Terry must have felt he needed to tone things down for the New York Times. No upskirt shots here. But man, those are some KILLA coats, are they not? Love that Céline.

LOVE all the the clothes in these shots. Dunst looks amazing here. In fact, this might be the best I’ve ever seen her look.

  • Kiltdntiltd

WOW!!  Kirsten looks awesome in just about everything. Granted she’s not a great model, but she’s working some of that stuff like mad. And I love the energy and glee she is projecting.  Its so rare now to see a shoot with someone actually SMILING.

Wow–she looks great here! I love coats. My favorite picture is the one with the bowl of Fruit Loops–so whimsical. Thanks for the punch of color this morning–I really needed it.

  • Ass Kicking Adviser

Whole lotta’ pretty going on there. She actually looks like she is having fun. Except when she is leaning over on one knee. Odd shot. Anyhoo, I would like to order coats 1, 5, and 7 please. Overnight delivery – snap, snap!  Mama’s chilly!

  • Lauren Dorsee Dillon

Wow, I know it’s been said many times before; but I could pay my mortgage several times over with the proceeds from these clothes. That said, if anyone would like to gift me with the Marc Jacobs, Carven, and Louis Vuitton coats, I’d be forever grateful. And warm.

  • MilaXX

The Celine is my fav as well, but Kiki looks really great in all of these. I don’t know what happened; whether it was the last stint in rehab, new therapist, or new stylist. Whatever the case she has improved her look and style 100%. She looks looks really healthy and happy.

  • Charlotte Horseman

She does look great…and happy.   The YSL for me… in orange.  Yes, that’s right… an orange coat.  Thank you Ms. Kimberly.  (At least – it looks orange on my screen.)

  • Stefanos Mantyla

Hate the photography (as per usual with Terry Richardson), but those are some fantastic coats!

  • Sobaika Mirza

WOW. She’s looking fresh and styled. He refrained from creepy kiddie-porn shots. Easily my favorite shoot from either of them.

  • Anonymous

Being a Kirsten fan AND an outerwear nut, I love this.  She looks fantastic and those are some great coats.  However, I will never understand the appeal of Terry Richardson.  As great as Kirsten looks and as pretty as the coats are he seems to have ben working hard to make washed out, bland photos.   Some of which appear to be photoshopped and pasted terribly, look at some the shadows and outlines.  Ugh to Terry, yum to Kirsten.

Apparently I’m going to jump in boiling water by not hating on TR, but isn’t the hallmark of a great photographer that they are able to show a side of their subjects that isn’t usually seen? When was the last time we’ve seen KD looking as beautiful and relaxed?
For all his perceived or real creep factor he gets his models to goof off, do unexpected poses and they seem to enjoy themselves. In this context, his photographic style works because the viewer is brought into the moment. The stylised version of a snapshot.
Though I am myself not a big fan of his aesthetic, they are the artistic constraints he set for himself and within them he is working well.

  • Joseph Davidson

Love this spread and Kiki looks so great and happy.  But that Celine coat is not cute.  It looks like a leather racecar flag.

  • Anonymous

    Céline is to die.

  • Dana WhatTheFrock

    Cute shoot. Shiny shiny hair.

  • Jean Marie Downing

I want that Louis Vuitton jacket.

  • Sara L.

And now I need to go to the store and get some Fruit Loops.

    • Anonymous

      Hilarious comment. LOL.

    • Anonymous

they did look delicious, didn’t they?

    • Anonymous

Be careful you don’t spill your multi-colored milk on your Chanel jacket!!

  • Jessica TallGirl Freeman

    Ah Kiki, too cute.

  • Anonymous

I truly dislike Terry Richardson, as a person (the skeevy jackass) and as a photographer, but these aren’t too bad. Some of the brightly smiling shots looks a bit pained and fake to me, but the Marc Jacobs and Chanel jacket shots are really great. Kristen looks simultaneously cute and beautiful.

  • Claudia Berry

    Aw Kiki looks great!

  • Cheri Lee

Oh my god I love that Celine coat!

  • Anonymous

I’m finding myself wishing I could afford almost 6 grand for a coat.
She’s a pretty girl; she looks great here.

  • Anonymous

I’ll take the Calvin Klein coat, the Marni sunglasses and the Fruit Loops.

  • Aaron Blair

Yes, the coats are awesome.  Yes, Kirstin looks beautiful.  But imagine how much better this spread would look if it hadn’t been photographed by Terry Richardson.  I understand that, as a photographer, it helps to have a distinctive style in order to differentiate yourself from other photographers, and photographs by Terry Richardson are pretty easy to spot, so obviously he’s succeeded.  It’s just, you’d think, when developing a signature style, there would be options other than “deliberately crappy”.   Aside from the fact that the end product is just, to borrow a Nina phrase from way back, not aesthetically pleasing, it comes off as silly pretense.  Like he thinks not putting any kind of effort into it is some kind of artistic statement.  Like he thinks he’s too much of an artist to bother with things such as actually making his photography visually appealing.  Thousands and thousands of dollars of beautiful clothing on a genetically superior famous person and his art direction is “stand in front of this white wall while I take pictures of you with a really bright flash.”  Lame.

A host of AMENs to your comment, Aaron. Really well said too.

    • Anonymous

You must not understand. He is too much of a talent to have to TRY!!! Please!!! We peons just don’t get it. (/snark)

  • Anonymous

I find it hard to separate my love for the coats from my utter disdain for Terry Richardson and his hack work.

    • Anonymous

Yes, agree.  Just hearing his name makes me uneasy. I hate that he gets work at all.

And having said all that… The Celine. Lusting.

  • Ruth Preston

Kiki looks wonderful! And lordy, the clothes are gorge. But those are some seriously overstyled Froot Loops.

  • Anonymous

That Calvin Klein coat/Wolford dress should be on my back right now.

However, for me any photo of Terry Richardson’s carries an automatic aura of sleaze. And that goes even for these of pretty Kirsten and the even prettier coats.

    • Anonymous

Hee!  And I was also thinking, “Like there’s any way she’d allow actual carbs to pass her lips!”

That Celine coat is to DIE for!

  • Anonymous

Generally, I hate the lighting and stark white background, but I just love the Calvin Klein and Celine coats, especially the Celine.  Walking to work this morning I was thinking to myself, as one does, you know, “a leather coat with well-placed color blocks would suit my mood right now.”

  • Democracy Diva

A Terry Richardson photo shoot that DIDN’T require a woman to spread her legs or bend over? I’m shocked!

  • Karen Walsh

The Céline?  As RZ would say, I DIE!

  • Sammi M

Yeah, this whole shoot is all-around FABULOUS. Kiki looks incredible.

  • ecallaw

Wow, the first and last coats are amazing.  Kirsten really looks good here, too, even though it was Terry Richardson photographing her.

  • Delysia LaFosse

Great clothes, cute girl… still don’t understand what about Terry Richardson’s washed-out style makes him so popular, though.

  • Anonymous

I am imagining Kirsten Dunst tellling her people: “OK, I’ll work with him but there’s no way I’m so much as taking a coat off in his studio!”

  • Sara__B

Terry Richardson? Sleazy Terry Richardson? Kristen has brought out the best in him. Love the coats and the styling, the glossy hair, and most of all, the sparkling smiles.

  • Megan Sullivan

    I don’t think she’s ever looked better.

  • Anonymous

Can’t believe these aren’t more porn-y, given the photographer.  I’m really not a Kirsten Dunst fan, but I will say she looks pretty cute here.

  • accidental housewife

Her pose in the next to last shot is terrible, but I love all the coats. The short jacket in the second photo is beautiful, the red leather is to die, and the Celine is to die, come back to life, and die again. And I don’t think she’s ever looked better. She really is adorably cute. The Fruit Loops picture is cracking me up.

My only complaint – is she really wearing plastic shoes in the second shot?

  • Emily

    Love.  She looks amazing.

  • Jessica Ballinger

It’s a shame he didn’t pull out this sensibility for the Glee spread- I would have felt much better about this kind of shoot for teenage idols.

    GREAT coats.

  • Anonymous

So chic, Richardson notwithstanding. YSL 4eva!  I don’t no what it is about Dunst, but I have always found her very compelling as an actress.  I actually felt bad for her when I read about her troubles, and was glad she didn’t go the route of La Lohan.

  • Julian Betkowski

These are also the least Terry Richardson-y Terry Richardson shots I’ve ever seen. I’m not much of a fan of Dunst, but that smile of here really transforms these photos from Richardson’s usually skeevy aesthetic into something really charming. Also, great coats.

  • Gaby Ripoll

Everyone’s eyes always look so dead in Terry Richardson’s photos. Meh.

  • Anonymous

I wouldn’t have known that this was Richardson if you hadn’t told us.

  • Anonymous

cute, but I hatehatehate Terry Richardson. Sure, it’s not vulgar and tacky, but she’s still washed out and flat looking.

  • Toto Maya

    TR’s photography is God-awful, but she’s cute.

  • Anonymous

Yeah not a fan of Terry Richardson’s photography.

But kudos to the stylist.  I want one of everything.  I like how there’s no price on the Celine coat.  Waaahh.

  • Tiger Gray

    Her smile terrifies me.

  • anilly

I had to do the math for the second to last look: $12,785. She’s wearing the equivalent value for a car !!! That’s just insane. Whoever would pay this kind of money, doesn’t deserve the money they have.

  • Anonymous

Her smiles in the first and last pictures look forced.  I like the rest.  I wonder what kind of photos Terry Richardson would be taking from jail, where he belongs…

  • just julie

Love the coats, but anything attached tot hat man makes me feel like I need to wash after viewing.
Why is he able to still find employment?

  • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

The coats may be killa, but the prices are just plain obscene.  When one stupid coat costs more than I make in a month, something is seriously wrong.

  • Anonymous

I want that Celine coat!! And for $5590, that Laurent peacoat had better get up, make me breakfast and take out the garbage!!!

  • Anonymous

she looks great in everything & i am loving the coats

  • Anonymous

LOVE!  I want those Marni Glasses and pretty much every outfit from this shoot.

  • Anonymous

Kirsten needs to adopt this hair gay – she’s been looking really polished lately.

  • Anonymous

she looks amazing in that coca-cola picture… i think its the best ive ever seen her!!! (as far as i can remember)
coke should def put that on a poster somewhere

  • Lisa

She just really looks fabulous in picture after picture!  She’s always had a really great look for retro, and it’s good to see the stylist using this to it’s fullest extent.

  • Laura Helton

Holy crap…!   She looks like she’s about to drain my blood, twilight-style.   The best picture is the 3rd one… cute minidress, non-scary Kirsten.

  • Anonymous

I would wear any one of those looks, even though I might end up pulling an Aniston. The best Kiki has ever looked.

  • Geno Boggiatto

WOW this is the best she’s ever looked!  LOVE LOVE LOVE the LV coat with the leather boots.

  • Anonymous

The coats are great and Kiki looks fresh and happy, and those are both very good things. But I think the world needs to stop giving creepy Uncle Terry work. Not just because of his normal creep factor but he overexposes everything and it is just plain bad lighting. Always.

  • Praggya R. Barretto

Whoever styled her needs to go on Kiki’s permanent payroll. Lovely!

  • Karenlibrarian

Not loving the jacket in #6 but the boots are FIERCE.  And I love her Veronica Lake hair.  Styling is gorgeous!

  • Anonymous

All I can do is laugh at the FrootLoops artfully glued onto the spoon.

  • Anonymous

    Me loves.

  • Anonymous

The Celine and LV are adorable.

  • Ana Cedillo

she looks sooooo great. i dont even like her pale skinny ass self but she looks amazing here these are awesome pics and beautiful clothes

  • Ana Cedillo

i have to say, i love editorials where people are smiling and dont have pouty faces or half opened mouthed serious “modeling” looks. but instead look like real people having fun and not taking themselves too seriously, great publicity for the celebrity and it makes me enjoy the fashion way more.

  • Stacy

Favorite picture is definitely the one with her wearing sunglasses eating cereal! That girl has got a great smile!

  • Becca Robson

    I love her :)

  • Anonymous

Who pays $725 for shorts? Really?  Honestly.  However, I love each and every look and would kill for the last photo of the coat.

  • Anonymous

Oooooh, that Celine is yummy! Actually all of them are gorgeous. Normally I don’t care for Ms. Dunst as a model but she looks really good here. I’ll refrain from voicing my disdain for the photographer. Just call me passive aggressive, ha.

I don’t get Terry Richardson…  How does this man get work???
