Frau Seal hauls herself back up on the publicity machine to poledance for Project Runway and proves that she’s still got it (as if there was any doubt).
Heidi Klum covers the August 2011 issue of Glamour magazine
On her critiques becoming harsher: “I don’t think so. But I do think that I’m more comfortable now than I was during the first few seasons. Now I’m more at ease. I see the designers and start singing this song [snapping along], ‘Another one bites the dust….’ I have more fun with it now.”
On keeping the show fresh: “It’s really about the specific designers…. Of course, some seasons are better than others. One thing that’s stayed the same is that we eat a lot of Cheetos! We all have orange hands, though you can’t really tell on Michael, because it blends in with his tan.”
On whether Tim Gunn ever gives her style advice: “He hasn’t. He’s so polite—he would never say, ‘Why are you wearing that?’ Michael [Kors] is a little bit more…well, he always jokes with me. He says that my skirts are really short. He calls it fallopian length. He teases me.”
On the longevity of Project Runway: “I’m going to be 80, walking with a stick down the runway.”
OUCH. That first quote is pretty bitchy.
Heidi’s capable of working a slightly narrow range of looks, but as she gets older, her ability to rock a pair of jeans seems to increase with each year. Cindy Crawford was the same way. She looked better in jeans at 40 than she did at 20. She’s also best working the mega-watt smile directly at the camera. The clothes are cute and she’s selling the hell out of everything (including herself), so it did it’s job. We have to admit, we’re jonesing for some Project Runway.
