good time on top of it. Who wouldn’t? Absolutely perfect.

  • Judy_J

    Gorgeous.  And then some!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1094686382 Elizabeth Monroe Baker

Can we send include this in the Red Carpet Cliff Notes?

  • http://profiles.google.com/misslauraschultz Laura Schultz

Not really fond of the hair, but otherwise, GASP-WORTHY. That dress is killer, and she really knows how to pose to make it WERQ

  • Anonymous

She has never looked better … and I loved the Fifth Element. ;-)

    • Barbara Woodruff

Well, she is the perfect divine being, after all. Lilou Dallas Multipass!

      • Anonymous

Barbara, I have just awarded you the “Play of the Day.” You are that awesome!

“MooltiPass” … I can hear her now … LOL

  • MilaXX

Very old  Hollywood glamor. She looks great!

  • Anonymous

Wow. She looks amazing. So glamorous.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QCJEZMOV4VYMXC5WJALLZNYEB4 Mari Rose

    I *need* those earrings.

    • Anonymous

It’s amazing how many of us want the earrings!

  • Anonymous

Gads, she’s gorgeous!  You WERQ that old Hollywood glamor, girl!  I always knew you had it in you!

  • Vaniljekjeks

    Perfection!

  • Anonymous

She’s fabulous. The only thing I could wish, and is this ever a minor nit, is that she hadn’t worn the entire Jacob & Co collection. It just comes across as a little too much marketing. But like I say, minor nit. She still can work the shit out of the camera. You go, former model girl, you!

  • Jessica Goldstein

Yup, perfect. I especially covet the earrings.

  • Anonymous

    Wow

    So very glamorous

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QM76OPRB5LLCTQRS4R6ULXS7BQ Jgar

    How to WERQ:

    Step 1: Be Milla Jovovich….
Step 2: Put on *that* dress…

    That’s all, really.

  • Anonymous

Yay Mila! I knew you had it in you. WERQ indeed.

  • Anonymous

Agree with a WERQ for this, even with platform peeptoe shoes.  She wears it with the right ‘tude, and I love the accessorizing, hair and makeup with this dress!!

  • Nora Mulllin

Fabulous, full stop! I want every piece of jewelry she has on, though for real life I’d want the earrings to be just a teeny bit smaller.

  • Anonymous

Divine. And THAT is the way to do a thigh split- so glamorous and sexy because we’re not at risk of being flashed.

  • Anonymous

One of the WERQiest WERQs ever.

  • Anonymous

    FAB

  • http://beautyforrealgirls.blogspot.com/ accidental housewife

    Hot damn!

  • Anonymous

That’s a 10. Hair, makeup, accessories, dress, fit, shoes. Love the red detail on the clutch. One teeny complaint: not a fan of racoon eyeliner, although I suppose in this case it werqs.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_3AJ237ND3GAHDQJZ4TLCO4WLRA Emily

Beautiful.  Love those earrings.  Love everything actually.

  • Anonymous

I was just thinking about her the other day!  I saw a guy who looked like the fellow who played her boyfriend in Dazed and Confused…Pickford.  She ran off and got married to him in Vegas, but her mother had the marriage annulled because she was just 16.  I don’t think that the fellow who played Pickford did much after that, but why would he have to?  He was Milla Freaking Jovovich’s first husband.

  • Joyce VG

The lipstick is too pink. Oh who am I kidding.  She’s perfect.  Love her.

  • Anonymous

    I find it extremely unflattering.

If you cover her face/head you have a buff man in a gown.

And I doubt that was her intention

eta I posted first. Then went and read the comments Not ONE negative comment before mine? Does no one else see what I see? wow

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_EDI2DLE7DE3YPW2ONIHBWOVHMA ecallaw

I’ll admit that I’m not a big fan of the dress, but a buff MAN? Are you KIDDING me? What do you expect an actual woman to look like?  She looks healthy and in shape. Her face, hair and body look flawless.  If she had on a different dress (I’m picturing electric blue and fitted), it would be a bow down moment for me. Buff man, pffft.

      • Anonymous

NO   I am NOT KIDDING YOU.  Cover her face.  Look at that BROAD chest and very broad shoulders pecs, and arm definition.

Body Flawless?   WTF.   The hell to pfft.

This is the only part I agree with ” If she had on a different dress”…  That was largely my point – the dress while beautiful is not flattering.   I am not saying her body is bad by any means it is the combinations of the dress with her body type.  Just like – oh say Christina Hendricks.  There could be a fab dress that works on Mila and but on Christina is would look ridiculously bad.  This dress while great does not flatter Mila’s upper body (as well as many others would).

  • Anonymous

    Yes! Gorgeous – LOVE!

    WERQ of Art!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Catherine-Rhodes/602850414 Catherine Rhodes

Nice to see a Hollywood star who put in some effort.

  • Anonymous

Holy shit, those earrings are gorgeous!

  • Anonymous

What a relief to see someone on the red carpet who is actually wearing jewelry!  That no-accessories thing is so tired.

  • Anonymous

Amaze-balls!!  Although, I have to confess I liked the dress even more on the model.   The silver sequined detail seems to have a little better sweep across the bodice.  Teeny, tiny, minute quibble and not even really a quibble, Milla looks perfect.

  • Anonymous

You WERQ that look, girl!  Geez, I remember when she was just starting out as a model in ‘Seventeen.’

My hubby adores her, and I have NO problem with that.  She’s gorgeous, graceful, and even seems like a cool chick.  To paraphrase…men want to be with her, and women want to be her.

This look is as close to perfect as it gets.  And I would cut a bitch for those earrings. :)

  • Lisa

Do you know how totally refreshing this is?  To see someone who didn’t do a single thing wrong?  Nothing like, “Other than the ring, she looks fabulous”, or “Aside from that clutch, she looks great.”  None of that.  *Every.Single.Thing.WERQs*!!

  • Anonymous

    now THAT is WERQ

  • http://twitter.com/LF_of_the_775 Laura F.

Almost perfect, except the makeup.  Major eyes or major lips, but not both. But I acknowledge that I’m nitpicking.

    • Anonymous

I honestly was just going to say the same thing.  Not nitpicking.  Her eyes look great so softer lip would be my preference.
      :)

      Otherwise, she looks awesome.

  • Anonymous

To DIE.  She looks great.  And to boot, she looks super healthy, slim and trim but in a fit way, not all Hollywood-I-don’t-eat way.

  • http://profiles.google.com/sara.e.munoz Sara Munoz

Milla’s finally in an outfit worthy of her beauty. WERQ it!

  • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

    Chiming in with my ‘wow!’

  • http://profiles.google.com/thisiscelia Celia

She’s nailing it! Especially love that shade of lipstick. Not your typical red-carpet red lip, and not the coral shades of summer either.

  • Anonymous

She looks amazing..I have had a girl crush on her for a long time and wish some of her fashion would rub off on me.

  • CQAussie

So much bling!  Yeah, she’s rocking it out GLAM style.

  • http://twitter.com/A_SmallFry AC

    LOVE.

  • Anonymous

Talk about the right dress on the right girl. Fantastic. Love the accessories. Not so thrilled with the make-up. 9.5. You WERQ it girl!

  • http://rockiinboxxe.blogspot.com/ KUR COL DE DAAB E NUBA

I hate it. It does nothing for her chest but make it look big and empty.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1052062518 Megan Moore

    DAYUM

  • Anonymous

    Sigh.

  • Rand Ortega

Dayum! Serve that bit of delicious w/ a spoon!

  • Anonymous

She is my younger, thinner, hotter and more symmetrical doppleganger.  Seriously, I look like a version of her where the genetics didn’t work out quite so well.  So obviously my husband worships her.  Despite that, I can’t help but love her too.  She is just so unabashedly real that I find her refreshing in a world full of PR soundbites, manufactured drama and standard starlet clothing.

  • http://twitter.com/Juliaismagic Julia

Not only beautiful, but hypnotically beautiful. I can’t stop looking at how amazingly she is WERQing it.

  • http://profiles.google.com/mmara00 M M

Excellent hair and makeup to boot.

  • http://twitter.com/BeantownMrs Praggya R. Barretto

Gorgeous! I love that she’s *wearing jewelry*! For some reason no one seems to do that on the red carpet anymore.

  • Anonymous

I think she looks great, but isn’t her makeup a bit much?  In the wide shots the thick smoky-eye on the lower lid looks a bit like she has late-night raccoon eyes, and that combined with the red lipstick starts looking a little hooker to me.

  • Anonymous

Looks very good. The nits I choose to pick: I’d have sewed up maybe 2″ of slit. She’s riding the line between glamor and cut-too-high for a lady. & this is very much a lady’s gown & look.  Also, I’d have toned down the lip just a tad.

& in the “why, yes, I DO live under a rock” department, when did the color smudged all around the eye come back for grownups?  I like it, it was the glamor look of my youth, but I haven’t seen it around here, yet, except on those who never gave it up.

  • Anonymous

    Gorgeous!

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Holy effing stuff it in my socks and take it away SHIT!  She looks better than she ever has, No lie!

  • Anonymous

It’s so refreshing to see hair done beautifully. She’s never looked better. Just perfect!

  • Anne Slovin

Is she playing Milady in the movie?  Because not only is she WERQing it, it’s also exactly what a modern-day Milady would wear.  Well done!

  • http://twitter.com/jennsaysmeow Fifi LaRoux

    Wow! Breathtaking!

  • Writing Center Center

DAYYUUM!!! She is WERQIN that!! love her poses and everything!!! GLAM.

  • http://twitter.com/aStudiobytheSea Jody Lee

Very well done!  Take note, she’s incredibly confident in her looks and posing, but keeping her chin down keeps her from looking arrogant and creates a sense of intimacy with the viewer.  Worked for Lauren Bacall.

I believe she’s in the movie as Miladi de Winter. It looks like The Three Musketeers in an alternate steampunk universe.

  • Anonymous

    WOW – ’nuff said.

Beyond fabulous.  Too bad she’s wearing it to sell a crappy film!
