In or Out: Zoe Saldana in Giambattista Valli
When we’re looking through the various red carpet pics of the day to decide which ones are worth posting about, there’s really only one criterion: Do we have anything to say about this? “Cute/Shitty dress, but I don’t know what else to say about it.” “Me neither.” That’s the entire editorial process here at T Lo Bitchery, Inc. Good or bad doesn’t matter; it’s indifference that must be avoided.
But we have a problem, you see.

We keep looking at this and saying “Wait. Why did we pick this again?” But we’re still typing, so we must, on some level, have a need to talk about this look even if we’re unsure what we want to say.
We’ll start with this, because we know it will shock some of the Bitter Kittens to the core: we think the matchy shoes were the right choice for this dress. Seriously. First off, it helps that they’re supercute shoes. Secondly, we think there’s something slightly drab about that print (hence our battle with indifference). The black elements are there to serve as contrast, but it’s not working for us. The shoes are a good way of pulling the one bright color out of the look and highlighting it. In fact, the more we look at it, the more we’re focusing on that black sheer panel on the front. It’s distracting. If it didn’t have that and the print was used for the entire bodice, with a crew neckline, we think this might have looked a lot cuter.
Now don’t go holding that matchy shoe thing over our heads for all eternity, bitches. We still think they’re a bad idea 99% of the time.
IN! Sweet and chic!
OUT! Drab and overdesigned!
Voting on Rose Byrne’s Frankendress is still open, darlings.
