Double-WERQ: Klum & Kors at amfAR Inspiration Gala

Posted on June 15, 2011

The Kluminator and the Duchess hit the red carpet for a good cause and we think they both look smashing. We’re going to work “smashing” into our daily vocabulary. Also, “supercilious,” because it sounds funny.

Anyway.

Heidi Klum at the 2nd Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City in a Michael Kors dress.

It’s hilarious how she makes sure the world can still see her legs in a gown. Never change, Heidster.

Michael Kors Fall 2011 Collection/Model: Jourdan Dunn

It’s a beautiful dress and we’re so glad she didn’t wear the brown runway version. The brown is fine, but this blue is perfect for Heidi’s coloring. And Mr. Kors looks quite well turned-out. He always does when he has an event to attend, but we never really took the time to compliment him on it. In fact, we think Mr. Kors should consider ditching his normal uniform of black t-shirt, jeans, and sports coat, and start wearing suits more often. He’s become a household name and one of, if not THE most important American fashion designers. Plus, he always looks impeccable and significantly thinner when he wears one. Do it, Duchess. You’ve made a career as a latter day Bill Blass, so why not take another page from his book and start dressing impeccably all the time? There’s nothing wrong with the standard Kors uniform, but it’s gotten a little stale. Anyway,  they both look fabulous, cosmopolitan, and sophisticated (and orange); and not at all like two reality show judges.

Okay, yes. That last bit was just a little bitchy. WERQ it, ladies! You’re gorgeous fashion superstars!
