And yes, that was deliberate.
Alexander Skarsgård attends the premiere of “Melancholia” during the 49th annual New York Film Festival in Yves Saint Laurent.
There’s a lot to love here. We’re talking about the clothes, but if you want to love the man, you go right ahead while we run down the look. This is a really great color scheme. Love that taupe, brown and gunmetal grey combo; very autumnal and masculine. It’s a thing right now to do the matchy tie, but we’re not much of a fan. We find ourselves wishing there was a little more contrast between the tie and the suit. LOVE the shoes. But what troubles us here is the fit. The pants are near-perfect; the jacket, less so. He’s standing ramrod straight with his arms at his side and it’s still pulling slightly across his midsection. In addition, the sleeves and the length of the jacket are a couple centimeters too short and we should be able to see his shirt cuffs, but we don’t. Basically, he looks like he’s afraid to move or he’ll rip something, which is kind of a shame, because it’s Alexander Skarsgård in Yves Saint Laurent. You would think that’d be a no-brainer.
IN! He’s like ELEVEN FEET TALL, you bitches! Stop ragging on the fit!
OUT! Swedish Frankenstein.
The vote on Sarah Jessica Parker’s “I’m just running out to get the paper” look was: Hair and Makeup: IN; Everything Else: OUT. You bitches are getting awfully specific.
